The benefit she gave her creature wasn’t quite enough yet. She weaves her hand seals again and pressed her hands against the creature. The creature clearly accepted the additional chakra and boost to its mind and body. Dream Ameya ensured that the jutsu took affect by trying to scare it with an illusion, but it resisted it much better than it would have before.

Alluding a foe isn’t always an easy task to do, even in a big village. Dream Ameya had a solution for just that, one that Real Ameya could definitely use. Focusing her chakra on herself, she focused on making herself harder to detect and more elusive. It wasn’t something that she could verify on her own, so she went to Dream Kusagakure in order to be chased. She chose a random person and shoved them. Naturally they chased her.

She turned down an ally to avoid them, with great luck they didn’t follow her. The result of training her chakra for the jutsu was a success. Next she needs to bestow it on her babies to see if they could also allude people. She poured her chakra into her hands and started to weave her hand seals. She wasn’t able to put the affect on other creatures, only herself. She was fine with that of course.

So she wanted to really test it. She went into the middle of a group and farted. The group was mad at her and all six people started to chase her. She turned down an alley. This time, three people followed her. She turned down another and they kept pursuit. She burst through a door and left it open, two of them passed it up and the final one continued to follow her. Finally, she opened a window and flew right out of it, taking flight into the sky. Naturally the pursuer could not follow.

Dream Ameya had eyes that could freeze those that looked into them. Real Ameya could also use this skill. In order to help Real Ameya, she focused her chakra into her eyes. Being a Hyuuga, she was used to doing this and instead of them glowing orange, veins bulged and she activated her Byakugan. She didn’t mean to do this at all. So she released the Byakugan and concentrated putting her chakra into her eyes again.

This time, nothing happened. She focused on the chakra she was putting into her eyes, making sure not to activate Byakugan again. The two types of chakra felt different and she didn’t quite get a feel for the other chakra signature yet. After continuously doing this, she started to feel a difference in the chakra that was required. She concentrated on just using that chakra in her eyes.

With the ability to now discern the difference in chakras, she quickly weaves her hands into seals and activated the enchantment. Her eyes started to glow orange. Her sight didn’t change at all, but with the chakra glowing in her eyes she could feel the difference. She stared at her creature in the eyes and the creature couldn’t move. It had failed to look away from her gaze. A couple steps forward and the creature was free.

The duration of this technique lasts for 5 rounds per class level. This technique may be negated. This Jutsu causes the user's eyes to glow bright orange. Each round, the user of this Jutsu may meet the gaze of a single living creature as a move movement, that creature must succeed at a Will save or be dazed as long as the user maintains eye contact (a move movement) and 1 round thereafter. The Jutsu is broken if either the user or the victim is struck for damage or if the user moves more than 2 meters. Jutsu performing (as long as the target of the Jutsu is the user or the target) item activation and normal speech do not interrupt the Jutsu. A victim dazed by the user's halting gaze suffers a -4 circumstance penalty against the user's Jutsus from the Enchantment Illusion. If allies shout at the victim or try to physically rouse their companion from the daze (as a weaving movement), the victim is allowed another Save to break free from this effect.

Dream Ameya also understood the importance of being able to avoid damage. She had protection from the divine on herself and Real Ameya would soon learn what that was like. Filling her body with chakra, she focused on how her body reacted with the chakra. She moved her hands around and let her chakra flow with it. She then walked around in a circle with her chakra flowing freely, yet moving with her.

This would give her what she needed to dodge attacks easier. Having noticed a good difference in her own movements, she focused her chakra into her mind to also increase protection against things with that. The divine didn’t just want to avoid physical, mental damage was bad too. She could feel herself become more aware of things with her mind. So dodging with her body and mind would now be more simple.

Dream Ameya’s final step was to focus her chakra j to her hands. She needed to give divine chakra to another . Her creature walked over to her and she placed her hand on her creature. She tried giving it divine protection, but it didn’t work. After weaving hand seals, she was able to finally boost her creature as well. She tried striking her creature and it dodged her. The jutsu clearly worked on it too.

    Inoryu had a wonderful imagination and he would think of other ways the phantasm perception could be used. His years of studying the perception gave him an expert level base knowledge of the usage of phantasms. It was no surprise that he was able to come up with different methods of applying phantasms and their various effects. He would recall the way phantasms could be used to change his appearance and throw off the opposition. There were various effects this method was capable of as well. 

    He would start with the most basic because though he had the knowledge and theory, he had yet to put it to practice. However, his control over chakra would make these basic jutsu relatively simple. He weaved the two hand seals necessary and targeted the shadow clone that had continued running laps. His first attempt was unsuccessful but his second attempt was. The shadow clone wouldn't notice the genjutsu until he turned the second corner of the 80 by 80 meter field. Even though, he wouldn't notice the genjutsu until he looked up Inoryu. 

    The shadow clone continued his jog, facing forward. He noticed something odd about Inoryu from the distance so he kept his sights on him to determine what it was. As he approached closer, he was finally able to see the cause of his concern. From the neck up, Inoryu's face was the head and beak of a creature called a "beaked terror." The sight was unsettling to say the least and the scar on his left pec tingled as even his body remembered the damage caused by the beast.

I need a hero.

Bravery would be a really good way to describe a hero. Add that to someone who can boost morale and you have the ideal hero. Dream Ameya’s chakra flowed through her veins excreting heroism. She made others around her feel brave in an enchanting manner. Her chakra nature allowed her to attack harder, have her a stronger will, and helped her when performing skills.

Real Ameya didn’t have these abilities. Dream Ameya focused on her chakra and tried to spread it throughout her body. She could feel power spreading throughout her mind and body. The chakra felt good, and made her feel heroic. She continued to focus this chakra in order to get the full effect of it. She started to punch a tree to see the effect it had on her physical ability which was actually pretty strong.

Next she wanted to give the effect to her Dream Monsters. She weaved hand seals and cast the enchantment on her monsters. She let them attack one another while casting illusions to see if they had a stronger will. The creatures attacks were clearly stronger and they easily out willed the illusion. Dream Ameya observed all of this, noticing that her observation skill was even easier to use now.

Any creature (excluding the user and the user's allies) that views the recipient and fails its save becomes shaken.

    It was 2:45 in the morning and Inoryu had a brief moment of complete clarity. He recalled the apparition jutsu and all of the mechanics behind it. He remembered studying the jutsu in his room and being completely enthralled by the effects. Inoryu was excited to learn it at the time, but did not have a guinea pig to learn with. Now the excitement returned as nostalgia. 

    In the spirit of practice for the jutsu, he would not consider the second shadow clone as an ally. He weaved the four hand seals required, jogged over to the first shadow clone that had been observing and transfered the prepared chakra through a brief grip of his shoulder. It would seem he had a particular knack for this jutsu as he noted the success on his first attempt. The second shadow clone that was still suffering the effects of the unnerving gaze jutsu, now saw the first shadow clone's face take on the features such as a pale green skin tone, large flappy ears of an elephant, the snout of a crocodile, and his short blonde hair turned black. Inoryu's beaked terror face turned to face the second shadow clone whose gaze was accompanied by the second shadow clone's apparition. The victim became shaken and his taijutsu blows would have much less of an impact. 

    Recognizing that there were genjutsu about, the perturbed shadow clone began a genjutsu kai attempt. The genjutsu kai was enough to dispel the unnerving gaze jutsu and he watched as the chakra of the phantasm distorted, then vanished, to reveal Inoryu's real face. However, the features of the first shadow clone remained, thus he couldn't shake the unsettled feeling. Despite the success of the apparition jutsu, the shadow clone deduced that it must be a phantasm and gathered himself to try genjutsu kai again.

Mentally, Dream Ameya was prepared for just about anything. She had fortified her will during all of the Dream Wars and remained unbreakable to this day. The issue was that Real Ameya wasn’t as unbreakable as her. Dream Ameya closed her eyes and focused on resisting all temptation. She needed to resist anything that would threaten to take her over or try and control her. She even focused on resisting things that may or may not be real.

Her chakra protected her mind. A barrier between it and anything that may inflict harm. In order to test the durability, Dream Ameya summoned illusions that would make her thing that she herself was being eaten alive. She used her powerful will to overcome it. It wasn’t enough though. She needed even more willpower to prevent more powerful spells. So she focused her mind further.

She could feel her mind growing more and more sturdy. So next, she needed to cast this on other beings. She once again began to focus on on her chakra. Her mind was sturdy, but she needed to put that onto another being. She performed weaving movements and hand seals and was able to put chakra into one of her creatures. The creature would now have a stronger will, just like what she was able to form for herself.

Awakened Fears

Description: A Fear, Mind-Affecting Technique. Affects 1 living creature. The user is able to perform this technique at a distance of 30 meters plus 15 meters per class level. The duration of this technique is instantaneous. This technique may be disbelieved once interacted with. The fears within the target’s subconscious mind are transformed into terrifying and frightful images that its conscious mind can visualize. The target experiences a horde of phantasmal images swirling around its body, tearing and clawing at it. The target may make a save to disbelieve the phantasmal images, otherwise the target suffers from mental damage from the fear effect and is shaken.
Limit: Must know the Phantasm Perception.

    Inoryu remembered reading about a particularly crafty phantasm that was superb in the way the phantasm infiltrates the target's mind. So potent was the genjutsu that it was irresistible. This had several implications, one that it would always be a successful distraction. This went without saying that if the genjutsu was believed, the target would suffer mental damage and become shaken. He took a moment to remember the hand seals and thought, "Oh, that's right."

    Inoryu targeted the the shadow clone trying to dispel the apparition jutsu. He weaved the four hand seals necessary and the shadow clone's latent fears were extracted from his subconscious mind. Terrifying and frightful images appeared surrounding the shadow clone and began swirling around its body, tearing and clawing at him as they did. The shadow clone appeared to be overwhelmed, but it was up to him to disbelieve the genjutsu. He would fail in this endeavor and disappear in a cloud of smoke. 

    "The shadow clone vanished," Inoryu said, "He couldn't disbelieve the genjutsu and took mental damage." He would turn to the remaining shadow clone, whose face was still an apparition, and performed the awakened fears jutsu a second time. He weaved through the four hand seals and the latent fears of the shadow clone were awakened as phantasms surrounded him and closed in. The phantasms began swirling around him, tearing and clawing at his body. This clone had been down on his luck all night, and just as Inoryu expected, the shadow clone disappeared from the world.

Not one to disappoint herself, she simply folds her arms behind her back and palms each of her elbows in the opposite hand, effectively bounding her arms behind her back. She gives her body a few jerks to test her own strength, finding that she was capable of acting as though she was incapable of freeing herself. Satisfied, she takes a moment to breathe and actually think about the process of what she was going to do, and how she was going to do it. First and foremost, she supposed, would be the simple channeling of chakra without using a seal to concentrate it.

That part, Harue hypothesized, would be easy. She'd build off of that, she supposed. But she didn't want to get to that point and then think of how to proceed, so she'd have to think about that now before she even begun. Where could she go with the pent up chakra? Simply let it diffuse? That would be pointless, she supposed - simply charging her chakra and then letting it fizzle out wouldn't help her learn how to cast without handseals.

After all, you didn't need a seal to channel the chakra. It was just taught that way - in the academy to Harue, at least. So it wasn't like she needed to teach herself how to channel chakra without a seal, because that was going to be easy. She was sure she'd even done it on accident before, so there was no turmoil there. So she couldn't let it sizzle out and call it good - she needed to wholly and actually cast a jutsu without using handseals to unlock its power.
