Name: Salvage
Rank: C
IIC Length: 2 Days (48 Hours)
Difficulty: Moderate
Objective: Quietly board the ship and collect the hostages and return the Feudal Lord’s daughter to her home safely.
Description: A ransom has been delivered to the Embassy of Takigakure stating that a malevolent ship captain demands a chest of prized possessions in exchange for the hostages that were taken from Seisui four days ago. Please note that one of the hostages is the Feudal Lord’s youngest daughter, Kiera and that the Feudal Lord would like for her to be returned to his home safely.
Reward: 7,100 Ryo for a Non-Ninja; 9,250 Ryo for a Ninja
After receiving his mission from the tower, Yamato gathered his supplies and then headed out. As he traveled to the destination that was giving in the mission scroll, he decided to mentally review what he needed to do. It seemed that a ship captain had managed to capture some hostages and wanted ransom money. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but one of the hostages they had was quite valuable. It seemed that this captain had managed to somehow kidnap the feudal lord's youngest daughter. Naturally the feudal lord wanted her back, which was why this was posted as a mission.
The feudal lord's daughter was taken four days ago and he wanted her to be returned home safely. Yamato would try to return her home unharmed, but there were no promises. Anything could happen on this mission, so he needed to be prepared.
Now that he reviewed what the mission was about, Yamato needed to decide how he was going to accomplish it. He could barge on the ship loud and confident, demanding the captain to give the daughter back. But the likely hood of the captain agreeing to this was less than one percent. Plus it wasn't how ninjas did things. Ninjas were supposed to be silent and deadly. By the time you noticed one, you should already be dead. At least that was what Yamato believed.
Since the hostages were on a ship, Yamato would more than likely need to get on it by water walking. Luckily he learned that technique in the academy, so it wouldn't be a problem. Once he was on the ship he would need to locate the hostages and rescue them. He highly doubted that he would be able to pull them without being noticed, so he would need to come up with some plans in case things went awry.
The next couple of hours passed in silence as Yamato traveled to his destination. He didn't take any breaks along the way since he wanted to get to the ship as quickly as possible. Once he arrived at the location dictated on the map, he glanced at the sky. If he had to guess, he would say it was around four o'clock. Since he wanted to attempt to board the ship at night, he had a couple more hours to wait. Taking a comfortable position in a nearby tree, Yamato closed his eyes. All he needed to do now was wait.
