Her dancing seemed to be working, well maybe not in the way she intended. The other girl was trying to be sing songy, but she could tell that there was no mysticism behind it like there was with her own music. She was fairly close to the other woman as suddenly her rhythm changed to reflect the sudden aggression that came with attacking. She was really close, and doing something really silly. This creature suddenly showed off its tail’s and wings, whipping the tail around like a weapon. Lyra was not quick, and had little time to react; however, an Innate feeling channeled through her body as she stepped into the attack and took the blunt of the attack, now basically at where the tail began. She tensed her muscles and exhaled as the strike met her side.
(Using 4 STofY Points +8 AP to defend the attack. 6/10 STofY)
She exhaled as hot wind and energy gave her the strength to withstand the blow. She quickly took her arm and wrapped it over top of the tail, attempting a grappling maneuver. This was her best effort at staying close with the girl. Her side was still sore from absorbing the impact; however her channeling of her Chi and her desire to survive helped absorb the impact. Damage, especially physical damage, was fickle.
She had felt the girl attempting to whip her, and either it came from above or to the side. Regardless of the movement itself, she would endure the attack and would now be grabbing into the girl by her tail end. She would be in a position to grab the tail, but would he be able to hold it. She wasn’t sure that she had enough energy to stop a second attack like that. She was sickly, and her physique was not extremely strong. She had focused a lot of energy, probably more than she had to, into defending herself. She would get this strike on her opponent if it was the death of her
