Ochiru Ame no Jutsu (Falling Rain Technique)
Rank: "D" through "S"
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect:
• "D" - Tara uses chakra to throw water either summoned through her Kuchiyose technique or water randomly lying around into the air and suspended there for a few turns, dependant on how much chakra Tara uses.
• "C" - Tara uses chakra to throw water either summoned through her Kuchiyose techniques or water randomly lying around into the air and is suspended there for a few turns, dependant on how much chakra Tara uses. More water is able to be thrown into the air for less chakra and suspended into the air for less chakra. The use of the rat hand sign can cause the technique to repeat itself.
• "B" - Tara uses chakra to throw water either summoned through her Kuchiyose techniques or water randomly lying around into the air and is suspended there for a few turns, dependant on how much chakra Tara uses. More water is able to be thrown into the air for less chakra and suspended into the air for less chakra. The use of the rat hand sign can cause the technique to repeat itself for less chakra. Repeated technique flies higher into the air and falls down slower once the water is unsuspended.
• "A" - Tara uses chakra to throw water either summoned through her Kuchiyose techniques or water randomly lying around into the air and is suspended there for a few turns, dependant on how much chakra Tara uses. More water is able to be thrown into the air for less chakra and suspended into the air for less chakra. The use of the rat hand sign can cause the technique to repeat itself for less chakra. Repeated technique flies higher into the air and falls down slower once the water is unsuspended. At this point, Tara no longer needs to have a water source for this technique. Water will fall from the air and follow the same rules as the aforementioned levels of the technique. Very small amount of chakra is necessary for the continued rainfall.
• "S" - Tara uses chakra to throw water either summoned through her Kuchiyose techniques or water randomly lying around into the air and is suspended there for a few turns, dependant on how much chakra Tara uses. At this stage, water will fall continously from the sky until Tara cancels the technique. Next to no chakra is needed to continue the rain.
Special: Dragon Horse Ram
Drawback: Nothing besides continous mana drain.
Limit: Anybody with advanced chakra control could learn this.
Kazumaru had decided to take a detour to his next training spot near the lake earlier, and purchased an umbrella… what looked like an ordinary umbrella was actually capable of holding twenty senbon within its folds. When he arrived at his new position, he took his umbrella off of his back. It had a strap attached to it that would allow Kazumaru to carry the umbrella on his back while the strap would reach across and around his torso.
He sat down with his new weapon and began thouroghly searching his mind for another jutsu to learn. He inserted the senbon he had bought into the slots on the umbrella… He began to think of how when he utilized the umbrella, spinning it and then throwing it up into the air, the senbon would fall like razor sharp rain drops upon his enemies… but what if rain all of a sudden could just stop…?
He wasn’t sure why he had this thought in his mind, But Kazumaru thought about it for a period of time. What if rain could just be suspended in air? The droplets would glisten with brilliance and beauty. This reminded Kazumaru of the Ochiru Ame no Jutsu… it wasn’t a jutsu that would do anything particularly harmful, but it was a prerequisite to certain other jutsu that could be helpful, and also it would be something enlightening to witness.
With the thought of suspending the very rain at the foremost of his thoughts, Kazumaru stepped onto the lake shifting chakra to his feet to hold his weight on the water. Every step he took made small ripples on the lake’s surface. He walked until he got to the center of the lake and there he began to form the correct hand signs. “Dragon Horse Ram… Dragon Horse Ram” He repeated this mantra several times, getting used to the signs he had to use. He attempted to memorize the signs and then continued with his preparation for the jutsu.
The hand signs were simple, but it took a while to memorize. There were so many jutsu that a ninja could master and then there were the many hand signs that came with them. There were so many combinations of hand signs that it was just staggering. However, Kazumaru flushed these thoughts out of his head and continued repeating the three hand signs involved in the jutsu he was teaching to himself over and over again.
For this jutsu, Kazumaru would need to channel chakra to hands and through the water so that when he threw it up into the air it would remain suspended in place due to the chakra. He began to concentrate his chakra flow to his hands so that it would transfer to objects he was holding. He attempted to get as much chakra into his palms without letting too much escape into his surroundings.
His hands began to glow slightly with an aura of chakra which meant he was pushing too hard. The chakra was being released into the air. This meant that he was pushing it too hard and using too much of it. He got his chakra under control and made the aura much smaller to where it would only affect anything that was in immediate contact with the palm of his hand.
After finishing with chakra control practice, Kazumaru submerged his hands under water, cupping them so that they would become filled with water. When his hands were full he took his hands out of the water while still holding some in his hands. He then funneled his chakra to the water in his hands making it look like it was giving off a slight glow. When this was finished, Kazumaru was ready to attempt at actually making the water float in mid air. He would have to concentrate hard on the water in front of him to keep it levitated… it would be a challenge.
