Shida made his way towards the postal center, running across roof tops and leaping over great gaps. The village had been quite busy so taking the "ninja route" was always the quickest and most efficient, especially since it was good exercise. It was the least he could do for himself, feeling as though a task like this was beneath him and his capabilities. Whether that was true or not was of no real importance. He had a job to do and he would see it through. It's what his father would have wanted. It's what he needed. As Shida agilely made his way across the roof tops he took too the habit of making a mental map of where ever he was going. The village was a rather large place and it would be easy to get lost even having spent your time growing up there.
Fond memories of his childhood came to him. While his dad was out on missions the young kaguya would be running the streets, playing shinobi. The village was so big it felt like the entire world had lived there. He smiled a bit, even now as a young man, he found the village to be something to marvel at. Shida shook these thoughts away and scolded himself. He was on a mission, it would be best not to let his mind wander, even if all he was doing was delivering mail.
Moments later Shida would find himself at the mail center. It was a fairly large building, many people coming and going through various entrances and exits. The occasional messenger bird flying over head. It was almost like a beehive, each person carrying out a specific task. A hive full of worker bees tasked with the mundane. Pick something up, take it somewhere else, return repeat. It was mundane! It was lackluster! It was...how he was going to be spending the rest of his afternoon. Reluctantly he entered the building. A soldier bee never felt so out of place.
