Once Takashi had left the Iwagakure Tower, he sighed heavy. Feeling like sweat formed on his forehead, he wiped away, wiping across his dry forehead. Scratching himself just a little bit. He rubbed the spot for a few seconds. Looking down at the mission's details. He scanned it again. Now to find where the old man lives. He started walking in the north direction. This house should stick out from the other houses, walking through the north direction as far as it took him before hitting a curve. Looking right, then left. Which direction was the house in? Looking up at the sky, it was clear as the few clouds strolled by and the birds chirped. The day just started, it has plenty of time. He faced the left direction and headed that way. As he was walking, looking around for the house. It should looked broken down or at least have leaks... right?
Another thought popped in his head, what if this former shinobi was a Chuunin or a Jounin! Takashi has many questions to ask him. He started to walk faster as he wanted to hear all about the former shinobi's life. Walking by almost every corner, he couldn't the house. He walked passed a candy store. Maybe the man was hungry and wanted sweets or maybe some chips to eat. Takashi bought enough to last a week just on chips. Leaving the store, chewing on the cotton candy flavored bubble gum. He decided to walk in the opposite direction heading to the right side of the village. As he was walking in that direction, he saw shinobi from all over the village, some were Chuunin and Jounin. He could tell by the way they represented themselves. Looking ahead as he was coming near the end of the section, he saw a house. Walking towards it, he looked around.
Takashi walked all around the house. It was one-third finished. Much to do. No one was around, returning to the front, he knocked on the door twice. He stood silent for a few seconds before knocking again. A faint sound could be heard from inside getting louder as he approached the door. The old man opened the door and stared at Takashi. "I'm here to help paint your house, sir!" The man looked around Takashi. "Where are the others? I assumed there would be more Genin with you." He sighed and walked away from the door as it was left open. Takashi entered, closing the door behind him. Takashi caught up to him and he showed Takashi where the paint cans were. There were four of them: red, green, brown, and black. The man didn't know how to paint his house, so he was going to do whacky colors, but he threw his back out.
"Sir, may I ask what rank were you before you retired?" The man scratched his chin as he thought about it. Walking over to his closet, he pulled out his headband and flap jacket. "Jounin." Takashi's eyes widened. He was helping an elite retired Jounin paint his house. "Sir, i want to hear all about your tenure as Jounin." Takashi said with a smile as he was walking with the paint cans. Takashi opened the door and set down the paint cans in front. He thought about which colors he wanted to paint the man's house. Maybe a brown and black or red and green. This mission- his first mission was going to be fun. The man knocked over to paint cans spilling them on the ground. The red and green cans were knocked over. "This isn't Christmas, why'd I pick those two...?" Takashi looked confused as to what just happened.
The man pointed to the left side. "Brown." Then pointed to the right. "Black." Takashi grabbed the brown paint can and walked over to the left side. The left side of the house wasn't huge but it was big. This could probably take all day if he doesn't hurry himself and be done with this mission. Maybe he wants to take his time and hear some of the stories the old man has to tell. Dipping the paint brush into the can, the old man brought a lawn chair out to the front and sat on it. Deeply sighing. "Well, it all started back when I was a Genin. I certainly wasn't doing lame missions like you." The old man began to laugh as Takashi's eyes hung low and he chuckled. Taking the paint brush and swaying from left to right.
