Appearance:
Lupe has a tapered face shape with sharp, focused green eyes, his resting facial expressions may present those of an intense, contemplative person, often giving off the appearance of being solemn or disinterested, yet the moment he breaks into a laugh or shows his sly smirk you can see elements of the laid-back and lighthearted person he is at his core. He has slightly thinner cheeks and a sharp chin. The green tinge of his eyes often are highlighted due to their contrast with his jet black hair and darker skinned complexion.
His skin tone is tanned, from his frequent time outdoors in the sun, the color of his skin is similar to that of Sand, fittingly enough. His hair, jet black and unkempt, is partially covered by a bandana/headcovering he often wears attached to which is the metallic forehead-protector bearing the Sunagakure insignia. Lean and able, his body type suits that of an agile fighter who values speed and mobility over raw strength. Although not brawny or built at all, his physique is well defined. Standing at 5' 7" he is of average height.
He dons a black cloth headcovering resembling a durag with the metallic forehead-protector attached to it. During missions, he puts on a long sleeve black combat top and pants, with a tactical lightweight combat vest, with two pouches attached to his left leg and a pouch on either side of his hip. He prefers to wear lighter clothing so as to not sacrifice mobility. Due to the heated climate of the Sand, he enjoys wearing thin and breathable clothing, and whilst in the village and not on duty he tends to either wear vests with nothing underneath or thin breathable combat tops with nothing on top. He wraps bandages around both fists, this makes him feel more focused and reactive when engaging in hand-to-hand combat, it is more of a mental thing but it helps him perform in the field.

Personality:
Lupe has a sentimental but also fierce nature. A generally easygoing and composed person, Lupe doesn't like to take things too seriously. Although he enjoys a good laugh he knows how to assess a situation and switch to a more serious attitude when needed. He can empathize quickly, especially with those who have won his attention and care. Although he considers the whole village his people whom he must protect, he values his companions above all else. In the unforgiving atmosphere he grew up in, you grow to intensely trust those who share your suffering and become your partners in struggle, having your back as you have theirs.
He has a strong passion for keeping and protecting the bonds he forms, he is loyal and devoted to those he considers close comrades. Once you have earned his trust, you can rely on him to have your back until the end. He has the tendency to be stubborn and blunt, speaking out of turn when he should choose his words more carefully. He is rebellious at times, disregarding rule and order in favor of his own whims, neglecting the words of higher ups. He is difficult to reign in at times and you can never predict whether he will follow an order he is displeased with, causing higher ups to handle him with caution. He is difficult to discipline and although he is dedicated to being a shinobi and defending the village he loves he doesn't always portray this.
Injustice infuriates him, and he shows little mercy to those who show no mercy. Senseless killing and destruction is extremely off putting to him and although he prefers not to take lives carelessly he will never hesitate to do so to protect himself or his comrades. Lupe has experienced the grief of this world and this has both hardened and softened him, it has opened himself to try to understand people and see what truly caused them to be who they are yet he has also grown slightly cold and indifferent in some ways, he tries to repress his negative feelings and although he is calm most of the time this side of him manifests itself every so often.
Lupe grew up on the streets living in poverty. His parents were alive yet they would drift in and out of his existence and by the age of ten they were gone altogether. They may not be dead but to Lupe they might as well be, it made no difference to him. He was alone and he accepted it, he considered those who suffered with him and had his back his family. Making it as a shinobi was his only hope of making it in his existence. Everything rode on his success of becoming a ninja of the Sand, success meant glory, security, his days of prowling streets moving from shelter to shelter, gathering sustenance through whatever means he could, not always legally, would be over. His upbringing was rough, suffering through many hardships from a young age he was forced to adapt quickly.
Adopting a carefree nature was the only way for him to make it through such adversity as a semi decent person. He chose to look at the humorous side of things as a way of coping. He'd been through many exploits, scuffles and conflicts against other people in the same situation as him who chose more deviant and criminal routs, he'd often clash with gangs and bandits for goods they'd both want. He went through much as a child up until graduation from the academy. He learned from a young age how to pick his battles, when to confront and when to escape. It was a brutal environment and through these experiences his fighting style developed. Dealing with enemies physically much stronger than he was and who often outnumbered him he was forced to develop his skills of stealth and trickery, learning how to assess a situation and act accordingly to his favor. Upon enrollment into the academy gaining access to book/scroll sources Lupe taught himself the basics of the Capoeira fighting style and the Ginga fighting stance, often putting this acrobatic fighting style into use in his exploits.
As he grew older and matured life became easier and easier, he was naturally gifted and as his body grew to keep up with his talent life's hardships became much easier to deal with. By the time he neared graduation from the Academy he was able to deal with the local thugs with ease and would get into many comical scenarios he'd look back on fondly upon graduation. The day of his graduation was a joyous one, as what he once deemed an unrealistic lifeline became reality, he had a reputation as a promising new genin and he couldn't wait to begin his new life as a shinobi of the Sand.
Fighting Style:
Lupe's fighting style mainly consists of him using his speed, agility, and mobility to avoid attacks and stay in the fight long enough to create an opening either for himself or a comrade to finish the opponent or give himself the opportunity to escape after assessing the situation to see if it is deemed necessary. Nimble and acrobatic, his unpredictable and fluid movement is hard for opponents to follow. He uses the Capoeira martial art to aid in this, of which his flow and rhythm is a natural fit for. He is a proficient user of the Wind Release and aims to learn newer and more powerful Ninjutsu to serve as finishing strikes, after using his Taijutsu to create an opening.
