The rain cascaded down upon Amegakure in sheets. The clouds cast a dark look upon the village despite it being well in the afternoon. Yoko travelled closer to the buildings to avoid the constant rain as much as he could. Personally, I used my new shield (heavy) as a makeshift umbrella by holding it over my head. My ruby locks were already sticking to my skin, flattened by the rain. My bandage-like shirt clung to me as well, fortunately it wasn’t saturated to the point when it was see through though. My black baggy pants were swinging back and forth as I moved through the streets.
The village Academy was standing tall between two buildings not too far from the tower. At first I thought it was another weapon shop until I realized that the building had “Amegakue Ninja Academy” imprinted upon a dark sign in white bold letters. My butt bag remained fastened to my waist, ten kunai, seven fragmentation grenades and nine blood clot pills rattled inside the bag as it bounced against the right side of my buttocks. My traditional sandals squeaked softly as I entered the Academy’s Lobby.
My world map was sitting just inside the bag too, laying upon the kunai and grenades since the pills were at the very bottom of the bag. In the middle of the lobby stood a large counter. The assistant working there was typing furiously on a keyboard when I placed the slip upon the counter. “I’m here to teach the students a few things.” I said softly, shifting my shield and strapping it to my back while Yoko stopped and sat down beside me. “My companion, Yoko will be accompanying me as well. Seeing a wolf in the class might inspire the children.”
My voice was soft despite my mood earlier. The assistant handed me a sheet of paper assigning me to a classroom just down the hall. Immediately I went to the room after bowing to the assistant. Yoko shook himself in the lobby and followed me much to the assistant’s dismay. Rapping on the door twice, the teacher approached the door and opened it. However, upon seeing Yoko her eyes widened. “You are bringing that in here?” She asked. Yoko growled at her and pushed into the classroom.
“Yoko will not harm anyone, he is a well-trained companion and friend of mine. He obeys only me and will not attack anyone.” I explained, stepping into the classroom with a smile upon my face. Fifteen children glanced up from their seated positions at their desks. One boy grinned wide as Yoko stopped beside his desk. “Cool dog, looks like a wolf.” He said, reaching out to touch Yoko. My wolf moved toward him and sniffed his and while the teacher tensed. The wolf nudged his hand with the tip of his nose and walked away.
