Personality:
Terra doesn't trust easily after the cruel horrors that she and her once family had faced. Between shady deals that got her family and friends ripped off during shows and the raiders attack few have proven trust worthy. It is a dog eat dog kind of world in her view. So she acts as such looking out for herself first and all others second. But she isn't unkind about it for honey gets more than vinegar.
Terra uses her appearance as a weapon of manipulation. She has a bewitching voice and eyes that can ensnare the unsuspecting. This is how she gets her way by guile and manipulation. For the world only works for those that make it work for themselves. She is technically good hearted for she would help those in need around her as long as it doesn't hurt her in the process.
Terra can be volatile sometimes though. Her long suppression of trauma has made it where when her temper goes it goes off spectacularly. She is usually very calm and collected kind of person but at times her emotions get the better of her. At these times she is more dangerous than most other times. She would reach deep into herself and pull from a well of suppressed anger and unleash on the poor person in front of her.
Terra is sometimes a wild cat in her behavior as social mores of society were never taught to her. She always lived on the road or out and about, so it was those rules of behavior that she took in. And little rules ever stuck with her, the only golden rule was only take what is yours. She kind of lives like this even after she had moved into a hidden village. It makes sense for her to follow the rules then she will but if she disagrees with the rules she will do what she thinks is right.
Terra sees herself as just an average nomad before the raiders had killed her family. Afterwards she has had a spark of aggression that had never quite be quenched. those that kill and plunder for profit along have a special place for her. And it's not a good place either. She has a strong will to purge the land of the locust of humanity and make it good again. Those that prey on the weak for power's sake have forfeited their right to live.
Appearance:
Born excessively small, she was always picked upon. As a full adult she is as small as a child but definitely is proportion like an adult. With an athletic build and physique it is sometimes hard to confuse her with a child. And she was shapely for a woman of her age but not overly so. She was very well attractive even if she was very short. She knew her shortness had some downfalls and was working on compensating.
Her Skin is a golden baked brown from years in the desert. It has the tinged of constantly being tan. Her hair is long straight black hair that is sometimes put up into various hairstyles depending on her whim. Usually it is whatever takes least maintenance to handle but occasionally she likes it up in a strict bun held up by two senbon. Other styles are occasionally used like various braids and ponytails. Almost hidden in her hair was two small horns, to her they are natural.
Her current fashion for clothing if you can call it that leaves little to the imagination. She just wears a short skirt that doesn't interfere with her kicks and capoeira training and a vest. She generally wears the vest unzipped and open, it really is less there for fashion than for ease of pockets to get certain items. Despite not being raise in the city she is a very un-shy person in the fact she feels no need to cover up for city sensibilities.
Terra's constant practice and need for improvement to protect those unlike how she was protected gives her a very athletic outlook. She is extremely flexible and able to move around generally unheeded. She wears basic slips of open toe shoes in general. The only time she covers up is to protect her skin from certain desert hazards. But generally that hampers her movements to much to bother.
Terra is a fully developed woman in her physical build so it is only when she covers up and changes her hair around can she really be confused for a child. She rarely wants to be confused as a child hence her adult wear. It makes things simpler all around for her. Plus the distraction factor in some encounters is a nice bonus she likes. She isn't completely driven off from people just not likely to trust easily.
Background:
Terra was raised by desert nomads. For years she traveled with her family among the wastes of the desert land of Kaze no Kuni. But one day her nomad caravan was attacked by raiders. These terrible and desperate men killed anyone looking like they could give them a fight. Then they packed up all the women and children they thought could be sold as slaves. Everything else was either taken to be sold as well or was destroyed to hide the evidence of the attack.
Terra was among the children at this point even though she was much older. The stupid raiders assumed her small stature meant that she was a child and defenseless. But for years she had been learning acrobatics and fighting from her family for they performed shows for trade of food and water. Her nomadic family had never been rich though. These raiders made good on getting away hauling all they had stolen as quickly as they could to their camp.
Here they abused the women and used the children for slave labor until they died from the abuse. One by one her family and friends died from the rough and abusive treatment they got from this gang of raiders. They were fed scraps from whatever was left after the raiders had gotten another haul. After each raid these men would attempt they crueler and crueler in their treatment of their prisoners. Occasionally they would bring in more prisoners but that was rare.
One night when the raiders sure of their get away drank themselves into a stupor partying their success, she slipped out of the cage meant for children. That night she stalked the camp killing the raiders one by one with a small knife she palmed from their supplies. By the nights end their wasn't a single living person in the camp. She exacted terrible revenge on those that killed her family and tortured her people.
It was this short but bloodied woman who came wondering out of the desert. She eventually stumbled into the hidden village of the sand. She was taken in by a shinobi family who took her to the hospital for shock and treatment. Little by little her story came out, when the shinobi checked where she had come from they found a massacre at the site she killed the raiders. Later after she had recovered she joined the shinobi academy to make sure none suffer like she had. She would become a demon of vengeance for those that can't defend themselves.
