Ring Tail Woe: Keypoint 1 - North

Kura had just passed under the second door when he was transported to who knows where. It didn't take long for him to realize that he was falling very rapidly and that there was a glowing emerald about one hundred meters away.
This is probably what I'm looking for.

Kura grasped hold of two of his kunai, concentrated on them for a second, then commanded the metal to move towards the crystal. If this truly was free fall, then it wouldn't take much effort to drag his body towards the crystal. That being said, he wouldn't make it to the crystal nearly as fast as Godric.
How is he moving in the air without any kind of support? Strange.

Two people fell with her, though one was too far off to see clearly. The closer of them seemed capable of teleporting through the air without the slightest difficulty. But when observed carefully by a trained eye, one could vaguely see the emanations of spiritual power. She knew that skill, could replicate it if she chose, but there would be no point.

The crystal that was her obvious objective simply could not be reached faster than the other individual. There was another option, she could destroy it and deny him the pleasure of victory...but there was no guarantee it would break the gem or kill the still-moving person. She didn't recognize him. It was an enemy then. Her team had lost for sure. The score would be tied, one for one.

Better to conserve her power and resources than to waste them on little more than spite.

It went as well as one would expect.

Godric was first to reach and touch the shining emerald.

As it was touched, the intensity of the emerald's glow increased until green obscured everyone's vision. Though oddly, the light wasn't blinding in a way that forced a person to look away.

The emerald practically spoke to Godric, asking for which side of the mountain to bond with. As planned, Godric answered for the East, Queen Pearl's side.

After a while, the green glow faded from each person's vision.

Godric, Kura, and Riza found themselves standing in front of the cave, which had been blocked off with a solid wall of pearly stone. Each person stood about twenty meters away from the next. Godric was over in the South-East, Kura was in the North-West, and Riza was in the center.

Godric smiled a toothy grin... Thought the smile faded rather quickly as when he found himself outside. Didn't have long at all before his skin would catch on fire. Not wasting any time he would Shunshin away toward his respected area.

Kura would drop to his knees and cry put in anguish.

"Curse you!" He would yell as his opponent disappeared in a bust of flames. The kyoudo would exit the area, determined to win the next checkpoint.

The enemy sped off in a literal blaze of glory, having claimed victory for his employer. But wait, hadn't the Voice said East? Why was Kura wailing so? East was the green side, the Lemur side...wasn't it?

"I...may have made an irrevocable error. I really should pay more attention to my surroundings instead of thinking on my next project."

There was only one proper recourse. She had to know for certain, before acting on a theory that may not be fact. An experiment, if you will. It wasn't as though those bunch of hippies would have the spleen to execute her if a mistake truly had been made.

Seeking privacy behind a larger stone, she once more changed into her teal-and-white formalwear, before taking wing on an owl of ink. Dress to impress.
