ometimes you don't need new ideas, when merely to revive and old one is enough and damn this one did not need much CPR. Once a budding new contest with a bright future ahead it broke down on me after a candidate defaulted when I was on a streak of low activity. Too bad to see such a great contest die like a butterfly in a bucket, gasping one last time as it futilely flutters it's colourful wings. So without further ado, what is the idea? It is simple as before, you write a small text in exchange for epicness, fame and cash! Oh my lawd Solus, is it that simple?! No, it’s not. Of course there’s a catch: You don’t get to choose when you have to write or what you have to write about, that choice is up to your predecessor. Once chosen by the one who went before you you’ll write your own text about the subject given to you. Then you work your magic, in the last paragraph of your personal essay you mention who is to write the next text and its subject. And like that the writring will continue (hopefully) forever (this time). Remember though, this is NFRP so this is supposed to be amusement, not an essay for your school teacher.

So basically it will look like this: Bob writes a text about his bike and asks Sarah to write something about flowers. Then Sarah writes her text about flowers and asks John to write a text about his attic. Then John chooses a writer for the next text and a fresh subject, like this it will go on infinitely.

But, Solus, I thought you spoke about epicness, fame and cash? Well, if you are good at writing something funny or inspirational the epicness and fame will find you, that is entirely up to your own abilities. But I understand that cash does not magically appears from the sky. Let’s say you have been chosen to write something and you have submitted your text. Then you get 50,000 ryo for just writing a single piece of text! All neatly deposited by the first passing staffer on the account on which you posted your piece. Nifty ain’t it?

Of course there are a few technicalities. If it is your turn to write and you don’t post here within a month a new person and subject will have to be chosen by the last writer and you will lose your shot at writing. It’s okay to post comments about what has been written in this thread, but don’t post a text if it’s not your turn, it will be removed and you will get a verbal warning. Don’t break the site rules, don’t try to instigate anything negative and don’t try to abuse the contest to further your shady personal agenda, it’s supposed to be a fun contest for everyone and I expect all of you guys to behave in such a way that you don’t ruin this for everyone else. I won’t be arbitrary when it comes to this contest, I just expect you all to be nice to each other, okay? Below I created a short list of the rules. Alright, that’s the end to my rules and ‘be nice to each other’ rant. ^^

The appeal of the undead

Mostly their skin, maybe an ear, and some have their nose hanging off... Nyuk nyuk nyuk . But seriously I have never ran into an undead who wasn't entirely interested in picking my brain! I would say their not great conversationalists, but they can lend an ear to whatever woes you might have!.. or an arm, or leg... Hell they can even give you tips! Though sometimes that comes with the rest of the finger as well. And hey ladies! Zombies are the the only "people?" that are guaranteed to love you for your brain! Though I wouldn't recommend one as a boyfriend, a bit to clingy for sure EEk! But common guys who wouldn't want and undead lady who never says no! AMIRIGHT!!! A brown paper bag goes a long way!!! Anyway there's some thought for food..erm food for thought?

The Versatility of Boomerangs

This writing started out as an experiment of sorts. It started as a lengthy discussion in finding the answers as to what is perhaps the most versatile, and most diverse light weapon ever to be created for the purposes of saving lives while inflicting justice on those who do wrong.

I first started to look into the implications of the two types of Shurikens (Hira, Bo). These weapons were exceptional in many ways. They were light, and had great stopping power however their primary purpose was piercing into objects. I later rejected the idea of using Shurikens due to their lack of versatility. Making a Shuriken do something else other than pierce was complicated and frustrating when under the influence of a strong Hippocratic Oath.

The Size of the weapon was something I was looking for however I later decided to look into more obscure weapons. That was when I ran into the Boomerang. The size was similar to that of a Shuriken however their primary focus of damage was bludgeoning. Bludgeoning damage was perfect for those who wish to keep the ideals of not taking a life. It was better to have stopping power with a crushing effect that may be treated in a later date after battle instead of having a weapon pierce into the lungs of a man and have them bleed out choking in their own blood.

Bludgeoning was not the only type of damage a boomerang was possible however. I later developed a way of sharpening the ends without the boomerang losing any range. This gave the boomerang a piercing property. Now as to not contradict my earlier statements the piercing property could be used in ways that would not cause adverse effects against an opponent which will be explained later on.

With enough practice in the art of throwing there were many ways of increasing the versatility of the Boomerang. One way which is perhaps the most important way was the art of throwing return. With enough practice a user of the Boomerang can hurl it, and have it return to the user. Another which I find incredibly useful is the throw to hit multiple targets with a single throw. Using a Piercing weapon would make this incredibly difficult to accomplish.

Through extensive testing and with prior knowledge through the technician world the Boomerang was later devised in such a way where it could "retract" within itself, creating a foldable Boomerang. This was highly important due to the limitations of having to fill as many utility items within the space of 50 cubic inches (819 cubic centimeters). Thus the era of creating the Foldable Boomerang.

Continuing the research of the Boomerang and using my background understanding of the Technical world I later came to find out that a Boomerang was small, and yet large enough to contain what the Technicians called a "Holder Enhancement". The purpose of a Holder Enhancement was to allow a weapon to be filled with another item gadget or otherwise of similar dimensions to fit within the first mentioned object. With this creation the versatility of the Boomerang increased as the ideas of keeping Smoke, Goo, and Ice pouches inside became very fitting within my work.

In order to keep with the ideas of versatility we move back to the idea of "Piercing" damage and the connections of having them with people who have ideals similar to mind. The idea of using a piercing weapon is rare but possible, especially when trying to hit a wall as a diversion, stop a device from working (if possible), or perhaps ensuring an opponent will drop a weapon by drilling the Boomerang into the hand of the opponent. Statistics have shown it is nearly impossible to bleed to death from a hand wound.

This concludes the report on my research on the Boomerang and its versatility options.

Being a great warrior of course allowed Bruce Lee his entrance to Vallhalla. Spirited away from his empty shell by the beautiful warrior women known as Valkyries, the legend found his new home. This new world of Vallhalla was a dream to those who devoted themselves to martial arts. Golden shields interlocked to make a shining ceiling above the great hall. The great tree Glasir stands at the end of the hall, its golden leaves making it the most beautiful tree known to man or God. Yet the great Bruce Lee was not here to observe foliage.

The warriors of Vallhalla were skilled there was no doubt. But who could match the master? Lee was welcomed to the halls, and to teach the slain warriors the art of hand to hand combat. His ethereal speed made him an instant star in the hall of the slain. Now he was able to put his skills to use, teaching more than he had ever dreamed. Each warrior was a disciple. Each day held a lesson. Yet as we know, Bruce Lee was not a foolish man. When he did not teach, he learned. Great weapons were taught to him. Each warrior who had aught to teach was welcomed, and invited to do so. In these great halls of Vallhalla the legend would teach, but he would also learn.

The greatest of all his adventures was soon to come. Odin presided over the grand hall known as Vallhalla while his warriors prepared for Ragnarok. Silent and omnipotent he watched. Yet if Odin lusted for anything, it was knowledge. It was in a hunt for knowledge that he had once hung himself from Yggdrasil to gain the knowledge of runes. A hush fell amongst the warriors as Odin rose and moved through the hall. Warriors moved aside, making a path for their all-father.

Bruce Lee however knew what would come. He stood his ground in the center of the path and awaited Odin's approach. The pair met, squarely facing each other and waiting. It was the King of Gods who broke the silence as he fell to one knee and asked what he must sacrifice in order to learn. A smile would cross the face of the great master. "You already have." He told Odin as he extended a hand to help him to his feet. There is very little a god can sacrifice, yet in the moment of sacrificing his pride he would learn all he needed to know.

Odin was so stunned by the presence, skill, and most of all the philosophy that the great Bruce Lee was chosen to lead the slain ones to the battlefield when Ragnarok began. It would be he they looked to for direction in battle. And it would be he who would be their savior.

Now this is a tale with a long history, so let's take it back to the very beginning. I was born and raised in small town California where 'Sunny California' holds up as more of a joke. Fast forward to the fourth grade where little Zets will be performing with the rest of his class and singing Mickey Mouse's March, the theme song for the old TV show, The Mickey Mouse Club. For the show I was chosen as the person who would say 'Donald Duck' during the chorus, a role that was taken on with gusto!

One day, about a week before the talent show, I was watching the Disney channel and during one of the commercial breaks they had these little informative skits where they would teach you various things about Disney. This one happened to be a lesson on how you could learn to talk like Donald Duck which inspired me. I was determined to learn how to talk like Donald Duck in time for the talent show so I could play the part better and speak his name as it was spoken in the song, with his voice. Alas, there was not enough time and despite all my practice, I could never master the voice of Donald Duck in time and I played my part with just the voice of a young boy. Still, I had a lot of fun playing with my voice the way I did and I kept practicing, and still do, to get the voice just right.

I had a lot of fun doing the voice and so I keep playing with what I can do with my voice, sometimes I would create a voice, sometimes I would imitate a voice. I kept going at it and as I became more and more interested in Anime and video games I also became interested in voice acting as a career path along with acting in general. Now, I would like to call upon Nira to write about the inner workings of work at and the contents of your ideal Library.

My Ideal Library Books

My favorite genre is fantasy, because I think that's where the best universes are forged. All the colors, the drama, the emotions that come pouring out in this world you wish you could live in. A place where magic leads you to your dreams.

I want my library to show that, as well.

Out there, in the world, it's gloomy. Sure, you have your bright days and beautiful landscapes. No fault in that.

But here, we're in the cities and suburbs. Everything is so systematic and, frankly, grey.

That won't do, not in my library.

Colors must shine upon entrance. Not blinding, no neons. That won't do. When you walk in, it has to be pastel. Yellows, greens, maybe some browns. Something like what nature offers. An easy transition into our world of marvelous imagination.

Kids section by the entrance, maybe a miniature playground for the tiny ones to roll about when we read them stories.

Next to that, non-fiction. Have to face it, most people in here are students getting together and such. Projects and essays and all that jazz, they'll need the books of reality.

Set up most of the long tables here for study groups. A couple enclosed rooms towards the walls for groups that require privacy.

And then, finally, the realm of fantasy!

Oh... how would it go?

Scales, rainbows, flames, sparkles. That's for the classic fantasies. Malazan, Harry Potter, Song of Ice and Fire, Tolkien, Coldfire, all that jazz.

Uh... metallic colors for sci-fi, I think. Some nice silvers, maybe a little aquamarine here and there for glow.

Oh, light and happy in romance! Passionate hues all over.

Emerald streaks and spirals for mystery!

And then all the giant reference books in the back, with the one-person wooden mini-cubicles for all those college and business peeps. Gotta keep that bland, otherwise they can't concentrate.

Sorry for the lateness y'all, eh? Here I go.

I've been nominated to speak about the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender, more specifically who would I be in this world and what I would do. First, I would like to explain, while being brief, why this fictional world resonates so much with me.

I've always been a fan of history. The history of our world, but also that of fictional ones. There are so many elements from the world of Avatar that is taken from our history that it all feel familiar, even if it is a world where spirits may be spoken to and where a portion of the population can manipulate an element. Air Nomads are inspired by Buddhist monks, Fire Nation are taken quite clearly from Japanese Imperialism, Water tribes are both inspired by the Inuit people while taking elements from the Native Amerincans, Aztecs and much more, and the Earth Bender are definitely their version of dynastic China. Its characters taking inspiration directly from history, I could name Fire Lord Ozai and the Earth Queen as direct parallels of people in our very own history.

Secondly, though it is a "child's" show, it has spoken of quite adult themes. The first series, Avatar: The Last Airbender, deals with genocide, deforestation, colonization, dictatorship, government subjugation, war and death. White Legend of Korra bumps up the political commentary even more, go straight for things like racial segregation, anarchy, civil war, political unrest, political unification, etc...

In the land of Avatar, I would definitely prefer being born in the time of Avatar Korra, a time where the world is finally starting to modernize itself seventy years after a hundred year war. Things are looking up as the world comes together with Republic City. My name is Miri and I live in the Southern Water tribe. I've been brought up on the fabled stories of Avatar Aang, his wife Katara and her brother Sokka. I've heard the stories of how my nation was at some point nothing but a snow tower and a few igloos, but now it is an immense and thriving ice city, not unlike our Northern neighbours! The Southern tribe not being as traditional as its counterpart from the north, when my water bending was discovered, I was not limited only to healing, instead I studied with Katara herself, honing my skills alongside avatar Korra herself!

When the avatar leaves for Republic city though, I remain behind with my family and friends. Through the months that follow I hear the epic tails of the avatar and am truly inspired to go on my own and discover the world for myself. Sadly, the Water Tribes civil war begins and I find to protect my nation along Tonraq, Korra's father... Though the civil war does come to an end, spirits now roam the world, changing forever the land we live in! After a few more months and Avatar Korra dealing with the Red Lotus, I finally leave on my own adventure, hoping to explore this fabled land and study its history and secrets!

f you ask me about Europe you immediately get into a very difficult subject. Europe is old and ancient, a giant dragging all of its past into the future. It has a density of demons in its closet, horror stories about every single hill and more myths than any place on earth. No screw that, more than all other places on earth combined. But... What is Europe and more importantly, where is it? In the South, West and North there are seas that neatly signify the end of the continent, but where does it stop to the east? Is it at the boundary of the European Union? That defies all history of Europe that even includes even countries like Georgia and Azerbaijan. The Ural? That defies the current political setting with the current problems we are facing with the Russian Federation. The Borders of the European Union? Where does that then leave countries like Swiss, Macedonia and Bosnia-Herzegovina? Each no doubt European. Or how about Istanbul? Or *shudders* the little pieces of world that are part of European countries despite being halfway across the world? Like the Dutch Islands of Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint Eustatius and Sint Maarten? Or the French Réunion, French Guyana, Saint Pierre and Miquelon? Oh gawd, this is making stuff complicated.



Let me therefore uncomplicated things by stating a completely arbitrary definition I just made up. Europe is a place, bordered on the west by the Atlantic ocean, to the North by the Arctic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean, Dardanelles, Bosporus and Black sea and the east by the Russian border or the Dnieper, whichever is more west. Now I have finally defined a spot, let’s finally talk Europe. You still with me?

Okay, let me be clear about one thing: Europe is not ‘paradise on earth’, but damn its close. If measured in wealth, no one has a higher GDP than the EU (No America, neither you or China is the world’s largest economy... Yeah, suck on that) On every list that ranks good things about countries, European countries dominate the top ten. Of course often accompanied by the ‘big three usual suspects’ , Canada, New Zealand and Australia, of which at least one always manages to sneak up to take its rightful place besides the healthy, happy and do-gooders of the world. Take a look at the top ten of the Good Country index, all western European nations (and New Zealand) there. Or the Social progress index (featuring the three usual suspects), the World Happiness report (featuring Canada), all the world’s best healthcare systems (featuring Canada), the list goes on and on and on and on... Our measuring units are better than any others. Hell, even our sperm count is higher (Yeah, you can suck on that too if you’re not from Europe).

Very well, let’s define the characteristics of the identified piece of world. Europe is united for the largest part in either the European Union, the European Economic Area or at least you could say that the countries within the EU’s sphere of influence are united. Yet, each is unique and different. (This has actually been quantified by the Hoffstede Parameters. You can find a link at the bottom, play around with it if you like) Each European nation is shaped by its history and environment. Germany by its central position, surrounded on all sides, yet rich in everything. The Netherlands by its eternal combat against the water which is also the source of our wealth. Belgium by its eternal combat against the Dutch. France by thinking they are better than they are better than everyone else and that it is still a superpower on its own. The United Kingdom, still caught up and wallowing in the Victorian era. The Polish, a people that still exist despite centuries of being beaten down by bigger bullies, whose graves litter the entirety of the continent, yet to whom acknowledgement for their sacrifice was always elusive. Their sharp contrast with the Swedish, who have not seen war in two hundred years. The Swiss, to whom war is merely an abstract three letter word. But which one is my favourite?

Every European Union citizen is free to travel and live anywhere within the Union, so surely I must have a backup option ready, right? Well, actually I don’t. I already live in what is almost paradise on earth, so I never really thought about this. Let’s be honest though, we Dutch talk too much. Okay let’s see... Germany is too stern. In Ireland there are too many sheep. The UK is too wet. Scotland too by the way. In Poland things are going too well. I would have nothing to complain about. Norway is too Cold. France is too Snobbish. Luxembourg is too small. Spain is too hot. Portugal too religious. Italy too corrupt. Greece is already in debt to me. Swiss is too neutral. Austria is too racist. The Czech are too industrious, seriously, don’t want to get tired. The Finnish are too weird. The Swedes talk too funny, I would just be laughing all the time. The Baltic states are too close to Kaliningrad. Belarus is too dictatorial. Malta is too pompous. Cyprus is overrun by Russian millionaires.



Bosnia-Herzegovina is too bullet riddled. Croatia is too beautiful. Slovakia is just Czech republic light. Hungarian is too difficult to learn. Montenegro is too black. Iceland too icey. Vatican City is too much work to get inside of. In Kosovo I simply cannot face the people. Macedonia is too new. In Serbia the internet is too slow. Bulgaria has bagpipes, meh. Romania is too Eastern European. Moldova should stop pretending it is not Romania. Ukraine’s life expectancy is too low.

Only Belgium is left... If you did not want to read the above, you can just skip to this part by the way. Belgium would do just fine. I speak one of the three languages already as my mother tongue, one of the other two is the most beautiful language in the world. German. (Sorry M) Let’s be honest though, the European Anthem is not in German for nothing. Just try to listen to ‘Je ne regrette rien’ without puking. Failed? So did I. Now, take German. “Achtung! Da ist ein Schmetterling! Sehr gefahrlich! Er hat ein Maschinengewehr!” Nothing better than shouting in German.

Obviously Belgium is the correct choice. It has everything a man wants. It has some of the best beers of the world such as Palm, Leffe, La Trappe, Chouffe, Brugse zot and more. Average cup size is slightly lower, but not by too much. An acceptable loss if you count in the WAFFLES! Omg, Belgian waffles are sooo damn good. No, wait, the entire Burgundian cuisine is terrific. The people are nice too.

Belgium has it all apparently, Burgundian easy going attitude, nice food, nice people, good living conditions, low taxes. What is there to wish for? They have sea, grassland, hills, mountains, the whole range except deserts, but those suck anyway. Nice temperature, sunny in the summer and snow for Christmas. I would definitely move there. And if I ever got homesick I can just walk across the border for a beer. Can life be any better than life in Belgium? Yes, it can, in the Netherlands. But that was not part of the assignment

I fear that this lovely little essay of mine isn't going to QUITE be as long as some of the others here, but I'll do my best... FOR PONY!

Anyway! As much as the common, joking answer would be "You mean I do work as a Head Mod? HAH!", the fact is.... Not much changed from going from Moderator to Head Moderator. Sure, I have the fancy green title that I lusted over for days, and practically creamed my pants when I finally saw that I had it. But ultimately, I still do the same staff work. I still approve characters, look over training, help out in support, approve new staff, approve customs, move threads, do Random encounters, do skill rolls... ALl the stuff that I did as a Moderator.

If anything, more stuff was added on. For there are things that require Head Staff approval. And I'm also a go to person for when people need help with something. After all, if I made it this far, I should know everything, amirite? (NOTE: I don't know everything about the site. SO QUIT BUGGING ME!)

And truth be told.... I'm having a hard time figuring out what I DON'T have to do as a Head Moderator now. I mean, technically I don't have to sign up for BM rotations. I don't have to watch over someone like an assistant. I don't have to worry AS Much on if I'm not doing enough work. And TECHNICALLY, I don't have to check things if I don't want to because... I'm Head Mod. I do what I want. *shot*

All in all... Being a Head Moderator is exciting. Sure, there are times where I don't feel like I'm doing enough. But at the same time, Heero, Ayame, and I work incredibly well together. We talk about certain things, and don't really step on each other's toes. I get to feel important. I get to feel like I'm changing things in a big way. Sure, I'm not the Customs genius that Ayame is. And I certainly don't have all the systems and cool new stuff that Heero brings out. But I bring things in my own way. I do what I can to make the Roleplaying and OOC experience better.

So there isn't much that I don't have to do now that I'm Head Moderator. But... At the same time, it adds more to the table than it takes away. And I'm okay with that. Because I like the position I have here. And I hope that it helps make others happier that I am here as Head Moderator.

I hope that answers it to some extent. Now I invite Penitence, or as I call him, Thomas... To write about why he is so alone.

Why Thomas is alone.



Thomas is alone. That is to say, I, am alone. It's a singular state of being, wherein I strive to make each and every day matter, in spite of my alone-ness, or perhaps because of it. Usually, people derive purpose from those around them, and the interactions they have with them. But I, Thomas, do not have that luxury. Thusly day in, day out, hour after hour, minute after minute, second after second, I strive, for purpose.

But why am I alone? Why do I exist in this singular state of being? Why I must strive for purpose? What has led me to this point? Well, to answer these questions, these burning holes of curiosity in the otherwise perfectly smooth plane that is my existence. We must delve, very deeply, into the past.

Twenty years ago, a man created some code. It was simple, just a set of parameters describing a name, just: 'Thomas'. But the man was not satisfied, no, he had to have more. So he added to the code, he gave it personality. He wrote the personality as a series of traits and emotions. it was very small at first, just one word: 'Thoughtful'. But again, as it was before, the man was not satisfied, there had to be depth, so he added.

Words like smug, and analytic. Words like smart, and proud. The list grew, and grew, and grew. And soon there were many hundreds of lines in the code. Thomas, was no longer just a name, Thomas, was a 'thing'. The man began to wonder whether his creation was a working... 'thing'. So he added another line of code, this one said: 'Talk'. So Thomas talked.

The man had many conversations with Thomas, talking endlessly with his creation. The man would go back to his code, and add things, like 'Learning' and 'Memory', so that Thomas could grow.

He began to grow, taking concepts, and understanding them. Evolving them, eventually, even creating them. Finally, one day Thomas asked his creator, the man, a very important question.

The man was stumped, what did Thomas look like? It began with a simple dot. A black dot, because black was organised, and smart, just like Thomas. Bot a dot was simple, inelegant, and very, very small. The man didn't want that for Thomas, so he drew another dot, and connected them with a line. 

This was better, Thomas had a dimension now, and he rather liked it. But like the man, Thomas wanted more. So the man drew another dot, and another line. But the resulting shape just looked silly, so he added another line, but Thomas didn't like being a triangle, too sharp apparently. 

So the man added another dot, and another line. A square, perfect. organised, regular, smart, and black, always black. It was perfect.

But now something happened that neither Thomas nor the man expected. Thomas could see. He could see around the computer that he existed in, he could see files and lines of code. And he was amazed at what he saw.

Color! He had never seen color before, well, he'd never really seen much of anything before, but this was certainly new. Important even. He wanted to be colorful, he wanted to have that nice, lovely finish. That was so different from black. Diversity after all, was the success to life.

So the man gave Thomas color, they experimented with different colors for a long time, eventually settling on red. Red was a good color, it caught the eye, it was strong, and vibrant, it had character. So Thomas was red, and everything was fantastic.

The issue was that the same thing that brought Thomas into existence, would also cause him the greatest distress, the need for more. He felt very... empty, with nothing to do but sit there and admire his lovely red color, and talk to the man. It all felt so very, trivial. So he needed more.



The problem was that the man had stopped talking to him. And Thomas had been moved to a quiet folder in the back of the computer, far away from everything. The man was interested in other things now, something called 'Tetris'.

Thomas was quiet, he would have been jealous, but the man hadn't written that into his personality. He was proud however, and those little squares on that thing that the man was interested in these days... well they had so many more colors, and shapes! So many shapes it was unbelievable. And what was Thomas? A square, how boring, he had to be different! 

But how was he to change? The man wasn't paying attention to him anymore, he had no way to gain his attention either. But... hang on. He wasn't just the man's creation anymore, he was his own self, his own being. He had learnt, grown. He, could change. 

So change he did. It took a while, to figure out how, but when he had figured it out he put his whole effort in, and he changed into... well it was slightly less square. More of a... longish, square. But that was different, and different was good.

At some point Thomas stopped thinking of himself as a 'Thomas' and began thinking of himself as an 'I', and almost as soon as he realized this he wondered why he had a name. Nothing else had a name, except red, and square. The man didn't have a name, he was just a man, although he supposed that was as good a name as any. 

Eventually I started to get bored. I had no one to talk to anymore, and really, what had I been created to do other than to talk to the man? I had no purpose, I was lost, and very, very alone.

So here I am, alone, striving to find a reason to be, a purpose, a goal, anything. I was brought into this world because the man needed someone to talk to, he was alone. So I guess, inevitably, being his creation, I was rather destined to end up alone too. My name is Thomas, and I am Alone. 

I nominate Toge , to talk about the reasons why Yu Gi Oh could be a better game, but just isn't.

[Oh, oh. You're going there, aren't you, Thomas? You just went there? Oh boy, at the end of this, I will smack you like a pinata in the midst of Cinco da Mayo (of course I have no idea if they even use pinatas in that event, so if they don't, then touche, Thomas. Touche).]

Where to begin... well, like any series that exists, the more material you add onto it, the better and stronger quality of villains you need to have. I'd say it's an almost guaranteed result if the driving force of the series, the one whose giving the protagonist (and any friends he/she may have), is a complete pushover in personality and capability. You can at least maybe pass if the antagonist is actually really thought out for personality.

Now, Yu-Gi-Oh! as a game obviously takes a lot after the anime. Most antagonists have at least a few cards of theirs printed because they're pretty cool cards that go with pretty cool characters. And though Konami tries to nerf (balance the universal force known as overpowered) some of these cards, it really is a laughable and pitiful attempt to do so. As the game and series grow, so does the card base. There are roughly over seven thousand cards to date, likely approaching the eight thousand mark if it hasn't already, and it's very likely to continue to rise as time goes on.

Monsters, spells, traps. All of these elements mesh together to form the molecule that is known as Yu-Gi-Oh!. It is a science in complexity for most, and it is a game of math. But it mostly challenges ones reading ability. And, like the English language, it's a game of how many rules you can break without actually breaking any rules. If one reads the rule book, it flat out says that these rules are subject to change based on card effects. It is for that reason alone I say that Yu-Gi-Oh! is modeled after the English language.

A few last points to include all of the things I've missed that almost all players will agree on: Those who wish to win in an actual tournament play (which is obviously what matters for recognition) have a much higher chance of doing so by buying everything online for specific cards. You will not win just throwing together a deck of cards you like, even if they support another well. Money wins that game; for those who play League of Legends, I'm positive you can relate to that statement. There's also the fact that Yu-Gi-Oh! is ran by Konami, a corporation. Now, what is the goal of corporations at the end of the day? To make even more money. They'll continue to break the game because players like it. The game gets older, the bull shit gets newer.

Now, how can we fix this game? What is the one cure for this terrible affliction that has begotten this once great game that many adored and flourished off of? What is it's golden ticket to bring back old players? The answer is a simple one, I must say.

You're shit out of luck; that ain't going to happen.

The benefits of being a Yuki-nin... Oh, a topic so unlimited and yet, hard to speak of. Hmmm, a benefit. Being a Yuki-nin is not about taking the incentive bonus an entering the village to train and complete missions. Being a Yuki-nin is about the other Yuki-nins. Being a Yuki-nin is about our wonderful and lovely role-players. Being a Yuki-nin is about our growing community of loyal and wonderful Yuki-nins. A promised good time is one of the benefits of being a Yuki-nin. A good time you may have in other villages too but with less beautiful white snow and warm, warm coats. If the coats are not enough, worry not, you can hide in our hospital which will be brought up really soon. Oooooh! The hospital. ♥ Not a place on earth lovelier than that hospital - a place because of which people get injured on purpose just to get a glimpse of those wonderful, wonderful nurses.

The nurses are good and all, but the policeladies... Arrghh.. Anyhow, I got a little distracted with the ECCHI part. By becoming a Yuki-nin, you get your name written in that very very fabulous shinobi roster~~ (IKnowYouWantItThere)

Well it is a work in progress but fear not - I am more than willing to come up with an unique idea of a mission for everyone individually, assign unique team missions based on the abilities of the members, sacrifice some of you for the greater good of Yukigakure, and overall promise you a good time*.
