Generally speaking, she understood for certain that the more chakra that was infused into the clay, the exponentially larger the bomb’s explosive radius would become. However, it made her a little bit concerned considering she hadn’t had any reference to work with. The most powerful explosions she had ever produced could extend perhaps ten meters in diameter. How much larger would it be, she wondered, for a tier three bomb? Double? Triple? Maybe even ten times? The answer wasn’t clear in her mind, and she had yet to experience that level of brilliance in her pieces. She had yet to see that explosion that would transcend and devastate in that flash.
So, she decided to play simpler. If she used a smaller amount of detonating clay, she could certainly infuse a larger amount of chakra at an easier and faster pace, even if she couldn’t have more surface area to infuse. The clay would be far more exposed, even if she couldn’t necessarily create more or larger bombs from them. Taking the same clay she had just chewed previously, covered in small bits of dirt and dust, she took a much smaller portion of it this time, popping a modest mouthful of the clay into her mouth, forming the snake sign as she chewed, more fervently, ferociously in its delivery.
She could feel and taste the grit, and yet, she scantily seemed to mind as she built a larger concentration of her chakra, using her tongue to seep the chakra as she rolled the mound of clay in her mouth and against her cheeks. It was easier to work with a smaller amount of clay, and with it, she questioned if it was wiser, or if not that, simply more efficient to make a higher quality explosive in this way. Well, as she used the smaller apportionment, having infused it with as much chakra as she felt was necessary, there was only one real way to find out.
