Pattern Perception
Rank: "C"
Skill: GenJutsu
Effect: Jutsu allows the user to perform Pattern Perceptions.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Patterns, like Figments and Glamours, produce sensory impressions, and everyone within range perceives the same thing. Patterns contain an additional, mind-affecting element, and they can cause real, physiological effects. All patterns are Mind-Affecting Jutsus. While everyone sees a color spray, only some of those within the cone actually deal with its effects. Note: that a particular sense is required for patterns to have an effect. Sightless creatures ignore Color Spray, for instance. If you want multiple subjects to be affected by what they see, and you do not care if everyone perceives it happening, pattern might be a good choice.

The weapon of Yukigakure, a girl who weaved a path of blood through any enemies she may encounter. She did not have this objective in mind today, however, her velvet purple eyes lazily glancing around the display of paintings. What an unusual place for her to find herself in, an art gallery of all places? Why would a human weapon have use for such things, one may ask. The answer was actually simple, in her mind at least.
Genjutsu, the girl had always had a talent for it. Though the act of performing a genjutsu was much more an art form than anything else, precise chakra instructions were needed. Inspiration played a huge part in performing any genjutsu. She observed a particular painting especially well, the painting itself and how it effected anyone who shared the same interest in the art.
It was a complex work of art, this could be said for sure. Various shapes of different sizes and number of sides all joined together, colored in many different shades. It was memorizing, this could be said for sure, and it appeared that way for anyone else whose eyes fell upon the painting too. Many of them stopped in their tracks, completely memorized by the artwork.
Yes, this was one of the key factors to any genjutsu; manifestation. It was the very basics of any genjutsu and yet it was one of the most important factors, the difference between a true illusion and some playground magic trick. This was the way a lot of illusions worked, one brand in particular more commonly known as the 'pattern perception' by ninja trained to battle through deceit.
This was exactly the inspiration Lillivelt needed for her genjutsu, except a pattern genjutsu was much more than this vague feeling of captivity. If one were to infuse their chakra with something that already had the potential to distract, it becomes much more than a mere pretty thing to look at; they physically would not be able to resist the urge to stare at the subject no matter how hard they tried.
The weapon deeply desired this power.
