About some time had passed. None of the boys who were so thoroughly engrossed in their tasks were aware of the time. Mackerel moved from his position and was now sitting in the shade under the bent-out palm tree. It pleased him to see three bright youths working hard to master an art that would likely save a life someday... or end one. One of the reasons he started a place like this was to give kids like them the chance to learn ninjutsu that that could be used to protect. The hardened ex-sailor shuddered thinking about the conditions he was in when he was first taught suiton. He was never a shinobi, never went to any academy, yet still someone like him somehow learned something he never should've.
Its the reason that he is alive this very day. The thought of passing down such jutsu to those could perhaps use it better than relieved the abundance of stress he'd incurred over his years as a privateer. Suddenly, some sounds made Mackerel shift his attention to the Oasis once more. Now that he thought about it, he'd been hearing some snippets of conversation between the three boys, perhaps they finally decided to put their heads together to conquer the secrets of this jutsu. The mentor got up from his sitting positioned and craned his head to see what was going on in the Oasis.
Mackerel's jaw dropped. He had expected to see maybe just Shoko's water dragon and up running functionally first, not all three of them. In front of Shoko and hovering three metres into the air was a water-dragon almost identical to the one Mackerel just made, bringing to light Shoko's immense eye for detail. Some metres away what seemed to be Roman's dragon. Thin and serpentine it snaked at least five metres into the air, dancing and coiling around itself with an impressive set of wings. Then finally Mackerel gazed his eyes on Hector's dragon. It was huge, about the size of dinosaur and bearing an odd resemblance to one. It was scary, not the image of the dragon but the mere hint of Hector's chakra reserves.
