Tsukiko lay awake in her bed, not wanting to remove herself from the warm cocoon of thick blankets and soft pillows she was currently nested in. Sunlight was already pouring in through the windows, fighting to break through the dark shaded blinds. Reluctantly, Tsu climbed out of her bed, the cold air immediately raising goose bumps on her bare flesh. The black t-shirt and black spandex shorts did little to nothing in keeping her warm. Her bare feet touched the bare cold floors as she exited her bedroom and walked down the hall of her two floor cabin to the bathroom. A hot shower was all she needed to get her day started.

Tsu left her bedroom, dressed in a comfortable yellow robe. The sleeves were short, riding down to her biceps. A thick black satin sash held the robe firmly against her torso, with navy blue spandex shorts covering her legs down to her thighs and footwear of a matching color carrying up to just above her knees but leaving her toes exposed. Tsukiko had no intention of heading outside into the bitter cold, but she had some ideas on how she would spend her day. She walked silently two floors down her hardwood steps to the basement. The constant Yuki cold had tempered the wood in such a way that if anyone else had set foot on the stairs, they would have creaked and moaned hideously.
Tsukiko used the basement primarily as a training area, as there was nearly double the amount of square footage in the sub level than in the two floors above it combined. The concrete walls and floor grasped the cold, but she enjoyed how it cooled her when she was training hard. She had meant to begin training a new technique a few days ago but never seemed to have the time. Today her focus was renewed. Just a few days ago Tsu had come across a book, outlined with multiple ways to manipulate and form chakra. She found one to be particularly interesting and thought she'd give it a shot.
Tsukiko sat down with her legs crossed underneath her on a circular bamboo mat in the center of the floor. Closing her eyes, she focused on feeling the ebb and flow of the chakra within herself. She breathed in deeply and exhaled slowly, methodically exerting control of her chakra. Her chakra flow began to increase in both intensity and speed. She could feel the warm brush of her chakra under her skin, the heat pushing cold trapped in the basement away from Tsu.
Taking absolute control of the increase in chakra flow, Tsukiko channeled the chakra down through her arms and into her hands. Feeling the buildup of heat in her hands, Tsu opened her eyes. Her hands were giving off a faint violet colored aura that brightened when she focused additional amounts of chakra into her hands. Feeling the excess of chakra built up in her hands, Tsu closed her eyes and brought both of her hands together. Imagining a long thin blade in her mind, she began forcing the chakra from her hands, slowly attempting to give shape to her life energy.
The violet colored chakra slowly extended from her hands inches at a time. Tsukiko struggled to maintain the growth of the chakra, finding it difficult to extend the chakra from her hands and shape it simultaneously. Her hands began to ache from the excessive chakra flowing through them, enough to become a distraction and diminish her focus slightly. She continued to force the chakra from her hands until she could no longer continue the flow of chakra through her hands due to the deep aching.
The chakra blade was about as long as a large knife, and the blade itself lacked any real substance. Tsu felt she needed to hold her hands together in order to keep the blade together. Examining the fruits of her labors, she couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment. She glanced the blade over once more before separating her hands and watching the chakra dissipate into the air. Tsu ran her fingers through her hair, prepping herself for another attempt at the technique.
