Name: A thorny situation. Courtesy of Ryutatsu "Sakurai Sword".
Rank: “C” Rank.
IIC length: 48 hours.
Difficulty: Moderate.
People required: Up to three Genins or a Chuunin with up to three Genins.
Objective: Kill the plant monster of large size or bigger and at least a “C” rank difficulty. And must take at least five to seven good posts.
Description: A Ikebana experiment turned horribly wrong. A Ikebana gardener was looking to create a new kind of flower for couples to share and created a plant monster instead. This flower based monstrosity is tearing up the nearby towns and trying to eat people.
Reward: 23,000 ryo.
James entered the mostly destroyed town with his katana on his back. To be quite honest the place was in shambles. It was, quite frankly, disgusting. Houses were torn all over the place, errant trash layabout. James opened his mouth half-heartedly, "This place looks terrible I can't believe anyone would live here, miserable." The whole feng shui of the place was entirely off. A man could be heard in the distance hurt. James rushed to his aid, lifting the light straw roof off of him. "What happened here, have you lost any blood? Do not fear, I have come to nip this problem in the bud."
"There was a plant, it came and destroyed the village." The man croaked out. He was quite visibly confused as to why the shinobi was speaking so strangely.
"Okay," James began, "You were literally under straw, you'll be fine. It seems this plant has broken the law, now it's mine." James threw his hands behind his back as he ran off into the path of carnage. It was a giant monstrous plant, after all, so tracking it wouldn't be very difficult. James moved forward at a breakneck speed. The path was wide but viewable. James could hear the screams of the villagers as he moved forward. James ran low and began to slow down so that he could remain undetected and make a plan once the plant came in sight.
The plant looked like a living cherry blossom tree. James had no idea why the monster even bothered to destroy things, and attack people. James was a little quizzical as to how this experiment became this way. He cocked his head to the side and asked the plant, "What will you gain from this?"
There was no response only a monstrous growl. Its green appendages reached out towards a cowering child.
