Description: When laying the hand upon a living creature, the user channels positive energy that cures Light wounds within the amount of time performing a "C" Rank technique in handseals. While curing Light wounds this technique brings higher wound levels down by 1 step. Since undead are powered by negative energy, this Jutsu deals damage to them instead of curing their wounds.
Limit: Must be a Medical Doctor. Must know Healing Hands (Minor).

"This is my intern, Kaguya, Areum."

Areum gives a curt nod, white latex gloves hands clasped behind the small of his back.  He wears his black turtleneck, the sleeves pushed to his elbows, and his hair pulled entirely back.  Because of the setting, he does not carry his entire arsenal and instead simply a kunai in his back pocket.  A few loose locks of pink fall around his temples as he steps closer to the patient sitting on the cot.  Because of his height, Areum has to crouch to his knees to take up the patient's arm to examine it closer.  After a moment of examination, he says to the MD without removing his gaze, "Looks like a pretty standard laceration.  No infection, though it's susceptible to it as is."  A gentle touch to the frayed edges of torn flesh rewards him a jolt from his patient.  "Actually, there are signs of the beginnings of an infection."

There's a presence behind him, the MD leaning over his shoulder to look, before the presence falls back.  "Good," he says.  "How would you treat it?"

"A light Healing Hands would clear it up."  Before he is instructed, he pulls up his hand not lightly cupped around the patient's elbow and imbues it with a green light, pure chakra resonating with a slight hum.  It takes a moment to fully envelope his hand, from palm to fingertips, for he is still new to controlling such about source of power, chakra directly from the being, from the core.  With no handseals to direct the chakra flow, it can prove to be sometimes taxing for a doctor without experience.  While perhaps he knows in theory how to take care of a wound, he does not harbor the same amount of hands on training as the doctor coaxing him along.  

There is a slight wince, a sharp intake of breath, above Areum's lowered head but he pays little mind to the discomfort his patient may be caused.  It's all just a consequence of feeling better, he wants to say, but presses his lips into a tight line as he concentrates.  He watches as the gash closes slowly under his soft green glow.  Positive vibes, his tutor had told him.  Like he knew what that meant.  Areum squeezes positive vibes out as best he can, snagging on negativity every so often.  Moreso than anything, he will his patient to persevere, fingers twitching with near-excitement as the edges of the gash knot together, begin threading.  Muscles slowly touch and thin skin stretches over it, thickens.  Once he's done, the skin looks tip-top save for a thin, white scar.  He takes his hand away, cutting off the chakra flow so the green fizzles out.  The patient exhales with relief, cradles his fixed arm.

"Thank you!" The shinobi professes.  "Thank you, it feels much better!"

"It was only a scratch," Areum says flatly.  After a moment, his lips part into a generous however reluctant smile.  "Though, you're welcome."

Upon entering the next patient's tent, the doctor turns to Areum.  With a sickly sincere smile that makes Areum's nose crinkle, he says, "I noticed you had a slow start last patient.  This patient has a similar laceration across his chest, and if you'd like, I could demonstrate."

Although he's not so keen on being told he needs to make room for improvement, Areum accepts that he cannot start out perfect and nods.  "Of course, doctor," he says prettily, though as the doctor turns away briefly he fails to catch Areum's smile fade.  He says something the Kaguya doesn't quite catch and then turns back, Areum plastering on a quick smile.  "Step here then, please."

The patient, mumbling to himself about the mission getting out of hand, lies back under the doctor's guiding hand against his shoulder.  Once laid out on his back, eyes fixed overhead, Areum scoots up beside the tutor and watches, listens.

"Now, what you want to do is focus your chakra here.". He touches the center of his torso, right below his sternum.  "And then from there, to your hand.  Or hands." As if by cue, the doctor's hand begins to glow a solid green with a fathomable ease.  "You don't want to just concentrate it to your hand first, you'll expell it at a semi-alarming rate.  It won't necessarily hurt, you or your patient, but it can exhaust your chakra more quickly.

"Make sure to touch your patient.  It's usually better to do it ungloved, but, well, we don't know these men."

Areum stares at him unblinking, taking mental note of each word the doctor utters.  His expression puts him slightly off, so he stammers as his green-coated fingers flex.  "Uh.  Anyway, you have to touch your chakra'd hand directly to the wound, otherwise the chakra will have to travel further and the effect will be ever so less potent."

As he speaks, the MD lays his hand over the patient's chest which, if the sudden jump off the shirtless man was any indication, is uncomfortable at first.  The tension in the patient's face and shoulders eases as the chakra coursing into him pulses, 'positive vibes' channeling into his slowly healing gash.  Areum can see, as the doctor slowly slides his palm over the length of the laceration, blood clotting in his hand's wake.  The forming scar threads just as it had been when Areum tried, but as the doctor said it was quicker working.  The effectiveness in the way his tutor had shown him sticks to the back of his eyelids beside a bugging question.

"What about positive vibes," he wonders slowly.

"What do you mean?" The doctor looks up to him although Areum's eyes remain glued to the MD's moving hand closely, watching as the scar intertwines completely at the edge of his palm.

"You told me to focus positive vibes into my patients, not just chakra or healing or—" he wants to say 'or whatever' but knows how unprofessional it would sound.  "I don't understand that.  Not as much as I'd like to."

"Oh, it's simple." The MD smiles, turning back to his work.  Satisfied with the thin white line of new tissue spread between the patient's nipples, he straightens and wipes his hands down the front of his coat, brown blood staining it slightly.  "Just happy thoughts, really.  No negativity, y'know?  It's like, mentally telling your patient they're going to be just fine, and that you're there for them if they're not.  It's a state of mind, really."

"What if we don't necessarily have happy thoughts?" Areum asks, walking side by side with the MD as they duck out of the medical tent, towering over him by a head.

"I—" The MD frowns slightly, tilts his head.  "Everyone has happy thoughts.  Maybe not inherently, but they're there.  Even just think about something, one thing, that makes you happy and use that to work off of."

As his instructor previously taught him, Areum closes his eyes and allows himself to delve into something warm in the back of his cranium. It's a moment before he can focus on a pinpointed dream, one from a distant childhood. Maybe not a dream, maybe not a memory, but pleasant enough to bring a bubbling, electric feeling to his chest with his flowing chakra. The chakra touches his external, flaring momentarily at his palm. His expression twists into a grimace, his fingers beginning to tremble as the memory or dream fades into a dull grey muck. He instead finds his estranged childhood now, the truth of it, a barren one and the memory and dream are fuzzy and out of reach now. He can't reach it—the fire in him dies and the green glow at his hand thins out.

With a gasp, Areum's hand shoot up to his head, green chakra fitzing out in it's wake, and he rubs his temples. His instructor tuts softly.

"You can't try so hard, Kaguya." Areum rolls his eyes behind his lids so the doctor may not see. "It shouldn't be this hard. Just let it come to you naturally."

"I don't have very many naturally occurring thoughts, Doc."

There's a moment of silence, the patient looking dumbfoundedly between his two doctors, stretched out on the cot between them, shoulder torn slightly. His collar bone is only slightly visible through the red, ripped flesh, but otherwise a minor wound, however gaping. He tries to make himself unseen as the doctor's speak over him.

"It doesn't have to be a thought or a memory, Areum. It can be just a place of your own imagination, so long as your serene."

Fuck you. "Right."

Casting his gaze back down upon the patient lying on the cot, Areum brushes some of his loose pink strands out of his eyes, tucks them behind his ear as he bends over the patient's wound. "Hold still," he whispers, eyes fluttering shut as he places a hand on the man's chest to steady his own self, the other hovering slightly over the fresh wound as he concentrates chakra to his core. He first forces a synthetic happiness into it, but when that proves frivolous he clears his mind for a solution. Floating amongst his sub consciousness, a faint hum begins and he realizes he needs to think of nothingness; only then could he be surely peaceful, surely positive for his patient. He thinks about the endless expanse of blackness that is space, exploding nebulas and exploding suns that are simply stars overhead, long since dead but forever amongst the living. He realizes he, like all things, has this in common with the universe and the suns. When he inevitably dies, who he is or was remains, and it offers him the correct state of mind in which he can help his patient. His place is here, he realizes, at the aid of dying soldiers and fallen brethren.

The realization sparks wickedly, washes his hand in a glowing green chakra. With a simplicity he had once thought unobtainable, he touches his green-glowered palm to the man's gaping wound, wet blood slick against his unblemished skin. Beneath his hand, he can feel the patient's wound begin to sort of melt closed, muscles and tendons reattaching and the skin mending. Because of the width of the wound, Areum does not need to slide his hand over the wound and instead holds it, as if he were simply applying pressure. After a beat, he peaks beneath his palm to find the wound almost completely healed.

"Just a moment longer," he mutters soothingly, eyes still trained on his unmoving hand. For what seems like the last pulse, Areum channels his healing chakra and positivity into the patient. The chakra breaks off as he moves his hand, intertwining the last of the white scar. Touching his fingers to where had been, his patient smiles. "Thank you!"

"Of course," the Kaguya gives a short incline of his torso, a slight bow, before leaving with his tutor. The sun is beating down hard now, so much so that Areum has to bring his hand up to block the sun from his eyes. In the distance, he can see a fresh batch of wounded shinobi being rushed toward the medic tents.

While curing Minor wounds this technique brings higher wound levels down by 1 step. Since undead are powered by negative energy, this Jutsu deals damage to them instead of curing their wounds.
Limit: Must be a Medical Doctor. Must know Healing Hands (Light).

The wounded men being hauled towards the medical setup were groaning in pain and, as they drew closer, Areum could see buckets of blood trailing behind them.  Significantly hurt, all of them, Areum's tutor runs forward and the Kaguya has to jog to catch up.  They end up in the largest tent that holds well over ten cots, five on either side of the tent lined up side by side.  Before each man has been laid down to a cot, each holding their respective wounds, the MD looks to Areum like he should be doing something.

And then both of his hands light up green and Areum understands, watching as the MD turns his back to him in favor for the row of cots on the left side of the tent. "Shit." So Areum turns his back to, eyes fluttering shut with the weight of his serene emptiness.  He feels the warmth of his positivity flare up in the chakra caking his chest, his core.  Unknowingly, he holds his breath on a heavy inhale and his fingers twitch, arms raised slightly towards the men groaning in their cots.  Because of all the men and the chakra flowing from another being behind him, Areum is able to easily slip into the mental state of mind he needs.  When his eyes flutter open, he can see faint streaks of chakra.  In fact, the tent seemed to be glowing green; but it was all sleight of mind in probable actuality.

The green touches each men, some taking longer to heal, some healing entirely.  Areum watches as the men in front of them watch their wounds, some still crying in pain and some howling, but most blinking tears from their eyes at the ceasing pain.

Keeping his eyes on the cot directly before him, Areum watches as the man's stomach gurgles, the skin bubbling as he mends the hole in his gut.  He's sure he may see intestines brush against the surface of the skin, readjusting back to where they should be.  The man with the freshly knit back together stomach rolls over, vomits on the floor.  Areum wonders what it must feel like to watch your insides relocate, feel your skin boil with new tissue.  What it must be like to only be healed slightly, as the man on the far end of the cots sputters on blood, the gash in the side of his head bubbling red mucus.  Areum retches in his mouth, eyes fluttering shut so he may continue to feed the men positivity.

By the time he has lowered his hands, two men are fine, and thank him.  Of the last three, two harbored now a minor laceration (one across the thigh and one down the spine, at least three spinal nubs length), and one with a still nasty blow to the head.  At least he was coherent now.
