Because of this these weapons cannot be carried between multiple nations, and will return to dust during travel.

Ryutatsu was far from done. He knew there was someway to strengthen the blades that he formed from Earth and used. It was finding that right combination of materials. He knew what he used in forges and how wood made good materials. But now he was bonding soil, dirt, and stone to perform the same function. And that was not as easy.

Ryutatsu knew it wouldn't be as sturdy as his metal or carved whole stone. Nut each iteration of the blades that he used came closer to that ideal. Ryutatsu was a master sword smith and that came in handy for it required having a good mental image of the result. But more than that he was feeling his way through the Earth and extracting the right combination of material to make his swords.

These were of course no good for selling but in the craziness of the battlefield, this was a cheaper way of gaining a weapon. Besides Ryutatsu knew that in purely unarmed situations any advantage was a good advantage. He still was keeping up with Emily and Orlando but those two were pressing him hard as he had to keep coming up with a new weapon every block.

The last blade lasted for thirty seconds before it faded from him. But still any strong hits tore it to pieces in Ryutatsu's hands. That was fine however in his mind at the moment as he tried to get the current blade in his hand to last longer. When one faded he would reach his hand out towards the ground and another would form.

Over and over again, Orlando, Emily, and Ryutatsu would do this dance as he tried to defend himself from their assault. This was actually invaluable to him for this set of techniques relied less on hand seals than some of his others. But still even better it was pushing him to his limits as he sparred with two of such a caliber.

Ryutatsu was actually smiling and having fun as he changed out blades once again. Not that blade breaking or fading paused their attack. Each of them were able to get small breaks as they changed out here and there. But Ryutatsu had no such respite. It was a bit of training in endurance as well as the Earth Sword techniques when it came to combat like this.

Ryutatsu shook his head as yet another sword broke on him. But it got his mind working on changing it up a bit to things other than longswords. That was one part people under estimated in him. Ryutatsu was indeed a master swordsman but he was decent at the use of pole arms and short blades as well. That and his unarmed wasn't anything to sneeze at either, he just wasn't as good at them.

Ryutatsu figured if he changed his concentration to a bladed Pole arm it would at least give him more time to react as he would use it to create space. The constant creation of weapons though was wearying. It was using physical stamina as well as chakra to create such things by will alone. There was no hand seals or extravagant movements. It was reach out and out from the earth a weapon would appear.

Ryutatsu used this to his advantage even though Orlando and Emily were already adapting to his tactics. His emerald eyes though continued to reflect his grin as he fought. Despite the dirt, sweat, and blood of training like this he was enjoying himself. Nothing was more freeing than combat training. What makes it exciting and good for him though was the challenge.

Ryutatsu's staff sword didn't last any longer than his long-swords but it served it's purpose. It was an interesting thing to form other weapons than his swords. Because of his knowledge and career as a weapon smith he knew how they should be shaped and function. But it was obvious for while he was amazing at the sword he was sub par with anything else. Short blades or long he was good however.

Ryutatsu could even wield the largest of blades, Full-blade with ease. And it showed as each time he reached out to the ground for a different weapon. As the weapons formed he would pull it from the ground and wield it with the skill of a practiced martial artist. When it was a sword of any sort, the skill he displayed was without equal. It was when it was something else that his skill fell off somewhat.

That didn't eliminate Ryutatsu's very good senses or reflexes but he made mistakes whe wouldn't with a sword. It like compensating for differing weights or reactions to wind drag coefficients. Further because these weapons lacked significant metal for him to manipulate, he couldn't use his blood abilities to do some of his other tricks. Either way however he held his own so far.

Ryutatsu kept trying to change tactics and add an element of uncertainty into his combat style. The thing was he felt that he was too predictable. All of his style so far relied on him closing the distance and quickly. Effective, it certainly was. But there was the problem if the person could dodge or somehow survive that initial hit, then the whole battle sways out of his favor quickly.

Having an initial advantage was good but he needed to get himself a more general advantage. The Fluid transformation and Fabrication of different weapons out of one of the most readily available materials was one way to do that. Besides because this lacked hand seals Ryutatsu realized a distinct advantage that it was harder to interrupt and harder to predict.

Another advantage was that it didn't rely on his lightning and metal affinities and yet still complimented them. That was very important to Ryutatsu. As he sparred with two of the instructors that he hire and knew well his mind was always thinking of the next several moves. So even as he reached for a weapon he already knew when and where he was going to need another one.

Another thing that was bothering Ryutatsu was while the weapons were improving incrementally, they didn't look much like the real thing. Their use and abilities were exactly as the weapons he meant to create should be. But the fusion of stone and soil didn't look like much. Then again it was about did it do the job, being the foremost important part.

Ryutatsu was getting the hand of the various weapons he could make. Interestingly enough it actually got him to use shield for the first time really. He never relied on a shield because it committed the user to a turtle like defense which was no way to win a match. But seeing Zuruel and his usages of it brought to mind that it wasn't true for everyone.

Then again though while Zuruel could handle a sword, that man showed more adept at the shield. Ryutatsu on the other hand could make any blade do whatever he felt like because it was more than an extension of his body. It was his body as far as he was concerned. Mentally though he understood that need for other weapons, hence this training.

The constant breaking of his swords was starting to get to Ryutatsu. But then he thought about it more. Since they were formed with a bonding of his chakra to stone and earth couldn't he repair them that way. And instead of always creating a new weapon, repairing one would be less strain. It still took concentration and skill however.

Ryutatsu formed yet another sword but this one was a more jagged looking one. It was similar to his favored Rose Thorn Katana. By understand the bonding process Ryutatsu was going to reverse the damage done to his blade right after it happens. His blades were still fairly short lived but this way they would actually last the full half a minute.

Ryutatsu concentrated hard as he battled both Orlando and Emily. So hard was his focus for a short time there he stop reviewing old battles with those of great strength like Shiki and Zuruel or the five mercenaries of Claw. They pressed him so dearly that he just had time for action and reaction. It was a matter of muscle memory for the fight that was in hand.

Repairing the broken weapons, rather than finding a replacement was much simpler. And the chakra cost was much less on him. Ryutatsu was actually was feeling much less winded than he had been as he switched to this method of weapon renewal. He still needed a new weapon every so often which was in fairly short periods but that cost was much less. Soon though even he needed a break from the battle.

As he last weapon returned to dust he called a halt with heavy breath. He was sweating hard with the effort he was just put under. For a short period it was time to relax and cool down before the next round. It was a much needed break for all them. As they took their lunch and soaked a bit at the beach for their break, Ryutatsu went over what went right and wrong with the two instructors.

All three of them we talking about chakra drain, variations on techniques and overall strategies they used. It was a kind of active review as they rested their bodies. For the minds of Orlando, Emily, and Ryutatsu was still very active. That part didn't need a rest yet. And their rest was going to short lived anyways for this dojo thrived on the hard work they all put into it and their training.

Ryutatsu's break being done summoned up a new sword to be the one he worked with. His hand reached out towards the earthen floor that was his outside arena. This training area was the center piece of his training. The dojo boasted some of the best facilities around only being beat out by his cousin's place that dominated where ever he landed. But Ryutatsu's focus was a bit different than his cousin.

Everything was about the swords he produced and worked with. And this training with fabricated swords of earth and stone was another version of that. Water, Wood, Wind, Lightning, or Earth, it didn't matter to Ryutatsu. The quality and type of blade depicted tactics and strategy but not what made good sword work. Here he was proving that with shoddy replicas.

However his shoddy replicas lasted about half a minute but now he was able to repair them as they broke. Another thing was this form of sword making was one of the least exhausting on his chakra. It was weaker than using properly forged steel or even his Chidori and chakra blades. But they were getting closer to being equal to his petal and vine blades. Ryutatsu had no preference for all that he used his forged swords the most. It was out of convenience and lack of needing to waste chakra.

Ryutatsu was still getting physically drained as he performed his summons and repairs. it was different in a way as it was taking less chakra but it was taking more nutrients and stamina out of him instead. Even though it was formed of earth, the Earth within him seems to be a point in use to utilize this ability. Ryutatsu and his abilities with swords though was interesting in the fact even though he didn't know how to make most jutsus seal less he could still perform a wide range as such.

Even though Ryutatsu didn't realize it was partially due to his connection to swords and Earth. His Kyoudo blood made him one with energy, light, and sky with it's intensity with lightning. But it also was associated with metal which was of earth. That alone would have been enough but he was further planted with Ikebana heritage. He was of wood and flowers.

This meant he was of water and earth to create a living whole. Ryutatsu's connections to his heritage was deep as it was not understood well. Part of the reason he journeyed to the Land of Claw was to understand this since was abandoned so young. But he could feel it in his bones as he created and repaired the swords and weapons of Earth and Stone that he was using for training.

Using stronger mineral and metallic compositions found deep beneath the land, weapons created with Semblance Forge are of a higher grade of construction, with the strength to match. When first learned, Semblance Forge weapons have 1/4 the usual damage bonus and gain an additional 10 armor points in durability, as well as an additional 5 Armor Points in durability for each rank after that. At "C" rank, Semblance Forge weapons confer 1/2 the usual damage bonus. At "B" rank, they confer 3/4 of the normal damage bonus, and at "A" rank they are fully the equal of the true item imitated. The "S" rank of this technique goes beyond even this, to a new height of craftsmanship - Semblance Forge weapons confer 1.5 times the standard damage bonus, though as with all weapons this bonus is limited to a maximum of +48.

Even with the easier time, Ryutatsu was having forming his Earthen blades and being able to reform them, he was still not satisfied. Ryutatsu's blades were still short lived and weak. It offended his pride in his work that they were obvious and more so, shoddy. They were so shoddy a single block still broke them. It gave him the time to complete a dodge with a reflected attack but still.

Ryutatsu needed to strengthen his weapons. With being able to form blades out of pure light that were tougher than these he knew he was doing something wrong. Then it came to him, it was the mixture of minerals he was using still. He needed to use stuff from even deeper and stronger in composition. The quality of the material dictated the quality of the blade even with normal smithing.

Ryutatsu then began his concentration on feeling out with his electromagnetic metallic sense deeper into the ground to find those materials. This would not always be the most practical way of doing things but it would at least give him more options when he found himself needing weapons. Ryutatsu did this still though under the pressure of combined assaults of Emily and Orlando.

Ryutatsu smiled as he was able to make his blades a bit sturdier. They still couldn't stand a strong hit but could take decent ones. They were just stone blades so it wasn't unusual for them to be a bit weaker. Further his blades were starting to get sharper which meant they were starting to match his ideal for swords. Ryutatsu liked that his blades were improving.

But still in Ryutatsu's mind it wasn't quite enough. Training was for the purpose though to reach the ideal that Ryutatsu was reaching for. Ryutatsu was a sword master and was yet to reach that plane of unparalleled skill. Ryutatsu was slowly closing in on that however. And this was amazing in one so young. He had just reached teenage years but was already a swords master of great skill and reflexes.

But then again it was the life of a shinobi that provided a degree of danger and training into the chakra arts that accelerated his development. So this young man, who was the cousin of the white wolf, and Loki the Witch's Little Wolf developed his Earthen blades through repeated use. Slowly his blades became stronger and more durable. Each iteration was slightly better than the last.
