Kagemane no Jutsu, (Shadow Imitation Technique)Rank: "C" Rank
Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: The signature move of the Nara family, this jutsu allows the user to control their own shadow and merge it with their opponent's shadow, combining them. This links the movements of the user with the target; the target is subsequently forced to make any movement the user makes. It is an extremely versatile technique, as the user can contract and change the shape of their shadow, potentially grabbing multiple targets at once. The degree to which the user's shadow can be stretched is limited by its total surface area.
Special: Seals are used but unknown.
Drawback: Must Be Learned Multiple times in order to truly achieve something grand.
Description: Using the shadows of other objects, the user can extend their shadow beyond its normal range. The amount of time for which an opponent can be held is limited by the user's chakra, since the user must constantly maintain the jutsu. The jutsu is also more difficult to maintain at greater ranges or for multiple opponents, since the user's shadow must be stretched constantly. At closer ranges, it requires considerably less effort on the user's part. Additionally, the target can force their way free with enough effort, though the amount of effort required to do so is considerable. There are two tables or understandings for this technique that consists of the Difficulty class of the User as well as the Opponent, and as to how far the user is capable of using this technique. When first learned the user is only capable of using this technique at a distance of ten meters. Each time this technique is learned the distance increases by another Ten Meters. The user is capable of making their shadow split and by doing so takes up the distance of the total form of the original technique. This means that if a user has this technique to where they can use thirty meters and wishes to make this technique split to three shadows the maximum distance is ten meters per shadow.
Difficulty on Escaping: If the user is the same Difficulty Class as that of the opponent, it takes five rounds for the user to be capable of escaping if they try to escape the whole time. For every rank higher the user is from the opponent the technique lasts for one more round. For every rank the user is below the opponent the number of rounds decrease by one. Now for every two people you trap the technique decreases by holding by one round. This means that if you are a D-Difficulty Class, fighting against two D-Difficulty classes and achieved to where you have caught both of them, you can only hold them for four rounds.
Limit: Nara Clan Technique
OOC: I've been gone for a while, inactive, trouble with school, and things like that... but i plan to be very active this time around. i'll be training on my Kagemane No Jutsu, working it up to the 20 meter level. wish me luck.
Kazumaru was exhausted. He had just woken up from the previous day, and regreted setting his alarm to 5:30 in the morning. Regaurdless, it was the best time to train for maximum results. Kazumaru, watching carefully the patterns of the village his entire life, had noticed that earlier in the morning, there was more sun, and less rain. Having less people around to annoy him was an added bonus, seeing as how he wasnt terribly sociable. The most useful thing about proceding to train at such hours, was the lack of clouds. clouds were always a factor in The Village Hidden In The Rain, seeing as how it rained often. Today, at this time, it wasnt raining, and the sun was glistening in the sky. Less clouds, for Kazumaru meant less shadows. Not very helpful in a combat situation, however, with less shadows to help kazumaru's reach with his Kagemane No Jutsu, the more challenging, and better for training it would be for kazumaru. With less shadows, Kazumaru would be forced to learn to stretch his shadow further. But what a drag, Kazumaru had to wake up so early to train... well, at least he would get used to it. He knew if he had asked his friend Anata Shesha to wake up, and train here with him, Ananta would be here earliar than even Kazumaru. But Kazumaru needed no human comfort. Not at this moment.
Focusing his chakra, Kazumaru began to accelerate movement in his shadow, preforming numorous excersizes. The shadow would shake, change shape, and even stretch itself, as Kazumaru prepared. His shadow was a little stiff, or rather, his chakra flow was. it was always worse first getting out of bed. The shadow twitched quickly, as if to be shaking itself out after the stretches, paused for a moment, then lashed out into two parts, preforming a pincer manuever on Kazumaru's target: a nearby stump. The strike reached, as Kazumaru then conjoined the two ends of the shadow, forming it back into one. "now, lets try a target a little further away..." he thought, as he looked at a large oak tree, averaging 15 meters from Kazumaru's posission. Just out of his reach. He let his shadow loose, stretching it to full capacity. he could feel his chakra draining, as he attempted to stretch his shadow... 10 meters.... 11 meters... Kazumaru gasped a large breath of air, and his shadow retracted back into place. With a grin, Kazumaru looked at the spot at which his shadow had stopped at. it was 1 meter longer than his normal distance. Not being overly proud of himself, Kazumaru made hand signs, and attempted the jutsu again. 9 meters... The shadow had stopped. 9 meters wasnt Kazumaru's normal distance, in fact, it was one less. retracting his shadow, and slumping, exhausted, against a tree, Kazumaru looked at the spot where his shadow had stopped, and became disgusted. Training, and accomplishments, were usually not things he held in high esteam. He left those for the hero's and fools who wished to make something of themselves... but at this, Kazumaru felt a slight pang of dissapointment. what would ananta think if he thought Kazumaru's ability was decreasing? that he may no longer be fit to protect him from constant taunting, or from enemies... real enemies... He felt a small responsibility for ananta, so he urged himself to stand. stand and try again, for one day, he too would make something of himself. Not a hero... not a fool... not even one who strives to protect the things he holds dear... but someone strong... yes, he would at least become that. And with that, Kazumaru stood.
