Name: Defeating the Odds ( I will roleplay the npc)

Difficulty: Moderate - Hard
Description: A cloud Chuunin has come to the rain village and asked the Amekage to take on some ninja willing enough to take him on. This ninja is an A class ninja with many skills. He carries a giant sword upon his back and he is a nara. He has told the amekage he will pay the ninja willing to fight him, but he will try to kill them if he faces them in battle, but that was a risk he would have to take.
Objective: If you wish, take on this cloud village chuunin and win some money as well as items.
Requirements: 1 Genin Minimum (4 Maximum) ( 1 chuunin)
Reward: 5000 Ryo; If you kill him, you will get his giant sword, and his shock gloves.

I would make my way to the arena in the center of my village to see a man there. This man looked very skilled, and he had a giant sword which he carried on his back. I got kind of scared a bit as I entered the arena after giving the proctor the slip of paper saying that I was the challenger of the match. I then would begin my slow purge up the steps looking at the ninja who seemed to be staring at me. Cloud ninja were not that hard to handle, but hopefully he wasn't as hard as I would interprit, but no matter, I would give my all. People did not usually scare me, so I would take a deep breathe and take my battojutsu stance and hopefully he would attack first because I already had plans in my mind.

The shinobi said absolutely nothing, only the intent of murder upon his facade. The demon's nest tampered with, he suffered the shinobi's intrusion without so much as a pull of his hands from the folds of his attire. The fingers weaved the signs of the zodiac brusquely thereafter, instant gratification lingering as the final beast was birthed by nimble tendrils.

The very edifice upon which they stood crackled to life with an affinity unrivaled, the sudden burst of electric manacles caressing epidemis and casting a sensation across the nerves but for a moment. He would ultimately cast his palms toward his front, violent winds engulfing his person before the Heavens roared in homage to his skill. Formulated was a beast of the lightning, speeding downward and surrounding him for moments. Command given, it thereafter created a furious journey to decrease proximity between itself and the foolish who betrayed natural fear for a facade of bravery. The dragon's maw poised, it created a spiral travel before crashing.

My battojutsu would not work, seeing the handseals flow very fast would completely eraticate me. I would use a body flicker to come behind the ninja about 10 meters away and some seals would flow by quickly as a water clones would now begin to surround me, 3 in all. I then awaited, My moves would not be so futile towards this ninja, but it looked as if I would have a hard time with this one.

Ooc: You did not state that the arena had a water source, so I will assume that it is raining. You made water clones, and they require a water source. Also seeing that this is the "Rain Village", it is also safe to assume that it is raining. If you have an issue with this, someone should take a look.

And upon the edifice would he pay the ultimate price. With his opponent nowhere in sight, the peripheral vision was also compromised to believe that he was nowhere in the direct vicinity. With such to be said, he would only find his opponent to be left in one place: behind him. Most skillfully were a string of handseals once again performed, only short-lived before his hand would raise slightly above his body. He would ensure that the view of the uplifted palm would be obscured from his opponent, though he turned his head only slightly to allow the peripheral vision to confirm his destination.

As if on cue did he summon a sphere of lightning to his palm, immediately turning upon the ball of his left hand and casting it forward. Ominously did it accelerate naught but for a breath's whisper, and there upon the plain of raindrops it would expand into a torrent of lightning bolts. Gloriously did five bolts spread out in a wide arc that would curve inward toward his position, each of the droplets of liquid causing even more to multiply from the depths of his ability. The manacles would quickly overtake a large portion of the proximity between the two, and ten meters, as he had calculated amidst the throw of the orb, would be covered much faster than one might have hoped.

Thus, the bolts of lightning would span out and easily consume the droplets to range into the tens..quite possibly slightly over one hundred with the heavy rain that was pouring down upon the edifice. There were more of him, though..such was an interesting factor, though he cared not; he would decimate them all in one movement, ensuring that the bolts would travel fast enough with the harnessed chakra to keep him from being able to conclude the situation with any jutsu to keep himself alive in that instant.

He assumed that the string of handseals that he had created would be in unison with his opponents, thus allowing him to cast his own jutsu in the same moment that he had. Logically, such would have been the advantage of a man who was now allowing his opponent to move behind him to a greater vantage point. But obviously...such would also prove to be the futile attempt to save himself the wrath of he who possessed much more skill.

The shinobi would find his resting place here as the thunderous bolts travelled in what appeared to be the blink of an eye, this village's own natural essence (rain) being the downfall of his actions.

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: A skill that is normally used during the midst of a rain storm. The user will send forth a lightning bolt from their hands, that will be channeled through falling rain drops. When hitting the rain drops, the lightning will seperate and scatter, turning into many smaller lightning bolts. Which all are concentrated towards the opponent, to shock them from multiple directions
Special: Dragon, Tiger, Serpent, Bird, Rat
Drawback: N/A
Description: A Jutsu which I used during Rainstorms. The user will perform the handseals and then will lift one hand and collect chakra to that hand. It will begin to emit electricity and once the hand is ready the user will push their hand forward releasing the bolt of lightning which will travel forward until it his a rain drop once it does the lightning bolt will scatter into 5 separate bolts and once each bolt hits another rain drop it will once again split into 5. This cycle will continue until the lightning hits the opponent. Though with the chakra that was inserted into the lighting it can be used to target the opponent.

My actions were voided sadly, lightning travels too fast for me to react that much. I would let myself to get shocked by multiple directions since I was now surrounded by small voltages of electricity, every part outside of my body was being shocked, but it was not a paralyzing factor, I was only being constantly shocked, and the shocks felt like burns, so I would assume this man was mastered in lightning jutsu. My clones would begin to drop into water puddles now that they were surrounded by me, and every single one dropped. I would prop my right knee down and close my left eye as I was completely being shocked still, but it would soon be over too.

I could not do much now, steam would rise off my shoulders and my clothes. But handseals would try to fly by my hands much quicker than they could, but it would go a bit slower than normal for me. I would then begin to slam my hands upon the ground and an earth would begin to shake violently as my teeth began to grit to the fact I was on the defensive side now, and my opponent had not even dropped a sweat towards my skill, it was time to knock it up a notch, I now knew not to tamper with my opponents like such, and now I would begin to try and show my true skill as a rain shinobi.

There are many inconsistencies with what is happening in your post.

I stated that I had turned my head once my peripheral vision and my frontal vision had realized that you had vanished from position. That means right after you were gone, I would logically deduce your position with not seeing you in sight. A moment thereafter, I was forming my handseals while looking behind me to catch location of your position.

I stated such, and I also stated that judging from the fact that you had clones by the time I turned around, you were most likely concocting the clones at the exact same time I was forming my own jutsu. Therefore, you would not have the chance (As I also stated) to perform the underground movement. I predicted that you would use that maneuver, and thus I eliminated the chance to do such with the speed of how fast lightning travels.

I also made sure that our actions were nearly identical in timeframe, resulting in you and your clones getting caught before you could move once more. One who does not see anything to the sides, or in front of him, would only believe that a shinobi who was trying to gain victory would end up in the most common places to arrive after a body flicker: Behind them.

Josh, Ive read the thread and Ive made a call as a Head Mod.

You are severely injured, your body is burnt and calloused by the B rank tech. It hit you full on from a B ranked char and thus you are burnt, and injured and you will have trouble controlling your limbs. You are slowed by the damage and injured to the point where much more fighting will kill you. That is all.

I would raise my hand to forefeit, I could hardly use my limbs, and I would begin my slow purge upwards as I began to walk off, I surely did not like myself anymore, this battle would begin to tear my thoughts up as I began walking towards my sensei who had a sturn look on her face, I would close my eyes and try to forget it, which in reality, it would be my biggest fear for a while.

And with that, the shinobi glanced upward toward the heavens, the soft pitter patter of rain falling upon his facade as the lightning trembled for moments, dissipating thereafter. He gave a wry expression upon his countenance, before turning into the distance as if embarassed at the display here.

"....Pathetic."he muttered. A simple shunshin, and the entity was gone.

I would begin to collapse upon the ground now and all I could see was pitch black. My sensei would begin to heal my body, with her medic training, using a chakra scalpel would be her prime objective, and I would be her main target, the healing would begin. Although my concious was not here, my feelings were.

"Was I alive or dead?"

The question would taunt me, and the pitch black would make the question flow throughout my thoughts. Heavy lights would make their way in the dark though, and my concious would pick back up from where it had left and I would be at home in my bed, and knowing tomorrow was my birthday, I would just lay my head down and begin to rest once more, awaiting the next day. I knew my scars were healed, but I already felt the soreness of my muscles now.
