Exclusive access for squid

For some time now, the trained eye of Ryuuji scanned the dark environment of Ame kuni;
as he moved quickly from limb to limb, his steel blue eyes darted into the wet depths of the rainforest---yet nothing had been observed. He would speed up onwards, the rain waters gathering on his black poncho slid smoothly across its slick material; the genin of Rain Village was as a shadow in this for ever storm looming over the countryside - his skills had increased as his time as a shinobi grew.

The weight of his steel weapons, the katana at his hip and the feared naginata on his back did not impede his motions; he had since grown accustomed to the additional bulk, and had so increased his weapon taijutsu in the Tensora. His entire apparel was of black, and with each Shunshin, he skated through Rain country in search of his comrade...

fleet of foot and ever-expedient in his trek home from a hunt -- a personal contest of natural subsistence in the form of a boar quarry, shinjiro flicked in and out of view as he moved across the greenwood of ame no kuni. upon his saturnine face, his stony eyes, all but imperceptibly, reflected a slow, deliberate scanning motion across his purview; by this act, he was able to witness a small clearing shy of a marsh, yet not entirely a morass -- it was fertile land reminiscent of silviculture, probably from nearby locals who wished to grow elms in that glade. his footfalls produced mild sloshing sounds, irrespective to his natural stealthiness; the forest floor was indeed wet from the current downpour, this clearing in the forest, devoid of a canopy to arc over it, causing the rain that dropped down to make a distinct sound against the shoulders of shinjiro.

thump. thump. thump.

pausing a moment to rest, he sat upon a hastily built bench of solid earth, using his affinity for doton to raise a small patch of the forest's detritus. the cold touch of his tanto's sheathe felt reassuring to him housed within the layers of his shirt, scanning his environment and keeping his ears perked for any nearby movements. he planned to catch his breath for a spell, though it was times like these that things went awry.

He smirked, closing his eyes to enjoy the opportune moment he had seized on his own quarry. The eyes of Ryuuji had aided him in his navigation of the dimmed forests of Ame; in his swift gait, he had managed to scry out the looming frame of his ally---it was noticeable in the open woodland, that he sought respite in. With a flash of hand seals, the Genin pushed his hand into the ground as his earthen affinity erupted into the wet soils; immediately, upon the furnished mud stone that Shinjiro sat, he would feel a quake, which would then forthwith muster up a violent surge from out of the ground. Ryuuji's usage of the Deido Hashira would have launched Shinji airborne had he not sensed the erupting pressure... But then again, Ryu knew his opponent well. 

Since it was more or less an unorthodox means of introduction, his ninjutsu usage ceased for the time being. He would appear to the east of his Ame kin, from underneath the dripping greens of the surrounding forest. "Yo, Shinjiro... pleasure finding you out here," his draconic eyes flickered in the low-lit area, and he offered his closest comrade a warm smile in this dreary drizzle.

Deido Hashira no Jutsu (Mud Pillar)

Effect: A pillar of mud fires out of a muddy area aimed from below a target. It reaches a max of 10 meters.
Special: Dog, Rat
Drawback: It needs mud in the area to be used.
Description: The user fires a burst of mud out of a muddy area. This technique is not very damaging and was designed to impair or stall a target so the user can close in on them. It can be used in tandem with the Deido Sakana no Jutsu.
Limit: Earth Release

the precipitate shudder of the earth was nary but a prelude to a foeman familiar to shinjiro. at the onset of the rumble, a white puff of smoke would formulate where shinjiro was, the eruption of the ground causing a previously nearby log to be sent flying into the sky. substituting his body for dead vegetation within the environment, shinjiro appeared five meters to the north of his initial position, standing tall with arms crossed, as a toothy grin formed on his face. beneath his shoddily reticent veneer, only due to his comrade's familiarity of him, shinjiro replied to the nearby voice, "a pleasure indeed."

creating another pillar of earth to sit on, he looked at his friend's looming eyes. "what brings you here?" he asked.

kawarimi no jutsu (body switch skill)

skill: ninjutsu
effect: the replacement technique. a technique where one quickly replaces their body with an animal or an object by making it seem like they were attacked, this usually distracts and confuses an enemy and create a chance to attack.
special: ---
drawback: a user may only switch with an object of similar size from the nearby area. a user must perform the jutsu ahead of time, and not within the same round they are attacking in. the background must be explained correctly in order to perform. the user may not switch with an object on them, only something around them. the technique only works within a distance of five meters from the user. objects changed may only be of at the most two feet in different fo size. a user may not perform this technique, and perform other techniques after because it gives out the position of the user. this technique does not work on area effect techniques that exceed the user's capabilities of performing kawarimi no jutsu (body switch skill)
description: the kawarimi no jutsu, allows a ninja to dodge attacks, whether they are weapons such as kunai, ninjutsu, taijutsu, or any other attack type. coupled with other jutsu, it can be very effective in confusing your opponent, and catching them off-guard. the only downside, is it often takes a strategic mind to effectively utilize it, not that it can't be useful in the hands of an inexperienced ninja.
limit: an academy jutsu that all is capable of performing if they wish to do so.

Ryuuji shrugged, appearing coy; "Ehhh, just, yanno.. checking up on a friend.." he then smirked, leered and began another set of seals -- "And to play a game of tag." In a matter of seconds, the falling rains around Ryuu began to evaporate into pouts of a loose vapor; pretty soon, at least a circumference area of 10m began to become covered by the Kirigakure no Jutsu.

The patter of rain within that area had ceased. In an instinctive twitch, Ryuuji rushed towards the last place he had seen Shinji; his Shunshin Ko arced him from the right, so that he would be coming from the aforementioned's left. If he had been successful, and quick enough to touch Shinji, then he would receive a point; else wise, it was now his opponent's turn to try to land in a tag.

Kirigakure no Jutsu (Hidden Mist Skill)

Effect: A Skill where a user uses the water around them to create a massive mist to fill around the user.
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: ---
Description: A skill which creates a very dense fog that descreases the surrounding visibility to near zero. It produces an environment perfect for a silent assassin who follows an opponent through sound. This mist can not be blown away by any type of Wind Jutsu.
Limit: Water Release

Shunshin no Jutsu - Ko (Body Flicker Technique - Arc)*

Effect: A Jutsu that allows a user to rush in an arc in almost instantaneous speed. Allows the user to avoid the opponent's attack and gaze.
Special: ---
Drawback: Takes away the number of usages Shunshin no Jutsu - Oshi (Body Flicker Technique - Push). Same distance applications apply. Same drawbacks apply when over using.
Description: User is able to move in an arc along the ground in almost instantaneous untraceable speed while temporarily masking the user's movements within 10 meters. User may move forward, or backwards if they know Tweh version of Shunshin. This Jutsu is used to get around and behind an opponent without sacrificing multiple Shunshins. Supplement of Shunshin no Jutsu - Oshi (Body Flicker Technique - Push) using same schematics.
Limit: Universal NinJutsu or Universal TaiJutsu, Must know Shunshin no Jutsu - Oshi (Body Flicker Technique - Push)

here we go again, shinjiro thought, the verbalization of 'game' and materialization of mist putting him on alert. privy to the wiles of his friend, shinjiro pushed himself off the makeshift pillar in-sync with the sloshing sound produced by ryuuji launching himself forward within the marshland; it was a game of tag, a game that required touch. with that in mind, shinjiro waited for the first move to play out, so that he may riposte in kind. but it would not be an entirely defensive strategy: already thinking ahead of what he would do next, shinjiro shifted his footing upon dethroning himself and braced for ryuuji -- particularly a sharp pivot towards whatever side he felt contact from.

he would let himself be touched, but if ryuuji tarried, he would be greeted with two clenched fists swinging towards his head and abdomen. shinjiro planned on only doing a quarter spin, roughly 90 degrees, so that he could keep his eyes on ryuuji if need be. whether shinjiro's blows connected or not depended on whether ryuuji anticipated shinjiro's actions; even then, if ryuuji was quick enough to dodge, shinjiro, still mindful of his footing, with knees bent, would attempt to follow his movements. if his friend planned on retreating, shinjiro would taunt him by saying, "fight me you little punk."

The mists served their purpose throughout. With a keen mind, and knowing the capabilities of his compatriot, Ryuuji anticipated his opponent's anticipation. Shinjiro, being a scorpion if any animal could describe the man, was known for retaliation---and thus, through provoking him amid the mist, Ryuu used that to his advantage. The looming man would not connect his quick one-two blow against the dragon man; instead, after touching him, Ryuuji would quickly Ken'in Shunshin backwards at seven meters to avoid the reach of Shinji. 

"Can't catch me~?" he taunted, figuring that he would at least wait a moment before engaging in some taijutsu with a person with more physical range than he. Given the surroundings, Ryuuji would quickly flex his fingers into the handseals necessary to channel earthen energies while simultaneously stimulating his reservoir of Suiton energy. This would give way to a queer gurgling sound in several areas in the mist from each direction; it was the ground collapsing in on to itself before it regurgitated wads of muddy stones.

The collection of soggy stones began to churn violently upon one another as they rose in several clumped masses within the hazy environ. The utilization of the Mud Clone technique would beckon forth five bunshin of Ryuuji's similar build; yet being elemental, and mud-latto (from Suiton and Doton), their composition was not as solid as a natural Earth clone. Still, with a much slower gait and dash than the original, the creations went out. If Shinjiro had mistaken one of the mud clones for Ryuuji, then he would sense it. And then, another mud-related technique would be deployed, at least until Ryuu got bored of things.

And the mists continued to diligently work in the favor of their castor... with now six different bodies in six different locations, what would their opponent do next?

Shunshin no Jutsu - Ken'in (Body Flicker Technique - Pull)

Description: User is able to move backwards in a straight line along the ground in almost instantaneous untraceable speed while temporarily masking the user's movements within 10 meters. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. Supplement of Shunshin no Jutsu - Oshi (Body Flicker Technique - Push) while using same schematics.

Doton: Deido Bunshin no Jutsu (Earth Release: Mud Clone Technique)

Effect: Allows the user to create clones out of Mud.
Special: Dog, Rat, Boar, Ox
Drawback: Needs a source of mud that can supply enough mud to make the desired amount of clones. Ex: If there is only enough mud to make four clones, you cannot make eight, only four.
Description: Using mud in the area, the user can create mud clones depending on his/her ninja rank/class. Because the clones are made of mud, they are more durable than most other clones. May take two hits to destroy instead of one. The personality of the clones depends on the user’s personality. The user can channel thoughts with the clones. The weight of the clones and amount of mud needed depends on the user's body weight. Finally, the user can control what the clones say, and control the clone’s actions. The Mud Clones are capable of using any technique that deals with mud.
D Ranked Ninjas: Up to four Clones at a time.
C Ranked Ninjas: Up to eight Clones at a time.
B Ranked Ninjas: Up to 16 Clones at a time.
A Ranked Ninjas: Up to 32 Clones at a time.
S Ranked Ninjas: Up to 64 Clones at a time.
Limit: Must know Earth Release.
