Rabimaru Yamanaka vs. Dr. Neuro, RN
Rabimaru Yamanaka stopped and sighed through his gas mask as he pulled the goggles from his bright blue eyes; despite the fact that the zooming lens were set to their lowest possible setting, it still caused him headaches to look through them for too long. He actually considered removing the lenses for the moment, but he figured they would help him to see objects from a distance more easily, and at the moment, that was somewhat important. He pulled the hood back down from his head, revealing his shock of blonde hair for only a moment in order to pull the goggles back on. As soon as the strap was behind his head, the dark green hood came back up; a quick adjustment set the goggles back in place, obscuring his eyes once more. The marksman might normally worry about the reflection of sunlight on the glass, but the shadow of the hood worked well in keeping the glass out of direct sunlight. His hands shifted the tactical vest under his dark green cloak, setting it in place so that he would be able to quickly grasp either of the bolt magazines with his left hand while his right could be free to reach up and grasp the stock of the crossbow over his right shoulder. One held only two bolts; his specially-made bolts with the smoke-releasing arrowheads; the other held the regular 28 bolts. The two were carefully placed on opposite sides of his tactical vest, ensuring that they wouldn't be mixed up, even in the heat of battle. Not much of this motion would likely be noticed much, since the cloak covered almost the entirety of his body. It helped to obscure his jacket, with its Kasuta clan symbol on its back, as well as another layer of clothing hiding the Yamanaka clan symbol he'd hung around his neck. At the moment, the polished metal was under several layers of clothing, so it wasn't going to be seen. It also served to hide his fair, light skin tone, making it quite difficult to tell from only a look his skin color, his gender, or even his weight.
There was a breath of wind that blew through the forest made up of huge blades of grass, and the whispers that it sent through the foliage prompted the genin to take another quick look at his surroundings. He was near the edge of a huge plain of grass that was nearly as tall as he was at 5'10", of a similar color to his own hood and cloak. This served to make him somewhat camouflaged in such an environment, as that was the purpose of such coloration to his clothing. Behind him was a huge forest, one of only a few in the Land of Grass. He was some distance from the Village now, but he had been stalking an animal for a long while, and he could not simply give up the chase when he'd already invested so much time into it. The wind stirred again, but it was actually a mostly clear, still day, with the sun gradually sinking behind him, to the west. One might guess that it was about three in the afternoon, and they'd be right.
The trek continued, the teenager stopping every twenty feet or so to slip down onto his knees and confirm the track via droppings, footfalls, and parted grass. It was a long trek, but the droppings were becoming more fresh.
