Niou–Jinmon no Raiton (Summoning: Heavenly Deva Gate of Thunder)
Rank: S
Skill: Raiton Ninjutsu/Kinjutsu
Effect: Summons a legendary gate that allows the temporary passage of various entities affiliated purely with the thunder release to aid the user in battle, similar to the Fuuton technique, ‘Kuchiyose: Kirikiri no Mai’.
Special: ‘Handseals’ – Bite the finger, then slam hands onto ground together.
Drawback: Summons last very briefly. One needs to RP finding the Raiton Shrine hidden somewhere within the Thunder Country. The gate itself can be broken easily by two ‘S’ ranked attacks once summoned. Summoned entities can be attacked as well. Each entity can only be used once per thread, regardless of whether it stayed out for all turns, or it was defeated early. After the initial summon, one has to pay an additional ‘C’ ranked chakra cost per turn of the gate being open. Summon’s base rank reflects power and difficulty, not chakra output.
Description: Children’s stories and legends of grand lore once foretold of a time long ago, before the existence of the currently used structured and militarized hidden ninja village system, when great beasts roamed the earth, and when the earth itself was a smaller place. Lesser men meant lesser evil, but where injustice amongst each other was lacking, the evils of 'the others' would certainly do a wonderful job of replacing it. As such, these men and women were forced to call upon extraordinary entities comprising of the earth’s elements itself to aid them in fighting the good fight. Created during the earth's creation as a byproduct of nature so that it could defend itself should its many different inhabitants or possible invaders prove to be too destructive, these beasts headed the calls of their masters, and without much effort, were successful in bringing peace. When violence, danger and war no longer lingered, these beasts were locked away by the very heroes that wielded them, sealed in a temple meant to honor their courage and their strength. When they passed on, so did their secrets, and for hundreds of years, the great beasts slept.
Common knowledge regards these beasts as nothing more than fairy tales. However, a few elite shinobi that prove their worth and talent in the Raiton arts are chosen by a hidden sect created to honor and guard the temple to learn these very techniques, as the turbulent times require those only of the purest souls to wiled such power in the name of peace. Created eons ago, few know of this, and as such, it’s meant to be wielded only in the most dire of situations…
The Deva Gate itself is grand in nature. Spanning of two solid, fifty meter rectangular doors, these adamantium slabs descend from the heavens after their master summons them, closed in nature as they rapidly propel themselves downwards under a hail of dark skies and thunder. It suddenly halts midair, remaining closed as the occasional spark runs through its. After one turn passes of the gate being summoned, it finally opens, both doors sliding open on their own accord. A black void is briefly revealed inside, and in a millisecond, a bright flash of light shoots everywhere briefly, blinding everyone but the user. After that, the being shoots forth from the open gates, manifesting itself uniquely in order to aid the user in battle. The gate itself remained open and floating in the sky for as long as the being is out. A thirty meter ‘safe zone’ exists in the form of an invisible globe of fast moving thunder covering the gates, where anything that that enters that area is immediately struck by thunder and is left shocked and paralyzed. Solid attacks can be deterred and slowed down, but flowing type attacks are barely stopped. These beings are susceptible to damage, as is the gate itself, but their hides are nonetheless sturdy. Definitely a battle ender.
Limit: Must have Raiton release and have mastered it. Must specialize in ninjutsu.
The north east of the land of lightning unlike the south of the planes of thunder below were largely unexplored. Stepped in mystery and ancient traditions few ever dared make the venture out into the land of thunder. It is a beautiful environment surrounded and littered with dangerous animal both natural and supernatural. The northeast formed from a group of older states sits along the ocean and has a shared coast with its neighboring countries. Yet it is one of the least explored area's in all of the ninja world. Dominating the northern border of this region is the largest mountain range in the ninja world.
known also as the third poll the mountain ranges are another place where winds screaming at speeds of over 280 kilometers and hour ravage the snow covered caps of the high mountain-ed region. Weathering causes massive rock slides that can send entire walls of snow covered rocks to come falling down at a moments notice. The animals that live on these peaks were accustomed to the life style of the mountain. Giant goats that lived on the rock wall jump from rock to rock looking for toughs of grass and lichen that collected on the rock wall. Shiki looked up at the sheer faces of the rock wall with his doka in his hand. He was keeping his fingers from getting bit by the cold as he wrapped his cold weather cloak around his body.
For humans reaching the peaks of these mountains was the achievement of a life time. But some animals regularly cross these summits. Looking over head there were a flock of geese that squeaked by. Shiki grabbed his climbing pick and started the long decent up the side of the egress that allowed him to start his way up the side of the mountain ranges. Shiki moved for a short while trudging along through the snow covered tips until he worked along the mountain pass way. Looking to his right Shiki could see down into the valley of the alpine slopes. Down in that valley there were all manner of creatures. Giant black bears that own the land were the superiors predictors in the valley.
Though most of the bears tend to find their home in the forest there was no such thing as an opportunistic lacking bear. These bears were acclimatized by the region. Shiki had his mind pulled from his thoughts as there was another strong gust of icy wind that bit his face as he continued to hike up the rock wall. Back a ling time ago there was a race in Kumogakure to reach the top of the peak of these ranges. Simply known as thunders tooth there was a mystery that was accustomed to ninjas growing up in the land of thunder to reach the top of the peak.
This all started 36 years ago. It was a romantic quest for all for man to climb thunders tooth. The peak of the mountain range was undisputed as the tallest point in the world. The peak reached all the way up to 29.000 feet. It was a journey into the unknown and no one even knew if it was possible. Shiki just kept moving one foot in front of the other. It was a matter of a challenge. To over come his fear and hopefully reach the top. Trudging through the snow he looked up and saw the massive stone tooth striking out from the mountain range. The journey just to reach the mountain was over. It was time to set up camp and start looking at how to properly climb this thing.
