MONSTERS
It was a quiet and peaceful day as the sun poured down it's immense rays upon the old city of ruin. The buildings were structured with simple square builds about 3m in height and 5x5 in length and width. Each house was spaced between the other about 2m in every alley way in a unique and very neat engineered design. The houses were still clearly intact. On top of the roof Yumia wore her usual attire with her katanna at her hip and 2 gauntlets on her arms red in color matching the sheath and hilt of her blade. Her buttbag on her rear with 3 slots of senbon. She looked around from atop one of the 3m buildings looking around the entire ruined city.
From what she could see a giant a giant obelisk stood at the front of the city 100m talles it's shadow cast the opposite direction. She had originally come out here to hunt and kill a giant desert worm that was bothering a nearby village. It was said that the worm made it's home here so of course this was the first thing she checked however to no avail she had discovered nothing but however did not let her guard down.
MONSTERS
Thunderherder
Rank: ""
Type: Rare, Huge, Mystical Beast
Effect: Thunderherders are distantly related to Purple Worms. They burrow through the loose sand in great numbers and resemble gigantic, brown worms.
Special: Preparation: 30 minutes; Duration: —
Drawback: ---
Description: Thunderherders are distantly related to Purple Worms. They burrow through the loose sand in great numbers and resemble gigantic, brown worms. Thunderherers are not aggressive against individuals, but they do a tremendous amount of damage to non-permanent structures. These creatures will bite at anything that is stuck into the ground, i.e., tent stakes, hitching posts, fences, etc. While they nibble at them, they continue to burrow, dragging tents, steeds, and anything else that happens to be attached. Victims dragged along with these items suffer 6 Armour Points of damage each round that they are dragged. Loud explosions will cause the creature to burrow downward, dragging any unfortunates and burrowing them 3 to 20 meters below the sand. Buried victims suffocate in a number of rounds equal to their Fortitude divided by 2. Desert natives know to avoid these creatures by camping on solid ground, rock, near water supplies, or permanent structures. Any herd numbering more than 20 will cause an earthquake in the area for 2d6 rounds within the range of 30 meters. Herds consist of dozens, sometimes hundreds of Thunderherders. They will consume any roots, tubers or organic materials they can get their teeth on. In one known instance, an entire herd of Thunderherders stumbled into an Egyptian tomb and consumed all the corpses and mummies inside. Thunderherders are dumber than most cows, but smarter than most Purple Worms. If attacked, they moan pitifully for 1 round, then attempt to burrow in a different direction.
Yields: Thunderherders are edible, but taste terrible. Desert natives only eat them in dire emergencies.

Worm, Purple, Sand
Rank: ""
Type: Very Rare, Gargantuan, Mystical Beast
Effect: These are monstrously huge purple worms that are beige. They roam the desert wastes in a constant search for food.
Special: Preparation: —; Duration: —
Drawback: ---
Description: These are monstrously huge purple worms that are beige. They roam the desert wastes in a constant search for food. Purple Worms are non-intelligent, but sensitive to vibrations in their area. They can easily burrow or swim beneath prey and erupt underneath in an attempt to swallow it. Sand Worms are so large that they do not notice an attack that inflicts less than 10 Armour Points of damage. When it swallows a victim, it dives on it, burrowing into the sand in one round. Victims are forced down the gullet of the Worm and must save vs. poison or spend the next 1d4 rounds choking on sand. Additionally, there is a 30% chance that the victim will be impaled on the barbs inside the creature's mouth for 10 Armour Points of damage. In this case, the victim is not actually swallowed. Victims inside can last for up to 2 days. However, there is a 5% chance per turn the victim will be expelled from the creature's body. Purple Worms of all varieties are mindless and congregate only to mate. Sand Worms do not have lairs, but are extremely old and accumulate vast wealth inside their gullets from swallowing adventurers. There is a bar in the world where any person can get VIP status if they can prove they were swallowed by a Purple Worm and fought their way out. The exclusive club is known as "The Swallowed" and they have an annual party that is very posh. The Climax of the evening is the serving of cooked Purple Worm eyes. These eyes have an indescribably disgusting taste and eaters must succeed at a Fortitude Save to avoid vomiting for 1d4 rounds. Everyone in the club is expected to take at least one bite. Thankfully, Purple Worms are not very prolific. Offspring are on their own from the second they hatch. So mindless, so voracious and so hated are these creatures, that even druids are anxious to hack them into tiny pieces. Contrary to the popular Blattaria rumor, obscene gestures will not cause a Purple Worm to chance targets.

Diet: Carnivore; Intelligence Non; Activity: Any; Alignment: Neutral; Organization: Solitary; Number Appearing: 1; Region: Desert; Identification: Very Difficult; Cultivation: Very Difficult; Skills: —; Innate Abilities: Tremorsense 20 meters. Natural Armour +15. Swallow Whole.
