While exploring the fascinating Isle of Taro, and the even more interesting City for exams. Pax decided to slip out for a little bit of air, spread his wings out. Hadn't done much training lately and he was planning to. But he decided to give the local libraries a visit first. Among some of the first libraries he entered he found a book that peaked his interests. "Chakra Lore" A basic book that would introduce him to the skill as a whole.
It started to describe what it could do for the ninja in very simple terms. It would help him figure out what an opponent was using against him, so long as it used chakra. Let him identify chakra items if he ever needed to, and let him decipher certain scrolls. All these uses seemed to be great as well as the idea of just basic knowledge on how the world around him works.Without much notice Pax sat at a table and was nose deep into the book.
It had seemed that it had a table on the next few pages, showing that certain style of jutsus usually end holding specific hand signs. This would be a good tell at helping to identify what possible jutsu could be coming his way. Many fire style jutsus would end with a tiger seal. And many Universal techniques would end with either rat or snake. Pax then looked around sneakily and copied the chart into his own notebook to study later.
The next page explained that those of certain higher ranks could possibly feel the aura of the incoming jutsu. A water jutsu that was coming could feel like a thick mist, weighing the opponent down, even before its used. A fire jutsu would likely make the air feel ashy around the opponent and user. A charred smell could almost be determined by those more intune with their senses. It went on to also explain that a wind jutsu could feel a shift in currents. As if the user was a vacuum.
The next few pages described basic genjutsus to Pax, and that they would mainly be identified by a still opponent. This couldn't always be a determining factor however. Since genjutsu was very broad of a subject the book wasn't as detailed as before. Beware for a heavy head, or a light heart. An empty stomach or a head ache, or even just the overwhelming feeling of jealousy. Any emotion really. Pax knew all too well what genjutsu's felt like. Determined to learn more Pax shoved his nose even further into the book.
