The crafting system

I'd like to address the crafting system here. I find that it's driving people away from taking up the craft. Generally I actually find it rather methodical and pleasing but that's only in reference to crafting swords and the like. For the larger components I find that it pushes people away from taking up the craft by just demanding too much from RPers. When it comes to constructing components I find that it's damn near impossible. In my opinion, crafting should be a more affordable means in which you can obtain items. Instead of paying 4000 for a regular sword, you can craft a sword for two thousand and make it better than the one you were going to buy. It's a system that rewards you for taking the time to go through threads and RP yourself actually making the item from scratch yourself yet when it comes to components the actual building is so much harder than it needs to be. You may think, hey component X is only 10,000 ryo, what are you complaining about? Seem's easy right? Wrong!
While yes individual components are cheap etc. you construct buildings and the individual components stack up to make the task impossible. The idea is firmly planted in the roots of Artisan, just look at how we display the components in the components thread, we have them mapped together in clusters with the individual overviews below. This proves the point that components are meant to be built in this fashion, these selected clusters being an example.
My suggestion is to make component building easier so that more people will take up the artisan trait and start creating these clusters because at the moment it's just so difficult.
Look here:
Looks great huh? Wouldn't it be awesome to build your own army base? Unfortunately it's just ridiculous to try. You could line up five people and it'd take a year of daily posting to have the thing done. You'd have to go and buy the thing rather than make it, but where's the fun? People take up artisan so they can RP building things. They can't do that right now. Now I know what you'll say, Army bases are for village's anyway, and you're right but let's say I don't want an army base. I just want a residential house for myself. Let's look at the cluster again:
Again I know what you'll say, it's a building to hold thirty people, but hey it's my house, I can make it as big as I want. Maybe I'm building it for me and my family, maybe I have a big family, maybe me and my family want to entertain guests. At any rate it's my house I can make it as big as I want. Still that cost is 60,000 points to craft up. That's something like 300 posts maybe. It gets even worse if I want a fancy house, and hey who wouldn't want a fancy house, especially one they built themselves?
I'm not even gonna go into luxury, but right now that cost has sky rocketed 664,000 ryo meaning it would have 347,000 construction points to whittle down. That's crazy.
I'm not saying we need to change up weapon smithing or anything but could we make the construction of component clusters easier, perhaps even only in certain circumstances like missions? I'm sure this would lead more people to taking up artisan and putting the hard work of the creators to use. Cost would remain the same, that's fine, I just suggest making building easier.
I said the same thing a lot I'm sorry, just trying to get the message across.

Look here:
Army Base: This allows you to quarter one hundred infantry. Up to forty can train in the drill yard at once, and up to sixty can take meals simultaneously in the mess hall. Note that the cost listed below does not include the soldiers’ equipment.
Components: Barracks (10), combat training area (5), guard post (2), basic armory (4), dining hall (2), basic kitchen (4), servants’ quarters; Size: 29 stronghold spaces; Cost: 694,000 Ryo.

Residential, Basic: This cluster provides for all the needs of thirty people in comfort, if not luxury. This cluster assumes that residents sleep two to a bedroom, and that the two kitchen servants share a bedroom of their own.
Components: Basic bedroom (8), basic kitchen (2), basic dining hall, basic bath; Size: 11.5 stronghold spaces; Cost: 120,000 Ryo.

Residential, Fancy: As above, but the bedrooms, dining hall, and bath have nice art, architectural details, and high-quality furnishings. This cluster holds thirty people comfortably; half get their own bedrooms and half sleep two to a room.
Components: Components: Fancy bedrooms (10), fancy kitchen, fancy dining hall, fancy bath, servants’ quarters; Size: 15 stronghold spaces; Cost: 664,000 Ryo.
