The Range Increment of an arrow depends on the 3 parts that make up an Arrow. Every Arrow must have 3 parts: an Arrowhead, a Shaft, and a Fletching. The Range Increment Adjustment with this item is dependent on the 3 parts.
Limit: These types of items may be bought inside any Hunting Shop.
Cost: 1,000 Ryo per Quiver Slot, or 100 Ryo Each
Arrowhead: Broad Head Point (Overview) x 1 Slot
Rank: "C"
Type: Secondary, 50 per Slot, Marksman, Ammunition, Arrowhead
Effect: Arrowhead to cause the most amount of damage and highest amount of piercing ability.
Special: ---
Drawback: Difficult to remove, can rip flesh when coming out.
Description: Picture Broadheads were used for war and are still used for hunting. Medieval broadheads could be made from steel, sometimes with hardened edges. They usually have two to four sharp blades that cause massive bleeding in the victim. Their function is to deliver a wide cutting edge so as to kill as quickly as possible by cleanly cutting major blood vessels, and cause further trauma on removal. They are expensive, damage most targets, and are usually not used for practice. The Range Increment Adjustment with this Arrowhead is equal to the weapon.
Limit: Can be bought at any Hunting Shop.
Cost: 1,650 Ryo per Slot, or 33 Ryo Each
Arrowhead: Mechanical Blade (Overview) x 20 Individual
Rank: "C"
Type: Secondary, 50 per Slot, Marksman, Ammunition, Arrowhead
Effect: A mechanism arrowhead that shoots out cutting edges to grapple into a body
Special: ---
Drawback: Difficult to remove, can rip flesh when coming out.
Description: Picture Some broadhead arrowheads have mechanical blades that are held back against the ferrule in a retracted position until the arrow strikes its target. Once the tip impacts the surface, the cutting edges of the blades expand. Use this type of arrowhead with bows rated 50 lbs. or higher. A strong bow like this is needed to create the extra energy needed to expand the blades upon impact. The Range Increment Adjustment with this Arrowhead is equal to the weapon.
Limit: Can be bought at any Hunting Shop.
Cost: 1,650 Ryo per Slot, or 33 Ryo Each
Arrowhead: Suction (Overview) x 10 Individual
Rank: "C"
Type: Secondary, 50 per Slot, Marksman, Ammunition, Arrowhead
Effect: An arrowhead with a tip covered with micro-adhesors capable of sticking to almost anything.

Drawback: ---
Description: Picture An arrowhead that is flat and shaped of a flat Blunt Arrowhead. The arrowhead tip is covered with micro-adhesors capable of sticking to almost anything. The adhesive has a tensile strength of 200 lbs. The Range Increment Adjustment with this Arrowhead is equal to the weapon.
Limit: These types of items may be bought inside any Hunting Shop.
Cost: 1,650 Ryo per Slot, or 33 Ryo Each
Arrowhead: Watakusi (Overview) x 10 Individual
Rank: "C"
Type: Secondary, 50 per Slot, Marksman, Ammunition, Arrowhead
Effect: A deadly piercing Arrowhead used to stick inside the opponent.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Called the 'flesh terror' by its targets, this arrowhead is adorned with wickedly sloping sides which hook back towards the shaft to form jagged barbs. On a good hit, this arrowhead lodges itself deeply into the target, creating a wound which is difficult to treat which will quickly grow more severe if the arrowhead is not removed. Removing the arrowhead requires a successful First Aid: Healing Skill of 45—if the healer fails the target suffers additional damage from the wound as it continues to dig within the wound. The Range Increment Adjustment with this Arrowhead is -1 meters.
Limit: These types of items may be bought inside any Hunting Shop.
Cost: 1,650 Ryo per Slot, or 33 Ryo Each
Arrowhead: Whistling (Overview) x 10 Individual
Rank: "C"
Type: Secondary, 50 per Slot, Marksman, Ammunition, Arrowhead
Effect: An arrowhead used to signal while in battlefield.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Picture Often used for signaling in the midst of battle, or as warnings by sentries, whistling arrows emit a distinctive, high-pitched sound when fired, by funneling air through channels in the head of the arrow. The noise is easily audible to any within 60 feet of the flight path of the arrow and can be heard up to 500 feet. Whistling Arrows do -1 rank of damage when used in combat, due to their much lighter construction. The Range Increment Adjustment with this Arrowhead is equal to the weapon.
Limit: These types of items may be bought inside any Hunting Shop.
Cost: 1,650 Ryo per Slot, or 33 Ryo Each

Character Depth
Personality:
Hayate Kimura is a highly introverted individual by nurture, not by nature. Because of his past, he hates speaking and will, if the opportunity allows, write down what he wants to say on a slate instead. When nervous, he tends to go still rather than twitchy, freezing and watching carefully what is happening around him. He will cringe involuntarily in a non-combat situation if someone yells at or around him. When under enough stress however, such as in combat, he has learned to push his stress and panic aside for a period of time, reacting with apparent calm and focus. As soon as the situation is over however, he will let out all the panic at once, often falling into a fetal position and staying there for seconds to minutes.
He isn’t the type to go out of his way to help people if they don’t ask, though if assistance is requested he will almost always respond with a terse nod and seemingly reluctant help. In reality, it’s the interactions that made him nervous and seemingly reluctant. He has never really learned how to interact with others properly, due to his lack of interaction with the others in Ninja Academy. If someone appears to be in danger, he will automatically move to assist. If the object of violence is a child, he sometimes goes into a blind rage, striking out wildly at the aggressors. He refuses to harm a child, ever, regardless of circumstances.
He’s clever enough, but because of his tendency to shut down somewhat, he feels the need to plan ahead. Often if he has a distant expression on his face, he is planning out situations in his head. Long pauses in what ‘conversations’ he does have are common, as he tries to pick out what would be the ‘right’ thing to say. He can’t stand being around animals for long periods of time. He’s not easily bothered by rudeness, only volume and being to close or physical. His responses can vary from a fast retreat to a violent outbreak.
He enjoys drawing, though he has no talent or training. It is the act that he enjoys, not the final product. When it comes to food, he always tries the most outlandish looking dishes first, out of an odd sort of repressed curiosity. He doesn’t feel that he would balk at killing someone who needed killing, but he has never killed so he wonders about it sometimes. He prefers places high up, whenever possible, possibly for the open view. He admires high ranked ninjas for their skill and power and, what he sees as, fearlessness. More than anything, he wants to fix what he views as his problems, his after panic, his near inability to speak in normal situations, and his nervousness at personal interactions. He has no idea how, however.
Appearance:
Hayate is small, barely topping five feet in height, and his body reflects that. He is all whipcord and sinew, no fat on him, possibly from his parents tending to eat out and forget or not care enough to get food for him. His face is lean and oval with sharply defined cheekbones and chin. His nose had a slight crook to it from where it had been broken once and improperly set. His ears seemed too large for his face, though you didn’t often see them as he had thick, wavy black hair that he wore down around his face so he could hide behind it. It was rough and messily cut, but always clean and well cared for, if not particular attention paid to it.
His eyes peered out from between is bangs, a startling vibrant green at odds with his dark hair. His skin was naturally pale, but usually tanned from his time spent outdoors, which is almost all of it. He has no notable facial hair as of yet, something he is grateful for every day. Despite his small stature, his arms and shoulders are notably defined, from drawing a bow every day. His skin is tough and scraped looking at his wrists, from bowstrings scraping along it.
His clothing was very average for a ninja, with plenty of pockets for storage. The colors of all of his clothing stayed different shades of tan or brown however. He felt that it helped him be more unnoticeable, able to blend in with the background and not get attention. The fabric was cheap, as at this time it’s all he can afford and doesn’t quite fit him right, though close enough to not impact his fighting. He wears his quiver on one hip, with arrows of different colored fletching peeking out.
Background:
To understand Hayate Kimura, you first must understand his parents. Hayate was born to Yasu Suzuki and Ryuu Kimura. Kimura and Suzuki were small ninja families of Iwagukure, hardly even large enough to be called a ‘clan’. However, they were both old families, and from time out of mind have been at each other’s throat. Finally, due to some unfortunate situations, a village authority felt the need to intervene. Speaking to both families, after many months they were convinced to have an arranged marriage between two family members to settle at last the enmity. Yasu and Ryuu were chosen. And chosen is the only word for it. Neither of them had a choice in the matter.
So, they were bundled together and forced out of both clans in a way, made to get their own place separate from both family compounds. To say it was an unhappy marriage would be an understatement, though it had the desired effect. Mostly because that same official that started the idea of marriage explained that it would be... unfortunate if their families found out that they were not a happy couple. Yasu and Ryuu hated each other ferociously… but they kept that to themselves. And soon, due to pressure from both sides, there was a child. Hayate Kimura.
The first memory Hayate Kimura has is of his mother attempting to drown him in his bath water. He was three years old. If not for the trauma of it, he would likely not remember it at all. She was bathing him, alone for once. His father had gotten a mission for the first time in a long while. Everything seemed normal. But then, his mother’s already haggard face hardened as she looked into his emerald green eyes, the same exact shade as his fathers. And she held his head under the water. He would have died, if not for his father’s early return. Ryuu backhanded Yasu across the room and proceeded to beat her, not even stopping to check on his son, who had managed to come up spluttering from the water. It only got worse from that point.
Even though Hayate knew his mother hated him, he could not help but try and defend her from Ryuu’s drunken rages as he got older. He would attempt to speak up, over his father’s screaming, only to be turned on.
“You talking back to me, boy!” His father would yell, turning as vicious on him as he had been to his mother, “If I want to hear you talk, I’ll ask you!”
Hayate, barely six years old, didn’t speak out of turn again. He hardly spoke. Still. When they were fighting, he would put himself between them, silently, and take the beating that would come of it. Yasu didn’t appreciate his interference any more than his father did.
“He’s as arrogant as his worthless father!” She’d shrill at Ryuu, only once the door was locked and barred so the furious bull of a man couldn’t get at her, “At least he doesn’t only fight women! How long has it been sense you’ve gotten a real mission now?”
She learned that the door may have been blocked, but the walls were not all that thick.
This was Hayat’s life. So, as soon as he could, he went to the Ninja academy. One of the few things his father was proud of him for… but not for long. Hayate would do things to get himself in trouble, making it so he would be kept after instruction. He would try and delay there as long as possible, anything to stay out of the house. This included not passing the exam, even when he could. This got him more abuse, from other students and his parents, but he couldn’t bring himself to pass and lose a place where at least the cruelty was only words, not blows. In time, he grew used to insults and no longer took much note of them. Even then, he didn’t like to speak, only answering direct questions from the teacher. It was here that he picked up the habit of writing what he wanted to say on a small slate with chalk. He was mocked incessantly for it, but he didn’t care. It didn’t make him panic like speaking did.
Still, this was not enough time away from home, not nearly enough. He had learned by now that trying to get involved in the fights was nothing but pain, emotional and physical. Still, somehow he couldn’t resist when he was there. He hated that part of himself more than a little. So he began gathering what money he could, typically picked up from little jobs either side of the family would send him on. Eventually, he went to the weapons shop. He looked over the different objects, having learned about them in class, but not being particularly fond of any of them. Until he reached the bows. Something about them just called out to him. He didn’t know it, but it was the distance. The safety. Able to do what he needed to do, able to be strong, but at a safe distance. He purchased once, and as many arrows as he could afford. And his after school activities began. Every day, practicing his archery again and again. It didn’t come naturally to him. He wasn’t very good at it. But he didn’t give up. Hour after hour, day after day, until he grew proficient. He had no one to teach him, and he wouldn’t have asked if he did, so his style was unusual and he did things that most archers wouldn’t think of.
It wasn’t until he found out that he could move into his own place as a Genin that he finally graduated from the academy. He was fourteen years old. He did as many missions as he could, as fast as he could, until he was able to afford to rent a tiny place of his own. He didn’t care. One day, he just didn’t go home. Perhaps it said something about his parents that they didn’t go looking for him.
