Ariel Nara had finally found a quiet place to study; her uncle's basement. If only she could see in here... Peering into the darkness, she gave up hope and went back upstairs. Uncle Juno, she asked as she got an apple out of the fridge. Why don't we have a light in the basement? Wouldn't it be easier to find stuff down there?
Why would we put a light in the basement, when all we have to do is a couple of handseals, and we can see in the dark. Saves our money, too, he replied, chopping up the vegetables for dinner.
We have a jutsu for this?! How come nobody told me?! Ariel explaimed indignantely. Could you teach me how to do it, Uncle? Please...
Her uncle put the vegetables in a pot of boiling water, put some more ingrediants, and finally agreed. It'll be a while before the soup finally cooks. We can use that time for training. Let's go!
They headed down to the basement, with her uncle explaining the basics. Alright, what you'll wanna do is three seals, Dragon Horse Dragon, then start to focus Chakra behind your eyes. In the beginning, you probably won't get it, but when you're done, shadowy areas will be as bright as day. Just be warned, don't look at light when you're doing this jutsu. It could seriously affect your vision.
When they finally got there, her uncle said he'd do it first, to show her how. Of course, he forgot that she couldn't see a thing, so it was to no avail. Alright, your turn, Ariel! he said, and she started to the handsigns.
The first part was easy. She knew each of the handsign down from her Academy days, so that part was easy. However, she hadn't gotten much training in the Chakra focusing part, which is what had her beat. The first time, her Chakra still remained pretty spread out, though she was starting to see the outlines of things by the fifth time. And by the tenth time, she knew vaguely where things were.
Alright. You look pretty exhausted. How about you, me, and possibly your Aunt, if she's back, have some soup? Sound good? Ariel nodded, they dispelled the jutsu, and walked upstairs together.
