    Inoryu paid close attention to Seiryu's lesson and imagined ways that the enchantment perception could use to discourage enemies. Inoryu crossed his arms, closed his eyes and smirked, "I see. While the enchantment perception has great potential to strengthen your allies, it also has the potential to be debilitating for your opponents." 

    The Yamanaka paused, "Enchantments truly are an intriguing study," he said, "Thank you for sharing your knowledge." The young genin would return to practicing the hand seals pertinent to enchantments. He had memorized the hand seals for several jutsu in the perception and would practice them quietly.

Any Jutsus currently active in the area that determine their effects by means of allies will likely fail because of this, and Jutsus that affect enemies will attempt to affect everyone within the 15 meters radius area of this Jutsu. Targets of Fractured Unity will not disengage from melee to heal others, request aid of any sort, or offer help to others. If an affected person has beneficial Jutsus that could affect themselves as well as others, they will perform them on themselves in preference to sharing them. (this does not force them to perform these Jutsus; it merely keeps the target from wasting them on other beings if the opportunity to use the Jutsus arises.) Any Jutsu or tactic that relies on supporting allies (such as flanking) also fails to work during this Jutsu.

[Second Post Ungraded

His mind had drifted off soon after he spoke, escaping into another flashback as the last of his sentence left his mouth. He had been in a small clearing, similar to the one the two shinobi were standing in now. Far gone from his parents, the young Uchiha was off training what seemed to be his ninjutsu, perfecting not only his craftsmanship but his efficiency as well. The lands of Ame was no place for a child to be off alone; if the bandits and criminals didn't kill you, surely the wild beasts of Ame no kuni would. And so far from the protection of his parents made Itada easy prey– unbeknownst to the Uchiha, he was being watched.

To be honest, they had been watching him for awhile. A ragtag group of bandits, amateur at best, hid in the bushes surrounding the clearing. They watched him closely– observing– studying– preying on the young warrior. The bandit closest to the Uchiha eyes began to wander. They moved from Itada to his ally, and there was something strange about what he had seen. The man he was looking at had fought many battles within him, plundered many villages; and yet, here he was, looking at what he would've called his brother... with disgust. A mask of hatred? No. Anger.

No.. he looked at his comrade with a face of animosity. It wasn't just him though; twelve or thirteen thick was their squad, and now each of them looked among one another with distrust. They knew the mission, and knew what they had to do, but they no longer trusted the men they had allied with.

There was little that could escape the eyes of an Uchiha; Itada had known about the bandits long before they even got close– the signs he did while practicing his ninjutsu, those were actually signs to bring about his genjutsu. These bandits' minds was weak– he had simply walked right in.

When he came back to he looked toward Inoryu, who was practicing his own enchantment techniques off to the side. Itada watched, thinking he might as well get some practice as well. He pondered on if she should improve his old technique, or train into new ones.

    Inoryu continued weaving through the hand seals, slowly at first. But if one were to watch him, Inoryu picked up his speed and paused only after a segment was finished. He would then start a new segment and he would keep increasing his speed until his hands appeared to blur. He believed that his natural talent for picking up hand seals and weaving through them with incredible speed was unrivaled. However, this day brought about a new perception with the introduction of one handed seals. He thought the technique was very impressive and he knew it is something he must learn. 

    A few seconds have passed and Inoryu had weaved through 75 hand seals. He took a breather and scrutinized the Rain-nin. Itada's presence was mysterious as ever. Even after taking a brief moment to learn something else about him, Itada offered nothing. 

    Inoryu, a little bit frustrated that he couldn't penetrate this shroud of mystery around the Rain-nin, was pushed in new ways to discover more about him. Without averting his eyes, Inoryu said, "I am willing to stand as your temporary genjutsu training partner. You may hit me with a genjutsu and let's discover how far into madness I can descend and if I can come out of it in tact."

    If Itada agreed, then Inoryu would be sure to learn more about him. By offering himself to Itada's genjutsu, Inoryu would also open a path into his mind. Whatever jutsu he chooses, however potent or disturbed, will reveal something about the genjutsu practitioner's technique and method. Also, it would give Inoryu an estimation of his own skill compared to Itada's. If Itada refused however; then nothing gained, nothing lost.

Dazing Aura

Itada would agree to the Kusa shinobi's request.

Without wasting time, the Uchiha brought together his hands as he had done many times before, twisting, manipulating them into signs for ninjutsu; his chakra responded accordingly, surging throughout his figure in response to the technique. It would seep outside his skin via the pores in his skin; all within three meters of him would see this as simply pale white energy, grayed and loose like that of steam. The daze aura clung to his figure tightly, never extending far from the Uchiha's body.

In truth, he hadn't yet mastered this technique. He had only begun studying it recently, and although he could manifest the aura somewhat, it lacked intensity and failed to erupt in the jutsu's intended effect.

"Do me a favor, Inoryu. Try to touch me", Itada said.

If he had performed the technique to its' truest potential, Inoryu would feel as if he was under the dazed effect. If not, which Itada predicted would be the case, he would feel nothing. Itada would simply have to wait for his partner to attempt a melee action to tell if he had performed the technique correctly. He felt comfortable i his execution of it, but something did feel .... off.

For now, he'd proceed with the test.

    Inoryu hardened his resolve as Itada weaved through a number of hand seals. Whatever happens next, Inoryu would have no regrets. He wasn't afraid however, his instinct as a Yamanaka was too strong. The desire to gain Intelligence was on the verge of being compulsive thanks to the long and hard study of the Yamanaka Clan jutsu with his father. He was willing to pay to learn something, anything about the mysterious Rain-nin that stood across from him.

    A pale, white steam began to radiate from Itada and clung closely to shroud him. Inoryu studied the jutsu with vehement focus. His subconscious mind searched through the entire depth of Inoryu's knowledge of genjutsu to try and understand the phenomenon happening before him. As he studied the jutsu, his mind was clear, yet open, to new perceptions.

"Do me a favor, Inoryu. Try to touch me", Itada said. 

    Inoryu willingly offered to be placed under a genjutsu of Itada's choosing, and his resolve didn't change after the pale, white aura appeared. To further understand Itada and his jutsu, the Yamanaka would reach out and place his hand on Itada's shoulder, willing to face the effects of the white shroud around him.

Inoryu didn't hesitate reaching out to grasp the Uchiha's shoulder, willingly subjecting himself to the Uchiha's genjutsu. Fortunately, the technique the Uchiha had chosen was a relatively safe one; the only purpose of this technique to capture the target in a daze on their next attack. The two were simply training, and so the melee attack would be substituted for a simple touch of the shoulder, which was necessary to produce the desired results of the genjutsu. Before the blonde haired ninja's arm would even make contact with Itada, the hazy white aura would jump from his body in anticipation of it claiming its' victim.

Unsure of if the technique was complete or not, Itada paid close attention to the way his chakra reacted with Inoryu's; as a single target genjutsu, he would be able to tell instantly whether or not his genjutsu would affect the shinobi from Kusa. The Uchiha stared in the face of his partner as his chakra looked to infiltrate the boy's silhouette. Inoryu was no amateur to the art of genjutsu, however, and Itada wouldn't be surprised if the blue eyed boy would be able to resist the effects of the illusion.

He watched in anticipation, curious to see how his technique would fare against the young master illusionist.

    Suddenly, Inoryu lost his train of thought and couldn't remember what he had been thinking. Unbeknownst to him, a proverbial mental barrier kept him from processing information. All that he could do was observe; a ninja standing before him, close enough that Inoryu could see the dark of his eyes. Thunder...rain...powerful and random gusts of wind. 

    The elements ravaged the Heavens outside of the shelter; elements that Inoryu was unfamiliar with. He was hypnotized by the experience. He listened and watched as the rainstorm rumbled on...unyielding... A gust of wind caused him to shiver. It was a chilly, Inoryu enjoyed it. 

    A resemblance of a thought was forming in his mind, but he suddenly lost it and forgot what he was thinking about. Didn't matter. The thunder, the rain, and even the gusts of wind thrilled him.

It happened in an instant—

— the moment the chakra aura wrapped itself around young Inoryu the boy would find himself trapped within the prison of his mind, shackled and locked away under the curtain of Itada's genjutsu. It surprised him; he half expected the blonde haired shinobi to shrug off the illusion with ease. Perhaps in his eagerness to master the technique, the Uchiha had fueled the jutsu with too much chakra. Locked in the repercussion of the Daze technique, Inoryu simply stood in the position he had when he reached out to initiate the genjutsu.

"Come back, Inoryu", Itada spoke as he outstretched his hand to touch the blonde haired genin's shoulder, pushing chakra from within his center into the body of the genjutsu master; this would break the boy from the grasp of the genjutsu, restoring him to his former self. As he did this, Itda would bring his other hand up and about complete a new series of seals. This new technique, would be nothing like the first; in fact, the blonde haired Kusa ninja probably wouldn't even be able to tell he was under the effects of this technique.

Recently awoken from his slumber, Itada would greet young Inoryu as he came back to his senses.

"My apologies, Inoryu. I did not think that technique would best you", he said apologetically.

    After being released from the genjutsu, Inoryu had returned to his senses and even regained his train of thought. As if standing underneath the waterfall of liquid knowledge, his spirit was awakened once again. He remembered travelling to the Land of Rain, encountering Itada Seiryu; the shinobi standing before him, and willingly subjecting himself to Itada's genjutsu for the sake of Intelligence, "Itada...Seiryu..." 

    "That pale white aura," Inoryu thought, "Upon touching it, it induces a dazed effect onto the person. The aura came off of him enough that it acted as a ward against melee attacks, capable of totally negating them if the other person succumbs to the jutsu. The pale, white aura is gone now though: it appears that the jutsu has ended." His cognitive functions no longer impaired, Inoryu was also able to surmise that he had been in a daze for just a short moment. Though this wasn't an accurate depiction of the duration of its effects because Itada had cancelled the jutsu with a Genjutsu Dispel.  

"My apologies, Inoryu. I did not think that technique would best you."

    Inoryu took a moment to read the situation before bowing his head in humility, "You got me." What he also got was some insight on Itada and the jutsu he used. "A defensive genjutsu, potent enough to negate melee attacks and possibly more. His focus profound enough to entrap even me, who is naturally inclined towards the use of illusions," he thought. "Who exactly is this person? He is absolutely a contender of genjutsu."

The failure to negate the Uchiha's genjutsu had distracted the Kusagakure shinobi from the technique Itada had used immediately after releasing the 'Daze' technique; he bowed his head in humility, yet the Uchiha saw no reason, but it was for this reason that the grass ninja had failed to notice the second genjutsu technique Itada had placed upon him: Favour's Focus. This genjutsu was quite different from the last; while it still needed a melee action for it to be activated, its' effects were different. Where as the previous technique had stunned Inoryu and put him in a daze, this one worked to increase the difficulty of illusions which assaulted the victim's mind.. Harmless on its' own, but when used collectively with other techniques it held the possibility of ripping minds asunder.

"There is no shame in failure, Inoryu; there is only knowledge and experience", Itada spoke to the boy. Although he possessed impressive genjutsu prowess, he was still susceptible to the illusions of another.

Itada would say no more beyond that, wondering if the young shinobi understood exactly what it was he meant.

    Coming out of his daze, Inoryu failed to notice that the contact Itada made with him not only dispelled the stupor he was in, but also was used to cast a second genjutsu. Using what he had learned from Itada's previous technique, however, he would attempt to make deductions of the man standing before him. He had taken a risk, now he would reap the rewards.

    "A genjutsu used as a deterrent from melee attacks, and puts the attacker in a daze. This could mean that he has a lack of taijutsu skill and would use genjutsu as a deterrent, or that he is competent in taijutsu and would use that genjutsu to give him an edge while fighting close quarters," he thought. "By the looks of that longsword, I presume the latter. That may mean his alignment is as a genjutsu and taijutsu specialist. If this were true and he is a more rounded ninja, then his ninjutsu may not be bad either. But his last alignment is still a mystery. What else does he have up his sleeve?" 

    "You're right, Itada, thank you," Inoryu said humbly, as he considered Seiryu's words. He was beginning to wonder if he could possibly make friends with Seiryu and improve relations with The Rain. This is the first time in his life, after all, that he was meeting someone else with an aptitude for genjutsu. He felt a bond, one that was a respect for practitioners of the same craft; a painter appreciating another person's painting. Inoryu would loosen up a little because the results of subjecting himself to Itada's genjutsu inadvertently began to build some trust; at least for now. He believed that Seiryu truly did not mean him any harm, today. He decided he would try and make the most out of today's encounter, "Would you like to be my training partner? By this, I only mean to train genjutsu and vice-versa, as a show of good faith."

From Inoryu's demeanor through their whole encounter, Itada got the feeling that this ninja from the Village in the Grass had not yet been exposed to the horrors of the shinobi world; he was full of energy, curiosity, and innocence. Not a bad list of traits, but would he be able to maintain that lack of guilt when it came down to the true responsibility of being a shinobi? Time would only give the answer.

"I've been training my genjutsu from the moment we met, Inoryu-kun"

The words slid from full lips like honey, coordinated and in sequence with his next action. As the last of the words left him, he would release the enchantment he had placed on the genin previously, and in turn Inoryu would feel the weight lift from his shoulders. The genjutsu was a tricky one; it hid itself from the target, and even if one were to naturally resist the technique, it would seemingly vanish without a trace. In other words, this technique was near untraceable, save for those with special doujutsu like himself. For the most part, Itada planned to focus on enchantments; mother had demonstrated that there were categories of genjutsu with concepts that he had yet to grasp, and that he first needed to learn and understand, master, the true principles of enchantments before he could continue on to the more advanced variations.

    The words that Sieryu spoke caused Inoryu to garner more respect for the Rain-nin, "Alright, let's begin," Inoryu said. He weaved through a specific series of hand seals and he would feel his chakra stimulating until he had a grasp of the precise measure necessary for the jutsu. The chakra rippled and would imbue a transparent quality. He would then perfect this property with the skill of a genjutsu master. If the jutsu was successful, he would vanish instantaneously, influenced by his chakra to become completely invisible to the naked eye.  

    In the presence of a skilled genjutsu practitioner, Inoryu would push the boundaries of the jutsu further than he has ever done before. He had studied the technique intensely, but before meeting Itada, he believed that his proficiency with the technique was adequate. But since crossing paths with the mysterious figure from the Land of Rain, his perception has changed and he was motivated to improve his technique and eager to become a more potent genjutsu user.

Description: Affects anyone who sees the target. The user is able to perform this technique on the target they touch. The duration of this technique lasts for 5 minutes per class level. This technique may be negated. The creature or object touched becomes invisible, vanishing from sight, even from darkvision. If the recipient is a creature carrying gear, that vanishes, too. If the user performs the Jutsu on someone else, neither the user nor their allies can see the subject, unless they can normally see invisible things. Items dropped or put down by an invisible creature become visible; items picked up disappear if tucked into the clothing or pouches worn by the creature. Light, however, never becomes invisible, although a source of light can become so (thus, the effect is that of a light with no visible source). Any part of an item that the subject carries but that extends more than 10 feet from it becomes visible, such as a trailing rope. Of course, the subject is not silenced, and certain other conditions can render the recipient detectable (such as stepping in a puddle). The Jutsu ends if the subject attacks any opponent. For purposes of this Jutsu, an attack includes any Jutsu targeting a foe or whose area or effect includes a foe. Actions directed at unattended objects do not break the Jutsu. Causing harm indirectly is not an attack. Thus, an invisible being can open doors, talk, eat, climb stairs, summon and have them attack. If the subject attacks directly, however, it immediately becomes visible along with all its gear.

(B)[??|40](Second Post)

Itada braced himself as he would allow Inoryu to begin the session. Understanding the skill and aptitude the genjutsu master possessed, Itada was curious to see just how skilled the Kusa genin was. He watched in anticipation as the boy flipped through a series of seals, quicker than average, but to one trained extensively in the art of observation it was no hassle to keep up. As he watched more and more, those seals he was performing looked awfully familiar to him, but it was only upon Inoryu's completion that he'd realize just what technique the boy used. Itada would, however, complete his own series of seals as the blonde did his.

It was only when he felt the the presence of glamour chakra and watched as the boy's physical formed dissipated into nothingness that Itada finally understood the technique his new ally utilized: Invisibility. It was a technique Itada had trained extensively in; camouflaging himself in an aura of chakra. his mastery so that he could both attack while under the spell, and cast it on one permanently. He wondered just what level this Inoryu was on. Regardless, he'd find out soon enough.

As his seals completed and the Kusa shinobi seemingly faded from sight, Itada disappeared himself, via the body flicker. He would appear behind the boy, palm filled with chakra from his Favour's Focus technique. Reaching out in an attempt to pat the boy on his back; if successful, he would find himself much more easily influenced by the Uchiha's genjutsu. If he had the will power to resist the enchantment, the trace of chakra that tried to affect him would be non-existent. With his arm outstretched, and most likely touching Inoryu, Itada would ask him just how efficient he was in that invisibility spell he had conjured.

"Are you able to attack while remaining hidden?", Itada asked, anxious and curious to know the strength of Kusagakure.
