Type: Restoration Ritual
Effect: Everything around the user begins to dawdle. The laws of the universe follow the user's whim. The user commands time to slow for everything but the user and those they consider friends.
Special: To perform: 5 minutes; Duration: Special
Drawback: ---
Description: User performs the ritual on themselves and up to 5 willing recipients. The ritual speeds up time for those affected. The group takes an extended rest. That short rest becomes an extended rest for all rules applying to short and extended rests. The extended rest is 8 hours long, though only 5 minutes pass in the rest of the plane. Because the fabric of the universe is fragile at this point in space, user's group may not move more than 2 meters in any direction from where the ritual was performed, nor can they do anything other than talk to each other. Any attempt to move beyond the distance stated, or use any abilities, instantly dispels the Time Compression for everyone involved. Neither the user nor any other members affected may perform any other Rituals for the same reason. If the compression is stopped prematurely, the duration does not count as an extended rest, only a short rest. Because of the bizarre laws of time and space, user cannot use this ritual more than once in a true 24-hour period.
Limit: Must be a Ritualist for Restoration Rituals.

Time Compression Seal
Rank: "S"
Skill: Fuhenjutsu
Effect: A Seal that allows the user to release the power performed by Time Compression.
Special: ----
Drawback: User cannot use this seal more than once in a true 24-hour period.
Description: The duration of this seal is 5 minutes after performing the Seal or until it is disrupted. Performing the Seal takes up handseals equal to rank of Jutsu. The user slams a hand against the ground when performing the Seal. The Seal has a 20 meter radius range after touching the ground. Performing this Seal uses up the Ritual; meaning user must perform the ritual again in order to perform the Seal. The seal appears and stays on the ground until it disappears after the duration.
Limit: Must know Time Compression Ritual.

    Inoryu meditated for about an hour, but he relaxed from his posture and decided that it wasn't enough time to determine whether the ritual had taken effect. Instead, he decided to focus on the soothing quality of the jasmine and it made him drowsy. He leaned backwards so that he was completely at rest on the floor, placed his right arm underneath his head and fell asleep. It was easy for him to be lulled into a deep sleep and he didn't resist. He quickly lost consciousness. 
    Minutes turned to hours as tie progressed. Inoryu may have been dreaming, though he couldn't recall. Perhaps his 'dream' was merely the subconscious processing information in his sleep that he had yet to address consciously. He was completely comfortable on the woodland floor on an even and patchy spot beneath him. Hours continued to come and go. 
    By the time Inoryu had waken up, he had a full, extended rest. There was no doubt that he have slept long into the night if it weren't for the ritual. As he opened his eyes, he continued to relax where he lied. Slowly, he stood up, completely rejuvenated, and the sun continued to seep through the canopy as evidence of the Spring day outside. Inoryu walked up one of the trees, through the many branches and looked beyond the canopy to observe the sun. The sun hadn't appeared to move at all. Though he had acquired an extended rest, only several minutes had passed outside of the ritual's area of effect. Due to this remarkable affect on space-time, Inoryu still wasn't ready to accept the theories presented in the scroll as fact, but he could not dispute them either. He would adhere to the knowledge as truth until something better came along, just as he does with the Yamanaka clan philosophies.

This technique gives the user an additional +25 to their Sleight of Hand against Observation checks to find these weapons.
Limit: Must be a Throwing Specialist.

    Since having a full extended rest, Inoryu could return to practicing shunshin, but he was in no rush. Instead, he wanted to be more prepared when in disguise. He did not have his armor on him, which might be the case when in disguise, and he did not want to be completely unarmed. He began wondering how he could hide weapons on his person without them being obvious. He drew two bo shuriken.
    He wondered, "How could I conceal these on my person?" The most obvious way was to place them in his shoes and socks. He tried that and for the most part it seemed to be successful, but he could hold only so many bo shuriken this way. He wanted to continue to this outside of the box. He considered using holder enhancements. He would be able to hide the weapons on his person successfully, but what if he did not have any? 
     Another obvious method were to place the shuriken in his pockets. This method could be more or less effective depending on the disguise. Though he wouldn't disregard it, he thought there had to be a better way. He placed four hira shuriken in his pockets, two in each side and worried that with excessive movement they would cut through the fabric. He then thought of creating his own slots.

    Inoryu was racking his brain trying to brainstorm for the best methods to achieve his goal. He needed to be armed, even when in disguise. He continued to brainstorm ways he could conceal as many weapons on his person as he could. He needed some adhesive, or rope. He found what he was looking for in the woodlands and cut a vine from a bush. 
    He thinned the vine so that it wouldn't look bulky in his disguise. He took out a slot of darts and tied them to his person, underneath his sleeves using his right hand and teeth. After seven of them were tied to his arm, and tied seven more under the sleeve of his other arm When those have been secured and concealed, he continued to brainstorm more ways he could conceal weapons on his person. 
    Following the lines of the same method, Inoryu cut more vine from the bush and thinned it out. He took seven bo shuriken and secured it to his waist using his belt and tried to secure his tanto in the same manner. However, the tanto was too bulky and wouldn't allow the bo shuriken to remain secured. So rather, he used the vine to secure the tanto to his thigh. Although he was achieved what he wanted, he tried to think of ways to make unsheathing the tanto easier.

    To make sure his weapons were secured, he decided to move. He started by taking a walk around the dense woodland of training area one. He started at the edge of the 80 by 80 meter complex and walked along the entire border. Afterwards, he wanted to take it up a notch. He began doing quick and explosive movements such as spinning, turning, and bending.
    After a couple of minutes of that, his weapons still were secured. He decided to take it even further by doing more extreme movements such as handsprings, back handsprings, butterfly kicks, b-twists, back flips, front flips, and various other kinds of advanced tricks and flips using the air buffer. To his surprise, his weapons were completely secured. Perhaps he was successful after all. If his weapons were able to remain secured through the movements, then they would definitely be secure in combat. 
    Still, he wanted to try and think of a way to make sheathing his tanto easier. As it was now, he would need to completely remove it from its wrapping and then he could unsheathe it. If he handn't secured the bo shuriken to his waist, he would be able to secure the tanto to his waist and unsheathe it easily. Maybe that was it. To make the taijutsu more effective, perhaps he should secure the bo shuriken elsewhere and secure the tanto to his waist.

    Eager to master the taijutsu, Inoryu had drawn out the seven bo shuriken from his waist and unwrapped the tanto from his thigh. Instead he used the vine to secure the bo shuriken to his right thigh. Afterwards, he secured the tanto to his waist with his belt. Now the tanto was more easily drawn, but the bo shuriken were more difficult. It seemed he would have to choose which weapon he would more easily draw. 
    He thought for a moment and decided to return to his prior arrangement. If he were to draw the tanto, he would focus more on gintsuki no seiko mai. He could then use the flowing ice stance to do battle. However, his shuriken were weapons to be drawn with more urgency. It would be a terrible disadvantage if he had to draw each one difficultly when they were supposed to be quick solutions. 
    For the last time, he unwrapped the bo shuriken from his thigh and secure the tanto in their place. Then he secured the bo shuriken to his waist using his belt. This way he could draw the bo shuriken quickly, as they are tools for an immediate response. If he choose, he could draw the entire tanto from his thigh, which will further enable his close combat capabilities. After they secured, he did a round of tricks and aerials to make sure they were harnessed properly, and they were.

Description: By Bodrak the Broken Page Count 1,500 pgs. This massive, six-inch-thick tome has a cover made of meticulously stitched albino bat skin wound around a thigh bone. Every available space is covered in notes and equations written in several different hands. The writings of Bodrak, however, remain impossible to miss, as they are written in a brilliant crimson ink that has not faded with time or use. This book grants a +30 competence bonus to Craft checks for Alchemy. Moreover, the book is full of timesaving hints, reducing the time required to make items by +5 (Example: Base Crafting time is 1/3rd of item cost. This book improves crafting time by +5 making it 1/8 of item cost).

Godric entered the training area. He had a few books with him. Finding a bench and passively watching the ongoings he dove right into this book. It was Bodrak the Broken. There was a long preface describing his life. The Broken tag upon his name noted his various short comings and flaws. After the introduction he got into the observations of this scientist of Alchemy. He read through a few chapters and started noticing interesting deductions in logic. He found that this person actually tried most of his works. The experimentations of his work that its. The monicor 'the Broken' now made a bit more sense to him.

There were many poisons that this person had discovered and methodologies to process them. He noted that each poison this person would use on himself. Though he had built such a tolorance to it that it was unfathomable. It cost the man a price to do such and his face had sores all over it for life. What a life that was he thought as he continued to read the affects of each poison and how things were catagoriezed. After which it noted proper handling proceedures and how one is not to mess up the concosion. It seemed oxidization was a serious threat to the whole process. He kept that in mind as he continued his read.

Godric laughed as he got to the other types of potions and different methods to make them into powders. The methods were outstanding insites and all but reading that this person snorted the substance every time, he could only imagine how this person was in person. He also wondered how his blood would taste. Reading some of the effects of these mixtures he noted the proper way to do most of these things. Godric marked a few pages for quick reference and his own personal use. The idea that he did not need to experiment as much gave himself a sense of relief. All in all he was close to completing the book, and found it to be very informative and entertaining.

Shunshin no Jutsu - Oshi (Body Flicker Technique - Push)

Drawback: May use 3 times a day. May perform 1 more each time learned. Passing amount renders the user's legs immobile due to severe pain. Unable to perform again unless gained medical treatment. Must move through an opening. Unable to maneuver around obstructing objects. Can't attack while performing any Shunshin or Variation.
Description: User is able to move forward in a straight line along the ground in almost instantaneous untraceable speed while temporarily masking the user's movements within 10 meters. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by focusing the user's chi along the ankles and foot. User mostly moves just with their ankles and feet. Jutsu takes up no movements. User may only use this Jutsu half of the movements may allow in a single round while rounding down. Example: User has 5 movements, user is able to perform Jutsu 2 times per round.
Limit: Universal NinJutsu or Universal TaiJutsu.

    Having discovered variations of the shunshin no jutsu, Inoryu was eager to return to the practice. Thanks to the time compression ritual, his limit was restored for the day and he could procrastinate no longer. Though he had just learned about different variations of shunshin, this practice would focus more on improving his endurance. He wanted to figure out a way to strengthen his body so he could use shunshin more often. He meditated briefly and ideas came to him. 
    Inoryu figured that if he wanted to improve the endurance for shunshin, he would need to strengthen the muscles that the shunshin targets. He knew of some exercises that he learned in the ninja academy that strengthened his body. Without a second thought or hesitation, went got straight to it. He spread his feel shoulder length apart and began to squat repeatedly while keeping his back straight. To his knowledge, this targeted his thighs, hamstrings and glutes. 
    The Yamanaka did fifty squats in proper form and transitioned to the next exercise. He couldn't recall the name of the next exercise, but the execution was simple. Standing with his feet together, he stands on his tippy-toes and repeats the movement without his heel touching the ground. He thought he was remembering the name of the exercises, calf raises, but he wasn't quite sure. He counted one for every calf raise, up to a hundred.

    Doing calisthenics fell in line with the philosophy of gintsuki no seiko mai, as in he was making his body stronger but not in the form of body building. To keep his body balanced, he also did calisthenic exercises to target every other muscle of his body as well, then he resumed his focus on practice for the shunshin no jutsu. He returned to doing squats and calf raises. He squatted low in proper form, keeping his back straight and completed another 50, making it 100 in total and could really feel his upper legs burning. Then he completed another 100 calf raises, making it 200 in total. The burning sensation in his calves were somehow unique in the way it radiated throughout his body, even feeling it somehow in his lower abs. 
    He went on to complete another circuit to strengthen his entire body. He wasn't building his muscle because that would hinder his skill in gintsuki no seiko mai, which required a more balanced and nimble body. Then Inoryu went on to complete another 50 squats and 100 more calf raises. One last time, he completed the circuit to target every muscle of his body. He felt that was enough attention on the exercise portion and was ready to focus on the nutritional aspect. He planned to eat a lot of protein, fruits and vegetables. 
    Yet, he still wasn't finished with exercise. He wanted to push himself into executing more shunshin. He executed three in a row, managing to travel across The Meadow for thirty meters in a matter of seconds. Afterwards, he didn't feel the familiar soreness that indicated he had reached his limit. He went on to execute the shunshin one more time, apprehensively, and managed it okay. After the fourth shunshin, he could feel the soreness in his legs. It was not enough to hinder his movements at all, but another shunshin would cause immense pain throughout his legs. He wanted to improve with shunshin, so he would focus on the nutritional value of his food. For now he would move on to train other jutsu.

    For now Inoryu was ready to put shunshin practice aside. His true potential lied in genjutsu and he felt ready to return to the practice. He was careful to work on other areas such as the wind release, taijutsu, and even a ritual so that he wouldn't overspecialize. He believed overspecializing would cause a major weakness and that balance was the best strategy. He also tried to show attention to the areas that he was considered lacking to remove any kind of weakness, so far he believed he was doing a pretty good job.
    On that note, he also knew that he had the most potential with genjutsu due to his nature, and he was ready to explore that more. The last time he really dove into genjutsu practice, he was casting the phantasm perception. This time he wanted to take a more defensive stance to become more resilient genjutsu. He weaved his fingers into the shadow clone hand seal and produced one in a ten meters in front that appeared holding the same hand seal through a quick burst of smoke. With the idea of training already suggested in his mind, he virtually got right to it. 
    The shadow clone quickly began weaving through multiple series of hand seals. The first four was a to cast the boomer phantasm, the next eight hand seals were for the awakened fears jutsu. Inoryu recognized them immediately and relied on something similar to faith to overcome. The first genjutsu that Inoryu recognized as boomer did not take effect. The second was a disbelief genjutsu that would have some effect as it bypassed natural resistance to a degree. Inoryu perceived the subconscious fears of his mind take shape as phantasms all around him, that couldn't be helped. Though he could see the phantasm, Inoryu's subconscious recognized them as genjutsu as had no further effect.

    The shadow realized that Inoryu's mind wouldn't be so easily deceived so he decided to take it up a notch. The next two series of hand seals Inoryu recognized as the vertigo and phantom assailants genjutsu, both C-ranked phantasms and disbelief. Inoryu shuddered as he became dizzy and watched as the ground below him seem to drop away beneath his feet. Suddenly the effect seemed to crescendo as his mind disbelieved the phantasm. He prepared himself for the next phantasm. 
    The phantom assailants genjutsu was also a phantasm, and again Inoryu was being subjugated by nightmarish creatures. Though they were threatening, Inoryu's subconscious did not believe the genjutsu and they dispersed harmlessly. Inoryu sighed with relief as both the genjutsu effects had been nullified. The shadow clone sensed that his genjutsu were so far failing, but he continued nonetheless, choosing to amp it up another degree. The shadow began another series of hand seals. 
    Inoryu recognized the first series of hand seals as the phantom foe genjutsu. When the hand seals were completed, the phantasm of a beaked terror appeared in reality, causing Inoryu to divert his attention from the shadow clone's next series of hand seals. Inoryu believed the phantasm subconsciously and the beaked terror struck him with his beak. He had one more chance to disbelieve the phantasm or suffer the effects of the cowering condition. Luckily, he managed to disbelieve.

    Inoryu had no time to celebrate as the effects of the second genjutsu began to set in. He began to feel a spiking fever, vertigo, and a phantasmagorical confusion of the senses. He believed the phantasms and suddenly felt exhausted. He dropped to one knee as he struggled with his perceived condition. The shadow clone's fever dream genjutsu was ultimately successful and if he were on a mission, he would be in trouble. 
    The signs of genjutsu were clear, despite it being successful. He knew the genjutsu and have himself cast it many times in practice. It was cast by his shadow clone in the spirit of genjutsu training. There was no doubt that it was a phantasm that was effecting him now so he immediately began working to dispel it. He began concentrating on his chakra. 
    He turned his attention inward, as far from the genjutsu as he could and stopped the flow of his chakra. He took his time to create an even stronger power to disrupt the flow of the shadow clone's chakra. His first attempt was unsuccessful and he was forced to gather himself a moment before making a second attempt. Still in the throes of the fever dream, he managed to gather himself to try again. He focused inward and stopped the flow of chakra. He gathered internal power and used it to disrupt the shadow clone's chakra. From that point, the fever dream dissipated and Inoryu returned to normal.

    Relieved, Inoryu's attention focused again on the shadow, to watch the hand seals and anticipate the next genjutsu. However, Inoryu knew that the fever dream genjutsu was the highest ranked genjutsu that he knew with permanently paralyzing or killing the subject. He expected an onslaught of fever dreams for now on. As he expected, the shadow clone began to weave the relative hand seals. Inoryu prepared for phantasmal sickness. 
    The fever dream came in waves, like a fever pulse. It would come, disappear and come again as the shadow clone cast it and Inoryu disbelieved it repeatedly. It was after the sixth attempt that the exhaustion kicked in but that exhaustion was quickly reduced to fatigue. To make things worse, the fever dream effects continued to pulse as it was cast and recast. Still he had to deal with fatigue. 
    When the shadow clone ran out of momentum, Inoryu used the opportunity to quickly gather himself and try to dispel the genjutsu. It took him but a small effort to dispel the effects and soon he was up again on his feet. He was relieved that he had some respite from the shadow clone's phantasms, but the training was not over. He hardened his resolve to continue training in this manner. Without his knowing it, the training was already producing favorable results.

Yuri walked through the training grounds as she made her way over to Godric. Finally she had found herself a teacher could learn her some Santoryu. She had learned quite a bit, but she had a limited amount of time with her former teacher. So now that she had found herself a new one, it was about time she got to work. Yuri stood before Godric with her hand on her hip as she stared at him reading his book, "Ok, nerd... enough of that. Let's get down to some strainious physical activities. Also let's train." Yuri said jokingly as she waited for the Dark hand to get himself off of his butt, and learn her something.

Peeking up over the book he noted the Kusakage. "Is this an order..." he said with a raised brow. Lowering the book he was smiling of course, and with a snap it was closed. Standing and hoisting his multi weapon holster up to his hip, he stretched his arms across his chest."Anything in particular you would like to learn. How far are you in your forms?" he questioned.
