After leaving the Raikage's tower Kazuto had some hours to kill before the shop closed and he was to guard it. He spent the time at his leisure roaming around the village constantly ogling women and offering them his services of love while promptly being denied and stomped to the ground each time. The poor guy just doesn't learn that he is a douche bag and women don't go for that. Night fell finally and the Uchiha made his way over to the shop. It was the village's grocery store. The ONLY one in the entire damn city. Before it closed for the day he decided that this would be a good opportunity to try the special. Sky Bison meat with flying lemur broth ramen. It was rich and creamy but had a game-ish flavor. 

He devoured it and listened in and looked around to the customers to see if he could pick up anything that sounded suspicious. Nothing. This wasn't unusual but it was never a bad idea to lurk and learn, it could save lives sometimes. The shop closed thirty minutes later and Kazuto decided that before it closed that it would be a good idea to sit on the roof, this way he could get a good vantage point on the shop and the surroundings. The building itself was huge, more like a mall than a grocery store even. Inside it had a huge food market, a seperate fish market and even a place to buy ninja items such as kunai and exploding tags. 

The ninja supplies is what calls for a guard each night. Thieves would sneak in and try and steal items to help them on missions. The first hour of watch was as expected, quiet. The village had gone to sleep and the usual hustle and bustle was replaced with sounds of cicada and crickets chirping in the midst. Kazuto actually got some nice relaxing vibes off of it. Hopefully this mission would go without hitch. Still, that was usually never a case when ninjas are present in any location. Twirling his fan in between his fingers, Kazuto shifted his eyes to the left after hearing a small shuffle.

It was just a squirrel bat. Or was it? The Uchiha stood up in a crouched position and moved closer to the winged bat face squirrel. On it's back was an exploding tag. IT WAS ON FIRE!? Kazuto quickly did 4 seals in that second and when the explosion went off a potted plant took the damage in his place. He couldn't save the bat unfortunately. This means there was an attack. He hid himself well where the potted plant was, it was gathered with 5 others covering him perfectly. Another few seals and a copied version of himself was replicated and walked four meters forward. Looking around, it was a bait tactic. From the left of the clone a kunai darted at it and took it out. In an instant Kazuto darted out from his hiding spot and swung his fan. 

An inferno of heat spun towards the direction of where the kunai went. A lone figure flipped out from behind a metal electrical box dodging the blaze. He was flung violently to the side when the heat blew up the contraption though. Kazuto neared the opponent at full speed but when he got close the enemy would shunshin away. Kazuto sucked his teeth in anger because he was to guard, not pursue. After remembering the thought he gasped. "INSIDE!" Maybe there were two?!

Description: A huge grocery shop called ‘Kumo Orange’ has a recent drop in active guards and needs a few shinobis to fulfill the task. Your job is to guard the shop, and don’t let anyone steal or destroy anything. Kumo Orange is located within areas of Kumogakure which are prone to crime and violence. If anything bad happens at your shift, the mission is failed.
Objective: May be done one time.
Make sure nobody steal or destroys anything in the shop for the day.
Personnel requirements: 2-3 Genin, 1 Chuunin or 1 Chuunin and 1 Genin. Preferably a taijutsu specialist or master.
Reward: 9,000 ryo (7,500 ryo for a non-nin).

A worried Kazuto back flipped off the building and dropped to the first floor. Dashing into the area he quietly staged behind a table. He was hearing noises in the room with the weapons. Looking over carefully there he was. The accomplice. The crimson optics and a twisted smile overtook his face. He put on his mask and dash by dash made his way closer trying his best to conceal his presence. The other ninja should be close by too. He needed to apprehend or kill this guy fast. His fan was strapped to his back again, the crossbows he owned being attached to his waist via 2 holsters. Pulling one of those out he shot a quick bolt at the ninja.

The ninja didn't see it coming and was hit in the leg by the bolt. A small shout of pain from him and an instant dash backward behind cover. Kazuto could not afford to damage the place so he hopped on top of the table. The sharingan felt something, a kunai was coming. The man jolted upward with worried eyes and kunai in hand towards him. The Uchiha quickly grasped his wrist and used his inertia to pull the man towards him poking him in the stomach with the crossbow in the other hand. 

"Drop it."

He didn't. A hidden arm came from the man behind his back. Presumably a puppet of some sort. It was too late though. This unknown ninja was taken out by a bolt through his heart. A cough of blood gushed out his mouth and onto Kazuto's shoulder. "Damn, I just cleaned this." Being a ninja for a while has made Kazuto cold towards death. Even friends or family dying doesn't affect him as much as other people. He's seen a lot of it in his time as an Uchiha. This wasn't done though. Kazuto hid the body and quickly covered the blood. This was to not alert the other ninja as to his accomplice being dead.

The next room over was clean. Nothing was in it and the nerves made Kazuto shudder. Shifty eyed and sharingan still active, he roamed inside carefully. Each step was carefully considered. A noise. The sound made Kazuto jump back and wield his crossbows, not just one. The ninja he had been aware of that had been concussed earlier was missing the head wrap he was wearing. It revealed a sand headband. These two were sand ninja. No. The slit through the symbol meant they were rogue. How did they get in the village? There is a series of tunnels that should stop them? A traitor? Maybe. 

"How did you get in here?"

The question bounced off. The sand rogue rushed him and from his left came another figure. The Sharingan picked up a light chakra trail. It was another puppet. He had to act fast. Aim the puppet or the ninja controlling it? The answer seemed obvious, the puppet couldn't act without the ninja. Two shots. They rang out of his crossbow guns and rapid speed. One grazed the ninjas faced while the other missed completely. 

This was gonna be a tougher fight.

The ninjas squared up. The arrows hitting the ninja before him actually halted the puppets attack. This was perfect. He shot two more, this time making sure to gauge the movements the opponent was making with his sharingan to get some easy hits. Two more bolts hit his legs. The puppet wasn't stopped this time. A smile overtook Kazuto's face and when the blade from the puppet struck him a puff of smoke replaced where he was. A small lamp in it's place. Behind the puppeteer was Naota who had shunshin'd from the spot he replaced to.

"Give up. Your comrade is dead too."

The words struck him with surprise. He put his hands up. Kazuto didn't buy it and shot him in the back of his head putting him out instantly. The Uchiha sighed, why do they keep doing this? He could see chakra. The puppet was still attached and even moving slowly. He should have just given up. That was it. The two ninjas presumed to be the culprits were dead. Kazuto when outside and flagged two Anbu down who were patrolling and alerted them of the issue. They thanked him, took the bodies and left. The Uchiha finished up the rest of the night with little problem. He even cleaned up the mess he made inside. Nothing was stolen or damaged, bar a lone electrical box. That didn't cause harm to anything in the shop directly, just a few lights outside.

The morning came and the owners greeted him. He was sitting in a chair drinking some power-ade in front of the entrance. The married couple thanked him for his services and wrote a slip of mission approval after checking on the store. With this Kazuto bowed and headed to the ramen shop within and ate another bowl of that really dank soup.

After the meal he went to the tower.
