The almost deafening yet constant sound of water pouring from the mouth of a cliff into the pool of water at the bottom. Surrounding the body of water is a grassy patch of land before it stretches out into the forests surrounding the area where Takigakure can be seen just from the outskirts of the trees. Standing in the midst of water is two humanoids, one middle aged man and one boy. The man happens to be the boy's mentor on teaching the kid Goutetsu, whose name happens to be Kenshi. The boy on the other hand is named Varis, and today Kenshi decided to step outside of the dojo to change the scenery. Kenshi also wanted to train Varis a useful technique.
Originally, Kenshi was having Varis practice the technique first. But as Varis had leapt forward towards nothing in general while performing a spinning high kick that winds up doing a 450 degree spin while his momentum carried him a good five feet before he lands on the water and skids about a foot or two before coming to a stop. Varis lets out a sigh before turning his attention on Kenshi's direction with the same calm and almost expressionless look on his face. "Sensei, don't you think that this kind of technique would be better against a real opponent? I know that you told me to imagine an opponent before me, but there's only so much imagination can do." Kenshi didn't respond right away as he stroked his scruffy beard while pondering on it. While yes Varis had a point that its easier to learn their mistakes by fighting an opponent, but the only problem is that Kenshi doesn't really know anyone around here that's willing to spar with his student. He could do it himself, but Kenshi was the mentor and the way Kenshi is he is too advanced both in power and experience for Varis to learn anything from him just yet.
"You still have that those gauntlets and greaves on you don't you?" Kenshi asked, and Varis doesn't waste a second to respond with a nod in agreement. "Hm... Well go get them on right quick and come back here." Though Kenshi hasn't explained what he had planned at first as usual, Varis nods his head as he walks on the water towards the side of the water. Where laying there on the grass is actually two small bags; which Varis goes to open one of the bags that was somewhat belonging to him though it was owned by Kenshi. Varis just brought it because Kenshi told him to. Inside of the bag is actually a set of gauntlets and greaves. It only took a few minutes for him to put them on his hands and feet before he comes back over to Kenshi looking almost like a young fighter of sorts.
"Now then, try performing the same technique with those weapons on you. It shouldn't be much of a difference than when you didn't wore them, but the weight however can change some things around. Though your performance was a bit sloppy to begin with so you still have some work to do." Kenshi spoke to Varis even though he honestly wished that there was someone around here that could spar with Varis since the kid seems to have a knack on picking up techniques just by watching. But since at the moment there wasn't any around, Varis would just have to deal with this kind of training for now. Varis of course sighs before he goes to leap forward towards the middle area of the water where he performs a spinning high kick in the air with both legs. However Kenshi's point was right on as the weight took in effect that made his legs dip down a little and gave Varis little time to land. Though it wasn't much for landing since he landed on one foot yet falls into the water. So Varis had to climb back up to the water surface to where he is standing on the water again only this time he was definitely drenched in water. Kenshi of course was laughing at Varis's failure to execute the technique before his mentor cleared his throat. "Alright, try that again and this time take your equipment's weight into consideration." Varis wipes his brow with his hand to get the water away from his eyes. Then he goes to leap forward once again to perform a spinning kick with both legs. Only this time he was more aware of the weight his equipment was giving him, and thus he was able to land on his feet somewhat while stumbling a bit before Kenshi barked at him in a commanding tone. "Sloppy! Try that again before I throw you in the waterfall to wake your sorry rear up!"
