Ring Tail Woe: Keypoint 1 - North

Kura would wait a few seconds, bang on the door a few times to make sure it wasn't going to fall on his head anytime soon, and slipped through the hole as fast as he could without making contact with the door. What an ordeal!

Godric's technique was a success. The cutting blades dug into the stone, blasting away the wall of the smaller tunnel. Debris hurled forward with the wind of the blades, then settled down as the main force of the attack died down.

The smaller tunnel didn't go too far, only about twenty meters before it opened up into a room.

If there was anything in this room, it would be incredibly difficult to tell.

The rubble from Godric's attack buried most of the floor with crushed stone blocks.

Kura slipped past the second door, and found himself in a tunnel without a shred of light. The glowing effect from before didn't extend here, so Kura found himself consumed by darkness.

If nothing else Godric was a predator. Indeed he had an incredible sense of sight. Darkvision up to 35 meters, and being Hyuuga, even though his Byakugan was currently deactivated. He was content and thought his goggles will due for now. He switch that through the visions as he stood at the edge to this room, and finally settling upon the thermal vision just in case there might be some invisible beings within this room.

Though aside from simply sight, Godric had his hearing. 50 meters away from him, he could pinpoint noises, though to identify them was something else. Not only that but he could smell up to a distance of 20 meters, taking a movement he could find a general direction of that smell, should that smell get within 2 meters of him he could pinpoint it's location. Though interestingly enough he could identify the smell through his tracking capabilities. So all in all he wont be going at this blind.

So with his keen abilities Godric took a bit of time to investigate this area from his location. Any kind of information that he would need. He was a master at observation so anything moving within his vision he would focus upon. Any kind of sound he would use his observation prowess to enhance this aspect. And finally if there was a scent he took that moment to identify what it was and were it was coming from. He had an air of confidence as he did this as his Doom Ward was still active and he was letting it warn him of any dangers from this position.

Keeping the claw for extra turns costs the user a 'B' rank amount of chakra each turn.
Description: A very strong and useful technique for battering against barriers, defeating large enemies and proving a very big point, the Kagidzume allows the user to manipulate their thunder skills and produce a powerful claw on either of their arms, capable of swiping away at things, striking large objects, or even being released for a fixed distance. A staple technique for any warrior wishing to call themselves a raiton master.

Godric used his senses on whatever may be in the room... but nothing came up. Besides the rubble he caused to bury the ground, there was nothing that alerted the abilities that he currently used. Nothing here was living, nor was there the smell of the dead.

The lightning succeeded in acting as a makeshift light source. After running forward by roughly twenty meters, he felt as if he had run into a wall.

The tunnel still looked empty, and stretched on, but something invisible was blocking his advance.

There was nothing to be concerned of in this room. Nothing that Godric could see or sense. He could activate his Byakugan once again. From his previous experience he found this place to be permeating from the substance. That puts him on edge...

Pondering his situation Godric thought about this for just a moment. Continuing was inevitable so the way forward would be traversed shortly. Though he would keep look back one more time to make sure that his exit was open should he need it. Thus he would take a step into the empty room and be on his way. His Doom Ward should warn him of any danger so he had time to exit should this room consist of anything life threatening...

Just as Godric activated his Byakugan and turned to leave the room, there was something unusual about the floor. Although it was buried underneath the rubble of the earlier technique, there were signs of concentrated energy along the floor. It was arranged in a line with various bends, and hard to notice with the fog of energy from the surrounding atmosphere. There was no sign of it could really was, only that there was power present.

The tunnel ahead appeared to flicker as it was struck. The flickering showed a dead end, and it may appear that the tunnel itself was the illusion.

Satisfied that there were no threats in this room Godric started to investigate this chakra upon the ground. He felt he had to clear the floor to get a better picture. Or rather clear what he needed. First he had to sheath his three katanas back into the multi weapon holster.

Next Godric would take note of the lines, if it looked like they continued under rubble, he simply picked it up and threw it in the left corner closet to the tunnel that he came in from. If the rubble was more of a large boulder, well his superior strength would ensure he was able to toss it where he wanted. All in all he wanted to discover what these lines could be. Though there was still the matter of dust upon the ground.

For this Godric would use the same strike that he used when encountering that first door. Generating chakra into his palm and then striking it upon the ground in the center of the room. He thought that the force could spread across the ground and push any small and lighter debris, like dust, away. Finally to ensure that he could get the best picture he could get, he was a master at observation, so at least if there was anything that was hard to see, he had trained eyes to give him an edge.

It apparently appeared that the tunnel was both a dead end and a tunnel at the same time. Kura really had no idea what to do other than to just stand there disbelieving his predicament until something interesting happened.

[Nira]

On the floor that he cleared away, Godric found himself presented with three colored circles. The circles were of a hollow color, and raised from the ground by only the slightest bit. Whatever they were was not obvious.

The white lines ended at the circles, and the system of strands surrounded them.

The circles came in three colors. One red, one yellow, and one black. They were present side by side, each one only a third of a meter away from the next. When Godric removed rubble from the black circle, he was able to see that the circle had been pushed down by the debris, and removing it caused the circle to raise back up.

The red and yellow circle were unaffected by the objects scattered on the ground.

Kura did nothing, and so nothing happened. For now, he was stuck at a dead end. The illusion continued to flicker, though Kura knew it was not real.

Glodric would first start to think back upon his memory. Perhaps there was some tales of this mountain and past heroes that might have passed these challenges. He could tell that this was some sort of switch of some kind, perhaps even a sophisticated locking mechanism. Either way it was puzzling for sure. But then again perhaps one of these tales could give him light on how to figure this out. He was a master when it came to world history so if it was significant enough he might have a chance.

Although there was the reality that Godric could not draw upon any knowledge. And if that is the case he had to figure this out. So the obvious answer was to simply stack all the large debris and boulders upon the center circle. Thus he would do just that. And he was expecting all the rings to activate or shift as it once had. Though there might be more to this if that was not the case. Should it not be then...

Godric might figure that it could be tied to elements. The debris was of the earth element since it was carved from the mountain itself. So the yellow could be a wind element and the red being of fire. So blowing on the yellow circle he found out weather that was the case. Then taking a chunk of his cloth wrap from his multi weapon holster he set it upon the red circle. Taking a katana he struck it upon the ground with the cloth caught in between. He tried this until there was a spark that caught the cloth and it catching fire. Thus he observed the results. It this was not the case...

Then Godric might be out of ideas. Besides brute force there was nothing else he could try. He could not find anything else with his Byakugan, though he made a final scan of the room with the X-ray function of the Byakugan just to make sure. See if there are any hidden doors here or passageways....

Description: When concentrating to See Through Chakra, the character can also spend time equal to Handseals to gain the ability to see through objects with X-ray like vision up to 10 meters from the user. This does not impede the user's line of sight and the distance a user can normally see, however they simply will not be able to use the X-ray ability beyond 10 meters. When the user first learns this technique the user trains it as a regular "C" Rank Jutsu. Each additional training allows the user to use the X-Ray ability for an additional 10 meters. For every 50 meters the user trains an additional +10 Training Points added to their previous training. The user also suffers a penalty to Observation checks every 15 meters instead of every 3 meters. If user loses an eye (has 1 eye) Telescopic Eye is reduced by 50%. Future learning also reduces distance by 50%.

It took time to circle all the way around the mountain, time in which progress here could very well have already been completed. But it didn't hurt to be sure. She still bore her many bags of supplies, from various types of grenade types to ink and paper for painting. The Flame Regalia hastened her approach of course, whining with kinetic energy, but she still had time to double-check herself. Strawberry Clay, a bracelet full of senbon, navigation tools and lockpicks were all in place, as were her goo pouches to incapacitate offenders without damaging their bodies too badly. She fiddled with her multiuse brush as she entered the expected cavern. What a strange place, this was.

She wondered idly if she would again fall victim to whatever hallucinogen populated this mountain. Wondered if those who had come before had already been affected likewise.

Still in the initial chamber, the Li cast her gaze over all, setting her goggles to a condition-viewing filter. This would point out any living bodies in the gloom were any present, as well as inform her of their current status through a variety of means such as heart rate and temperature.

Kura would have eventually realized he was SOL and would deactivate his technique. He would backtrack towards the beginning of the cave at a walking pace.

Godric seemed to be right about the fire. The red button lower upon exposure to high heat, just as the black button lowered due to exposure with weight. However, the yellow button was not affected by wind.

And so, Kura once again reached the door that he crawled under.

There were no living beings to examine at the moment. There were three tunnels. One towards the right covered by impenetrable green flames. One in the middle that went downward into an underwater area. Finally, one towards the left with a collapsed crystal door.

[Draven]

Godric was happy to see a reaction. There was elemental components to this lock. He would try to spit upon the yellow circle. His idea here was the element of water. Though he did not stop there. He blew upon it and it did not react so he this spit did nothing then he continued to try and see what would work.

There was an element Godric could produce. He started to sing, and as he did this he took one of the kunai from his chest rig. This kunai would be then charged with the fusion of chakra and sound. Moving back about 10 meters or as far as he could. He threw the kunai charged with this element at the yellow circle. The noise and force it produced would be enough to harm ones ears if they were close enough. Hopefully this should do the trick...

Though if there still was no reaction Godric would have to ponder upon what might. Perhaps an electrical element. Taking his goggles off he would keep switch it to an x-ray function. There would be some electrical component to this gadget and hopefully that would activate the yellow ring. Either way he retrieved his kunai and stowed it in his chest rig and placed the goggles into a cloak pocket.

And so Godric might have to continue trying. For a sand element he would take one of the smaller stones and start grinding it up with a katana. Once he thought it was of sand consistency he placed it upon the yellow ring. He thought about it and the yellow color might have indicated that this was a good candidate.

Of course there was still the possibility that Godric had not found the correct element yet. So he kept trying not ready to give up. Ice element was something he simple would not be able to produce so that was out of the question. The wood element was simple, if he had wood, since he couldn't produce the stuff so unfortunately for him that was out as well. He couldn't even comprehend the crystal element or even how to find some so that was another option he was unable to produce. But paper element was something simple. He had a map that he laid down upon the yellow ring. So with all his efforts perhaps now he had figured this lock out.

Drawback: Projectiles can be avoided. Projectiles must hit a solid surface, not surfaces like dirt or sand. Effectiveness decreases with distance. Some weapons cannot be used.
Description: After performing the needed melody, the user reaches for a metallic throwing projectile. The chakra quickly infuses into weapon and the user proceeds to throw it at an opponent. Once projectiles clash into solid surface (preferable another metallic or stone object- which provides optimal sound creation) chakra amplifies the sound waves created in the clash. Chakra within the weapon is released and greatly intensifies sound. The sound generated only reaches a maximum of a 5 meter radius, which is why the user will want the projectile to be blocked intently. The five meter radius is sufficient to harm the opponent and cannot be increased in any way. The one who falls within the area of this technique will suffer searing pain in their ear, minor disorientation (one post), and the inability to hear (one post).
-This technique is also limited by distance. After traveling at least 20 meters from the user, chakra dissipated completely, making the jutsu ineffective.
-This Technique must be learned multiple times. When first learned, the user is only able to use this jutsu on two throwing weapon. Every time learned allows the user to use an additional projectile.
-A maximum of six weapons can only be used
-Small weapons such as senbon cannot be used, while a large weapons might be rather impractical (but effective regardless).

Kura would pass through the opening under the door, and circumvent the second door in his path. Once doing so he would continue towards the start of the cave. This was likely to take some time as he was doing this all blindly.

She didn't feel any different after entering, nor was there evidence of individuals affected by mind-altering substances or otherwise. This place was real. Maybe. If this was real, then s too might be the events she'd encountered previously, which mocked all science and physics.

Nothing for it, but to choose a path, through the ruined door, the submerged cavern, or the flame-covered path.

Lacking the appropriate equipment or skills to go diving for an extended period and no sure knowledge she could defeat the flames, Riza chose to proceed beyond the doorway. Perhaps she would encounter an ally, or else exercise her persuasive talents against an opponent. Either way would be fine, most likely. She wasn't the type to instigate violence without first knowing without doubt she could win. Not when negotiation served her ends just as readily, without sacrificing potential resources.

Godric had placed the gadget upon the yellow button, which sunk into the ground like the other two buttons.

The entire cave suddenly began to rumble. Should anyone view the walls with eyes that could detect chakra, they would see white energy flowing chaotically, like boiling water was bubbling off the stone.

The white energy intensified to the point where all the stones were glowing bright white, and then, without warning...

Everyone in the cave disappeared.

Detection techniques didn't prepare anyone for this, for no one was placed in danger...

Godric, Kura, and Riza found themselves in freefall. The sky was as black as the darkest of ink, having no indication of distance.

In this freefall, everything felt weightless.

A giant and glowing emerald was falling along with them. The emerald was about a hundred meters away from Godric, and three hundred meters away from Riza and Kura.

There was no indication of a ground, this fall seemed bottomless.

Godric trusted his own soul to know weather he was in danger or not. So he had at least six seconds of safety if not more should his soul continue not to warn him about any danger. But now was the time where Godric looked around as he fell to see the emerald. He had a feeling that was his goal.

But before Godric attempted to reach it he played a little tune with his singing. It was to return any items that he had left behind, say his gadget that activated that final ring. That would return to its normal location in his cloak, once the song had concluded, along with any other items he had misplaced.

Next it was time to reach the emerald. Godric sent his soul forward 10 meters. His body would then snap to that location. He used it again and again his body snapped to that location. He continued to aim his soul and soul shunt toward the emralds location. He did this a total of ten times till should be at the emeralds location. Using nearly all of his soul energy only leaving him with roughly one fifth of his reserves left. This also would nearly take a total of six seconds, Harmonious Karma, and the Soul Shunts combined.

Thus if he was allowed to touch the Emerald he would. If he needed to claim it he claimed it for his team. He was sure this was one of the nods that was needed. This looking to be some sort of power supply for whatever mechanisms are within this mountain. Claiming it for the east and for Queen pearl.

Description: User's soul makes a 10 meter step (unaffected by gravity or objects) and the user snaps to its spot. If the user's soul is beyond a solid object after the 10 meter and there is no way for user's body to follow, the user will move to the object and the soul will meet the user there. This ability cannot be used to scout, the user's soul only goes where the user tells it. If a creature can see Chakra or Aura they can see the user's soul as it moves about. The amount of time to perform is equivalent to a "D" Rank technique, however the Soul Shunt movement is instantaneous.
