Description: The shopping district in Enrai is the second most modern part of the city. The district consists of a main street plus a couple streets connecting to the main one. This part of the city has a large shopping centre located at the west end of the main street. Several restaurants can be found at the smaller streets to provide food for the population. A large park with a big pond can be found at the east end of the main street.
This area has a lot of traffic due to all the business going on here. This is the least populated district in Enrai. Unlike the traditional district, the apartment buildings are five or six stories in height. Since the buildings are more modern, they can withstand earthquakes. There are few apartment buildings since they want to make the most out of the amount of shops.

Ryutatsu was dressed in his normal Shinobi fatigues. He wore a shirt and pants combination overlaid with a tactical vest and a leg holster. His five foot four frame and serious expression made him look older than he was. So he appeared to be about twelve. His tactical vest a six tear away pouches that looked identical to each other to an outsider's eyes. But to the Kyoudo's metal sense three were full of metal shavings and dust. That meant anyone who knew Ryu well enough would know the other three was full of Silene Seeds. Those seeds were the secret of the Ikebana Clan and him.
There was a waist pack attached to the tactical vest as well. It bulged with the equipment inside. Ryutatsu's metal sense told him what he packed in each pocket in the waist pack. Inside was places for fifty metallic marbles, sixteen caltrops, twenty pieces of flint, fifteen bo shuriken, and fifteen hira shuriken. The outer edge of this pack was sheath slots for a knife and a Tanto as well as a pair of Kunai. This young man was heavily armed for someone going shopping but maybe there was a reason.
On his back of course was the exquisite piece know as Nightin Gale. The blade has a wide, twisted cross-guard, which makes sure the blade is both balanced and capable of protecting the owner's hands against any sliding sword and is held by a grip wrapped in elegant, black smooth leather. The copper plated scabbard has a beautiful intricate Leaf and flower designed based off of cherry blossom tree and roses. Spirit Amber was set into the piece's hilt along with an skull shape gem on one side.
His primary hand had a weird bracer gauntlet with a surprise for the unknowing. On the crest of his head was a pair of goggles that allowed Ryutatsu see in X-ray vision. He had the right shoes for a long trek on is feet, comfortable and durable. In his pants pockets he had a flashlight pen, a stone of plenty, a pair of Obfuscating Eyes, Eight trackers, and a set of five circular LED flashlights. Worn on his neck was the Wireless radio that Shiki had given him with a wire leading to his ear.
Ryutatsu looked about for anybody else that looked out of place. He knew he looked slightly out of place himself but with the crowds and the armed state of this country being at war he should be good. Then he looked back at Kininata, the Chunnin Amekage that he was with. He didn't know what to think about that but at least the red head looks like to able to take care of their self. That was the most important thing in his mind.
At some point he knew this was going to come to combat and while he was no Shiki he was raised around blades. Thinking of that he smiled, for he had a thought since they were in the shopping district anyways head towards the weapon dealers. "Hey lets head to the weapon shops." His idea was any criminals would want weapons and that would mean either buying, stealing, or making them. And since they are criminals it was likely the middle choice but even if it is the first choice. The market would be the perfect place.
Ryutatsu did admire though how the place looked as they walked down the main street to the shopping center. Every now and then he would see a few flower stalls and other shops down the side streets. That was good for use of his abilities. Speaking of abilities he kept his blood limit sense going on high alert. Even if weapons were hidden he could tell every piece of metal equipment was. That gave him an edge in this super crowded through fair. His senses were tuned to any perceived threat. He was almost hyper vigilant, with using his honed senses to catch danger before it caught him.

While actively using this ability, the user must remain perfectly still, and no other jutsu may be used while the user is attempting to manipulate charges. Only metallic objects or semi-metallic objects can be manipulated. Description: Allows the user to manipulate and control electrostatic, which is by definition electricity at rest. This gives the user the ability to move around both positive and negative charges on objects, which, in the end, can result in the ability to either repel or attract objects to and from each other. It must be noted that this jutsu strictly follows the concept of the Conservation of Charges. That means that without influence, all charges within nature are balanced at zero. Only when acted upon do these charges change. This ability is a requirement for all members of the Kyoudo Clan. When the user first gains this ability, they have only the ability to affect one object at a time within five meters of their person. At maximum, the user may move 10% of an object’s positive or negative charges to another object. While actively using this ability, the user must remain perfectly still, and no other jutsu may be used while the user is attempting to manipulate charges. Due to the relative electrical field produced by every person Kyoudo cannot affect people, and due to the low electronegativity of non-metallic objects, only metallic objects can be affected. It is only through mastery over the element of thunder that one can obtain this ability. Limit: Kyoudo Clan only
Sutatikku Nou (Static Awareness) Rank: B Skill: Ninjutsu Effect: Allows a member of the Kyoudo blood limit to manipulate and control electrostatic charges even out of their range of sight, in their personal static field. Special: - Drawback: One can only use this ability if it is in the range of their own electrostatic field. Only useful if one has trained Kyori Keiko a number of times. However with much training and experience eventually a member of the Kyoudo become so attuned with their static field that they can 'feel' objects around them. All objects in nature carry an electrical charge even if it's at zero. An experienced Kyoudo can sense such things and manipulate them as long as it is within their own static field. This grants the user the ability of complete static awareness in their field. This is directly correlated to the amount of times one has learned Kyori Keiko (Distance Training). Limit: Sutatikku Nagare (Static Current) ability, 500 tp in the Kyoudo clan. Once you have 500 TP of Kyoudo jutsus, this is automatically "learned".
Uncanny Dodge Rank: “B” Skill: Supplementary Effect: The user is no longer be flat-footed. Special: –- Drawback: –- Description: The user can react to danger before their senses would normally allow them to do so. They cannot be caught flat-footed, nor do they lose any Defensive benefits if the attacker is invisible. The user still loses their Defensive benefits if they are immobilized. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: The user learns how to proficiently dodge and evade flying objects as well as oncoming weapons through predicting the attacks. A very useful technique since the Heaven Shapeless: Stance (Single) has no defensive capabilities. The user will stand in one position and learn the minimum amount of movements required to avoid an attack. The bending of the body at a rapid pace is essential to this technique as well as ducking, side-stepping, jumping, and bobbing/weaving. Each rank the user learns the user is capable of effectively knowing how to evade a technique equal in rank. Limit: Must learn from a Master of Tensora (天空 Heavenly Sky), Must know Heaven Shapeless: Stance (Single).
Nameru (To Taste) Rank: E, D, C, B, A, S Skill: Taijutsu Effect: The user, through the sharpening of their five senses and an instinctual knowledge of flow, becomes aware of their surroundings and capable of defending against attacks. Special: -- Drawback: Can only be learned up to your current Character Rank. Description: The user strives to expand their senses, taking in data from all five senses and treating each of them as equally important. Through a combination of peripheral vision, hearing, and measurement of air pressure changes, the user becomes capable of perceiving threats around them and reacting accordingly. At E rank, the user can only perceive such threats as traps or projectiles. However, at the following levels, the user becomes capable of perceiving strikes from a foe of an equal level to the rank they have learned. Therefore, a B rank ninja could strike a C rank user of this technique and the user would not be able to perceive them via this technique and lose the majority of the benefits, though their dodging would benefit from the heightened awareness nonetheless. The user may only learn this technique up to their character’s rank. Thus, a C rank character could only learn up to the C rank version of Nameru. Nameru is limited to threats within twenty meters of the foe, as anything that doesn’t enter that radius is beyond the senses of a human to perceive. A Game Master may roll an Observation skill check for a Character any time there is an NPC, monster, event or happening that a character might notice, even if he did not specifically state that he is monitoring his surroundings. Characters are capable of noticing any event within their perception. Observation reveals only facts, not motivation. [OOC: Sorry for the delay - its been a long few days of heatwaves]
Kininata was adopting a more sedate style of appearance. The leggings and top were simple light brown and beige, the belt cream coloured. The shirt beneath was of a light blue shade, like a summer sky, but otherwise was quite the contrast to his current companion. The tools he wore, though did detract from the plain appearance: kunai slots on either side of the belt; shuriken slots on the wrists and forearm of the top; the sword at his side, his left hand always resting on the sheath next to the guard. The ice gourd was something difficult to keep out of sight, so hung off the bottom of his pack. He didn't where his chuunin jacket - that, along with his traditional garb, had been left on the transport.
The pack contained mainly medical supplies, though it also did have attached the two katana's of his family and his the folded windmill shuriken. Compared to Ryutatsu, he could easily have been viewed as lightly armed and armoured. It was the main weapon of choice he had facilitated and used effectively for many years now - making his opponents underestimate him. His sharp mind was always working out scenarios of encounters, updating every step of the way. It's the main reason he's survived so many assassination attempts and battles with people far above his skill and strength.
Now was was walking into a criminal den with a mystery at his side. His physique and build showed him to be around twelve years old or thereabouts, but he had claimed to be younger. Could be a growth spurt that accelerated his aging - he had seen... similar, examples of this. Then it didn't match his skills with the blade. Kininata was a skilled swordsman - not the best locally, but he would make the best work at it. Ryutatsu had showed skill that could easily match him, and the way he moved and handled it, implied he may be better than himself. A mystery.
And it wasn't his business. End of the day, such curiosities could wait for when they were safe. Here, was not the time to ask - and he wasn't likely to get answers either. He was, after all, the unknown foreigner no one trusted.
When Ryutatsu gave his suggestion about the weapon shop, he could see the strategy - criminals deal in weapons, so they'd be watching the store. Might get a few stragglers to notice them. It only had a couple of flaws.
'We're going to draw alot of attention as a mis-match pair going there. You in particular. I don't suppose you have anything to cover at least some of those weapons?' He asked quietly, his ice blue and jade green eyes glancing over Ryutatsu's appearance briefly before returning to the streets. 'And any store owner isn't really going to have better than what you have already, making it a little suspect - I take it the plan is to stir interest in the gangs and have them "chat with us" about what we have?'
He was hoping that Ryutatsu would see the second issue in his statement and query. He was also keeping his eyes peeled - he had fought alot of these kinds of criminals over the years, and knew what he was looking for as the market place started coming into sight. His left thumb very gently pressed against the guard, ready to quicken his draw when ready.

Ryutatsu shook his head in thought and really thought about it. He looked back at Kininata and spoke. "Let's hit the clothes shop first for a cloak. That should help at least the sticking out part. And as far as having better than Nightin Gale not looking for it. And that wouldn't be what I was looking at. I was planning on asking if hey had a blade to match or tools that could maintain such a blade. That the shop owners should be able to help with and it would look less suspicious. Them 'talking' with us would be good but I was looking more for shipments and maybe finding manifests to trace." Ryutatsu may be a mystery to Kininata but the reverse was true. He was raised in a dojo and practically stayed most of his time in another. So he knew little of the foreigner. Just the fact he had the walk of a swordsman was reassuring. That and the how he came down from the flying machine anyways.

It would not be a lie to say that the shopping district was ready to tackle a new day. Many of the shops were opening or had already been opened. Some carts were driving around with merchandise or food of different sorts. Some of them were smelling quite foul, like the fish. Kininata and Ryutatsu would most likely catch on the tension between the employees.
A medium sized grocery shop had a hole of some sort in its wall. A carpenter plus a roofer were already fixing it. But two male clerks who were putting out promotion posters were looking over their shoulders. They appeared to be scared by something – or someone. But what had scared the two young women in their early twenties who were in good physical shape?
A pair of bakers who were carrying goods inside the bakery had a nervous look at their faces too. This bakery was located straight across the grocery shop. Their building was not damaged, but the male baker had a cast around his right wrist. Which was a bit odd since he was 6’1” with an athletic building from doing manual labour all day round. Had this injury been caused by work or could it be someone else?
Both clerks were talking in low voices while the bakers were rather quiet. Who or what had frightened these four young people this much? It must have been someone or something that were quite strong or had a lot of power. Or knew someone who had it. What would the Kumogakure shinobis do next?
Ryutatsu was talking about how he was looking for manifests and documents that might lead to shipments of weapons and other substances, certainly illegal - but his eyes got distracted. Scared women; injured shop keepers. He had seen the signs before. Racketeers. He made a mental note of the sight, and lowered his voice to ensure that the locals couldn't hear Kininata's words. 'Not bad thinking. On the subject of weapons, where did you get Nightin Gale? It's an impressive, and rare blade. Definitely not something I would be comfortable in wielding at my skill.' He asked with genuine curiosiy and explained his own interest.
His eyes darted the scene, and to Ryutatsu, should his keen eyes catch glimpse, would see Kininata's eye colour shift - they normally held a mix of jade green and icy blue. As Kininata started examining the street, the people, the signs of the criminal groups at work, they shifted entirely to steel blue - yet there were no other signs that anything else about him had changed.
Mentally, Kininata was gauging the market area. The bakers being quiet and meek though still working; the clerks speaking in low voices to try and avoid attention. He glanced at alleys, looking for shadows moving among the paths. Slow scans of the rooftops seeing if they were being observed. All the while his left hand carefully moved to touch one of the throwing weapons on his left wrist - in preparation for retaliation or preemptive action.
'Maybe we should get some groceries. I heard that Enrai have some great fresh vegetables in their market. Then we can get you that cloak, and carry on our way.' His tone was flat, cold, almost devoid of emotion - a shift from how he had been since he had joined the team, even from just moments ago.

Ryutatsu was smiling a little at first at the compliment of his sword. He was very proud of Nightin Gale and for good reason. But the scene around him dampened his spirits as yet another white dot appeared in his emerald eyes. The spinning in his eyes sped up with the anticipation of trouble. Talking low back to Kininata as they headed to the groceries area first. "Nighting Gale is unique as far as I know. It was a gift from a Master Smith to prod me on the way of the forge as well. " That was a very simplified version of the odd history that revolves around mainly Shiki and Loki to which he was a side character of.
He gave Kininata a slow nod and motioned with his head at various things that they both were noticing. Ryutatsu checked his bracer and hidden claw discretely as they walked. Kininatat would notice that his posture was odd for drawing a sword but would be perfet for other blade techniques. Also while they walked he used his heighten sense combined with his metal sense to pinpoint and identify the metal around him and any immeditate danger from that.

((OOC: Please let me know if Ryutatsu is wearing his headband. I'll edit my post accordingly if he is not wearing it))
The older male had been right in his observation. It had been a pair of racketeers that had injured the baker after scaring the women. The baker was busy, but the clerks noticed that it was something odd with the duo. It was not normal for a non-shinobis that older children were carrying swords. Especially such elaborate ones...
Kininata blended in a bit better despite being a tanned redhead. But what they did not know was that the racketeer duo was in a shop further ahead. It was a pair of men that were shopping for clothes. Said store had large glass windows that displayed clothes on mannequins. One of the mannequins were dressed in a coat while another was clad in a gi similar to the one Kininata had.
Said shop was 30 meters ahead on the left side. The street was getting more busy now since people were going to work or school. "Morning kid. Nice sword you got there" greeted a police officer. She was referring to Ryutatsu, unaware of that he was a shinobi.
The woman was polite enough to not stare at his eyes. She had seen a number of shinobis with different bloodlimits. What would the duo do next? The police officer or the clerks could tell them what had happened. On the positive side, the duo would blend in better since there were more people on the street now.

Ryutatsu bowed to the police officer and smiled. "Thank you for the compliment. It was a gift from a friend. " Ryutatsu was doing his best not to appear like a shinobi with his headband tucked into a pocket in his pants. Ryutatsu had noticed as well that he wasn't blending in as well as Shiki thought he would. Luckily the streets were getting busier. But that was a doubled edged sword because tailing was going to be that much harder.
Either way the police officer was in the way. The officer obviously was not very observant if he wasn't noticing the same things they were. Ryutatsu thought it was either that or he was a corrupt officer. A liability right now no matter what. So Ryutatsu nodded his head to the officer ever so slightly to signal Kininata to distract the woman. If and when the officer was distracted he walked towards the shop about fifteen meters like he was interested in the display. If Kininata was done with the officer he would wave over Kininata and point out the coat like they were really there for the shopping they were talking about earlier. He would even go as far as talking about how Kininata would think the coat would fit on him.
Sutatikku Nagare (Static Current) (20 Meters) (25 Rounds) Rank: "C" Skill: Kekkai Genkai Ninjutsu Effect: Allows the user to manipulate electrostatics and electric charges. Special: Rat, Dragon, Ram, Tiger, Monkey, Dog, Horse, Rabbit once per 5 turns. Drawback: Objects must be visible.

Ryutatsu bowed to the police officer and smiled. "Thank you for the compliment. It was a gift from a friend. " Kininata had smiled at the comment, as much as he was at his own concerns being dead on target. 'My nephew here is a fan of all things to do with swords. I suppose that's my fault being a bladesmith, really - he's as much into the art of their creation as he is into learning the use them.' Kininata started, drawing the officer's eyes away from Ryutatsu after catching a glimpse of his signal. HE gave a more sympathetic smile and bow to the officer. 'His father was a shinobi until recently, and and I've retired from that line of work myself - took me away from the forge too often. I'm sort of apprenticing him while he figures out what he wants to do with his life. Believe me it's a struggle to get his mind focused on one thing these days.
He then leaned a little closer. 'The kid has some troubles with staying focused on any one topic. Last night he was all about going for a run in the park. This morning its all about finding a good cloak to look more like his dad. This afternoon, it might be wanting to learn to swim, or forging steel, or even -' He saw Ryutatsu waving him over '- I'm sorry, my nephew needs me to help him out. Have a great day!' He said and then wandered over to the shop.
'Alright kiddo, you found one you like?' He said with a degree of enthusiasm, and leaned in to look at the coat. 'So at least we know we either have blind authorities or on the payroll. Seemed very uninterested in the obvious signs of trouble. Seen any signs of the racketeers?'

"Thank you for the compliment. It was a gift from a friend." replied the boy after he had given the officer a polite bow. "My nephew here is a fan of all things to do with swords. I suppose that's my fault being a bladesmith, really - he's as much into the art of their creation as he is into learning the use them." started the older man. The woman gave him a soft smile in return.
"His father was a shinobi until recently, and and I've retired from that line of work myself - took me away from the forge too often. I'm sort of apprenticing him while he figures out what he wants to do with his life. Believe me it's a struggle to get his mind focused on one thing these days" informed Kininata before he leaned a little closer. The policewoman looked at the duo. The man in front of her was probably in his mid twenties while the smaller guy was probably 12-13 years old.
"The kid has some troubles with staying focused on any one topic. Last night he was all about going for a run in the park. This morning its all about finding a good cloak to look more like his dad. This afternoon, it might be wanting to learn to swim, or forging steel, or even - I'm sorry, my nephew needs me to help him out. Have a great day!" finished the redhead.
"Have a great day you too!" told the female. She smiled as she realized that one of them was a shinobi. The two racketeers had exited the shop with a shopping bag each. The duo went further the street where there was a grocery shop. The distance between the grocery shop and the two Kumogakure shinobis was 25 meters.
"Do you see any weirdos?" muttered one of them. He was about six feet tall with pale skin, dark blue eyes plus ashy blonde hair. The guy was about the same age as the former Amekage was. He was dressed in a simple khaki green turtle neck plus a pair of beige cotton chinos. A pair of combat boots were tied onto his feet.
"Not really...but it's getting crowded now" told his accomplice. He was 5'10" tall with short, auburn hair, milky white skin plus a pair of lime green eyes. His outfit consisted of a dark green winter coat, a mustard yellow turtleneck and a pair of dark gray jeans. His shoes were the same as his friend. The duo slipped on their black beanies in an attempt to keep a low profile.
Both of them looked like they were ordinary young men on a shopping trip. They made sure to stay away from the bakery plus the grocery shop they had robbed last week. The blonde then spotted something a bit out of the ordinary. A kid with white hair plus a man with red hair were looking at clothes about 25 meters away. 'I wonder why that kid is wearing a tactical vest plus a leg holster. OH NO...' realized the man.
He walked into the grocery shop while acting as normal as he could. 'I need to find Arata FAST! The Raikage or the army has gotten the hang of us! But I have no idea how we're going to...wait a minute. I think I have an idea' thought the blonde as he walked towards the alcohol aisle.

Ryutatsu only nodded slightly to the second question of Kininata's as he caught a duo that looked similar in coloring as they did. It was only a momentary recognition as they crossed through his field of awareness. They left as he was arriving it seemed. But as they traveled to their place twenty five meters away from Ryutatsu and Kininata, he used his abilities to slip tracer out of his pocket and down his pant leg.
Ryutatsu then allowed it to travel below the normal eyesight range along the ground like it rolled out of his pocket. It rolled that way quickly to adhere to the boot of the blond haired of the racketeer duo. He did this without directly looking at them using his awareness to do so. It was a challenge of concentration as it was becoming fairly crowded. But once it was attached to the blond one's boot, he was able to relax as the man moved out of his range.
Ryutatsu didn't quite lose them but he was having to observe them while appearing not to do so. It was a blind hope that they would not get counter noticed as he pointed out the coat and acted like kid interested in it. Ryutatsu was very careful in keeping up the false appearances even as his eye dots whirled faster as so did his heartbeat when he noted they had been spotted. The game was afoot now. His sharp senses also picking up a few flowering plants in the grocers and in a nearby flower sales cart.
However, threats are perceivable once they enter that range. Limit: Must learn from a Gintsuki no Seikou Mai Master. Must know Hyouuryuu Yuki (Drifting Snow).
All manipulation of sensed objects is still, of course, limited by the other Kyoudo techniques. Description: Normally one can only use their Sutatikku Nagare ability on objects they can see.
Sutatikku Nagare (Static Current) (20 Meters) (25 Rounds) Rank: "C" Skill: Kekkai Genkai Ninjutsu Effect: Allows the user to manipulate electrostatics and electric charges. Special: Rat, Dragon, Ram, Tiger, Monkey, Dog, Horse, Rabbit once per 5 turns. Drawback: Objects must be visible. It is only through mastery over the element of thunder that one can obtain this ability. Limit: Kyoudo Clan only
Observation SP: 79/125 Rank: "E" Current Rank: Expert (Master) Skill: Skill Effect: This skill focuses certain powers of observation - sight, smell, hearing, and touch. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: Can be learned by an Animal. A failed check indicates that the character is oblivious until the thing is pointed out to him. This skill is important for ferreting out advancing enemies or ambushes, generally real-time events and actions occurring, versus scrutiny, which covers static objects or areas. A Game Master may roll an Observation skill check for a Character any time there is an NPC, monster, event or happening that a character might notice, even if he did not specifically state that he is monitoring his surroundings. Characters are capable of noticing any event within their perception. Observation reveals only facts, not motivation. If user has 25 or more Ranks in Evidence Analysis user gains a Synergy Bonus +10 to Observation. Each time learned user gets 1 die roll to increase the skill. Limit: --- (+20 Alertness) (+20 Keen Eyes) (+5 Tech Path I)

When Ryutatsu nodded to the question, Kininata smiled, gave a little laugh and leaned back. 'No, you can't have a white cloak. Your father would yell at me "why does my son look like a snowman?" No thanks. What about that brown one?' He turned to look at the brown cloak, looking for the figures the young shinobi identified as the racketeers. They weren't easy to see at first with the crowds, but he recognised attempts to keep a low profile - he used to be that bad himself once. He moved to the brown cloak, taking it off the rack and placing it next to Ryutatsu.
'Hmm... maybe something a little darker. That hair has always been an issue with you and clothes, kid.' He said to him, and looked for another cloak in a darker shade. When he looked back, he could still just see the beanies of the two racketeers not far off going into the grocery store. It would soon get hard to follow them if he didn't do something. He leaned in close to his team mate, whispering. 'I'm pretty sure they made us. We'll get this cloak, and then I'll make my way to the store they're in. You take the pursuit role if they run. Pretty sure this isn't going to be a pretty situation.'
Kininata took the darker cloak to the clerk, passing over the Ryo to pay for it. As he walked back over to Ryutatsu to hand it over, he slipped a pair of kunai up his sleeves to be able to grab them fast if something happened. 'Alright kid, I'm gonna grab us something for lunch. I won't be long.' Kininata said, and started to walk to the grocery store, his eyes looking at the stock - his observation skills letting him notice the racketeers without having to directly look at them, making it seem that he wasn't aware of them.
A user with this ability can still lose their Defensive Abilities if an opponent successfully uses a feint attack. If the user already knows Uncanny Dodge from a different source, they may automatically learn Improved Uncanny Dodge. Limit: Must learn from a Master of Busōsen (Arms Flash).
Keen-Eyes Rank: "C" Skill: Supplementary Effect: User has a keen eye for details. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: User gains a +10 bonus to their Observation and Sense Motive Skills. If the user has 50 or more points in one of these skills, the bonus increases to +20 for that skill. Limit: Must learn from Universal Miscellaneous.
Alertness Rank: "C" Skill: Supplementary Effect: User often notices things that others might miss. Ryutatsu had been smart. Using his skills to attach the tracer to the boot was something the racketeers would not suspect. The tracer would attach itself successfully and stay in place for now. The clerk smiled when he handed over the money. To her, they appeared to be a normal uncle-nephew duo on a shopping trip.
She found it a bit odd that the kid was wearing a sword however. Maybe it was dress up day at school or something. The streets were more crowded now compared to an hour ago. People were going to school or work. In addition, lead grey clouds were appearing on the sky.
Before Kininata enters the shop:
The blonde entered the large supermarket. His cobalt blue eyes scanned the aisles. He spotted his red haired companion at the alcohol section, which was far to the right. The entrance was at the left side of the building. The male picked up a metal basket and walked over to the other guy as calm as he could.
"Arata, this isn't good! We have shadows at our tail!" whispered the soldier. The said man raised his eyebrows. "Any masks or high ones Toru?" muttered the redhead while he picked up a bottle of sake. He walked further down the shop with his companion on his tail.
"No - one of them is probably a low one. He was probably half our age. But the other one is at least a middle one. Funny thing is...they kind of looked like us. One had red hair despite having tanned skin" mused Toru.
"How old do you reckon he was?" muttered Arata. "Probably in his mid-twenties" replied the male after some thinking. The duo were now at the very back of the supermarket where the large freezers were. Behind the cashiers were four sections (left to right): sweets, dairy, canned foods and alcohol. At the back were the bakery section, fruits and vegetables, non-alcoholic drinks and two large freezers with frozen food.
The grocery shop was 200 feet long and 150 feet wide. The shop was somewhat crowded since they had been open for almost an hour now. Security cameras were strategically placed all over the shop. A young healthy security guard was placed close to the front where the cashiers were. What kind of move would the shinobi duo make next?
Kininata looked briefly back at Ryutatsu, giving him a nod that he could be trusted, and then entered the store. It was a fairly large one, larger than what he'd been used to in Rain. Still as he looked down to see how the aisles were organised he caught glimpses of the beanies at the back, near the fridges. He didn't want to create a scene - just attempt to get them off guard. He pulled out a blank piece of folded paper from his shirt pocket, looking it up and down, then grabbed a basket.
He started where the canned food was. A couple of tins of Yakitori and smoked salmon, and made a quick pass over to the alcohol to grab a bottle of sake. He'd then move to the back to grab some Hokkaido, some fresh fruit, and then headed near the fridges to get two small milk bottles and some cheese. He turned around to head back to the counter, turning away from the two racketeers, and took his goods over to the counter.
He did get a few looks because of his darker skin and red hair. To anyone really looking at him, he'd make simple small talk about his origin from rain, and that he spent alot of his time in the smithy giving him a darker tone than most. He reached the counter, paid for the goods, and went back outside to meet up with "his nephew".
'Alright, kid. We've got lunch. Lets go head out!.' He said, hoping to get an appropriate response before trying to lead the pair of them away from the grocery store out of the sight of the pair. He then leaned down to his team mate. 'They're hanging at the back. I'm hoping that little ploy made them think we haven't spotted them. We heading roofside to follow, or you got some other trick?'

Ryutatsu watched his partner go off and recon the grocery then come back with lunch. He let this all happen with a sigh as he put on the new coat over his stuff making himself appear less overwhelmingly armed. His sword fit nicely down his spine so it was covered except for the hit. It was at least less obvious. He was all ready when Kininata came back with the food stuff and started to speak.
Ryutatsu whispered over their com channel almost subvocalizing. "One already has a tracker on him. So besides marking who and where they hit, they are of little interest. I say we still see if we can find weapon shipments." He let Kininata chew on that one, he may be a chunnin and much older but Ryutatsu was no slouch when it came to figuring things out. Age was not always telling it seems.

The duo was on their way towards the non-alcoholic drinks to get some water. The younger one (Toru) was looking out for the two shinobis he had seen earlier. He decided to keep the winter clothes on since they were heading out. Suddenly, he spotted the redhead he had seen earlier. Toru hid himself behind a stable of Cola bottles while the older guy (Arata) had almost literally dived into the freezer for vegetables.
'This is odd. He doesn't seem to be preparing a jutsu or planting a trap' noticed the male. Kininata then disappeared out of his sight. "Any thoughts on how we should defend ourselves? Maybe he's going to get reinforcements" muttered the other guy.
The soldier looked at the aisle closest to them. A slightly evil smile formed at his face. "I suggest we use our environment to our advantage" whispered the man. His friend smiled back. "Sounds like a plan" muttered Arata as he laid a bag of ice cubes in the basket.
The duo started to prepare their chakra network for some action. Since they were ex-soldiers, their were in good physical shape. Not to mention that they had people here they could take as hostages if necessary. The duo would walk towards the aisle with non-alcoholic beverages. They tried to appear as calm as possible in order to avoid unwanted attention.
Krav Maga Fighter Mentality Rank: "B" Skill: Supplementary Effect: By fighting on and on, a Krav Maga Fighter becomes more proficient when an attack may come by. This happens usually when the Krav Maga Fighter becomes unable to see the attack. However by being in combat for so much they can feel when an attack is coming making them less able to be flanked. Special: --- Drawback: The user may only learn this technique by the class that they are. This means that in order to learn the "C" Rank version they must be "C" Class, if they wish to learn the "B" Rank version they must be "B" Class. Description: A technique where the subconscious mind, where the subconscious body reacts just as they are attacked while flanked or while their back is turn. The body reacts in such a way to where they are capable of withstanding so much. This technique makes it where the Krav Maga Fighter is incapable of being surprised attacked, a sudden second sense kicks in as their body screams out to them yelling at them telling them to move, duck, dodge or anything else within that manner. This works on whenever they are being attacked. This technique however has a major flaw. The user is capable of dodging only whenever the opponent's class is equal or lower to that of the rank of the technique they know. This means that a "D" Class user that knows this technique cannot use this against an opponent that is "C" Class or higher. Limit: Must learn from a Master of Krav Maga.
Jutsu in preparation [Toru]:
Suiton: Mahou Mizu Masairu Bakuhatsu (Water Release: Magic Water Missile Explosion) Rank: "B" Rank Skill: Ninjutsu, Offensive. Effect: An advanced form of the Mahou Mizu Misairu Renda, this technique creates more 'magic water missiles' and causes them to release a powerful concussive force upon impact. Special: "Hand Seals" Drawback: Only twenty five missiles are created at once. Can be dodged. Description: An advancement of the Suiton technique, "Magic Water Missile Barrage", this ability allows the user the ability to create fifteen additional balls, highly condensed and saturated with the user's chakra. Once created, these balls utilize the power of Ochiru Ame no Jutsu to stay within the air. The user is capable of directing these balls with his or her hands. These balls, then, when launched, they are shot forward at incredible speeds. Upon impact, the 'missiles' will release their stored chakra, creating a powerful spraying force. Limit: Must know Mahou Mizu Misairu Renda.
Jutsu in preparation [Arata]:
Raiton – Raiu Karasu (Thunderstorm Raven). Number of birds: 30 (has learned the jutsu five times). Range: 60 meters/200 feet ("B" class character). Rank: "C", "B" Skill: NinJutsu Effect: User creates birds out of Lightning to shoot at opponents. Special: "Handseals" - Holds "Bird Handseal" Drawback: --- Description: User performs needed handseals and holds the "Bird" Handseal. User creates 5 small birds with "Good" Flight control and shoots them at the opponent. Duration of this technique is as long as the user can hold the "Bird" Handseal. Each bird does 8 Armour Points of Electrical Damage. Range of this technique is 30 meters plus 15 meters per Class Level. Each bird is made from pure lightning, discharging a shock of electricity when striking an object. Each bird has a 2-foot wingspan. User may learn this technique multiple times. Each time learned the user may create an additional 5 small birds per performing of the technique. When the user can create 50 Birds the difficulty of the technique increases to "B" Rank and the damage per bird increases to 10 Armour Points Electrical Damage. User may learn this technique until they can create 100 birds. Technique uses an additional "C" Rank amount of Chakra per 25 Birds. Limit: Must have Lightning Release.
Kininata gave Ryutatsu a nod of approval - both for the tracer which he had missed, and with the suggestion over the weapons shipment. He didn't feel the same regarding leaving them alone - if they were just normal racketeers then they were just thugs. If the crime in this city was organised, even at the lower ranks, then some of these brigands could have special talents, even chakra-based techniques. Still, he was the foreigner, and Ryutatsu - young as he looked - had an air of experience about him.
'Lets get going. I'd hate for us to miss any special offers.' He remarked, glancing back at the store for a moment before the pair started walking off. At that moment he glimpsed the two suspects near the counter, but couldn't see any clear sign that they were still paranoid about them. He couldn't shake the feeling that leaving them was a mistake, but that was because he was nervous. Regardless of his experience, his age, his abilities, he hadn't been on a mission for a long time. Not a real one.
'So, how long has you been a master with the blade, Ryutatsu?' He asked casually, tearing a piece of the Hokkaido and taking a bite. He asked it that way because it was clear from what he had seen and how he walked that he was easily at or beyond Kininata's level. He was keeping an ear out, though. He still worried about what they had left behind.
Alertness Rank: "C" Skill: Supplementary Effect: User often notices things that others might miss. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: User gets a +10 bonus to their Observation and Sense Motive Skills. Ryutatsu tilted his head slightly in thought at the question not even really looking back at the store as they began to move away from it. He was aware that the brigands might have training and abilities but why engage the foot troop at this early stage? Either way the question on his mastery had some merit. "Well I just got back from the Kaze no Kuni dojo passing the mastery test. But honestly I am not a true master yet. There is much more to learn. I am still a student of the art. " Since the racketeers were now closer he could pinpoint them easier especially the one with the tracker on his boot. He didn't even need to look at them.
Blood of Dragons Rank: "C" Skill: Heritage Trait Effect: Long ago, your ancestors' blood mixed with that of dragons. Special: --- Drawback: Cannot gain any other Ancestry Traits. Description: User gains a +5% trait bonus on Observation checks, gain Low-light vision, and gain a +2 Heritage bonus on saves against sleep and paralysis. This trait replaces 1 Freebies. Limit: Must start with Character; replaces 1 Freebies. Sutatikku Nagare (Static Current) (20 Meters) (25 Rounds) Rank: "C" Skill: Kekkai Genkai Ninjutsu Effect: Allows the user to manipulate electrostatics and electric charges. Special: Rat, Dragon, Ram, Tiger, Monkey, Dog, Horse, Rabbit once per 5 turns. Drawback: Objects must be visible.
All manipulation of sensed objects is still, of course, limited by the other Kyoudo techniques. Description: Normally one can only use their Sutatikku Nagare ability on objects they can see.
If the user already knows Uncanny Dodge from a different source, they may automatically learn Improved Uncanny Dodge. Limit: Must learn from a Master of Busōsen (Arms Flash).
Heaven Shapeless: Dodge Rank: "D", "C", "B", "A", "S" Skill: TaiJutsu Effect: A technique used to dodge and evade attacks.
However, threats are perceivable once they enter that range. Limit: Must learn from a Gintsuki no Seikou Mai Master. Must know Hyouuryuu Yuki (Drifting Snow).

"Do you have the goggles?" whispered the male. "I do. Let's find out where they went" muttered the guy after he put the basket down. The duo had been given some tools when they had joined the Gale Empire. One of them was these goggles.
Arata put on the goggles once he was sure they were in a clear area. They were standing at the center of the non-alcoholic drink aisle. There were nobody nearby at the surveillance cameras on each end could not see them that clearly. "I can't see them in the aisles on either side or at the cashier section. They must have left" concluded the man after turning on the X-ray vision.
"Do you think it's smart to stay here? I mean, that'll make us easier to find. But we'll have tools and bargaining chips here" muttered Toru. His comrade nodded. "I think we can afford to stay...they don't know who we are or what we can do" replied the redhead as he laid the goggles back.
The duo walked down to the other end of the non-alcoholic aisle. They smiled when they saw when they walked towards the end. It looked like their favourite soda was on offer. "You're never too old to like cola" laughed the man. His friend chuckled as they laid a couple bottles of diet Coke into their basket.
