Another Chosen Medium (Alchemist Minerals)
Rank: "C"
Skill: Supplementary
Effect: The Artisan can choose another material or element of their craft to specialize in.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: The Artisan can choose another material or element of their craft to specialize in. All use of the Craft Skill within this Specialist area is granted a +1 to their Craft Reduction time (Example Base Crafting time is 1/3rd of time cost. This Technique improves crafting time by +1 making it 1/4 of the time cost.). For Genius Artisans, it is possible to choose a medium that applies to both crafts, so for example, choosing a metal might apply to Weapons, Armour, Blacksmithing, and so on. This technique can stack with Chosen Medium.
Limit: Must be an Artisan. Must know Chosen Medium.

And it was as she went about sampling these armour thicknesses that she realised the method of bondage could have had a sizeable effect on the armours feel. She knew from prior experience that there was at least three different ways in which one could attach the sole to a leather shoe, simply glueing it, Goodyear welting, and Blake stitching. Each of these different methods served a different purpose and had a reason for their use.
Gluing, for example, was the cheapest, but its effects were generally perceived to be lower quality. Thus, applying this logic to armour crafting the youth proposed the idea that the manner in which she attached the various pieces of leather to one another could have a great impact on the final product, simply glueing them together perhaps was not as effective as sowing them together. Maybe a thinner glued product was inferior to a thicker stitched version?
One thing was clear, however, the latter method of sowing the layers together certainly consumed more time, so her test could take quite a bit of time. However, this was still just the start of a long journey into the mastery of this art, Yoko did not expect to become a master overnight. And she was quite willing to put the time in now so that she could create the perfect set of armour for herself rather than having to constantly upgrade it in the future.
