Fuuton- Divine Wind Technique: Windmill Shurikens

Skill: Ninjutsu

Effect: Creating manipulated wind windmill shurikens which are very sharp and can brake through trees/bones/rock, and even penetrate through metal. This jutsu is used as a offensive/defense to keep the users opponents at bay or perhaps to surprise attack with something lethal. The jutsu's speed is moderate, but isn't to slow nor all that fast. However, it is destructive if used well. Unlike the dove which has speed, or the wind shuriken which has less chakra. This jutsu is the power abuser.

Special: "Handseals"

Drawback: The user takes focus to maintain this technique. Plus no other jutsu can be used while this jutsu is effect. However, if you are taijutsu specialist using your skills, they can be used [required that they don't use too much motion. Focus is the key so if knocked, pushed, or thrown off course this jutsu can be easily canceled and windmill/windmills can be dispersed.

Description: The user after performing handseals focuses chakra to the area around them. This is up to 5 meters of there surrounding area. The user focusing the shape of there chakra to resemble windmill shurikens. Creates thick shurikens of wind that absorbs debris around and spins at fast pace and is very visible by its white substance. (It is the same size as a regular windmill, which is roughly a meter or two) Using there chakra the user continues spinning the techinque in the air around you. The windmill shuriken can be moved through the area of 30-50 meters before disappearing out of range. It can be manipulated through the users hands/arms and takes focus to maintain. Up to three windmill shuriken may be created until training will be needed for more. The shuriken is extremly sharp and due to its spinning can be proven to be very deadly Creating more shuriken will take more practice and if achieved can be learned up to 7 shuriken. Not to mention the training by itself. The jutsu is very useful, but takes time to learn to its potential.

Kaneki exited his hotel room, rolling his stiff shoulders around before exhaling into the cool morning air. He was adorned in his general outfit, a pair of dark blue pants tucked into black boots. A matching vest with four pouches sewed into it. He had set his senbon needles in his right breast pouch, though he doubted he would need them with today's training. His black cloak covered most of his attire as he swung it onto his shoulders, careful to allow his katana to slip through the slit created for it. After pulling his hood up he made his way outside, a small book clasped tightly in his bandaged hands. 

The boy had been in the Land of Hot Springs for some time now, and it never ceased to amaze him how much color could lie in one place. Saving admiration for later he made his way towards a rather nice clearing behind his hotel. The clearing would be perfect for him to attempt his new jutsu that he had been working on. Another of the Wind Release techniques, which he found easiest to control.

There had been a set of logs most likely waiting to be chopped for fire wood, but Kaneki began to roll one of the logs into the middle of the clearing. "This will do..." Once he made it to the center of the clearing he pushed the log onto it's face. Having set up a target Kaneki walked away from the log, he allowed nearly eight meter of space before he felt he had allowed enough distance. "Ok...." Without any hesitation Kaneki began to go into a series of handseals. This technique always seemed to take a few more handseals than any other he had seen. After he concluded the technique his hands landed on the tiger seal. Immediately Kaneki's rejuvenated chakra lashed out around him, Kaneki had used this technique in combat, and though it worked it was far from perfect. His number one problem had been controlling the chakra so it did not harm him.

Kaneki continued to gather the winds around him, using his own body as a focal point until he was satisfied. When he looked up he noticed that he had kicked up a great deal of dust, creating a fast rotating cloud around the boy. Unlike the first times Kaneki tried the jutsu there was no burn in his chakra network, using the proper handseal to limit his chakra had caused an even distribution, no longer straining him. Even though the winds spun around him with great speed he knew it was not enough. 

Kaneki's cloak flew open as the winds increased, he threw both of his hands out in front of him, parallel to the ground. When he placed his left palm under his right he left only a feet of space, watching as his winds circulated in between his hands. He guided his chakra as it formed a ball-like form of winds in between his palms. The sphere was unlike anything Kaneki had seen when using this jutsu, and it caused a moment of hesitation which worked against the shinobi. Kaneki's winds rapidly spiraled out of control until his chakra gave way under the pressure, causing a small explosion that sent the boy flying back almost a clear five feet.

Kaneki's backfire had been rather surprising seeing as how he had successfully used the jutsu once already. After returning himself to a knee the shinobi adjusted his clothing a bit. "The adrenaline must have helped me..." After taking a moment to think Kaneki returned to his full height. The only thing that Kaneki could do was try again, or continue to try until he made any progress. Kaneki turned his attention to the log once more, taking his stance again. 

Once again he went through the series of handseals required to conjure up the wind shuriken. This time he held his palm out to his side, his arm fully outstretched so if there was another explosion it would not send him flying. Kaneki's chakra separated away from his palm, pooling the winds towards his palm until yet again their was a rapid current centering at his hand. This time he was sure to create miniature vacuums that repelled the most dangerous winds from his hand, making sure that he was safe from harm.

Once again Kaneki watched the shape of a sphere was taken inside of his palm. The second he saw it he devoted all of his attention to his chakra, making sure it stayed in check while he was conjuring the shuriken. In only moments the sphere had flattened and grown four wind blades, matching the image of a Demon wind shuriken. This time Kaneki was sure he had it, the result being something that he was not completely sure was correct. He had indeed formed the shuriken but it was not moving as fast as when he first did it.

Rather than take another moment to speed it up he simply looked to his target, the wooden log had not moved and was as nice a target as ever. Kaneki took a few steps forward before launching his shuriken towards the log. He watched as the shuriken sped to the target, it curved into the air for a moment before moving to the ground. The blades came into contact with the ground for a moment, leaving a streak of dust before it found its way home to the target. 

The moment the jutsu impacted Kaneki's hand balled into a fist, rather than slice through the log like would b expected, it simply impacted the log, exploding into a gust of winds as it did. The target was knocked over and the shinobi immediately made his way over to it. When he looked at it he realized that the blades had left a rather nasty gash in the log, but it was still not perfected. After setting the log back where it belonged he returned back to his position, hoping to make more progress next time.

When first learned the technique's strength is the force of a bat. When the user learns the "A" rank the air pressure is as strong as the blade of the sword. When the user learns the "S" rank the air pressure is strong enough to cut through Overview objects. Depending on the user's class level depends on the distance of the technique.

Effect: A technique is similar to Gosei Ryuu: Ryusen (Dragon Strike) however the force of the attack bypasses, or redirects around the first object hit smashing into the target behind.

Drawback: Distance is half to what Gosei Ryuu: Ryusen (Dragon Strike) is capable.
Description: A technique developed for hostage situations. A user performs Gosei Ryuu: Ryusen (Dragon Strike). When Gosei Ryuu: Ryusen (Dragon Strike) is struck the wave of force misses the first person or object while it redirects, smacking into a target directly behind. This can be used at conjunctions for buildings and other objects as well. Depending on the user's knowledge of Gosei Ryuu: Ryusen (Dragon Strike) depends on the strength of they are able to perform in this technique. Depending on the user's Class depends on the distance of Gosei Ryuu: Ryusen (Dragon Strike) divided by two for Gosei Ryuu: Itenryusen (Moving Dragon Strike) distance.

Shiki walked into the area where Kaneki was training. He saw the young kid working on his wind release. To be completely honest Shiki had no idea how to do anything concerning that release. It was funny watching, to be honest. There was something satisfying about watching the young kind making things move by simply bending the air. Shiki wasn't really sure if there was something that made this technique work.

Shiki grabbed his blade and moved over to the training area and watched the kid trying to create some sort of projectile of wind in his hands. Shiki understood sort of what the kid was trying to accomplish with his moves. Shiki grabbed Thanatos in his hands. The only thing that Shiki could do that was even close to what this guy was doing was his slicing wind strike. And right now "slicing wind strike" was a bit generous.

It was more like a gentle knock back strike now these days. Shiki wanted to be able to make the blade hit more like a truck and less like a little gust of wind. Shiki moved over to the edge of the wood line and looked at a small tree that was standing up in the clearing where the folk were gathering around to train. Shiki took Thanatos in his hands and took a couple practice swings in the air around him.

Shiki looked over at the tree and took a mighty swing towards it. As he did he created a whip of wind that reached out from his blade that was getting gradually stronger as it traveled across the air. As it did Shiki watched the tree to see how the hit was going to impact the tree. The blade grew more and more in width as it traveled outwards. The blade had two very distinct parts of the hit as it was getting ready to travel outwards.

There was the actual wind that was being released that was gathering its shearing shrapness from the chakra that was present in his swing. But there was also the actual air that was being moved and that came with his force of his swing. It was something that came out of years of strengthening his muscles and getting his comfort with a sword to the point where he would be able to make the swing.

Kaneki's training was halted when he say Shiki walk into the clearing with him. He stood silently for a moment while watching the shinobi carefully, curios as to how he fought. It seemed his skills had laid in the arts of the sword. Something Kaneki planned to learn when he had the time. He turned away from the shinobi and returned to his own training. Once again he began to gather his chakra around him, moving into his slew of handseals necessary for the technique.

As he did he focused on the target, hoping that he would be able to finally master this technique. As his chakra began to circulate around him he raised his hand out, with his palm facing the skies. The chakra circulating around him began to fuse with the air and create the currents of air he used to create his shuriken. The winds began to speed up, the fastest he was able to create so far. With a thought from their creator the winds began to fly towards Kaneki's palm, condensing their rotation in his palm as he closed his eyes from the winds.

As the shuriken began to form in his palm Kaneki looked to his target, which was still eight meters from him. Without any hesitation Kaneki threw his wrist forward, letting out a quiet grunt as it flew from his hands. The winds continued to rotate, as the blades of the shuriken became more and more vivid. It was not until the wind weapon connected with the target that he knew it was a success. The log had been completely split in half, the top half sliding off the slant slowly. This caused a smile to come to Kaneki's face, he knew this would be one of his deadliest techniques.

He made his way to the targets before glancing over to Shiki once more, speaking softly, so much so that he may not have been heard. "Shiki. I'm a Genin right? When do i advance?" As he spoke he picked up both halves of the logs, walking them over to the nearby treeline. Awaiting Shiki's reply he pulled out his metal wire, tying both of the logs to the branch of a nearby tree. 

Satisfied with how the logs dangled from the tree he returned to the center of the clearing, he began to focus on his chakra once more, as he did he stared at the targets that hung nearly twenty meters away. He knew he would have to learn how to use the jutsu while on the move, and because of it's rather large size it would practice to be used effectively in combat.

As the blade was brought around there was a slicing wave of air that was sent flying across the field that swept into the tree. As the wind swept into the tree Shiki was a little apprehensive of the strike. Some of the tree branches that were smaller were knocked to the ground and several of the leaves were sent to the floor. As the floor was covered in a huge explosion of leaves and small twigs Shiki sighed. 

Shiki took a second to look down on his blade and think about how exactly he needed to make sure that his hit packed a little bit more of a wallop. He thought about the principle of wind and how exactly it would work. Shiki wanted the wind to cut just as if he was taking a swing with his blade from a distance. Right now the attack was only good to knock things to the floor. It was like Shiki was hitting something with the flat of his blade. 

Shiki blinked a few times. Of course! this made sense. The blade would cut something in real combat because it had two very important things that made up the force of a hit. The first hit was going to be a combination of two very important factors. The first factor being the force of the blow. A spherical ball could decapitate someone if it was moving fast enough. The second part important part was the shape.

The shape of the wind was only a small part of the actual wind blade that was being created. But of course it made all the difference in the world. Shiki envisioned how the wind would have to be shaped to make that perfect cut and took a couple practice swings. He looked at the edge of Thanatos. Maybe there was something to be learned simply from looking over the blade itself? 

Shiki thought about creating a simple sharp edge. But Shiki started building up a little but of energy before taking one massive powerful swing with his blade. As he did he sent the sharpened wind outwards in the same cone like fashion towards the tree. As he sent the cone flying it whipped over the grass on the ground cutting the grass with his blade of wind. Shiki felt accomplished as the wind traveled towards the tree.

Shiki watched with wide eyes as the blade of wind was getting ready to go crashing into the tree. As the wind hit the tree however all it did was leave one very thin scar in the tree bark. Shiki felt all his motivation and excitement fall flat as the unremarkable damage on the tree appeared on the knotted bark. Shiki looked down at Thanatos. There was something he wasn't getting about the blade that he needed to understand. 

Shiki ran his fingers along the steel of Thanatos. There was somethings special and magical about having a blade that was just so perfect for cutting through just about everything that he had no idea how exactly having and containing a normal blade would work or hold up compared to Thanatos. Thanatos had spoiled him. He drew his Kunai from the chest rig that he was wearing and started looking at the edge of the weapon. 

Shiki wasn't getting to much from just this so he opened up his book on weapons smiting. It was something that could be considered just an overview on the basics of weapons smiting. It was really just used so he could identify weapons and weapon styles a little bit better. Turning over the page he read the first stanza. Each type of sword blade were often forged with different profiles, different blade thicknesses, and varying amounts of grind.

The best known part of the manufacturing process is the folding of the steel, where the swords are made by repeatedly heating, hammering and folding the metal. The process of folding metal to improve strength and remove impurities is frequently attributed to specific types of blades. Shiki looked at Thanatos and compared the Kunai in his hands. Perhaps that was the secret. It was more then just making a sharp edge. 

Shiki needed to make sure the wind was dense and also containing folded power of the wind circumventing on itself. Just like this master worked blade he needed to makes sure that he was using every part of his exertions to make the most efficient techniques and power from his attacks. Not doing so was not just going to make fighting more arduous but it wold limit how much damage he would out put with his blade.

Kaneki exhaled as he looked at his targets, two of them dangling from a tree that was twenty meters away. Going into the series of handseals necessary for the Wind Release Shuriken Kaneki ended on the Tori seal, his eyes locked onto the target across from him. He held his palm out away from his body, as he had done several times before. Practice was beginning to show its worth when the winds began to rapidly swarm to his palm. His chakra flared as the technique ensued, his palm became the center for the winds, forming the bases of the shuriken. 

As soon as he saw the base of the shuriken Kaneki began a dead sprint, running directly towards his targets. Running with the shuriken was harder than he thought, even though it was not yet a physical weapon the winds spiraling next to him were enough to throw him off. His sprint continued until he had made it to the trunk of the tree, focusing his chakra to his feet as well as his palm was a challenge. 

The moment his foot began to adhere to the side of the trunk he looked to his shuriken which was just now beginning to form blades. As the blades formed he continued to climb the tree, a smirk on his face. Once he reached the peak of the tree he bent his leg, pushing off from the tree with all the strength he could muster in his legs. As soon as he found himself in the air he began to rotate until he faced the tree. Without the time to properly aim Kaneki launched his shuriken towards the logs. He knew if he waited too long he would not have time to recover from his leap.

He let his hands impact the ground first, pushing himself into a roll on the ground. After he settled on the ground he began to pant a bit. When he turned back to the tree trunk he saw that he had completely missed his targets, instead the trunk of the tree had a gash in it that was at least a foot deep. Several of the trees behind that one had a similar gash, leaving a trail of where his shuriken must have traveled.

When Kaneki saw the results of his attack he simply ran a hand through his hair, knowing he would need more work. "I could nail that with a regular shuriken." The mass amount of winds threw his balance off too much for a technique that advanced, he returned to the center of the clearing in obvious frustration. When he looked back to shiki it was obvious the shinobi was having troubles of his own, though his technique did seem rather interesting Kaneki would not devote any time to seeing it again.

Kaneki looked to tree and the gash that was on the side of it. He had not noticed it at first but the gash was a nice clean cut. It was barely three inches wide and seemed to cut through the bark like a knife through butter. He knew if he kept it up than his technique would be perfected in no time. Feeling as if he was running low on stamina Kaneki walked under a tree and sat down for a moment, inhaling a nice heaping of fresh air before he had to continue his training.

The shinobi looked around the clearing for a moment, Shiki was still hard at training while Kaneki had already taken a break. He stood up and looked to his peer before making his way out to the center of the clearing once more. Kaneki's left arm had been shaking from using the jutsu so many times. A minor tremor every now and again but still annoying enough for him to switch hands. This time Kaneki closed his eyes, exercising his chakra as the winds picked up once more.

This time he tried to use visualization to aid him, with his eyes closed he felt as if he could almost see the chakra racing in the air around him. While the winds blew he could feel them moving around him. Kaneki held his right palm up towards the sky, listening as his chakra and winds whistled loudly around him. Once he knew the winds had formed properly he began to charge forward, opening his eyes. In his palm was a fully formed wind shuriken, this time rather than charging up the tree Kaneki decided to cut the rush short.

Kaneki had made it only five meters from the tree before launching his shuriken, this time much more used to the balance needed to move with the shuriken. As he planted his feet he launched his shuriken, shooting both his arms forward as he did. The winds wrapped around the weapon before speeding it to the target, slicing both the target and the tree in half. As the large tree began to creak and shift he smirked at his work. It was not until it fell back into the forest that Kaneki felt the strain from overuse of the jutsu.

He moved back to his rest point, sitting down with a loud exhale. His chakra network was still racing, almost like muscles that still tensed after a hard workout. Kaneki opened his jutsu manual and began to read over this particular jutsu once more. As usual reading was a bit of a struggle but eventually he was able to decipher that he had all but mastered the technique, all that was left was chakra control and learning to use it in combat.

Shiki looked over at the tree and took another couple practice swings and watched as the blade whipped through the air. He could hear the blade swing as it caused vibrations. Shiki watched as the blade whipped around and noticed how exactly it needed to work as it cut through the air. Shiki realized that perhaps what he could do is create his wind slice to make it stronger. He thought about how the blade operated. 

Shiki smiled as he pictured how the blade moved and danced in the air. He figured this was the time to just give the blade another powerful swing. As he took a long heavy swing he sent another sharper blade of wind towards the tree. As the wind was sent towards the tree it was moving with a much stronger and more powerful intensity. The wind was traveling at a powerful course and straight towards the tree. 

As the wind flew past it made it about half way towards the tree before the wind suddenly started to warp and create a small cyclone of sharp wind. Once the wind started ripping through the ground. As the wind started whipping through grass and through the dirt. The sharp blade of wind basically exploded and sent dirt and plant matter shooting up into the air all around the field. Shiki frowned. It was a classic one step forwards two step back. 

Shiki had created the intensity he needed with the chakra but the real problem lied in the fact that the wind wasn't able to hold its shape of the blade as he was envisioning it. Shiki looked down at the blade. Of course, he was trying to make a broad sword of wind. Having a single edge provides certain advantages; one being that the rest of the sword can be used to reinforce and support the edge. The wind style of sword-making takes full advantage of this. 

Shiki took another practice swing at the tree. After a short moment he looked at back down at the ground and started looking at how the blade was moving through the wind. Shiki needed to add more chakra form to his swing. The days of just being able to brute force his chakra at targets would not work with this wind style technique. Shiki looked around and swung the blade once more in preparation of his next attempt.

Shiki thought about some of the lessons he learned about about chakra manipulation and focused on the chakra that was within his body. After a short moment he took a good portion of his chakra and tried to focus on making the chakra take a physical form outside of his body. After a short moment he found that he had made a small orb substance of chakra in his hands. He took this chakra and applied it to the blade of his weapon.

Of course this was all for training purposes. Shiki wasn't sure if he could ever pull something like that off in a real engagement. But for right here during this training it seemed appropriate. Shiki would be impressed if he even managed to get this technique to produce any sort of palpable results with this technique. Shiki focused on the technique and how he could best shape and use the techniques to his liking. 

Once he could stabilize his posture and set up to the right position, he decided to something he saw his master do once long ago a demonstration of the power of the sword even at a distance. He tried to pull quick enough to create a cut in the very air. He wasn't quite able to get enough speed on it yet. He looked kind of funny just drawing and sheathing his sword in the distance. He didn't let the foolish looking maneuver deter him at all though.

Shiki focused on how the wind was moving as he keep drawing and sheathing, time and time again. Each time he drew and sheathed it was a bit fast creating a wind with each draw. The air started to swirl around him and his scabbard. There was a howl of wind as he kept at his maneuver that is just partially remembered as he attempted it. It would be a feat for him to pull off so strong and fast a draw to create a cut of wind.

This wouldn't be like his other moves which were limited in their reach of striking range to being that of the length of his katana and arms. This strike would use the very air around him to extend his reach and cut someone. This would be a move to watch out for if he could just get the positioning and speed down. More than that he needed to the draw to be strong enough to draw the air to the point of his sword.

Shiki grabbed a hold of his broad sword and saw a huge oak tree that was set near the training area. Shiki wanted to check and see how much strength he could put into a wind attack into the blade. Shiki jogged over quickly to the tree and took in the dimensions of the tree. It was about three feet across and dense. Shiki put his hand on the tree and pressed his skin and muscles into the tree.
The long thing scratch from his last exertion was still on the blade. 

He jogged back about 15 meters or so away from the tree. "If you take a strong enough swing with this technique I'm pretty sure I can slash through this oak tree with my wind tech." Shiki took a deep breath and focused his lighting in his body and in his muscles. He dug his back foot into the ground and grabbed Thanatos. Shiki wasn't sure if he wanted to electrify his blade.
It probably wouldn't matter as Shiki was going to be aiming with a longer reaching wind slash. 

In the end, he decided against it. He would want the blade to be unaltered so that he could see how much his technique mattered in this particular exercise. Shiki looked over at Kenaki. Shiki took a running start and ran at the oak tree. Shiki as he moved through the field towards the tree. Shiki felt the wind whip past his face as he drove the blade infront of him.
Bringing the blade around in a viscous slash towards the tree sending an arc of wind at the tree. 

As he did he let the weapon accidentally slip from his fingertips. As he did the blade went swinging end over end and embedded itself into the tree. Shiki sat there looking at what he had just done with a small smile on his face. Well I guess that was one way someone could preform an air slash. Just fucking throw the fucking thing at someone. Shiki laughed a little and started walking over the tree. 

Shiki took a deep breath and grabbed the blade of his sword, Thanatos. Once he did he put his foot on the tree and wrapped his fingers around the blade. He took a steady stance and slowly started to jerk the blade out of the wall. As he did the blade jiggled out inch by inch out of the oaken tree. As he pulled the blade out he sheathed his sword and sunk down to his knees. Once he was down on the ground he leaned towards the tree.

Effect: Creating manipulated wind windmill shurikens which are very sharp and can brake through trees/bones/rock, and even penetrate through metal. This jutsu is used as a offensive/defense to keep the users opponents at bay or perhaps to surprise attack with something lethal. The jutsu's speed is moderate, but isn't to slow nor all that fast. However, it is destructive if used well. Unlike the dove which has speed, or the wind shuriken which has less chakra. This jutsu is the power abuser.

Special: "Handseals"

Drawback: The user takes focus to maintain this technique. Plus no other jutsu can be used while this jutsu is effect. However, if you are taijutsu specialist using your skills, they can be used [required that they don't use too much motion. Focus is the key so if knocked, pushed, or thrown off course this jutsu can be easily canceled and windmill/windmills can be dispersed.

Description: The user after performing handseals focuses chakra to the area around them. This is up to 5 meters of there surrounding area. The user focusing the shape of there chakra to resemble windmill shurikens. Creates thick shurikens of wind that absorbs debris around and spins at fast pace and is very visible by its white substance. (It is the same size as a regular windmill, which is roughly a meter or two) Using there chakra the user continues spinning the technique in the air around you. The windmill shuriken can be moved through the area of 30-50 meters before disappearing out of range. It can be manipulated through the users hands/arms and takes focus to maintain. Up to three windmill shuriken may be created until training will be needed for more. The shuriken is extremely sharp and due to its spinning can be proven to be very deadly Creating more shuriken will take more practice and if achieved can be learned up to 7 shuriken. Not to mention the training by itself. The jutsu is very useful, but takes time to learn to its potential.

Limit: Need Wind Release. Maximum when learned 1. Can be trained up to 7 times to = of 8 Windmill Shuriken max when trained.

After resting for a while Kaneki stood up, taking a long stretch before looking back to Shiki, who had remained in training the entire time. Motivated by Shiki Kaneki turned back to the tree he had been sitting under. Focusing his chakra to the soles of his feet he began to climb the tree, once he made it to the top he stood on on one of the stronger branches. "Now....let's try this." 

Kaneki knew that for his technique to be effective as a shinobi he would have to perfect it to the point where it could be summoned in the blink of an eye. So far he was only able to summon it in about ten seconds, but he knew there was more he was missing. "If I try condensing my chakra while on the move i can launch it almost instantly." Kaneki dropped down from the tree, running farther into the forest, as he did his chakra began to separate from him.

As he ran through the threes his chakra would collide with the trees, making it harder to form his shuriken. He began to condense his chakra to smaller amounts, focusing it in his palm as he moved through the woods. Condensing the chakra in smaller amounts took longer but it would allow him to use his jutsu on the move. Kaneki began to go into the hand seals necessary for his shuriken. 

He turned sharply as his hands ended on Tori, he saw the target that he would fire at. A small boulder sitting next to a stream, as soon as he saw it Kaneki sprinted towards it. His palm began to swarm with chakra and wind, causing him to hold it out from him. In seconds the base and blades to his shuriken had formed, all that was left was to hit his target! Kicking out his left foot Kaneki lowered himself into a clockwise spin, using the time it would take to speed up his shuriken.

Kaneki's shuriken flew from his hands the moment he finished his rotation. As it flew towards the boulder Kaneki watched, hoping it would hit it's mark. The shuriken sliced through the boulder, leaving only the base of the stone formation while the rest was cut clean off. When Kaneki recovered he smiled softly at his work. When he looked past the boulder he could see another path of cuts for nearly 20 meters, causing him to take a long drawn out whistle. "Hmm...I like it."

Shiki took a couple practice swings with the blade before he realized just exactly he needed to do to make sure that this worked. Shiki was getting the force he needed to make sure that the hit was dangerous. But what he really needed was more control of the blade. He needed to make sure that the blade was being controlled so that the force of the blast was being created in such a way that he could control the hit. 

Shiki grabbed his magnetized sword and made it stick to his hand. Forcing his fingers to stick to the blade Shiki took a couple swings as he felt the difference between controlling the blade and actually having the blade as a fixated extension of his arm. As he swung he felt the different muscle groups that were being used in his swing. This was actually rather interesting. The magnetism was once again being invaluable. 

Shiki loved using his blood limit in order to enhance his natural abilities. It was comforting finding that his blood limits strength was stronger than just relying on his physical strength alone. He was being able to augment his abilities with his understanding of magnetism. He stood there for a moment and started performing another still jutsu as he got ready to unleash more lighting into his body yo increase his speed. 

Shiki stood a couple paces back and started moving towards the tree gathering the speed and momentum he would need to send the inertia of his blast towards the tree. When he had reached his peak speed he stepped forward and sent a powerful swing towards the tree. As he did he made sure that his chakra was being added in just the right way in the swing to let the wind travel through the air.

The wind slash traveled a good 20 meters before it would hit the tree. As it traveled the wave kept getting longer and longer as it traveled. Shiki raised an eyebrow at the traveling wind slash. It was giving a lot of force off. Would this be the hit he was looking for? Shiki realized that this technique would be perfect for catching someone who was trying to run from him. Shiki watched in anticipation as it moved towards the tree.

Kaneki made his way back to the training grounds, happy with the results of his training, now all that was left was to show Shiki. He wondered if he could impress the shinobi, whether he admitted it or not he looked up to the older ninja. He made it back to the training yard just to see Shiki practicing his technique once more. While he did Kaneki made his way over to the shinobi, speaking plainly. "Watch..."

He tapped Shiki on the shoulder to make sure he had the shinobi's full attention. He turned around, still speaking to Shiki. "Wind Release: Windmill Shuriken." With Shiki watching, he began to infuse his chakra with the air around him. At this point it was beginning to feel very natural, his heritage taking over in the jutsu. Moving into the handseals Kaneki focused on his chakra, smiling as it was already going through the process of separating and splitting. 

Concluding the handseals, Kaneki held his right hand out, his jutsu beginning to activate. The winds began to to swarm to his palm, forming the base of the shuriken. He made his target, a smaller tree across from the two. Immediately he ran for the tree, his chakra flaring as the blade's formed and began to go into a rapid spin. 

When he was only ten meters from the tree he kicked out his left leg, crouching low as he swung his right arm out. The shuriken flew, cutting the winds as it made it's way to the target. Once the shuriken impacted the tree it sliced it clean in half, the top toppling over onto the bottom part of the trunk. He exhaled before turning to Shiki, his right arm shaking a bit once again. "I got it..."

Description: A technique developed for hostage situations. A user performs Gosei Ryuu: Ryusen (Dragon Strike). When Gosei Ryuu: Ryusen (Dragon Strike) is struck the wave of force misses the first person or object while it redirects, smacking into a target directly behind. This can be used at conjunctions for buildings and other objects as well. Depending on the user's knowledge of Gosei Ryuu: Ryusen (Dragon Strike) depends on the strength of they are able to perform in this technique. Depending on the user's Class depends on the distance of Gosei Ryuu: Ryusen (Dragon Strike) divided by two for Gosei Ryuu: Itenryusen (Moving Dragon Strike) distance.

Shiki watched as the empowered wind strike didn't just hit the tree. It obliterated it. The sharp blade of wind whipped through the air and with a massive velocity cut deep into the bark of the tree. Shiki wasn't sure how deep the bark cut into the tree until he saw it start to slowly lean towards one specific direction. Shiki' blinked a few times in astonishment as the tree started slowly falling to the ground. 

The tree fell to the ground in an explosive roar of breaking branches. Shiki stood there for a moment taking in exactly what he had just done. He started walking towards the tree to go check out the tree stump to see how the cut was made. As he got near the tree stump, he smiled. The tree was cut down with one clean cut that seemingly blew through the back of the tree. Shiki looked over for the next thing to try this out on.

Looking over at Kaneki he noticed that the young lad seemed to have gotten the jutsu he was trying to train down as well. Shiki gave the kid a thumbs up. "Keep training like that and you will be ready for the Chunin exams in no time kid." Shiki walked over to the kid getting ready to impart some important advice to the young lad. "Listen Kaneki, As you get more experienced as a ninja you start to get judged based on your class. Basically, D ninja through S ninja." Shiki would pause. Obviously, the kid would know this much by now. 

"But with experience comes a bit of familiarity with training. Something that would take you a lot of time to master would take an S rank ninja just a few moments. So my advice to you? Learn some of the more simple D-rank Jutsu first. When you are more experienced some of those harder Jutsu you are practicing might not take you as much time to train up." Shiki would smile as he ended his conversation. He hoped what he said made some sort of impact on the kids training. 

Either way, Shiki needed to go back to more training. He walked over towards two massive stones that were standing out from the ground in the center of their training grounds. Shiki took his sword and focused exactly how he did on the last time he used this technique. He magnetized the sword and remembered the muscle memory he would need to know in order to make this into a powerful blade of chakra. Shiki took a practice swing. It was time to change things up a bit. 

Shiki readied his stance and took a swing towards the rock. As he did he changed the direction of the blade with a faint twist. The blade of wind soared over the long grass that was in between Shiki and the rock. As it traveled over the grass the plants swayed and were pressed into the ground by the force of the wind. As the wind approached the first rack it worked its way around the rock and passed over it harmlessly.

Fuuton Kaze no Senbon (Needles of the Wind)

Effect: User hurls a mixture of senbon needles in the form of wind to cut into the opponent.

Description: The ninja gathers air with his hands and mixes it with chakra, by doing this he transforms them into sharp and deadly needles. The needles are almost invisible so it is hard for the enemies to see them. This technique may be blocked by large objects, however something small such as a sword, or a staff will allow the needles to seperate still moving towards the object it was originally sent to. Not a powerful technique as the user is capable of hurling up to ten senbon wind needles that gives out minor cuts. However this could be used as a more of a set up technique to allow the user to perform a more dangerous technique.

Limit: Must have the Wind Release

Kaneki listened to Shiki, his advice making sense in his mind. Maybe the Shinobi was focusing on too strong of jutsu right now? He glanced down to his trembling hand and turned from Shiki, pulling his hood back over his head. Kaneki was only a D-rank shinobi, so using C and B-rank jutsu's were putting a strain on his chakra network that he could not continue. Until his chakra was more developed he would have to choose his jutsu wisely. Not only that, training advance jutsu's took much more time and stamina than the others.

He looked to a nearby tree trunk before pulling his jutsu manual from his pocket. He glanced over the D-rank section, seeing if there were any good jutsu he had missed. It took him a moment but eventually he found one that seemed rather interesting. "Wind Re-lease....: Wind Ne- Ne- Ne......" He lingered on the word before rubbing his eyes, trying to clear the haze that always occurred when he tried to read. "Needles!" He spoke the word triumphantly before returning to the technique. "The user fuses his chakra.....with the winds....forming....small......sen-bon....needles." 

In theory it sounded easy enough, forming a ninja tool with the winds was not a new aspect to the shinobi, in fact it was something he was becoming rather good at. Memorizing the handseals, he made his way to a nearby tree, happy that this technique had far lest handseals than the last he attempted. He tossed his book onto the ground before moving into the handseals. Usually Kaneki used himself as a focus point for his chakra to gather around, this time he felt his chakra circling around the target, the dangerously sharp winds beginning to form along with it.

The white winds spun viciously as the shinobi continued to perform the handseals. Once the seals were all complete he forced the winds to sever themselves into small needle-like strips. He held his hand out towards the tree, watching as the Senbon separated from the main winds and sliced into the sides of the wooden target. Only ten of the needles could be sent at a time but Kaneki continued the gale of winds around the tree, his chakra feeling very free as it moved on his command. 

Kaneki decided to try the jutsu one more time, not satisfied with the small cuts that were inflicted by the senbon. He rolled his hands into the movements of the hand seals once more, causing both his chakra and the winds to spike radically. Once he was finished the senbon began to form again, each one being commanded by a splinter of Kaneki's chakra. He held his hand out, closing it into a tight fist, the moment he did the senbon flew once again, slicing into his target with deadly precision.

Releasing the winds around him from his chakra Kaneki took a step towards the tree, examining the trunk closely. The Senbon were effective but they did not have a killing capacity. Though it would still be a good technique to distract or even injure an opponent.

Fuuton: Sakasa Houi no Jutsu (Wind Release: Reverse Direction Technique)

Skill: Ninjutsu, Counter Defense

Effect: Creates a great tunnel of wind which reverses the direction of an oncoming attack.

Special: "Hand Seals"

Drawback: Does not effect Taijutsu or Genjutsu.

Description: By performing the correct hand seals, the user will channel chakra along the lengths of both of his or her arms. Then, when an attack is incoming, the user will extend both of their arms and release the swirling tunnel of wind towards the attack. The wind will envelop the attack and then drag it backwards towards the opposite direction. The reversed attack can only travel for five meters for every rank of the technique that the user has, plus an additional ten meters if the user becomes a Wind Master. Requires the user to have the same rank of this technique as the rank of the technique that is being countered.

Limit: Must have the Wind Release.

Feeling confident in his last Jutsu Kaneki bent down to recover his jutsu manual, as he did a leaf fell from the trees and impacted his nose. When he looked up he saw that several leaves were falling from the tree, causing him to form a tiger seal before stretching his hand out, a gust of wind flew from his palm, sending the leave's spiraling back into the tree. 

With the nuisance of falling leaves dealt with Kaneki bent down to recover his training manual once more, this time a revelation coming to him. "If my winds were faster....I could do that with weapons..." The Shinobi smirked softly before taking his jutsu manual and flipping through it. "I know I saw it in here...." Finally landing on the proper page he looked to the jutsu he was thinking of. "Reverse direction technique...." Barely stuttering with the word, Kaneki was proud to see his reading was going smoother.

He began to walk toward's the tree's that were steadily dropping leaves, the technique seemed simple enough but he knew where there could be complications. Individual attacks would be easy enough, but several attacks would be a pain. Harnessing the winds to collectively move something like that would be a difficult task, but trying to individually negotiate the attacks with separate winds could end in a slip up, which is fatal in the shinobi world. He looked up to the leaves and exhaled, this technique was simple but it had a lot of room for error.

He realized that kunai and senbon would be much harder to redirect, things that cut the wind are more likely to muscle through his technique if he does not use the right amount of power. In the same regard if he uses too much power he risks throwing the weapons off course or disrupting their rotation and rendering them useless as a counter attack. Closing his book Kaneki knew he needed to begin training, sitting there thinking about it would get nothing accomplished.

Kaneki looked to the leaves that fell on him as he formed the necessary handseals for the jutsu. He could feel his chakra rising to the surface, prepared to release from him for his next jutsu. It was a comforting feeling, almost a feeling of power that helped to motivate him in his training. The Shinobi shot his arms forward, watching as his chakra exploded from his palms, wrapping around the winds and darting for the cluster of leaves. Each of the leaves was caught inside the array of winds that Kaneki sent towards the sky. 

A smile came over his face as he watched the leaves, once again, return to the base of the tree. He rolled his neck around before placing a hand on his waist. He knew this technique would vary depending on the level of jutsu that was used against him. He looked back to his jutsu manual, it confirmed the ideal that he just had, stating the more powerful the jutsu the more powerful winds would be needed to repel it.
