Character Depth
Personality:
She has picked up a couple of character traits from her adoptive father, to be sure. She believes in honor, and desperately wishes to prove herself in battle. However, because she is so young, and deemed "not ready" she has had very little opportunity to do so. This can lead to instances where she will lash out, and randomly challenge those who she deems worthy (most of, if not all of the time, these challenges are directed at her father). These outburst, my also stem from her secrete origin, and the thirst for battle, is deeply engraved down into her very being.
While she does indeed wish to participate in glorious battle, she has no real desire to kill. She simply wants to know if the person in front of her is worthy. It is a deep sensation, that she feels down into her very soul, and she can't seem to shake the feeling. However, this could just be the musing of a child's imagination. She does not enjoy the site of wrongful death, but is somewhat delighted at the sight of someone getting exactly what they deserve. She doesn't enjoy the sight of death, but she approaches the death differently than most. Certainly it is different for someone of her tender age.
She does not see death as the end for some. Those she see as worthy warriors, she feel that they are only beginning their journey. What lay ahead, is even more fraught with danger, and glorious battle. She feels that only the unworthy should fear death, and that those who are true warriors, should embrace it. She would not ask of them to seek out death needlessly. Only a fool would seek death, without enjoying the good their current life has to offer. However, when their is a daunting task sent before you. When their is an impossible battle to be fought. When you are called to slay dragons and monsters. She believe the worthy... the truly worthy would answer the call.
She is wise, far beyond her years, and most of the things that come out of her mouth, sound as if they belong to someone, many times her senior. Some would say that, she's been here before, and perhaps they are right. Gunrr, certainly believes that to be the case. She doesn't relate much to children her own age, so she likes to spend most of her time with the adults. The few friends she does have, she treats them with great respect, and humility. She asks nothing of them, but is willing to give freely, at their request. She wants nothing in this world, but to make those around her smile, and interact with the worthy warriors.
Unlike her father, she does not adhere completely to the letter of the law. She finds that some times the law hinders more than helps, where important matters are concerned. If at all possible, she will skirt around the law, if it will wield the greater result, for all parties involved. She is highly skilled and intelligent, making most of her age mates look rather foolish by comparison. However, she does not invite should comparison. She believes that we all are put upon the this earth for a reason. Not everyone is born to e a warrior, and experience glorious battle. She can fill that she was, and she itches to prove herself worthy to her father.
While she is very mature, and well spoken. There are times when she slips back into the role of a proper child. When engaging with her father, when she is not getting her way, and a tantrum ensues. When fighting with her brother, or any other child for that matter( but especially her brother). And when her favorite stuff bunny goes missing (all hell will break loose).
Appearance:
It is the most beautiful and sometimes the most terrifying thing about this child. It sounds as if it is carried by the wind, that it is behind some sort of cosmic veil. Those that hear her instantly believe that they are talking to an angel. Whether they really be the case or not, is really up for the individual to decide. But there can be no doubt about it's sound. When she is in a good mood, it is perhaps on of the most beautiful things anyone would every hear. When she sings, you wish you could listen to her forever. However, when her mood turns fool... It is like the burning hammers of a thousand suns, have descended.
You will curse your mothers for having giving birth to you in this time of turmoil and terror!! It is like all the horrors of hell have gathered to into one mighty trumpet!!!!! Moving on. Like most children her head looks to be to bi. She has a heart shapes head, that sits upon her little neck. She has grown into her body as puberty has hit her. She she stand at 5'4 with an athletic build, that hides the true monstrous strength of her body. Her once flat chest have developed a respectable bust, especially considering her age. Puberty has hit her rather hard, and she has grown into her body rather quickly, with no signs of her growth stopping anytime soon. Thankfully by the grace of the All-father her skin has stay clear of non-fight related blemishes.
Her body is always covered with little bruises of scraps, as she can never seem to keep herself from playing or training a little too rough. Her casual attire consists of a tan jacket that bares her lower stomach, with golden brown piping and short, puffy sleeves with black cuffs that feature two gold buttons. Underneath this, she wears a low cut yellow crop top. She also wears a brown belt covered by a pleated brown piece of material reaching from hip to hip around the back of her waist, as well as a pair of black mini-shorts. She wears a pair of brown, knee-high boots and orange over-the-knee socks, with the right sock pushed down just below the knee. A lavender bandana is tied around her left knee. An orange infinity scarf and black finger less gloves complete her outfit.
When going on a mission, or when she knows she's heading into battle, she has customized the mitral armor that she once received to fit her growing body. Even for someone from the north, she has much of her skin showing even when moving in the frigid cold. Her armor has a wild look, almost barbaric if not for the intricate designs, and high quality of the metal. She wears a feathered head dress, fit for a viking warrior, and a skin cape from some unknown prey. She is seldom seen in casual wear as she is always prepared for battle.
Background:
Gunnr was born in a small village in Yuki no Kuni. Actually she was found there, as a baby, by the people off the village. When she was found, she was crying, and her hair and eyes glowed as she did. Not only that, but the sounds coming from her mouth, didn't seem to belong to anything that would be from the realm of existence. At first they though the babe to be some manner of demon, and wished to end the miserable abomination life. However, the villages artifact, the sword they had had in their village for many decades, start to respond to thee child's crying. The Angurvadal, was brought closer to her, and the closer the sword was brought to her, the more it reacted to her presences, and the quieter the child's cries became.
There had been a legend surrounding that sword for many years. That it would only come back to life, when the maidens of Odin would descend again. The people of the village began to believe that this babe, was no demon. No she was the complete opposite, she was a Valkyrie. A being that had not blesses the earth in centuries. They believed the Valkyries felt because worthy warriors no longer dwelt ago the living. However, the crop of warriors that now roam the earth, that it was stirred Odin to send his maidens in search for such warriors yet again. They watched over the child, for a time, and named her Gunnr, believing her to be the reincarnation of said Valkyrie.
They believe such, because it was the only name they called that she smiled at the sound. As they watched her, they noticed that her voice, eyes and hair were the only spectacular thing about this child. Even as an infant, the child would have moments where, lightning would radiate from her, shocking the person holding her. Are water would inexplicably wall indoors are her general location. At one point a great wind blew through the village and swirled around the babe. These events did nothing but validate their thoughts about who or what the child was. They also knew that they were not equipped to watch over her, or raise to be the warrior that she should be. Luckily for them, their prays would be answered.
During a time of enter turmoil, soon time after the death of his wife Onyx. The former Yukikage, Ace Debutler Onta, stumbled upon this village. He was lost, spiritually, after certain events in his life had taken place. He was in search of something, purpose. He had lost his way, and he needed to find purpose in this advancing age of men. It would seem that fate, would have lead him to the perfect place. The villagers all knew who this man was, and thought that the All father himself must had sent him to guide the young Valkyrie to glory. Many of the villagers believed that if the Valkyrie were still roaming the earth, that Ace, would be one of their charges. So to them this was destiny.
The moment that Ace held the babe in his arms, she grabbed his hair with a smile on her infant face. Her eyes, and hair began to glow, and she started to giggle. This was the first time the villagers had every heard the baby so happy. Her little giggle was the most beautiful thing any of them had ever heard. If Ace had any doubts about the the villagers requests they were washed away, when he heard the babes laughter. He stayed with the villagers for a time, before her would eventually return to Yukigakure with the baby Valkyrie in hand. She grew up in the Onta household, and was raised as Ace's adopted daughter. Ace wasn't not shy about telling her about her believed heritage. However, he also taught her humility, and pleasures of hard work.
Ace is also very protective of the little warrior. Even though her skills, can put most children her age and even some adults to shame. Even though she graduated from the academy at the ripe age of 7. Her Father refuses to let her go on any missions he deems too dangerous. At least for the moment. Although she can't say that she can blame him. There is still much that she needs to learn, before she can truly say she is ready to go down the path of a true warrior. There are skills she wishes to hone, so many fighting styles she wishes to try. So she reluctantly has heeded her father's advice, and will focus on her studies and honing her skills, before she tries to take on the world. She rushed through her basic ninja education, so now it's time to take things a little slow. HA, but really... what constitutes slow for a Valkyrie?

They gain an ability called Fated Sight. 1 time per day per Class Level, in a 10 meter Cone-shaped emanation for 50 minutes per Class Level the user can determine the condition of creatures near death within the Jutsu's range. User instantly knows whether each creature within the area is dead, fragile (alive and wounded), fighting off death, healthy, undead, or neither alive nor dead. Once per day as a "C" Rank weaving movement, a user can draw the soul from a recently deceased body and safeguard it indefinitely. This ability can only be used on 1 deceased creature willing to have its soul carried by the user, and can only be used within a number of rounds after the creature is slain equal to the user's Class Points. The user must have Class Points equal to or greater than the deceased creature's. A user may carry one soul at a time. The user may release a soul they carry as a full-round movement.
