1. Jealous of Your Rival
Rank: "C"
Skill: Teamwork Trait
Effect: For some reason the user's ally gets all the glory.
Special: ---

This ally bugs the user like nails on a chalk board. But when they fail, the user takes secret glee in their failure. When selecting this trait the user selects one ally to be their rival. Once per day, when this rival fails an attack save, or skill, and the user is able to witness it, the user gains a +2 trait bonus to their attack if applicable if they witnessed an attack, +2 trait bonus to their save against an attack if they witnessed a failed save, or a +10 to their Skill if they witnessed a failed skill check. If the user uses this ability while exhausted, they get +40 armour points in striking damage for 1d4 rounds. If using this ability to boost a multi-hit attack, the user may divide and choose how much of the damage bonus applies to separate parts of the attack. Alternatively, while the user is exhausted, they may instead get +80 armour points in striking damage for 1 round—in exchange, the user immediately falls unconscious (or paralyzed if unable to fall unconscious) once they finish the attack and can only recover from the condition after a forced extended rest. 13,000/13,000
Personality
Stoic: Aioshi is serious in the sense that he tries to not express what it is that he is feeling at one point or another. Emotions are just a pain in the butt in his view and are unneeded in combat or in most cases daily life. He prefers the stoic expressions, not letting his emotions cloud his personal ambitions, goals, and his tactics. He is definitely as cold hearted in appearance as his icy bloodlimit that dictates most of his life style, even though he has been deemed valueless in the village that he had been placed in by his parents who had been fugitives from a much more suiting home. His stoic nature keeps him from receiving emotional damage that earlier in life has caused him such grief and anguish. He suppresses the emotions to the best of his abilities, but sometimes falls short, finding that humanity is not dead within this young fellow. He may sometimes express himself in times of extreme stress or emotional distress. He is otherwise a statue, not letting his emotions appear before even those that he deems close friends.
Ambitions: His goals are considered the most important thing to him. He will do anything to achieve his goals, even if it means self-sacrifice in some cases. He puts his goals first. He will even give his friends, teammates, and village to gain success. His Success is of course dependent on his own abilities; which he hones for his ambition. He seeks power in the pursuit of becoming strong enough to overcome every obstacle that hinders his path to greatness. He will never relent if it threatens his personal goals, and at that he is persistent when it comes to achieving his goals, whatever they may be.
Vengeance Driven: Aioshi’s parents were murdered for being fugitives of Kirigakure, which has scarred his existence and emotional being. He is unaware of who the actual murder was; however his one goal that drives him to further develop his abilities is the avenging of his parents’ death. He will not rest until the people that ended the lives of his beloved parents have met their end. With that being said, he understands little as to the motives behind the murder of his parents, and only understands that they were murdered. He understands little of what it means to run away from a village, and believes that they were betrayed by the village that he had heard so much about since his move to the snow village. The alliance between the mist and the snow has further deepened a hatred for the mist village as well, seeing as the young Aioshi believes that he is always in the right in the matter of vengeance, and further believes that the people who killed his parents should be brought to justice. This has bred a secret hate for the leadership of both villages, for not doing their part to ensure justice, and to make everything right.
Strategically minded: Aioshi is calculated in nature, making himself an excellent tactician and strategist. He enjoys strategy games such as chess, shogi, go, and checkers quite a bit as well for this reason. When on the battlefield, he plans all his moves in his head, making each action part of a calculated plan. He calculates his opponent’s abilities and also those of his opponent when in combat. He is very unfeeling when it comes to victory. In battle there is nothing but victory as a goal. The only people that come out on top are those who are willing to do whatever it takes to win, and even further produces strategies that could result in the death of fellow teammates and especially the opponent. Being cold in this sense just goes to show that he will show no mercy. Opponents will almost never receive amnesty.
Law Abiding: Even though Aioshi is a complete jerk, who is only focused on having himself bettered, he is still a law abiding citizen who will follow the rules set before him up until they conflict with his goal of revenge. He will otherwise follow the rules, and play his part in the political mechanism as a whole. He will play his part, as he knows that as a whole he will only benefit from doing so. By breaking the norm, and going beyond the system, he understands that surely he will be offed quickly, or would be put in a position that would only disadvantage his achieving of his goal of power and vengeance. Following the rules for his own benefit is his purpose and sediment in this sense, and it’s all just part of his plan to further develop his position with the village, making his revenge possible. He might even be able to achieve rank in the village, making his likelihood of handling more sensitive missions more likely. He only desires what can benefit him and following the rules and being a part of the norm is one way of doing so.
Self-Confident: He is confident in his ability to be the best, and to further gain power that will allow him to eventually meet his goal of killing the men and women behind his parents’ murder. He knows very clearly that he has a powerful bloodlimit, being a member of the Kaishin clan, and plays that to his ego. He thinks that he is better than those who are incapable of being useful for his goal, or lack the ability or ambition to achieve their own goals. He is very confident in himself, and it is obvious in how he carries himself and how he treats others. He figures that he is better than those who are below him in rank, status, skill, or otherwise are simply annoying. He is easily annoyed and hurting his ego might result in some secret wrath that he might later seek revenge for. He is confident through and through, knowing that it’s not enough to just act good, but one has physically be good.
Hidden trait
Righteous/honorable: Aioshi, though a complete asshole, has a strong sense of right or wrong. Even though he personally will never disclose this to be true, he desires to be a knight like figure; which can bring justice upon not only the death of his family, but to the village as well. He is in the same sense honorable. Even though he will do anything to further his goals, he strongly believes that promises are promises, and that keeping them is important. He will honor agreements, pacts, and codes on his honor as a future knight/samurai. It is his Nindo to further uphold promises to those whom he believes worthy, and will do whatever it takes to prove that he is the best warfighter/knight that has ever existed while avenging his parents’ death.
Appearance
General Appearance: Aioshi is quite the lanky fellow since he is but only 12 years old. He isn’t very tall as of the current moment, and is overall a very skinny fellow. He is not very physically built, other than the muscle that are basic for a fellow who practices basic taijutsu on the norm. His facial structure is pointed to a degree, but overall is fairly standard for a child’s yet completely developed face. It is still taking form for this reason, but is overall appearing more pointed in nature. His forehead isn’t very big, but his black hair is still predominant seeing as he is a victim of the feminine features that often plague the Kaishin clan members. Aioshi for that reason cuts his hair fairly short just to distinguish his sex between male and female. Even at that, he still has a feminine facial and body structure. It isn’t an uncommon occurrence to think that Aioshi is a girl at first glance seeing as he is under the Kaishin bromide of appearing to be a woman even though he is obviously a male.
His body itself isn’t always feminine truthfully, seeing as he is doing his best to build up a masculine muscular body; however his natural genetic disposition makes that quite difficult to do, making his body building only effective in making his body more lean and woman-like in appearance. This proves frustrating, as he struggles with looking like a man. To the very least he knows that physically he is a man. His womanly appearance is one of the things that will break his disposition, however he slowly but surely is coming to terms with his body’s appearance. His eyes are a light sky blue color, ironically resembling the ice that his clan creates; however to most it might further express the coldness of his expression that he shows on an everyday basis. His dark black hair when grown out is normally tied back; however as it is right now it is cut quite short, so that his beautiful appearance is lessened, in an attempt to appear much more manly.
Casual Dress: His casual dress is fairly simple in appearance. Depending on what he is doing, he prefers sweaters and hooded sweatshirts seeing as he lives in a wintery environment. He prefers warm clothing, even though he himself is normally cold due to his icy mastery. His favorite casual attire colors consist of black, blue, and occasionally green and grey. He probably would wear a pair of pants, jeans, or something warm seeing as again he lives in a cold environment. A scarf is also a must, normally consisting of a green or red color when he chooses to wear one. His brown leather hiking boots are fitting for the cold seeing as he is no fan of wandering about in the cold for too long without warm clothing. When living in a cold environment most of one’s life, one learns to always dress warmly and to always be thankful for the heat that they get. Aioshi follows that principle to a “T” wearing warm clothing when it comes to casual outings and other events that would require him on a casual basis. If in a warm climate however, he might be so inclined to wear a Tee shirt every once and a while. He wears a necklace that holds the Kaishin clan’s insignia around his neck to remember his mother who was of the clan, always reminding him of his goal to avenge her death.
Battle Dress: Aioshi’s battle dress varies depending on the mission. When faced with predetermined open battle, Aioshi will always choose some sort of armor, seeing as his village favors knights of valor and honor for some reason or another. To impress his Kage, choosing to be a knight of the snow is what he had decided of himself, making it very difficult for him not to choose the path of the ninja when choosing combat gear. He wears his black tinted steel armor in open battle, just to give him the appearance of a fully built knight. On more stealthy based missions, he prefers to wear something black and tightly fitting. He wears a black long sleeve turtle shirt, and a pair of grey cargo pants. He chooses to wear a butt bag rather than another form of appeal that would hold his gear. If he were to rank up and become a Chuunin, he might even accept one of the white Yukigakure vest that would represent his rank. His Yukigakure headband is normally wrapped upon his head, but sometimes finds its way around his neck when he is lazy. Just like his causal outfit, he wears his Kaishin clan necklace.
Formal Wear: Formal wear for Aioshi can vary depending on what it is the he is attending. If it is for something formal in the sense that it is a wedding or a village ceremony, then he prefers to wear his best suit, putting on a black suit with a white undershirt and black tie. If it is something more casual on the formal spectrum like a party of some sort or celebration, Aioshi might tone down his appearance. He more than likely would choose to wear a sweater of some sort and a pair of decent pants that might appear decent enough for a formal part. If it is something that would require him to put on the appearance of knight, then obviously the armor for which is worn in battle as well as a cloak that is of a sky blue color and has his clan insignia sewn into its back would be his choice of appeal. For anything otherwise that would be deemed a formal event of another benefactor or another village, see battle dress.
Background:
Being born in the land of Frost was definitely not easy. The harsh environment was tough for the young kiddo; however being a member of the Kaishin bloodlimit, ice and cold was something that didn’t bother him like it did most other people. Aioshi’s cold upbringing, though harsh in the environment, was warm in that his family was fairly close. His father, though a serious person in appearance, his father was actually quite a gentle person. Aioshi admired the gentle nature of his father, and even at that he found himself feeling less inclined to fight for anything as their peaceful life in the land of frost began in such a warm way. His mother was in the same sense gentle, but much more hardened from the many years that she had seen as a shinobi. Being the Kaishin in the family, his mother was indeed quite beautiful, but all the same it didn’t make much difference in the young fellow’s eyes who had yet to develop his own opinions quite yet.
As he grew to the age of about six years old, Aioshi was beginning to learn about the clan that he was consequently part of now that the blood of his mother had been passed on to him. It was customary to begin developing one’s abilities at a younger age to further create the ice that the bloodlimit is known for. Aioshi was a natural, learning how to manipulate the ice with ease, as it was his birth right even at an early age. Aioshi’s transition to a true clan member was completed when he was beginning to finally understand the past that his parents had once lived. As he began to slowly discover that they had once been ninja of one of the five great ninja villages, which Aioshi at the time thought to be entertaining; however he was unaware of how dangerous it was to leave one of the villages, and to become one of the dreaded missing ninja of the world. Aioshi was ignorant to the fact that his peaceful life and birth, would be the catalyst of his parents’ early death that would arrive a year later.
Aioshi was only seven when the air in the household changed. It became much more panicked, and stressful than the life he had known up to that point. As his parents both seemed distant from the average life that they had been living up to that point, Aioshi began to further seek training in his own bloodlimit. Aioshi’s time was booked as about mid-winter of that year the attack finally ensued during an intense blizzard. The battle was brutal, destroying not only their home, but most of the small village that they had been living in at the time. The Ninja that attacked used similar techniques to that for which he had slowly been learning himself, working hard to bring his ice mastery up to par. These ice users were obviously members of a shinobi village and when the dust cleared, the not only killed his parents, but took their bodies off to be destroyed. Aioshi had hidden himself under the snow during the battle, but had noticed that during the battle of the masked shinobi fell in the snow next to his freezing body. He was able to recognize the strange wiggly symbol that was the Kirigakure insignia and the Kaishin earrings that were donned by the dead shinobi hunter.
It was obvious that the clan elders and the leaders of Kirigakure had ordered the execution of his missing parents in that moment. Taking the moment of battle to snatch the necklace and odd katana of the Kaishin clan, Aioshi did his best to attempt to defend his parents; however in that moment he became a witness to the currently silent attack that should have gone unnoticed otherwise. The now finished 5 masked Kirigakure shinobi, carrying the dead bodies of her parents, now approaching their dead comrade easily noticed a kid wielding a weapon that he obviously had no clue how to use and donning the necklace that had been on their fallen comrade around his neck. They slowly approached weapons drawn as they prepared to end the life of this child just to silence their deeds and move on back to the village to preserve the bodies of their bloodlimit brother and Aioshi’s parents.
Aioshi would have died in that moment if it had not been for a squad of intervening Yukigakure shinobi that had come across the battle in an attempt to rescue the pair that had requested help from the Yukikage Ace Debutler only a few weeks prior. In the clearing of the aftermath, Yukigakure took on the young fellow, letting him live within their village and enlisting him within their academy as if his bloodlimit might make him useful. Aioshi himself had been emotionally damaged, not only by the death of his parents, but by the clear brutality that the attack had been done with. As he was registered into the village as a young academy student, Aioshi had vowed to not only kill the five members that had killed his family, but also vowed to seek revenge on the Kaishin clan an Kirigakure for ordering the murder of his parents. It is his one true goal. It drove him further to better himself as a shinobi, only seeking to get his revenge. He decided for then on out that he would do everything in his power to make sure that all of it could become a reality.
[The following part has been agreed upon by Sae Shinamori to have us be IC rivals: 3]
After being enrolled in the academy, He proved to be one of the best in his class, using his advanced mastery of ninjutsu and physical decent prowess. His ability to learn quickly made it possible for him to do a bit better than average; however he was constantly annoyed by some goddamn goat kid named Sai Shinamori. For whatever reason, Sae kept acting like a fucking idiot. He even went to the extent to pronounce chakra, Cat-tra, which didn’t even make any sense…at all. This created a small twinkle of hatred for the blundering idiot that the self-righteous Kaishin just couldn’t stand to be around. Whenever they were pitted against each other in hand to hand combat, Aioshi swiftly took the moment to not only further his image, but also took the opportunity to beat Sae’s ass. He hated how annoying and confident in his failing abilities this kid was. Aioshi’s goal was to be the best after all.
After turning eleven, Aioshi joined a kendo club that was offered to some of the more senior students, which Shinamori took the initiative of ruining for Aioshi. Even though he found some enjoyment in swordplay basics, he still hated the fact that the stupid goat kid kept playing around as if everything was joke. Aioshi’s disposition was constantly struggling to keep a stoic expression as his anger towards the fellow grew. The even were placed in the same squad after graduation, squad 5; which was even more annoying. Aioshi’s emotions towards Sae could not be described as anything less than dislike, and strong annoyance towards. Even at that he now began his journey beyond the academy, with his squad and with his new dojo that he had gone to after leaving the academy itself.
