Buff & Polish
Rank: "B"
Skill: Supplementary
Effect: An Artisan can spend a minute and make items that are not Mastercraft in nature appear Mastercraft to even the trained eye.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Anyone attempting to Appraisal an item so treated must contest vs. the Artisan’s relevant Craft skill in order to gain an accurate appraisal of the item in question, otherwise they assume the value to be Mastercraft. Note that it is possible for an unscrupulous Artisan to use this ability in conjunction with Improvised Tinkering to make a quick buck. One can also recommend getting out of Dodge shortly afterwards however…
Limit: Must be an Artisan.
(+1 for A class, + 1 for Training area)
Ryutatsu spoke but in a hushed tone that represented the dark metal. "Thinaun is the soul stealer metal. Those who are slain by it or while wielding it will have their soul bound to it until a new soul takes it place. It makes certain dark rituals easier for the wielder but will prevent a dark ritual on those that are slain by it. It balances well with the Iron of the Spirits. "
Ryutatsu then shook his head and began to polish another katana in this area as there was just so many to do. He was doing a steady work of it as he went. Ryutatsu applied a careful precise touch to each weapon that ended up in his hands. One could tell he cared greatly for what he considered true works of art. The blade and the life by the blade are an artwork of a lifetime.
Ryutatsu's philosophy of knowing the whole sword from beginning to end was another thing that set him apart. He knew the metals of the earth, the process of the forge, and the techniques of those who wield them. He could tell with a trained eye just how sword will be wielded and what style it's function fit best. This was what made him on the road to being the very best.
