Meeting the council [closed].

"Have you sent them the message my lady?" inquired the bear masked shinobi at her side. "Yes. They should be here quite soon" replied the female as she put on her Raikage robe.
This would be her first official meeting with the council after her promotion. Marii felt quite nervous - this was a very important day that would affect the whole village.

All the council members had a body guard that the young woman had selected. Thanks to her helpers, she knew which ones that could do a good job.
"Relax my lady. We've got this" assured the man at her right side. "Thanks - that's reassuring" told the Raikage as she adjusted her hat.

She had told her two body guards to meet her at the top of the stairs next to the painting of the seven swordsmen. 'We're five minutes early. But I'm sure they'll be here once the security has given them the all-clear' thought the female.
She glanced at her reflection. The brunette had tied up her hair in a knot while her makeup was a bit fancier than usual.

Underneath her Raikage robe was an amethyst purple kimono with a green obi. It had been a gift from one of the previous Raikages. On her feet were a pair of simple black pumps that had solid two inch heels.
'I can't wait to finish this meeting. Once everything has been done, I can have a bit more wiggle room' thought the young woman.

By Naota Okuda arrived at the building, the young red-haired samurai was wearing his normal attire that consisted of his white hakama bottoms, white inner kimono, navy blue outer kimono and the white obi belt that made up the vast majority of his outfit. On his feet he wore navy blue toe socks with the brown straw sandals, on his left hip were his Katana and Wakizashi. The man approached the guards stationed outside of the building and allowed them to inspect him, his weapons, his clothes, everything. By the time they were done he had to re-tie the small blue string that he used to keep his hair in a high ponytail. Okuda then walked up to the painting that he was instructed to meet the Raikage at when he arrived there Okuda himself found himself staring slightly at how she had made herself up, a bit stunned though it barely showed on his face. Okuda then slowly walked up to her and gave her the appropriate bow and said “I am here Milady, what can I do for you?” It seemed that he had simply been summoned here and not instructed as to what he was doing…

The female turned her head when she heard the sound of steps. It appeared to be one of the people she was waiting for. He was dressed in his normal samurai outfit, but they were clean.
'Note to self. Buy a new outfit for Okuda-kun when we're finished with this' thought Marii.

'Is it just me or is he staring a bit on me?' noticed the young woman. She then remembered the outfit she was in. It was the first time Okuda had seen her in a kimono plus her Raikage robes.
"I am here Milady, what can I do for you?" inquired the young man. "Hello Okuda-kun" greeted the Raikage in a semi-polite voice.

"I'm glad you could come at such short notice. One my body guards had to go to hospital after his mission" informed the female. Which was partially true - one of the bear ANBU's was currently in hospital due to an allergic reaction. But the false part? She had not thought of hiring that shinobi for this mission.

"We're still one man short though. But it's plenty of time left" told the brunette. It was twenty minutes left until the meeting would start.
The offcials would be here soon as well...she felt her anger rising slightly just thinking about them. 'Keep it cool Marii - you're the Raikage after all' remembered the young woman.

By Naota Okuda nodded his head softly as she spoke, saying that the guard she had planned to ask to guard her was in the hospital after an earlier mission. Okuda gathered from that statement that she planned to have him be her bodyguard during the mission, though he still was not quite sure as to what the plan was he knew he would just have to try to follow Marii’s lead as best he could. After all, he was a shinobi and he knew that as a Shinobi he would not always know what was going on, though lately he had been having a desire to move up in rank from Chūnin to something a bit fancier, to the rank of Jounin. It was something the young Samurai was planning to bring up to Marii sometime in the near future, but for now, he had a job to do. ((OOC: Sorry for the shortness, didn't have much to say lol))

The female glanced at her wristwatch, realizing how fast time had passed. "We better get in now Okuda-kun. The meeting will start in just five minutes" told Marii.
She entered the meeting room after she had adjusted her hat a little. The young woman did not want to look like a mess in front of the council.

"My lady. I'm glad to see you" told the purple haired owl ANBU that opened the door. "I'm glad to see you as well" replied the Raikage with a smile at her face.
She tried to keep a positive look at her face when she took her seat. There were six people sitting around the table.

She looked around in the room to get a feeling of how the plan was going to work. There were no windows since they were in the center of the building. However, there was a ventilation system near the fancy lamp in the middle of the room.
The wall opposite to her was in dark wood while the wall behind her was made of white stone. At her right side was a paper screen wall of some sort that gave the room a traditional feeling.

'Good. Everyone is here' noticed the brunette after one of the younger members enter the room. All of the people sitting around the room stood up before they gave each other a polite bow.
'This is the last time I'm going to do this' thought the young woman as she sat down. She hoped that Katsugan would get here in time...the meeting was about to begin.

By Naota Okuda would follow behind the Raikage, not uttering a word at this point. As far as he could tell, he was in fact her bodyguard and would act as such. He might not have had an imposing figure that was full of muscles or just scary to look at but those who knew of him knew that his skill with the blade was as unmatched as it comes with in the village. Okuda would follow Marii until she got to her seat and he took his position behind her, just off to her right side. His left arm would rest on the sheathe of his Katana with his arms more or less crossed but held in such a way that he could still easily reach his blade if need be. ((OOC: Sorry for the shortness))

"Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. We're here to discuss what has happened in Kumogakure no Sato the last six months" started the gangly man that sat straight across the female. He then opened up the report that laid in front of him.
"As far as population goes, it has marginally increased with 0,1% since last year. This is mostly due to births" continued the council member.

'Stop staring at me damnit!' thought her inner when she noticed some of the people glancing at her. It was no secret that people wondered when the female was going to have her first child. Her parents were not in a rush and the same went for her.
"Next on our list is the death rates. No changes there really since all of the deaths were caused by death or work-related accidents" told the man.

Marii could not help but to do a quick smile. At least the council could not blame her for sending shinobis on kamikaze missions. "Hey, we don't have any coffee here!" told the younger man who had come in just minutes earlier.
"Okuda-kun, could you please get some coffee for us? I'll write down where you can find it" told the young woman.

She quickly wrote down the directions on a note before she handed it to the man. This was step one of their plan; she needed to get the male out of the room. Her main purpose was to rule him out as a suspect.
Reason number two was to make sure he was not caught in her jutsu. Once he was out of the room, she would return her attention to the council member.

By Naota Okuda would listen as the leaders of the village had their opening conversations, they were talking about the birth and death rate of the village, things that really didn’t matter to him as an Assassin would likely never have a child, and if he was in the death rate number well…he wouldn’t care anyways. It was around then that one of the Council Members made a comment about not having coffee and Marii suggested that Okuda himself go to get it for the group. Whilst he knew this was part of the plan he still wasn’t comfortable leaving Marii in a room, by herself, with people he knew wanted her dead. Nevertheless, he gave a slight bow to her and took the piece of paper with the address on it. He would then make a respectful bow to those in the room and leave the room and went to the location she had wrote down to make it seem all the more real that he was going to get coffee for those in the meeting, and in fact he did because it would sell the illusion… ((OOC: Sorry for the shortness))

The male gave the council a bow before he left to get the coffee. "All right - time to move onto education rates" began the council member. The female straightened her back a little after she had repositioned her arms.
'Time to move on to phase two' thought Marii. She tried to figure out how big the room was in size.

'I guess the room is about 14 feet wide and 15 feet long. But again, none of these people are shinobis' remembered the young woman. She kept listening to the man while gathering chakra for her jutsu.
"We've had an 8% increase of students at the shinobi academy. The knowledge center however has just had a 5% increase in student mass" informed the male.

"That's a shame. I had hoped more people would attend the knowledge center after we got attacked two years ago" told a woman who sat at the other end. The Raikage did the handseals under the table once the female council member had stopped speaking.
"I have to say that I agree with you. We need more people who have knowledge about technology as well as engineering" replied the younger female.

"That's..." started the council member before she let out a yawn. The jutsu had started to kick in. "Oh my - I feel really tired" told the male after blinking.
"Me too" muttered the brunette as she rubbed her eyes. She did it only for show since the fuuton jutsu did not affected her at all.

Even the ANBU guards were feeling the effects. Most of them were either sitting down or making yawning noises. It did not take long until everyone in the room had fallen asleep.
The young woman leaned back and nearly closed her eyes when she saw that most of the people had fallen asleep. She knew that Okuda would be back any minute now with one of the guards.

'So far, so good. I trust you to do your part Okuda-kun' thought Marii as she tried to remain still. She knew that this room had security cameras that would have caught the events on tape.
Those tapes would be the proof required for her 'murder' - especially with so many hostile people in the room. The young woman prayed that the second stage would go just as she had planned.

Description: The user after performing the needed handseals does two things. The first thing it does is it allows the air around the user when breathing in to stay normal, to allow the user to perform normally. The second thing this technique does is it drops the air pressure around the user within the distance of five meters radius. This radius never decreases. Within the first round the opponent feels sleepy as they begin to yawn greatly, their reaction time becomes slow, their capability of performing handseals becomes drowsy. When the second round comes in the opponent or those that are within the same room whether an opponent or not, will fall into a deep sleep. The amount of time for them to stay in a long sleep is that of twenty rounds, which is equivalent to two minutes, or within the length of a small skip such as binding an opponent.
Limit: Must have wind release.

By Naota Okuda would slowly walk back up the stairs now balancing two trays full of coffee cups to go on one of those portable carrying devices. As he got to the top of the stairs, he could hear the falling of bodies and knew that it was part of the plan and that he needed to look surprised. Dropping the coffee the young Samurai quickly ran into the room, practically breaking the door open, as if he were in a hurry and looked at the sight upon him. He quickly checked a few of those he knew to be unconscious then the Raikage. When the young Samurai checked the Lady Raikage’s status, he feigned shock that even she too was knocked unconscious. He then shouted for help to get into the room that there had been an attack of some kind. He knew that the plan was for the Raikage to make some kind of ‘miraculous’ recovery as the help got into the room to make it seem less suspicious than if she had been awake already when they were called into the room. Okuda though wasn’t that sure of what to do next, the plan was kept relatively vague to stop people from learning it… ((OOC: Sorry about the shortness))

A bear ANBU plus two falcon ANBU's were standing downstairs. The Raikage had assigned them on guard duty. Suddenly, they heard someone shout.
"This does not sound good! I'll go upstairs while you two stay here" ordered the man.

He ran upstairs while molding chakra for a possible attack. The shinobi wondered what could have happened. Nobody had left or entered the room apart from that short redhead from earlier.
The sight that met the ANBU made his blood freeze. It appeared that the entire council plus the Raikage had been knocked out.

'I better keep that redhead here. He may be a suspect' thought the male as he turned on his walkie-talkie. "You two better come up here - we have a code red situation" muttered the shinobi.
He went straight over to the closest council members to check their bodies. There was no blood or cuts on their clothes or skin...so far so good.

'Looks like they're breathing as well' observed the man when he saw the older man's chest rise slightly. He then went over to the Raikage to check on her.
"Lady Raikage, can you hear me? Can you hear me!?" shouted the ANBU after he had shaken her a little.

'Showtime' thought the female as she blinked. "Uuurgh...what just happened?" inquired Marii after she had opened up her eyes. "I came up here after I heard someone shout" replied the male.
"Do you remember what happened?" inquired the tallest falcon agent who was looking at Okuda. She apparently thought that he was the suspect.

"I do. We were in the middle of discussing the education matters when I started to feel really sleepy. I recall some of the others falling asleep as well" told the young woman.
"Did you see any shadows or heard any suspicious noises?" inquired the male agent. The Raikage pretended to be deep in thought about the question.

"No - I just remember that Okuda left to get some coffee right before people started to yawn" replied the female. "I see. Let's take the council members to the cells since they are prime suspects. I'm afraid we need to do a check on this young man here as well. It's just formalities, nothing to worry about" assured the ANBU.

"Right then - we better get moving. Especially since there will be more guards coming over very soon" told the young man. The senior member nodded before they handcuffed all of the six council members. They would go straight to jail while the Raikage would go to the hospital. Okuda had to go to the jail with the ANBU to make the scheme more genuine - for now at least.
