Nestled high off the ground in a lush redwood, Misu wrestled with the temptation to drift off into the dream world. Ahhhh He yawned and stretched out his arms and legs causing him to nearly fall off the branch. In a split second the world flipped upside down; All the blood rushed into his head almost instantly as he held on for dear life with his calves. Panic shifted into laughter once he realized he was alright. Filled with life and no longer having any desire to lounge around Misu leaped from the branch.
The landing was a little rough, but his fathers words echoed in the back off his mind “walk it off son,” and that’s exactly what he did. Misu’s mind was still a little distorted from just waking up, and he stared around he’s surroundings with a blank face; A river ran through the middle of a dense forest and despite being in the middle of winter, all of the trees were in full bloom presenting a sea of lime green all around him. A roaring waterfall could be heard some where nearby barely drowning out the chirps coming from above him.
“I’m lost…” Misu stated plainly as he continued to scan the area with a blank expression. He remembered he came all the way out here on a mission to train, but he had left all the scrolls back at home. He sighed just thinking of his clumsy mistake, “Zoku, think you can find the way back home?” He questioned the mongoose sitting to the left of him. Zoku flashed back a glance as if saying of course then darted off.
Caught off guard by the sudden decision to go, Misu found himself chasing after his long time loyal friend. With a smile he jumped and ducked around the tree branches and roots as he rushed through the jungle like a cheetah chasing it’s pray. He continued to run until eventually the scenery changed from nothing but trees to nothing but buildings. Slightly impressed with Zoku, Misu found himself right back in front of the academy. Maybe someone around here could aid him in some training.
