He still felt kinda uneasy about the disappearance of the twins but decided that he would trust Loki's harsh yet realistic judgement on the matter. "Let's not forget that just a few years ago I was pretty weak myself honey." Shiki smiled as he heard Loki's logic. He knew this about her. She was quick to verbally dismiss people. But the truth was she was very caring and compassionate. She just used selfish explanations to justify good behavior. "I seem to recall a monster hunter that you once saved from deaths doorstep." Shiki smiled as he continued to search for the monster.

"Oh please... that's just because I thought you were cute." Loki shook her head in shame, "Should've known better. You feed a stray, and they just keep coming back." Loki started to laugh at herself as she joked about Shiki. She then smiled and said, "Seriously though, if you cant stall your death longer enough to scream for help, then you can't be of much use. I'm just saying." Lok continuednto hum to helf as as turned her head away to look off into the distance a bit. This was really starting to get... annoying.

Walking through the bodies and blood didnt affect the twins in the slightest , for they ahd seen their fair share of death and cruelty. As they checked if by some miracle there was still someone alive they noticed that everyone that was dead was in fact or had to be a commoner. They were wearing robes mostly and there were a few pitchforks here and there.

It was like all the senses suddenly hit him at once. Everything grew really cold as he noticed the frost that was covering the grass underneath him. He could see his breath as he looked upwards. He could sense it now. The ghost was here. It's spirit was lingering to this place. Shiki saw the faint outline of the specter. As he focused his eyes he paused for just a moment as he used his powers as a venator to anchor the ghost so it couldn't leave. 

"There it is."

The world seemed to stop rotating on its axis as Shoko held his breath for four, agonisingly slow seconds. He felt it, the dread, the despair, the overall aura of doom that lingered in the already cold atmosphere. The ghoul was nearby, he could feel it in his gut.

Shoko unsheathed his Tanto, but thinking twice he sheathed it again. There would be no use of steel in this battle. His eyes darted to and fro frantically, as if a whole army could jump him at once. Still no sign of the girls, if they didn't come quick, things would soon be about to be heated. But at that very moment, not even the fire-filled clay ball could bring a comforting warmth to this desolate place of dread.

The sad part was that among the mutilated bodies, thw twins also found children dead next to their parents , most likely. "Hopefully they had a quick death" though the sisters as they closed the eyes of the child in front of them as a sign of respect. With anger boiling inside of them they begun to look around for any clues that could lead them to the culprit and thats when they heard it "There it is!" the twins recognized shiki's voice and immediatly ran toward him.

"Oh there it is..." Loki said as she turned her head to look at the creature that wass ahead of them now. She didn't bother to get out of Shiki's arms. She just remained there with e smug look on her face and then asked him plainly, "Do you want to kill it? Or can I?" Loki asked rather bluntly, she could very easily deal with a spirit like this, but so could Shiki. However, he was the one that found the creature this time, so it was only right that he got first dibs on the thing if he wanted it. She just wanted to get this mission over with.

"It's okay darling. I'll get this one." Shiki looked at the specter as it was moving along the treeline. "Shouten Kanden" Shiki whispered as his right eye would widen. The sapphire eyes of his would suddenly seemingly grow four extra pupils in a square pattern around his center pupil. A concentrated and lethal energy would cling to the creature as it was suddenly destroyed at a molecular level buy a nearly inescapable chakra field. Within moments the creature was dead and Shiki would be heading the group back to turn the contract in.

Description: Also known as Flesh Eater. Common Ghouls are undead humans who feed on the flesh of corpses. They are vaguely recognized as the humans they once were, but have become horribly disfigured. Ghouls have long, forked tongues, sharp, elongated teeth and strong claws. All Ghouls look vaguely similar and may continue to wear the tattered remains of whatever clothes they had in life. Ghouls are slobbering, flesh-eating maniacs, but they hunt with an evil cunning. While Ghouls feast only on dead flesh, they have no problem with killing something to make it edible. Breaking Vials of holy water in the path of Ghouls will cause them to hesitate one round, then jump over or run around it. Ghouls attack en masse, swarming over prey and digging in with their filthy claws and biting with their fangs. Their touch paralyses humans unless a save vs paralyzation is made. Paralysis lasts for 2d4 rounds or until negated by a Cleanse Paralysis or similar Jutsu. They bite for 7 Armour Points of Damage and Claw for 7 Armour Points of Damage. Any human or killed by a Ghoul becomes one unless blessed or completely destroyed. Ghouls are immune to Sleep and Charm Jutsus. Ghouls are found in graveyards or wherever there are plenty of bodies. One in every 100,000 Ghouls may also retain some Intelligence. However, even these undead will still be overcome with the desire to feast on carrion and will be unable to conduct civilization conversation without munching on carrion first. So far as any civilization folks know, Ghouls can only be created by other Ghouls and Ghasts. The original undead creatures are believed to have been created by the Ghoul King, who dwells somewhere in the underworld. It is rumored that Chaotic Evil creatures can cannibalize the dead may turn into Ghouls. It should be noted, that many of the dead in the world are buried on consecrated ground to prevent Ghouls from defiling their bodies or turning them into ghouls.
Yields: The blood of a Ghoul can be used for Alchemical purposes. A user can gain 2d4 cups of Blood. Ghoul Brain may be used to make an Elixir of Ghoul Control (See Alchemy Ingestibles). An Elixir of Ghoul Control will work on Ghasts, although the Ghasts get a +2 save. 6 cups (6 pounds) of Ghoul Brain can be collected per Ghoul.

The twins were happy the monster had died, and perhaps all the victims that died because of it had found a little peace, one can always hope atleast. As they rejoined the group ready to head back to town and deliver the mission their smile was always present. "Nice job"  was all they had to say and as they kept smiling they begun to walk down the road toward the village.

"Well that was woefully, uneventful. All that searching for such little entertainment." Loki said as she continued to remain in Shiki's arms, finding no reason to leave them just yet. Loki looked over the back of his shoulder and pointed back towards the town, "Whelp back to the town, let's go get another one!!!! Heeyaaa!!!" She said as she smacked Shiki on the butt treating him as if he was her horse. "Ride my Stallion, momma needs entertainment." She giggled as motioned for the group to head back. This time searching for something a little easier to find, would probably be more favorable.

Shiki chuckled slightly. He lowered his body down as he stepped into his four legged stance and moved at what could only be described as a god speed. Loki, like himself was a Kinesi in the art of the sword saint. She would be fine. But they would be back in front of the mission board holding a contract for ghouls and would find themselves almost instantly back near the dead zombie they had killed earlier. Shiki looked around and saw tons of them. 

"alright babe. Time to kick some ass."

Loki wasn't paying much attention to the mission that Shiki had snagged up this time around. All she noticed was how quickly he was moving between the 2 locations, and once they werre back at their... hunting grounds, she asked him, "So what exactly are we hunting this time around?" She was curious as if it was something difficult to find, she would at least hope that it would provide the with a little more of a challenge than the last creature they came across did. If it was easier to find than maybe she would be able to play around with the miserable little shit first. this day so far had been nothing more than a drag.

Once back at the original spot where the giant zombie had taken it's last breath, Shoko flicked out three of his kunai's. The ghouls they were hunting were gonna be wild, merciless, ferocious and above all; dangerous because they were bundled together in a horde. He brought out some of his explosive talismans. He carefully wrapped them around the hilt of his kunais. When they were to approach, woe betide them if they managed to take a hit from one of these kunai's... or if they were near someone under such a predicament.
He thought of the appropriateness of warning the others, but decided that they shouldn't be bothered about it. For know, he would just keep a careful eye over the giant zombie's corpse.

It wasn't long before Shiki and the new kid had both found a monster each. Shiki set Loki down as he tapped into his chakra. Making a flurry of quick handseals he summoned forwards 55 lightning birds of mixed pure holy energies and lightning. The birds were each 24 inches across at a max wingspan. The two creatures were killled on the spot instantly. Their bodies left nothing but a charred corpse on the floor. "If it moves kill it. I can identify it later." Shiki barked at the two cloud ninja as he looked for more.

With the apparition down, the group decided to go  after some smaller threads, a nice change of pace. Ghouls were their targets this time - the twins had never encountered one before but there was no doubt in their mind that as soon as they saw one they would easily recognize it. The mission was a rather simple one, slaughter them all. As they walked insearch for their targets the twins would just listen quietly to the others chatting. And just as they imagined more ghouls started to approach, however Caela and her wires made quick work of one of them.

Shoko gripped his two kunai's tightly against his fingertips, a third lay clutched between his teeth; as a way of stopping his teeth from chattering from the anxiety of it all (another nervous habit of his). To the northeast of his location, the foliage rustled as three ghouls emerged from the brambles. Their skeletal-like bodies were pale and emanciated, disfigured from harsh exposure and the natural injuries they received when the died for the first time. The sight of them made Shoko want to throw up, that and make them die for the second time.



The kunai in his right hand was whipped out and the projectile went streaking through the air with incredible alacrity as it impaled itself right between the eyes of a ghoul. But shoko wasn't done yet. With a quick movement he performed the "Ram" handseal, focusing on the kunai. The tag wrapped around it's hilt exploded in an eruption of flames and a cacophony of noise. By the time Shoko opened his eyes again the three ghouls were nothing but charred skeletons.
