Cross the Wavering Bay <ATI Event Travel>

Tarah flew through the sky, being roughly three thousand or so meters above ground. In her hands, she held a wide crystal box, where her world map and gyrocompass were located inside. She made the box to keep the two items still, so that the high winds from flying at such a height wouldn't blow them away. Since she was focusing so much on the map, she avoided flying any higher. Larger birds flew in their swarms and formations above. Tarah didn't mind risking the extremely unlikely poop bombings, since running headfirst into a large bird was definitely worse.

Below Tarah, there was soon the blue of the ocean. She crossed into the Fire Country's southern bay, then began to fly toward the west to reach the Land of Wind.

Strapped to Tarah's hip, as usual, was the perfected longsword that contained a fire enhancement. A disrupted was tucked into the left stomach pocket of her vest.

Once the view of the endless sands was in sight, Tarah made a turn for the north. She climbed another thousand meters upward, so that she could begin a glide and have a few moments without any additional flapping.

The map was checked for passing landmarks as she went. Mountains, cities, and monuments were the primary reference points. Tarah adjusted her glide every few minutes as the winds messed with her course.

As Tarah drew closer to her destination, she let her soul flare up and charge her body with defensive fortifications. She obtained the absence of fear, a walk that refused to touch the ground, resistance to great heat and cold, and the ability to fly without the need for her wings.

When Tarah was finished, she landed upon the sands and formed a crystal lair underground to rest for the night. When morning rolled around, she moved herself across the border to the Land of Bears.
