~Emi~
Stepping onto the scene with the spotlight shining in her direction, she was calmly finding her position onto the stage. Gameshows certainly wasn't her forté, but she'd accept this nonetheless. The people had requested getting to know the village leader a little better, and for her village, she would always oblige.
"To be completely fair, I don't think I've changed who I am, what I stand for, or what I want to be doing. It's just that with the position, everyone seems to notice."
Smiling politely, she reached out to grasp her glass of water, taking a couple of sips to clear her throat so that she could continue to be heard clearly.
"..Well, to me, the essence of why I became a shinobi was to protect people in the first place. Having lives on my shoulders is nothing new. When it comes to leading a village, you are correct that I am inexperienced. I know where I want to take the village, and I have excellent council on how to get there. I won't be complacent."
Taking yet another sip of her water, the other was clearly intrigued by her answers.
"The stress is rather cumbersome, but I have a lovely family waiting for me at home every day, and a loving husbond that lightens my load. Without them I'd surely be run aground."
Looking out to the crowd, she continued.
"..Which is what I spend most of my spare time on, of course. My family gets all the attention I can spare."
Taking a short break to sort her hair as the interviewer continued, this was rather personal overall, but quite neat none-the-less. To let everyone know of ones life.
"My biggest achievement?.. Probably achieving a healthy relationsship with both Sunagakure and Konohagakure. Either that or drawing cat-whiskers on Ryosuke's face when he was attending an official meeting. You should've seen his face."
Laughing warmly, she had quite a good sense of humor aswell, and knew exactly when to let everyone know.
"...Yes, I lived in Yukigakure as an exchange student for a few years. It certainly affects my work, and I have to be careful not to let it jeopardise my judgement. In some instances, the insight into what worked and didn't work in other villages is helpful. Other times I have to remember that it is two different villages."
The Lady Amekage already knew where the questions were headed. It was something a lot of villagers had thought about, and something that they deserved an answer to.
"..Yukigakure seemed to be a village built upon honor and dignity. They treated me like one of their own, initially. At the change of two Kage though - an Amekage and a Yukikage both - I was demanded to return to Amegakure. The Yukikage would allow no such thing however, and he imprisoned me for half a year in their frozen dungeons.
Half a year in hell.
I assume they thought I had broken, as they decided to send me on a mission to assassinate the Hokage, while being in posession of my Amegakure headband. I can only assume they meant to instigate war between the two nations...
I betrayed Yukigakure, and in my betrayal, I destroyed all the files I could, hopefully erasing all data they had on or from me. In the turmoil, the Yukikage's Wife, Onyx, paid the ultimate price. That is why I remain a wanted woman by their nation to this day."
Leaning back into the armchair, she could see the timer would only allow for one final question. A question that, fortunately, wasn't as personal as the rest.
"...It wouldn't be quite as big of a surprise if I told everyone who to watch out for. Every Shinobi in Amegakure carry the pride of our nation, and any participant within the Chuunin Exams will have earned their right to be there."
❥ cannibble
1. As Amekage what do you feel is the most bothersome duty you deal with?
Probably complaints about the local restaurant. I mean, I am the village leader, but where people dine couldn't interest me less.
2. You ever just fuck someone up for fun? Like I got the vibe that you were the serious type and didn't do anything without reason so I thought I'd ask y'know?
I draw whiskers on people, but needless violence? No thank you.
3. So what's your secret to getting kage at such a young age anyway? I'd kill for power over the people like that.
I stood up to an attempt at corrupting the powercore of the village. From there, people decided to follow me.
4. So what's your number?
My number is 983125-go-fuck-yourself.
5. Do my muscles look good to you?
I think you could eat more protein in your diet.
6. What are the titty bars like in rain anyway?
Exactly like you'd expect.
7. What cheers you up on a dull evening?
The dull evening cheers me up. Means nothing in the village is on fire.
8. What flowers you like?
I'm a fan of dandelions. Though many consider them weed, they're a species of flower that blooms through any adversity.
9. How about chocolates what kinda chocolates you into?
Definitely mint. They leave me a feeling of having fresh and clear breath.
10. You look pretty...I look pretty...why don't we go home and stare at each other?
How about I give you an autograph that you can frame and stare at instead?
