Hey everyone! Gift Giver here with some new contests, this time for a different time of the year than I'm normally found at. I decided to do something for Halloween this year, but realized that not everyone cares about or celebrates Halloween. So I decided to run contests that could be both Halloween or Autumn themed, depending on what people cared for. There are three contests I'm running at this time, each with their own submission threads. Costume, Writing, and Art!
The first is a classic contest. The Costume Contest! The Costume contest is split into it's own three parts. The first part is the site costume contest. Simply change up your account page to match a different character. For example... You could change your avatar and signature to Batman, and then change your display name to Batman and be that for Halloween on site. The second part is a written costume contest. Come up with a costume that your character can be in and write it out in as much or as little detail as you'd like. The third is a Real life costume contest. Keep in mind that these costumes don't need to be Halloween costumes. You can use costumes for any purpose here, but we want to see you in costume.
The second contest is purely a writing contest. Come up with a Halloween story, poem, song, or any other type of writing that you want to do regarding Halloween. And, as stated at the beginning, if you don't want to do it for Halloween, do it for Autumn instead. Whichever you prefer is up to you. We just want to see what you can do with your writing skills.
The third contest is an artistic contest. The original idea was to have everyone design their own Jack-o-lantern. But, as stated, not everyone cares about Halloween. So I'm asking for any and all artwork related to either Halloween or Autumn in general. You're welcome to design your own Jack-o-lantern, but you don't have to. I just want to see what you can come up with.
As stated, each one comes with their own submission thread, and all of them are linked below. They also all have the same deadline with one exception. All submissions to the threads end on October 31st. Once it crosses over to November, no more submissions may be made (Unless I haven't ended the submission phase. Once I end it, then it's over). The one exception is the Real Life costume contest. That one continues until 11:59 pm on November 7th, to give those Halloween costumers a chance to get their pictures uploaded and submitted. Voting will go for exactly one week from when submissions end (Again, at least until I end the voting phase. If I haven't posted yet, the voting hasn't ended).
Rules and such for each contest will be posted in their own submission threads. You have just over 3 weeks to submit your entries, and just over 4 weeks to submit for the Real Life Costume Contest. Please keep all OOC comments and the like to this thread. Any OOC comments made in the Submission threads will be moved over to this thread. So... Let's start celebrating this time of the year, shall we?
