Tetsu felt a bit heart broken as he sat there next to flowerbeds, looking into the windows as he thought about looking into Gosei's mansion, wondering if Claire was looking back. He felt quite blue and alone as he admired a lovely blue flower that seemed to sitting in some silty soil. This type of soil was best suited for coastal plants, which Tetsu was familiar with for sure. He carefully took out his knife and inspected the plant's roots, that might be the only valuable part of the plant. He repressed some of his sadder thoughts as he tried to distract himself from the thoughts as he carefully pulled up a few roots to see how fragile they were. They certainly didn't like being uprooted so abruptly. He wondered if there was a way to work the roots out of the ground without tearing them up and damaging the yield. He thought for a moment before realizing that he might be able to run some water down into the soil to help loosen up the soil.
He took one of the watering cans and dipped it into the fountain, peevishly taking some water as he made his way back to the plant he was attempting to cultivate. He was gonna be as casual about the extraction of the plant as he could. He hummed a little tune in his head he carefully ran the water over the soil, letting it displace some of the roots as he took his knife and used it like a spade, rather than how the tool was traditionally used. It was a cautious task that he took great care in preforming. He was an expert at this point when it came to taking care of this plant. He slowly pulled the plant out as he dug out the roots, preserving the important part of the plant. This was mostly the skill of taking the most valuable parts of the plant and extracting them safely. He didn't notice any thorns, but he wanted to be careful regardless. He put the the plant aside and carefully took a paper towel, dampening it and wrapping the roots up so that the plant would survive being taken out. This would ensure the freshness of the plant itself.
