A hearty feel began to engulf the surrounding area, as the scent of smoke and burning timber filled the air. Relaxing both the owner and his canine after the intense interaction they had just went through. After taking a few deep breaths, Remus began to set up a spit roast with some of the larger and tougher branches that he had collected. He was planning on mounting the deer onto it and letting slowly cook. It did not take long for the set up to be complete. However a problem did arise when the boy made his way towards the carcass, that laid their lifeless. About to become somebodies dinner.
The body was too big and heavy for the wood. It would snap it clean in half. The boy would have to cut the torso in half and cook both parts separately. This was not going to be pretty and both participants knew it. However Yuki was an animal after all herself, so this wasn’t going to bother her as much as the male that now kneeled beside her. His physique looming over the inanimate corpse. “Don’t forget to remove the parts like the hood, that we won’t eat” the canine reminded the male as he gripped his kunai so hard that his knuckles had transformed into a pale white.
To prevent hesitation, he violently brought his arm down. The sharp blade smoothly injected into the base of the neck. A handful of blood splattered onto the boy’s face. As if the deer still had a defensive mechanism that was still active to scare away predators. The unexpected response of the corpse knocked the male back. A look of shock cemented onto his face. He tried to compose himself as he watched the thick red liquid flow down the furry neck of the deer. Remus gulped down a large amount of saliva as he pushed himself back onto his feet.
