Oh? Bree pondered for a moment, That man who played music out of black wires, and was acting as the herald for the witches?
“I see,” she said. “I recall telling a person by that name that I often forget people who weren’t memorable, but I certainly won’t be able to recognize such a drastic change in figures.”
Not quite sure how to make of the new face, Bree just settled for turning back to the page with her sketch of the table and scribbling the Waterfall symbol by the chair of the village representative. It was a good time to be on that page of the journal, too, because people had begun to pour into the chamber.
Some stayed off to the side, and some took seats at the table.
She returned Lady Raikage’s greeting first. “Hello Raikage Marii, it is indeed a pleasure. Thank you for providing the company of your vanguard early on. Shiki has been a delight to chat with. I am Brianne of Sound. I hope the fortunes are kind for our first meeting here.”
Yet another woman with red hair had arrived, though this one seemed responsible for providing entertainment. That was a nice surprise—Bree was sure she was going to miss seeing the hunt.
“Hi there, Yuri!” Bree cheered, gladly matching the Kusakage’s speaking stride. “Oh nah, not the least bit distracting. Honestly, I think it’d be worse if any of us were caught falling asleep in this meeting of states. The offender would need to hope we don’t treat that as a declaration of separation. Thanks for setting the meeting in such an exciting event. I feared someone would pick a lonely, barren mountain summit to have a summit.”
Now that there was a window to the daylight outside, even if not directly, Bree saw no need to keep glowing. Her daylight often casted glares on viewing screens, which wouldn’t be very helpful. She allowed herself to dim and stripped away the light she gave to her chair, letting everything settle back down to the original spotlight.
While the light faded, she sketched the symbol of Stone close to her own village's emblem on the journal. Since she was already sitting directly opposite the mediator, that meant the farthest seat away from Tehlmar would be one of the chairs neighboring her own. She then followed it up with the Grass emblem by where she sketched Yuri's seat.
