'Kami...this is something I never thought I had to do' realized the female as she walked around in the large supermarket. She was still in her black-haired disguise with icy green eyes. It was quite ironic that a kuinochi had to go undercover for basic things like grocery shopping.
'So much for being the Raikage' thought Marii as she picked up some cat food for Shiori. She laid it in her trolley soon afterwards.

'Let's see. What's next on the list?' thought the young woman as she rounded a corner. Her trolley suddenly crashed into something - or someone.
"Kami, I'm so sorry! I didn't see where I was going" told the Raikage in a slightly surprised voice.

Description: The second stage of the Kazeraikou doujutsu forces a temporary change of the user's eyes. The iris and pupil of the eye become one and change to a color decided at the first awakening depending on their mood. The color is like a cloud and swirls around the user's eye when looking around. Small lines of white will flash across the eyes like lightning bolts and continually do so as long as the eye is active. Also a slight glow of the eyes illuminate in the dark at this point. With the second stage of the ryuugan doujutsu unleashed, it allows the user to see the elements of lightning, air and water up to one's viewing parameters. One's natural sight is also enhanced giving the capability of 4 x zoom capabilities. The user sees the elements as three new, vibrant, and opaque colors that mesh perfectly with their normal vision, giving the user the ability to see the three elements without hindering their normal vision in the slightest. Of course normal vision can hinder this special sight, as the user cannot see through walls or other things as normal.
Limit: Must be a Kazeraikou. Must have raiton, fuuton and suiton releases. Must have chibi ryuugan.

Description: Through learning the final stage of the Ryuugan the user becomes capable of changing the eye itself. Making new markings appear in it or changing the actual color of it itself. In doing so the user must pay an “E” rank amount of chakra a turn that this stays active. Conventional effects are like changing the color red so the illumination jutsu gives off a red light, or even a black one. CANNOT MAKE THE EYE LOOK LIKE ANY OTHER BLOODLIMITS EYE.
Limit: O-dai ryuugan. Must be Kazeraikou.

Kimi was out shopping for his Aunt and Uncle he didn't mind that in the least. It was more time out of the house and something to do to be useful. He tried his best to be useful to them. They had taken on a burden by taking him in. Especially since he was from from the Konoha and not this village from birth. He had tried to fit in here but soon realized that he had to be himself even if that meant sticking out.

He was so lost in thought he didn't notice the shopping cart coming right at him. At least until it hit him, as it did he pushed off of it with his hands and feet. Landing 2 feet away from the cart and looking intently with his active eyes at the person pushing the cart.

He heard her apologize and looked slightly taken back by it. "It's ok Ma'am, I am perfectly fine. It was my fault I was lost in thought and not paying attention." Kimi tried to look like he was sorry. Then as he finished speaking he tried a nice friendly smile.

The person she had collided with appeared to be a boy on her size. But his age was probably half of hers at the most. The kid had red hair as well as green eyes that were...oddly familiar.
"It's ok Ma'am, I am perfectly fine. It was my fault I was lost in thought and not paying attention." told the redhead in a polite voice. He even put on a nice smile to match his voice.

"Er - that's good. Let me help you pick up the items in your trolley. Mine is fine" assured Marii.
She parked her trolley next to an aisle before she started picking up the items. Her eyes looked into his for a moment.

'NO....' realized the young woman when a memory hit her like a ton of bricks. His eyes were nearly identical to the ones Shigure had!
'He does have the colouring to match a Kazeraikou person. But it's different from the one my family has' noticed the Raikage.

A majority of her family had blue eyes that ranged from ice blue to cobalt blue. Those with red hair had a lighter complexion than the kid had. Not to mention that they had blue eyes instead of green ones.
'I wonder if he's realized it too' observed the female. More importantly - why had she not met him until now?

He had had milk,cheese, orange juice, chicken, vegitables, and other things like that. Not your typical fare for a 12 year old boy. It would be clear that he is shopping for his family. He was lucky when his cart tipped over that none the items had broken open. They were quickly able to put all the items away without undue hassle.

"Thank for the help, my name is Kimimaru." Again he smiled at her and offered his hand. It was then that the nagging suspicion he since seeing her resolved in his head. She had familiar eyes, they looked like the eyes of the clan just slightly different. This woman that he had ran into had to be of his clan, that would explain a lot.

"You wouldn't happen to be a Kazeraikou would you ma'am?"

The female glanced at the items that had fallen out of the cart. There was a bottle of milk, a chunk of cheese, a carton of orange juice, three bags with vegetables plus the toilet paper rolls she had just picked up.
There was no things like candy, comics, soda or other items a typical child or teenager would buy. "Thanks for the help. My name is Kimimaru" told the male in the same polite smile as earlier.

"You're welcome" replied Marii in a voice she hoped was not too impolite. She noticed that he was looking at her with a curious glance. 'Does he recognize me?' thought the young woman while she laid the toilet paper in the cart.
"You wouldn't happen to be a Kazeraikou, would you ma'am?" inquired Kimimaru. She turned her head to look at him.

"I am. I assume you're a Kazeraikou as well.
My name is Marii by the way. It's nice to meet you Kimimaru-san" greeted the Raikage. She gave him a small bow while holding on to her trolley.

"No offense, but I can't remember I've met you earlier. Are you a shinobi by the way?" asked the female in a polite voice. She had a curious look in her seafoam green eyes that was 100% genuine.
Being a Raikage meant that she had to welcome new shinobis. Especially those from the same clan as herself.

"Marii? As in the Raikage? Oh Ma'am doubly excuse me for not paying attention. But yes I am a Kazeraikou and I am a Shinobi, I recently have graduated from the academy. I don't think we have met before this at all. I cam to this village at the age of eight."

Kimi's smile turned a little frail. It was hard for him too keep up his polite facade. He had just ran into the Raikage, she was shopping and in disguise. He may have ruined her outing. Which made it harder to seem polite more of panic was settling in. Not out right panic but more of the social awkwardness that can case panic.

He finished his last few sentences in a fast pace vomit of words. He was still shocked and trying to recover. He had just met the Raikage, but more importantly he had just met the Clan Leader! He was trying to figure out what to do or say at this point. His face just turned a bright shade of Crimson, his eyes clouded over with emotion.

[Marii K. Kazeraikou]

"Marii? As in the Raikage? Oh Ma'am doubly excuse me for not paying attention. But yes I am a Kazeraikou and I am a shinobi.
I recently have graduated from the academy. I don't think we have met before this at all. I came to this village at the age of eight." ranted the male.

His face was the same shade as the tomatoes in her trolley while his eyes were clouded with emotion. "Sshh. Yes, I am the Raikage" replied the female with a reassuring voice.
"Please keep it down a little. I don't want to be hunted down or ruin your shopping trip" muttered Marii.

Her memory then picked up on something. "Wait - you said you came to Kumogakure when you were eight. May I ask where you used to live prior to that?" inquired the young woman.
She kept her voice calm as a family of four walked by. The father was carrying a baby boy while a small girl walked next to the mother.

A smile crept up on her face. The image of the family reminded her a bit of how her family had used to be. The only exception was that there might have been a boy in the middle at some point.
'I bet his parents sent him to do the shopping while they're on a mission. He's old enough to stay home alone during daytime' noticed the Raikage.

"I was originally from the Konoha. Due to issues with my parents I now live here with my Aunt and Uncle. Sorry I will strive to keep better control of myself. My Aunt needed to go to the store so I offered to go for her. I like to make myself useful, they did take me in when I had no where to go."

There was a clear change in the emotions playing across his eyes. His color returned to normal as he regained control over himself. After his face returned to its natural color his eyes were polite again. He had complete control of his emotions again. It was shocking to see in one so young.

Maybe a bit disconcerting to be honest. Most people that had that type of control were dangerous. It was one of the things his family in Konoha was worried about and why they sent him to the cloud. They didn't want to be right and if they were they didn't want him anywhere near them. But Kimi was only controlling his emotions out of his own person survival instincts.

"I was originally from the Konoha. Due to issues with my parents, I now live here with my aunt and uncle. Sorry, I will strive to keep better control of myself.
My aunt needed to go to the store so I offered to go for her. I like to make myself useful, they did take me in when I had no where to go." told the male.

The female felt a small lump in her throat. Moving to a new village was hard enough on its own. But having family issues thrown into the mix made matters harder.
She noticed that his forest green eyes were back to normal again. Marii felt a shiver run down her spine.

'It's not normal for a kid at such a young age to have such control of their feelings. Is he scared because he's talking to an authority figure?
Or can it be that it's a survival instinct of some sort? He did say he had troubles at home after all. Maybe they didn't teach him how to control his bloodlimit properly' recalled the young woman.

"Kimimaru-kun...how much of your heritage have you managed to awake? Have you learned any techniques beside this one?" inquired the Raikage while pointing at her gleaming eyes. She tried to keep her voice low as they walked down the aisle.
The duo looked quite normal from a distance. They could have been cousins or even aunt and nephew.

'I don't think he's more than 12-13 years old. But he definitely has the Kazeraikou traits' noticed the female. She suspected that his deep red hair was not a result of the hairdye on the shelves next to them.
His feet were a bit longer compared to others at his age. Then again, the feet were the first thing to grow once boys hit puberty.

A look akin to sadness crosses Kimi's. His eyes seem to deepen as sense askes her question. He is lost in thought of his Aunt and Uncle who have offered to help him train. To the night his eyes first awoke, the anger and will power he had to no longer take it. All of that flashed across his mind and no played across his face.

Kimi took a deep breath and regained control of himself. "Ma'am I want to apologize for what you just saw. This is the second time since meeting that I have not controlled my emotions properly. Overly emotional response get people hurt if not killed. But as to your question no I have only figured out the first part of our eyes."

The abrupt switch back to her question came out of the blue. The emotions that had shown on his face and in his eyes were no stronger than average emotions. At least the surface emotions were that way, though the emotions brought up by certain memories are quite strong. It was clear that Jace thought the emotions he had shown was overy emotional. But to most people those would be everyday normal emotions.

[Marii K. Kazeraikou]

The boy took a deep breath. "Ma'am I want to apologize for what you just saw. This is the second time since meeting that I have not controlled my emotions properly.
Overly emotional response get people hurt if not killed. But as to your question no I have only figured out the first part of our eyes." replied Kimimaru.

What he said about emotional responses made the female slightly worried. She had thankfully not witnessed or experienced many of those things. Marii noticed there was a tinge of sadness in his eyes.
'Has he experienced some sort of emotional trauma? That may explain why he has troubles with his ryuugan' thought the young woman.

They had reached an aisle with toiletry products. "I'm not sure what people have told you about our clan. Wait here for a second" told the Raikage.
She went over to an aisle and picked up a scented candle that smelled of lily of the valley. The female made sure to cover the lily on the glass with her hand.

"Smell this and tell me what you think it is" said the brunette while she held the candle towards the boy. His ryuugan would make it easier for him to pick up the scent as well as identifying it.
'A Kazeraikou that doesn't know about the hypersensitivity will have a hard time using it in battle. At least that's what my aunt told me' remembered the young woman.

Kimi watched as she picked up a candle. She was very careful to hide the label and the area she got it from. So he was to identify this candle with just smell alone? Was that possible for him or his clan? It had to be, she is the Raikage and the Clan Leader.

She wouldn't ask him to do something that was impossible would she? No Kimi didn't think so, it would not make sense to do that. She had clearly took an interest in him just now. So she would not do that just to set him up to fail would she? She might if she considered him to be an outsider like those at her tower did.

But was she like that? Kimi didn't know at all, should he give her a chance to prove herself? She was the Raikage and his Clan Leader, so he had to give her a chance. With that settled Kimi closed his eyes and focused his nose toward the jar. He had felt a few different things over the years connected to his bloodlimit.

He had seen Lightning, Water, and Wind chakra. He had felt a connection to the gadgets and technology around him. He even had an affinity for Lightning. But he had never tried to focus just one sense with his Bloodlimit before. It was a strain and it was confusing to Kimi. But he finally picked up hints of a flower and of open air. Clean air you only get in a valley filled with planets and animals. Fed by a water source clean and clear.

He didn't know the smell exactly but he knew where the smells took his mind to. "I don't know the name, but I can picture where the smell comes from. Clean open air from a protected place, like a valley. Fed by plenty of sunlight and clear clean fresh water. Some kind of Flower that grow strong by a fresh water source." Kimi opened his eyes as if coming out of a trance.

The male sniffed at the candle that she held in front of him. "I don't know the name, but I can picture where the smell comes from. Clean open air from a protected place, like a valley. Fed by plenty of sunlight and clear clean fresh water. Some kind of flower that grow strong by a fresh water source." told Kimimaru.

"You're right. This is a candle that is supposed to smell like lily of the valley" revealed the female as she adjusted her hand. The boy was able to see the flower at the candle now.
"It smells quite good. I think I'll buy this" told Marii as she laid the candle into her trolley.

"You see, the ryuugan makes our senses more sensitive. This is not just limited to the vision. We can identify smells easier like you just did.
A ryuugan user can tell one sound from another and be more sensitive to temperature changes too" informed the young woman while looking at the Genin. Her voice was rather calm since this was new information to him.

"The downside of this is that we literally feel everything stronger. A person talking in a sharp voice for instance would sound like a tyrant. Loud sounds like an alarm becomes even more amplified. Not to mention that the cold of a hyouton jutsu gets even more unbearable..." muttered the Raikage as she walked down towards the soda section.
She picked up a bottle of diet lemon soda from one of the shelves. It was one of her favourite soft drinks.

"But this can be very useful in battle or self-defense situations. You're able to see things far away, smell a gas that is flammable or hear noises that can reveal an enemy. So don't blame yourself for not being able to control your emotions. It's very hard when your senses are basically amplified with chakra" told the female. Her seafoam green eyes were looking straight into his forest green ones, waiting for a reply.

Kimi had never given that much thought. He had assumed that everyone took in as much information as he did. It made since now that she explained it. He had always had much keener senses Than most people his age. Sometimes he could sense other people's emotions to, this had allowed him to survive his mother's wraith.

He could read her anger. She how her muscles bunched and twisted. Smell her anger on the air, it was that strong. Those senses had grown and grown until his eyes woke. When they did it was like seeing the world for the first time.

It had been very disorienting, so much that Kimi had almost backed did own from her. Kimi shook his head to clear his mind of those memories. "I had never realized that it was thanks to the power of our Blood that made my senses so strong. I had noticed my senses getting stronger and stronger as it lead up to my awaking. But never put two and two together, I must be far behind the rest of the clan."

Kimi seemed distraught by the thought of being so far behind. It was clear that he wanted to be needed by the clan or the village. It would not take a mind reader to sense that. It was written clear on his face.

The younger male shook his head in slight distress. "I had never realized that it was thanks to the power of our blood that made my senses so strong. I had noticed my senses getting stronger and stronger as it lead up to my awaking.
But never put two and two together, I must be far behind the rest of the clan." told Kimimaru.

'Kami. I'm glad I'm not in his shoes right now' thought the female. She had awakened the second stage when she was 11, which was probably younger than he was. Marii realized that he may have an extra disadvantage as well.
'What if his aunt and uncle does not have the ryuugan? That could explain why he has only awakened the first stage' thought the young woman.

She took a somewhat deep breath to calm herself down. The Raikage knew how lucky she was as far as family was concerned. Most of her extended family were still alive, they supported each other while the - ahem - domestics rate were nearly zero.
"Listen Kimimaru-kun...our clan originated in Kumogakure no Sato. You're actually home now in theory" told the female in a low voice.

Her seafoam green eyes were looking into his. There was a connection between them that went beyond their bloodlimit. "If you are interested, I can teach you about our clan as well as our bloodlimit.
I teach at the knowledge center once a week. I will try to teach you some jutsus or give you a scroll if you want to learn them yourself" suggested the inky-haired woman.

They were reaching the vegetable section. The young woman glanced down at her shopping list. A small pang hit her stomach when she realized how privileged she was compared to him.
'I wonder what happened in Konohagakure no Sato that made him move here. Especially since they have a strong Kazeraikou branch there' recalled Marii.

[Therakill]

"Ma'am it would be an honor to have you take an interest in me. Though I don't know why you would want to take an interest in an Outsider!" He the last part with a bitter over tone. It was clear that he still felt like an outsider here in the village.

He had not been treated very kindly here by most of the village. His time at the academy had always been treated as an outsider. With the exception of Shiri who was long dead now. Or at least he assumed she was long dead. He had no proof of her death other than her no longer being in the village.

[Marii K. Kazeraikou]

"Ma'am it would be an honor to have you take an interest in me. Though I don't know why you would want to take an interest in an outsider!" exclaimed the boy. The last word in his reply was so bitter that it made the female wince.
'Kami...no wonder that this boy is so insecure. He's probably never felt like home here' realized Marii.

She took a deep breath while she tried to think of a good reply. Her thin hands picked up a cucumber plus a plastic box with mushrooms (not THOSE kind of mushrooms!). Her eyes then glanced at Kimimaru.
"You're not technically an outsider. The bloodlimit you have originated here after all" started the young woman.

"It's not only your bloodlimit that makes me take interest in you. You're a shinobi who has potential, but you need to unlock it. I would like to help you with that if you want me to" told the Raikage in an earnest voice.
"Do you need any vegetables by the way? If not, we can go to the cash register" said the female in a less serious voice.

She hoped that her guidance could give this Kazeraikou some understanding of where he was coming from. That would hopefully give the boy the stability and strength he needed for the future. 'I think he feels torn between two camps.
He's spent most of his life in Konohagakure no Sato yet has a bloodlimit that originated here. I hope he can find a sense of belonging by learning more about his heritage' thought the black-haired woman.

"Ma'am the technically aside, I am viewed as an outsider by most people in the village. There has only been a handful of people who have treated me differently since I came here. One of them is dead, or I assume she is dead. She never came back from her first mission. The others are from the Dojo ran by Shiki. I feel at home there more than I do here in the village. I ,Ean no offense in that to you. But that is how I feel and that is how I am treated."

It took clear effort on Kimi’s part to speak all of this. It was clearly painful but his expression of pain increased ten fold speaking about her. Then he seemed at peace when talking about the Dojo. Though that pain was still there it was eased somewhat by his memories of the Dojo.

He headed toward the cash register. It was clear that he was done with his shopping. He put his basket on the counter and waited for the attendant to check him out. He was thinking long and hard about the Raikage, what she really meant by all this.

A sad look appeared on her face. The female shaked her head as she picked up some tomatoes. She looked at Kimimaru again.
"I am glad that you told me how you felt. I would like to help you if I can. But remember one thing..." told Marii as she went a little closer to the boy.

"Those people treating you that way only see the village you were borne in. This is you new home and you have the same right to live here as anyone else. Especially since we're related by blood.
I'll talk with my people plus your people about some family lessons. I think that will help you feel more at home" informed the young woman in a serious voice.

Even though she was a Kumogakure shinobi, she knew how some of the immigrants were treated. Her mother had told her how people looked at her when she arrived at five months pregnant. Katsugan and Kininata did not have it easy either.
But the inky-haired female was in a position where she could change things for the better. The thought of shinobis being bullied due to their former village made her sick.

"Let's go to the cash register. Please call me senpai* if it's just the two of us" told the female with a smile at her face. She would go straight towards the cash register if the Genin did not need anything.
There were three cash registers there that already had queues in front of them. Marii decided to line up at the left one with her trolley in front of her.


*Senpai = a title used to address someone who's older and/or more experienced in your profession than yourself.

"Hard not to remember that. To most people the village is first and foremost in their minds. To me it's Clan, Dojo, Friends, and then village. I want to be useful and help everyone in this village. So that is why I go on missions within the village. To prove how useful I am."

Again Kimi’s face hardened with bitter memories. He let the attendant take his goods and he paid for them. It wasn't much and his Aunt had given him a lot to pay for it. But as always he would pay what was needed and save the rest. He would give it back to his Aunt and Uncle later.

He never wasted their money, his he would spend on his gear and his gadgets. But he would never spend theirs on his self, it was asking too much of them. Now they never said anything of the like. In fact they would love to give him as much as he wants. But Kimi didn't want them to be any more put out the man they were.
