Curse of Kusa - Part 1 [Event]

For the most part, Harue stays alongside Yuri and the commotion, remaining in her place with Yuri and Vlad as their prisoners are brought over. She snickers a little when the woman is worried about being a Vampire, shaking her head slightly when it's revealed through expression alone that she wanted to be a Vampire. So bizarre.

Just as Harue thought that maybe the scientist wasn't so smart, she correctly assesses their origins. Harue looks from the scientist to Yuri when it's suggested they present themselves, which was something Harue sort of always felt inclined to do from the beginning, but looks solely over the scientist when Yuri admits they might not be so peaceful. At least the scientist was a bit disappointed - she wanted things to work out peacefully too. Not only did Harue have to remember to pick at Epsilon's synthetic brain when she got the chance to be alone with him, she'd have to look for an opportunity to talk to the scientist. For the rest of the time, Harue stares at her hands, flexing her fingers and reminding herself that she was indeed still alive, even if it felt like they were trapped in limbo. While she still listened intently and absorbed everything, she seemed a little out of it.

When Yuri began swimming through the doctor's head, Harue excuses herself and takes to ordering. After eating off by herself, she returns to see if Yuri was finished. Whether or not she was, she gives her a kiss on the top of her head as she sits, mumbling about good nights and sweet dreams, before settling down with Ōmo. It was nice to reconcile with him after a long day, and she uses his flank as a pillow. In the morning, she feels as refreshed as she can having slept in a foreign world and place. She assumes a place with Yuri, Ōmo at her heels. She yawns.

Beginning of the End.

The next morning would come and standing there before her group of Ninja would be Yuri, and Vlad standing next to her. "Here's the plan. Su, you will take your team, and infiltrate the location that the good doctor has provided for us. Once you are there, you will play the role as we have discussed until the time is right. Understood?" Yuri looked over at Su who just nodded his head in understanding. Yuri then turned her attention over towards Salihn, "You will take Harue, and Tomo, and Epsilon towards the next target. Once you have finished there, I won't you to head towards these coordinates. According to the Doctor, there are secretes stored there that even she does not have access to. With her security codes, an Epsilon, you should be able to bypass the security systems to find out everything we will need to know."

Yuri then looked at the Ninja that where scattered around the base that they had created for themselves, and she smiled. She cracked her neck, "Me, Vlad, Godric and the men from Salihn's unit, will rendezvous with Houkou, to seek out these Deviants. And see if we can't... come to an agreement. I'll be heading out first. If everything goes well, maybe we'll be able to, cause a distraction for you guys to make things easier. Start your missions in exactly 1 and 1/2 hours from now, that should be enough time to get things... situated." Both Vlad and Yuri, unnlike everyone else, hadn't found clothing to help them blend in the people of the city. However, as they two of them walked towards the door with their group their clothing began to shift and change form.

Neither one of them wanted to stand out too much but also wanted to maintain some function. The group left out of the front door and with a smile on her face, Yuri looked over her shoulder to wave good bye to the group. Just then her, Vlad, Godric, and all the ninja with her vanished without a trace, as they leap into the tops of the building. Su and Salihn turned to there groups and both said, "Get ready, we move out in an hour and a half. Make sure you have everything you need. I doubt we'll have time to regroup once the operation starts.

The damned night seemed to drag on forever, and tossing and turning on a lion's flank goes so far. After getting approximately a few hours of sleep, Harue stirs looking worse for wear and feeling a little out of place. They were still here, in this place, far away from home. Would she die here, on otherworldly foreign soil? Honestly, Harue felt like she might. This was her grave, this was her purgatory. They were stuck in a world ravaged by division of power, willingly.

Ah, but Yuri was trying desperately to get them all out of this, whether or not she looked confident on the surface. It was all just a claw at the pit walls - a somewhat necessary provision for future threats, if this place could have ever been a threat to them. They'd drag themselves out of this if they had to bring the whole world down behind them, and slowly Harue was beginning to be okay with this. Where at first she didn't want to disturb this place and its functions, she wanted only to go home now. But, of course, she didn't want to half ass the job. And, of course, her innocent ideology lingered below the surface of her exhausted mindset , and, of course, she knew deep down they could leave any time and they were, in fact, the invaders. She was working out the justifications, consciously or not.

Thankfully, she was placed among people and synthetic man alike whom she was at least familiar with, as if bestowed the very chance to talk to Epsilon she'd wanted the day before. Not too late, but still not the right time. And as that time went on, she wasn't even very sure if her questions were valid anymore, nor her proposals and theories.

An hour and a half was a lovely amount of time for Harue to wake up more. Yuri separates from them, not without Harue first wishing her an earnest 'good luck' and limp grasp of hands, and once again Harue feels out of place. At least their job was a more covert operation. She nods cooperatively to temporary authority, getting right to readying herself. First she makes sure that the weapon she secured the day before was still close to her, alongside the rest of her arsenal with which she came with. She preps Ōmo, ever so happy to see him again, but briefly considers leaving him behind. She worries that if she did, she might not ever see him again - but the same could be said for bringing him along as well. "You'll have to stay close," she murmurs to him as she adjusts whatever armor she can to him, if that were a thing that was possible to do. "You're important to me," she reminds him, gaining the first knowing look from him since they arrived. At least he was on the same page. She kisses the crown of his brow.

Of course, she also had to take the time to primp. She couldn't go out looking like she just dragged herself out of some hell concert. She unties her hair and combs her fingers through it, working the whole of it into two neat, catear-shaped buns on either side of her head so that no loose strands hang past her hips. After quickly washing her face and the makeup that had smeared under her eyes, she idles and steels herself for what was to come. Ready as she'd ever be, she waits.

    The full extended rest restored him to full health and stamina, and the presence of the Kusakage and Blood Thursday were a venerable boost to his morale. He felt immeasurably privileged to be working alongside the greatest ninja of Kusagakure. At the same time, it caused him to acknowledge the high degree of concern that the City of Cursed Roots presented to his land. That the village's greatest ninja have been called to action was evidence that this futuristic city was the greatest threat to the common welfare of Kusa no Kuni. All he had to do was look around to see. That most of the village's greatest resources were allocated here and that he had somehow gotten wrapped up in this crucial operation made him feel as though he was part of something bigger. He is humbled to be working in the field with the ANBU Owl Division, the division of ninja he admired the most, under the direct command of the Owl Division Captain, Su. All he hoped for was not to blunder and jeopardize the operation. He prayed that he would continue to contribute, and if possible, not to waste his life for nothing.

    Inoryu listened closely to Yuri's directions and was eager to understand how they would proceed with the mission. It seemed as though the Kusakage had only divulged her plans with the captain. He only had the utmost respect for Su and his unit, and cherished the opportunity to learn from the best in stealth and information retrieval. Su had shared yesterday's plan with Inoryu and his unit so it's not as if he wouldn't be prepared.

    The Chunin was wearing the mythral set that he had picked up from the gift shop and the rest of his belongings were in the main pack he found to match the outfit. He supposed that he could leave it at base now, but the backpack contained nearly all of his supplies and his armor that he had exactingly forged. He decided that he couldn't part with his backpack. Stealth was a main function of his temporary unit and his armour would be a boon. As for all the rest of the supplies, he would rather have them and be able to adapt to a variety of situations.  

    Inoryu used some of the time to conceal one kunai and thirty bo shuriken underneath his clothing and equip his right arm and shoulder with umbrite, but he still had over an hour to spare. He ate a single food pill to satiate his hunger for another twenty-four hours, among other effects. Then he would take the time to meditate, to soothe his inner-peace and focus his mind. He needed to give his best performance and it was more critical now than ever. He did his best work when he was calm, and he hoped that starting the day with meditation would set the tone for whatever challenges the next few hours would present. Yesterday had greatly enhanced his confidence and though the stakes were higher, he felt enthusiastic about the role he had to play.

Description: Decoct the Mandrake root in water. Filter it into powdered Groundelder. Grind the 2 together. Boil the 2 standard-shots of corpse skink meat through a filtration and apply all ingredients with the mulungu resin using a ceration. Allow the mulungu resin to harden. This takes 30 minutes to create. This creates 1 thumb-vial of "Military Rations Pill". Military Rations Pills are special pills that replenish one's chakra and nourish the body. The user gains 10 temporary Armour Points per crafter's alchemy mastery. User also restores 1/3rd of their chakra (honor based) for 24 hours. For 24 hours (or until chakra is used, whichever is quicker), the user will be able to ignore starvation and thirst and gain +4 Alchemical bonus to saves against sleep, and fatigue. If the character becomes fatigued, the penalties still apply normally, but the user can run nor do they do not become exhausted. User also gain a +4 alchemical bonus to Toughness and a Damage Reduction 1/— per alchemy mastery). User can no longer feel Pain effects. Pain effects do not affect the target until the duration of the effects. This does not negate any physical damage, ability damage, that a pain effect has already done, but it does negate ongoing penalties from pain while the effects last. Once the effects fade, the user will be fatigued until they take a full rest (Fortitude save 15 for half). The effects of the soldier pill do not stack, and do not refresh the effects. If the user is knocked unconscious for 1 or more hours, the effect immediately fades, and the character becomes fatigued. (When purchasing in an NPC store all effects are treated with Advanced Mastery).

Ingredients 1 coin-vial of groundelder. 1 standard-vial of mandrake. 1 standard-vial of mulungu resin. 2 standard-shots of corpse skink powdered meat.

Just about an Hour and change had passed, and Yuri's voice would be heard over the intercom. As her voice echoed so too did the sounds of combat in the background. Yuri laughed over thee intercom, "AHAHAHA, it seems the Deviants are a rowdy bunch. We've made contact, but it doesn't seem like they are fond of me taking command of their little group. Soooooooooo.... I've decided to beat them into submission. Shouldn't take too long by the looks of things." Yuri said as the sound of a tornado could be heard followed by screaming. Vlad's voice then echoed over the intercom as well, "You sure I can't just kill them?"

"Yes I'm sure... we need they alive AND able to fight... Anyway. Proceed a planned, we should have anything cleared up on own end soon. Oh that's cute-" Yuri cut the transmission as she went back to work subduing the Deviants. Su smirked, and then looked at his group, which included Inuryu, "Let's go. By the time we get there, Lady Yuri should be ready to give us a solid distraction. to do what needs to be done. I'll fill you guys in on what we're doing on the way there." Su and his group would begin to move towards the door. After Su's group began to move out Salihn looked over towards the 3 that she would be leading.

"Yes we need to start heading towards the next target as well. If things go as planned we should encounter too much trouble this time around. Keep your wits about you." Salihn said as she began to walk towards the door as well. Things were going to be coming to a head very quickly. If everyone did their part well, then things should go relatively smoothly. If even one group screwed up, then it could mean a complete failure for everyone involved.

[Inoryu]

    Inoryu had faith in his temporary unit and he was beginning to realize that they always had a plan before taking action, he was relieved that it was a discipline that he had an affinity for. "Your mind is your greatest tool," Inoryu remembered his father saying, remembering a lesson that his father shared over a decade ago. It was a cold, breezy Autumn day and he had just finished a ninjutsu assignment given to him by his father. 

    "Because our ninjutsu disrupts the target's mind," Inoryu, eight years old, replied. 

    "Yes, but there is more to it than that. The mind is what makes men strong. The entire universe is conscious, just like you, and the entire universe has unlimited potential...just like you. Having the capacity to change, adapt and transform is one of humanity's saving graces, and evolution has allowed humanity to rule over this world, because the mind is a tool. Conscious thought and deliberation affects the world around us because everything is 'mind'. Some people use this tool more than others, while others are more dictated by their emotions. Others don't use their minds at all. A long time ago, the first Yamanaka that discovered our clan jutsu realized that the mind empowers our jutsu. Making plans, collecting information, analyzing that information, and determining what that information means in context is what allowed our clan to evolve. If you want to be good, always keep your wits about you. So, how much were you paying attention? What comes first before collecting information?"

    The eight year old paused to think, "Making plans?" 

    "Very good, making plans." 

    As Inoryu followed Su towards the door, he wondered what strategy might need a distraction by the Kusakage. He figured that Yuri and Vlad together comprised most of Kusagakure's battle power. Thinking back to his fights with them, both Yuri and Vlad were like one-man-armies due to their paper release, he could only imagine the true battle potential between them. If they were to cause a distraction, the ruling party might allocate their fighting resources to them and that could allow the owl division to scout strategic locations easier, provided by his mind dive, and capture a high value target. An HVT would be an incredible resource with his Yamanaka ninjutsu, which could shed light on the government's resources. However, that would be his way, by following the discipline of his clan and that was only one method. He cleared his mind and brainstormed what other strategies Yuri might implementing. His clan must not be the only clan who was good at what they do, surely, there were ninjutsu that he was unaware of. "What is Kusakage planning?" he pondered.

Hearing Yuri and the commotion on the other side of the radio without having a visual to paint the scene upon was nervewracking to Harue, in more ways than one. She didn't want harm to come to Yuri, but it reminded her how thin the ice was that they toed on in this world. There was nothing to prove that they'd have an easier time with their part of the mission, but she remained optimistic. Part of her thought maybe that Yuri would get the worst of it and she wouldn't have to deal with someone explosively confrontational engagement such as she was, which was relieving in a small way... But the relief was easily overturned by grief, worried about her Kage's safety.

She shakes the thoughts away, reminding herself Yuri wouldn't let herself come in harm's way so easily. She was tricky. Thankfully, unfortunately. 

Moving out at Salihn's heels, Harue stays close to Epsilon and Ōmo, keeping an eye on Tomomi in the back of her mind, and activates her Onigami. She would resume her role as scout to aid Salihn and her party, hoping to ably help progress their mission. She wanted this to go as smooth as humanly (and artificially) possible. Her fingers itch to touch her strange chakra weapon, but she refrains from toying with it too much. "Tell me when and what you need of me," Harue spoke low but distinctly to Salihn from behind, fluttering her eyelids briefly to reiterate her wide radius doujutsu. From there, her lips were pressed in a tight light as she focused on their paced task.

As they headed out of the doors Salihn, looked over at Harue, and smiled, though her smile was concealed beneath her mask, "Same as yesterday, just keep me informed of what is ahead of us as we move. I wait to avoid any unwanted attention if possible." Salihn, then turned around and jumped up the side of the build as she ran towards their destination much like she had done so before. As the headed up the side of the building Epsilon had a worried look on his face. It seemed that his discovers from the parts they had given him was still weighing on him. He cleared his thoughts, and refocused as quickly as he became concerned. Such was the life of an AI, "emotional" problems disappeared as quickly as appeared.

The group would make their way towards their target, they wouldn't encounter much in the way of resistance on their way there. Just the errant guard positioned along the rooftops that were easily avoidable. They had plenty of technology, but they didn't seem equipped to deal with skilled ninja.

Su's group took a much more lax approached to their movement. They moved through the streets rather nonchalantly, and purposely. Having read through the information that had been gathered, members of the group spoke to each other loudly, about nothing really, using the lingo and slang of this place. This was just to give the appearance of an average group of young adults, walking through the streets. They were a little rowdy, but them being perfectly behaved would have been far more strange. So they blended in by standing out. As they walked through the streets, with some of them provided ambient noises, Su began to speak of the plan.

"Our mission is simple lads, and ladies. We corner a patrol group much the same as yesterday, but this time, he take over a rather high ranking group. Lady Yuri will prove the distraction, by causing a bit of havoc. During that havoc, and when we make our move.... Oh you can go to hell man." Su said suddenly as he pointed Inoryu with a laugh. A group of people were walking a bit to close, and Su decided to play the fool. After they had passed Su folded his arm, and then began to continue, "Once he have what we need. We are to capture Salihn's unit, and bring before the Ruling Party. Then we play the rest by ear." Su said as a smile stretched across his face.

He loved a malleable plan, the best ones where the one that needed a bit of improvisation. Hopefully Inoryu, would be ready for it. The group looked at Su for a moment, and could see the edges of a smile behind his mask. They knew that it was not a good sign for the simplicity of this mission. Anything that Su showed an actual interest in, meant that it would require at least a bit of effort, from him. If he would need to actually try, then they were going to be deep in it. Even while they continued to give their masterful performances, the tension could be felt within the group.

[Inoryu]

    Inoryu had caught on to the ambiance of the group rather quickly and joined in by speaking loudly in the local slang about nothing really. They moved through the streets with purpose and the ambient ruckus they provided gave the perfect cover for Su to speak of the plan. While maintaining the appearance of a rowdy crowd of young adults, Inoryu contributed here and there while covertly listening to the details of the mission. When Su suddenly reverted to his public persona and pointed at Inoryu, Inoryu played along by laughing riotously and firmly slapping the back of a teammate that was in his vicinity. He then mentioned something trivial in local slang to that person to contribute to the ambience and allow Su to speak in confidence. All the while, Inoryu's full attention remained on the divulge of the plan. [Acting: 125]

    Inoryu did pick up tension within the group however, since he was so in tune with their acting and had been working with the unit for many hours. He looked to Su, saw a wide smile stretched across his face and associated it as the reason for the sudden solemnity. Though he kept up with appearances very well, the solemn mood was contagious. He began to feel nervous about the trials ahead. One of his teammates said something and Inoryu erupted in laughter, then threw in some local lingo and a curse word for good measure. Although Harue couldn't see Salihn's smile, she could feel an underlying understanding between them thus far, or at least Harue felt as though she was a lot more useful than she previously assumed herself to be. Per Salihn's request, Harue indeed keeps on the lookout for anything out of the ordinary as well as any threatening poses that idle their way. With a low voice, she points out the aerial guards ahead of them rooftops before they've crossed their sights, effectively weaving them through the sentry obstacles. At least it was smooth sailing so far, just a lot of running along wallsides and rooftops. She could manage this. She hoped there was more of this, and majorly only this.

Out of the corner of her eye, Harue regards Epsilon's demeanor. She supposed now wasn't a good time to talk yet between both his apparent exterior status (could robots feel down in the dumps?) and the state of their own daunting task at hand. But she had to corner him sooner or later, she had to know if they were doing the "right thing."

And if he really cared about the tides turning in their favor at all, or if he was acting purely on survival. They were foreigners, but any fool could see that siding with them was easier than opposing them... She wanted the faith she had in him to be justified.

The group walked through the city for sometime before they found themselves in the heart of this place. In front of them was the building that held the sitting members of The Ruling Power, and it's leader. Standing in front of the building where guards but more importantly there was a group of figures there, with one in particular who stood out more than he others. He seemed to be barking out orders that those around him, and once he had finished speaking, the group spread out, leaving just the man and a group of individuals their with them. The group around him didn't seem much different than the others they had seen, they all wore the same battle suits as the others. However there were different markings on their attire. However, their leader's gear was far more detail and extravagant. More over his face was out and free for everyone to see.

"That man and his group are the target. As far as we know they are the most revered Trappers(basically Deviant Bounty Hunters), under the Ruling Parties Employ. They get direct contact with the ruling party. We'll be taking them down and taking their place." Su folded his arms as he looked over at the group, and then back at his squad, "Just get ready for the shoe to drop." Su said as he walked over to a building and then leaned against a wall. The rest of the group follower him and stood around him as they continued on with their act. Now they just needed Yuri to make her distraction.

The group continued to move over the roof tops until they they found themselves in front of their position. Salihn stopped the group there and then looked over at Harue to give them the run down. She would notice that the lay out was no different than the last portal that they came from. There where 8 men in total, with a single scientist, working on the portal itself. (feel free to describe their positing how you feel, much like you did last time.) There was One noticeable difference from the last group. The group gaurding this location, seemed much more on guard than the last, and the suits they were wearing a different markings on them.

Clearly in light of what happened yesterday, they tightened up security, and sent their more competent warriors. Everything about them seemed to be more... more than the others. Their weapons, were more pristine, their battle suits seemed more advanced, and their demeanor seemed more imposing. This was no going to be as easy as the last run in that they had, "What do you see Harue." Salihn waited for Harue to report was she saw.

[Inoryu]

    Inoryu had a good look at their targets before following the unit around the corner. When he was out of sight, he began prepping for battle. He leaned against the wall with his back to the public to conceal his hand seals. While focusing on his breathing to relax, he weaved through several series of hand seals, starting with -dog, dragon, ox, and ram- to active the east aspect of the four winds (+1 to saves). He continued with -Hare, dog, monkey, dragon, horse, serpent, bird, rat, serpent, ram, dog, ox, tiger, boar, dragon, hare, ram, tiger, ox, and ram- to activate the most powerful version of favour's focus. He would cast it on himself first, and if it were successful, then quickly follow with the boost of the fame and boost of the warrior enchantments.

Effect: A jutsu that increases the difficulty of Illusions against the affected person.

Description: Affects 5 creature creatures per Class level, medium size or smaller. The user is able to perform this technique on the target they touch. The duration of this technique is permanent. This technique may be negated. This Jutsu requires a dangerous action for most GenJutsu users, a successful melee attack. If the save against this Jutsu is successful, the target remains unaware that Favor's Focus tried to affect them, though the user may have seen the Jutsu performed or been aware of the attack. Only 1 Favor's Focus, regardless of Jutsu Rank, can be in effect on a given target at any one time. If a second one targets someone already effected by one, both are instantly Dispelled. A user can have only 5 Favored per Class Level at one time. To create another Favored, one of the others must be released. The user determines which one. If any Favored has the favor Dispelled or otherwise escapes it, the user knows immediately (although no other information is relayed; the user knows only of the Jutsu's loss)
"D" Rank - Until Dispelled a special +1 favor bonus applies to the saves of any Enchantment Jutsus the user uses on the target. Additionally, line of sight is no longer required if the user is somehow aware of the target (now called the Favored) within range.

"B" Rank - +5 bonus applied to saves. The user can choose to reduce the favor bonus to +2. If this is done, the Jutsu can affect a humanoid target of any size.
"A" Rank - +7 bonus applied to saves. The user can choose to reduce the favor bonus to +4. If this is done, the Jutsu can affect a humanoid target of any size. Alternatively, the user can decide to make the favor bonus +1 instead. If this option is chosen, the Favor's Focus can affect any living creature susceptible to mind-affecting Jutsus.
"S" Rank - +9 bonus applied to saves. The user can choose to reduce the favor bonus to +6. If this is done, the Jutsu can affect a humanoid target of any size. Shortly behind Salihn, Harue graced to a stop overlooking their next target, her eyes the only access they had to planning ahead. It didn't take Harue long to respond cordially to Salihn, eyes fixed forward.

"Same setup as last time, though this time they seem more... prepared." Harue tilts her head as she continues to examine them, her senses drawn to those weapons, their armor. Their vitals. "Theirs are better than mine," she says offhandedly, gesturing with her fancy weapon-clad hip. "They're expecting us." Turning her soft, glowing scarlet eyes to Salihn but still viewing their targets, Harue drawls slightly. "We should proceed with more caution than yesterday." Which honestly simply meant Salihn should guide their attack stealthily as opposed to bombrushing in, much as they had the day before.

((OOC: Inoryu, you do realize that Favor's Focus make's genjutsu and other things that need saves more effective against you? So you basically just decreased your will saves by 9 against any Enchantment Jutsu that are used on you... right? Doubt it would matter in this event... jutsu a heads up.))

Su, continued to stand there as they looked at the targets group from a distance, within the crowd, the man seemed to be far too busy giving orders and organizing his men to pay much attention to the crowd. He also assumed that no one would be dumb enough to attack them in broad daylight so close to the Ruling Party's building. And he was correct. Although Su was just waiting for the signal. At this point, everything was contingent on Yuri getting the assistance of the Deviants, and starting the distraction. He wasn't sure when it was going to come but everything would begin with her.

Salihn nodded her head at Harue's response, and then said, "Then it looks like we wait for Yuri's distraction. We'll see how they'll respond, and then make our move." Salihn looked back at the group, and then turned her attention back at the portal. She nor Su had any idea what Yuri was going to do, but they knew they would know what it was when they saw it. Just as she was thinking this, there was a rumbling noise, and that was immediately followed by an explosion. The sound of the explosion reached through out the entire city. It happened towards the opposite side of the city of where Salihn's group was located. Salihn turned her heard towards the explosion, with a shocked expression on her face. That was the area near where Yuri was suppose to be handling the Deviants.

Su's group would obviously hear the explosion as well, as he lifted his head and turned towards the direction of the explosion. The building where the explosion happened began to crumble and fall to the ground. The dust that it produce blew through the city, and reached even as far as Su and then others standing. The crowd was startled, but before they could go into a full on panic, the speakers, and display screens around the city became active, and a voice began to ring over them, as the screens flickered, and a group of individuals appeared on screen. Su, got off the wall an unfolded his arms, as he looked on. Salihn's similarly stoic demenour was shaken as well as she looked on at the nearest display.

On the screen was an unfamiliar face, several unfamiliar faces. While unfamiliar to the ninja there, the faces were all too familiar for the people of this world. Murmurings where heard all around them, as people mentioned the two of them on the screen as being the leaders of the Deviants. The male was hooded, with tech goggles and a cybernetic leg, the female seemed to be rather normal looking other than her layered hair coloring and there where several Orbs floating around her. Su looked on as he heard the murmuring from the crowd. He sucked his teeth under his mask, "Where the hell is Yuri?" He said with a bit of worry in his voice. The male on the screen then squatted down to speak into the camera that was dramatically placed on the ground and angled upwards.

"YOOOOOO, people... what's uuupp?!" He said very care free as his looked into the camera side ways. "It's your boy Ezo... here to tell you... the Deviants are done fuck'in around. It ends today... All of it." He picked up the camera, and The female there placed her hands behind her back. "We've have information, that proves what we've always suspected. That the Ruling Party is nothing but a den of lairs and thieves. They brand us a Deviants, anomalies. Knowing full well we are the future of the human race. And we've finally got our proof." The two of them continued to walked with the camera, and continued to talk. While this was happening the crowd was in shocked silence.

"We've recently come into contact, with someone from the surface. That's right... human from the outside world, humans who never stopped evolving, found their way into our little slice of 'paradise'. And guess what? They're just like us... no, they're better." As Ezo spoke, they came up to the back of a chair, that looked more like a throne. As they walked towards the chair, the woman spoke, "We have found what we've been looking for. She is a Queen from the surface, with powers unlike anything you've ever seen." As she said this the camera would pan around towards the front of the chair, and a familiar voice echoed.

"Giz, I keep telling you... not a Queen. Princess..." Yuri's voice echoed with a bit of giggling. As always standing next to her was Vlad, and not far from him was both Godric and Houkou in attendance. Yuri sat there in her green dress with her legs crossed, and rest her head against her hand, as she leaned on the arm rest. "Hello..." Is all she said as she looked into the camera. Thee crowd was startled as a great deal of them let out gasps, and shock, some commented on her fiery red hair, and the expensive, jewelry that she wore. She certainly looked the part of a princess from the surface, at the very least it didn't appear that her wealth, faltered in the face of the Ruling Parties.

"First I'll just say, that no innocent lives were taken in the explosion just now. But that building wasn't really my style... sooooooo... I got rid of it. Too many cameras... a girl needs a bit of privacy." There were a few chuckles from the crowd, to which was a bit off putting to some of the Trappers presents. A terrorist was one thing, a charismatic one was an enormous threat. Yuri continued on to say, "Yes, you hear that Ruling Party? I'm telling you where I am and where I'm setting up shop for this little skirmish. Because I don't feel this will amount to much of a fight. Your city is technology advanced no doubt. But your fighters are... pathetic,compared to the surface. Soft bodies, even softer minds. Easy work..."

When she said this the crowd was a little startled by her words, Ezo and Giz simply smiled, as they took their places among Houkou, and Godric and Vlad. Yuri looked at her nails, and then said, "So, I'm willing to make a deal, because there's no need for anymore unnecessary violence. I'll give you 3 hours to send an envoy. If you have trouble finding me? Just follow the flowers." As she said this, she and Vlad began to make one hand seals. Vlad stomped his foot, and Yuri simply raised a finger with her free hand. As she did this, a Dense forest sprang up the area where they were. Not only that, but in the middle of the forest, a giant tree exploded into the skyline to replace the building that was there.

As the three exploded upwards so to did the flower petals, that began to descend from the sky, and floated around the city. The Crowd gasped, as many of them held out their hands to grab hold of the petals. "We are not here to conquer... we are here to set you fre-" The broadcast was then cut off, as the Trappers began to calm and scatter the crowd. They were all beginning to get orders and reporting in. As this was happening Su, let out a chuckle, "That's the signal... everyone, mark a target, and blend with the crowd, do what you need to separate your target, kill them, and replace them. Report in with their name, when you are successful... Go." Su gave the command, and then the group would begin to fade into the panicking and boisterous crowd. Su on the other hand moved his way through the crowd, towards the main target.

As Su had said, the Trappers had all mean given word to move in on Yuri's location and to take down the Deviants gathered there. This order was given to every available man, including the ones guarding the portals. They all placed their Hand to their ears, and then they began to move out. Several of the took the doctor that was with them. And, placed the into a vehicle, before they left. Salihn, smiled and said, "Good this makes the first part of our Mission easy. However, we still need to be caution. Harue make sure to keep in eye out for any stragglers, or traps left for us, or any civilians in the area. Let's move." Salihn, then jumped down from her position as she began to make her way towards the portal, with Epsilon not far behind her.

[Inoryu]

    Inoryu was shook by the level of magnitude from the explosion and covered his eyes with his arm as the dust came in, it made for a more confusing environment. With his enchantments successful, he touched his hand over his heart and by casting another favour's focus on himself, it dismissed it from his person while leaving the enchantment active, effectively allowing him to continue to use favour's focus at will while negating the susceptibility to genjutsu. He calmly watched the broadcast and the production of a dense forest as he equipped his pristine umbrite helmet and used a thousand visages to make it appear as a plain and simple black headband tied to his forehead and trailing behind him one foot. He also equipped his pristine, umbrite breastplate and used a thousand visages to make it appear as the clothes he had procured when arriving in the city. When the broadcast was over, Su relayed his next order to the unit and Inoryu nodded. 

    The Yamanaka would blend in with the crowd [Disguise: 129] and target one of the remiss trappers that were trying to calm the crowd. He would get up very close to him to have a clear shot with the art of valentine jutsu, aimed through the unique oval hand seal of his clan and shot his conscious towards him when he was so close that he was absolutely sure that it wouldn't be interrupted by another. Once he had taken possession of the trapper's body, the trapper would reach into Inoryu's main pack and draw out manacles then proceed to move towards a private one-way alleyway around the corner.

    The victim would go as deep as he could into the alleyway, hide his weapon in a garbage dump and cuff himself to a metal railing out of range of his weapon. The art of valentine jutsu would end and Inoryu would move towards the previously possessed trapper's location. Once he saw the trapper there chained and helpless, Inoryu would cast the shinarashita jutsu, causing the victim to feel euphoria, a profound sense of tranquility and despite his situation, not sense any danger and consider every person as a friend or ally. As Inoryu stood over the victim with his induced strange grin and relaxed posture, he would ask, "What is your name, friend?"

Effect: The Yamanaka sends his or her mind into his or her opponent’s mind. Once in the opponent’s body they may manipulate it as much as they want.
Special: The Oval Hand seal directed at the opponent.
Drawback: The mind is only projected in a straight line, making it easy to dodge. If the mind transfer is dodged, the user’s body will be left comatose for at least three of the user’s posts. Any damage dealt to the possessed body will be suffered by the user’s body also.
Description: Directing the oval hand seal to their opponent, the Yamanaka is able to propel their mind into their opponent’s body. If the technique is successful the user can they manipulate the victim’s body. If the user has the same Class as the person possessed they may stay within the body for five posts. If the victim is higher Classed than the Yamanaka, then for every additional Class substract one post. If the victim is lower classed than the user, subtract for every additional Class one post. Description: A technique used in conjunction with any technique that allows a user fall onto the floor after performing. This technique was made with the Yamanaka technique to ensure stability in their legs and upper body so that the user does not simply fall after performing any of their techniques that allows them to just simply fall onto the floor. A simple technique, in which the user stiffens their body and focuses chakra into their legs while performing a technique that would normally make them fall. This chakra will keep them standing for several rounds even if the consciousness of the human mind and body was disconnected. This technique was formed to allow a user seem asleep, or standing up without drawing attention to them.
Limit: Must be part of the Yamanaka Clan.

Shinarishita no Jutsu

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: This jutsu causes the victim to instantly feel a sense of tranquility and very calm. As long as the user maintains the handseal, the victim will not feel intimidated at all and will feel as though they are in a state of euphoria. The victim is unable to sense any danger and will believe anyone around to be a friend/ally.
Special: Handseals
Drawback: If the seal is broken, the victim will instantly know what is going on. Also, the user may not use any other jutsu while this one is in play. Also, the effectiveness would vary from personality to personality.
Description: The user will form the needed handseals and then face the last hand seal at the victim. The victim will suddenly gain a strange grin on their face and their posture will relax. The user can now persuade the victim to help them out if necessary or to give them information.

There were plenty of ways that Yuri could stir a distraction or signal, but Harue knew her and knew that it would be extremely showy and perhaps a little unnecessary. Of course, she wasn't wrong.

Squinting at the pair cast upon all the odd display screens, Harue couldn't quite understand who they were. How did this correlate to the explosion that was so obviously Yuri's? Harue had seen Yuri's destructive affinity firsthand and had come to recognize her showmanship, and this was all so seemingly extraordinary for this strange world that Harue had no doubt it was all connected to Yuri and their invasion at the focal point. Maybe they should have just turned tail and left this poor world-within-a-world to its own abusive devices. Who were they to try and force a new perspective on this society? They were germs to these people.

Harue's face twists into a disgusted grimace. Perhaps these were the germs and the 'surface ninja' have come here to wipe them off the ass of the dimensional planes. They're losers!

Just as they reveal they have 'proof', Harue heaves a heavy groan. Honestly, her cheeks turn a little pink as the strange pair begin spewing on about how these surfacers were better and whatever. Not that they were wrong, just that it was embarrassing to be singled out as a advanced type of human compared to the technologically advanced strangers. And the cinematography of it all was so dramatic Harue wanted to giggle, but swallowed it in favor of looking through her Tasukeru upon the scientists and guards down in the portal. Should they be acting now? Were they distracted as well? Apparently it would have been no use, because they all left pretty hastily after Yuri's endearing message had been cut out. Maybe Yuri had inspired a few hearts before she'd been so rudely silenced. 

"Of course," Harue says respectfully in response to the team leader, though her attention is still pulled outwards. Her feverish paranoia made for a perfect scout, her Tasukeru picking up the smallest detail in her 200 meter scope. She was keen to anything out of place as she followed at Salihn's heels. This was going... smoothly, considering the circumstances.

Inoryu was successful in possessing the body of the Trapper, everything went according to plan. Though even in this alley, with all the confusion, he wouldn't have much time before he drew attention to himself. He'd have only a few moments before someone would notice them in the alleyway, or one of the other trappers noticed his missing. The others of the group would be experience much the same time table as Inoryu. The Man looked up at the boy with a smile on his face, that was hidden behind his helmet, that most of the Trappers wore, "I'm Zarkray Abilon... who are you? Why am tied up." He man then chuckled as his he looked over at his arm bound body. He looked back over at Inoryu and began to chuckle once again.

Inoryu had very little time to get as much information out of the man as he could, to convincingly pose as the man, at least for the rest of the day.

At Harue's location, things were indeed going smoothly. Salihn and Epsilon were busy, Epsilon going through the data at the portal and Salihn, was busy, setting up explosives at key locations. As Harue continued to scout the area, she saw something a bit worrying. The vehicle that had just left stopped some 180 meters away, at a grouping of other Trappers. Several of the men got out of the Vehicle, and 4 of them would begin to start walking back towards the their direction, as the several of the the men they were talking to hopped into the vehicle and continued on down the road. Epislon looked over his shoulder and then said, "I'm getting information on the location, the Doctor was speaking on back at base, I will need just a couple of minutes, to fully decipher the data, to find the exact location. Please Stand By."

Standing guard with her pink steed at her feet, they both felt a shift in the atmosphere. While Ōmo can simply smell a particular sense of danger wafting towards them, Harue can see as strange men approach in a strange kind of motorized vehicle. She still wasn't used to the cars and mechanical constructions that were littered so liberally across this realm. Hoping that it might be nothing more than passersby, Harue focuses on them with a stilled stance silently. Ōmo, sensing her sudden focus and anticipation, rubs his head into her hip as he stands at the ready.

"We may not have a couple of minutes." Harue says with a tone of mild disappointment, walking pointedly across the room to Salihn so she doesn't have to speak loudly. Not that the approaching men could hear. Yet. "There are 4 lifeforms coming our way, about 180 meters. Closing in moderately. They have the same vitals as those guards who left with the doctors." Looking to Epsilon from her spot beside Salihn, Harue gestures vaguely to his operation. "Can you, uh.. Speed up the process at all?" Harue's brain works a mile a minute, countless possibilities filling her senses almost distractingly. Could Epsilon pretend to be on their side? Could they pretend to be prisoners, already trapped? Could they hide, could they paralyze them? She watches them closely, far away from Salihn and Epsilon now as she waits for them to pull her back down to Earth with a plan.

So sorry for the delay, I thought I had read the thread already without signing in so when I noticed "new" when I signed in, I thought didn't think it was actually used. Please forgive me.

    Inoryu was pleased that everything was going according to plan, but he knew that he had to be quick. He considered the detainee's situational awareness; a trapper under the influence of shinarashita no jutsu. The ninjutsu makes his feel open and considers anyone around him to be a friend or ally, so his information was mostly trustworthy. The only thing he considered might still be cause for deception was if he were some kind of double agent for the deviants and the target divulged his true name rather than his cover. Was it likely though? As a precaution, Inoryu would say, " I know what you are and I need you to be honest." Of course, while under the effects of the shinarashita, Zarbay would consider Inoryu to be an ally, and if he were undercover for the deviants, that truth would be divulged. However, if it wasn't so, the influence of his shinarashita would allow him to proceed without hindrance. 

    Regardless of the trapper's reaction, Inoryu still had things he needed to know and would continue with the debrief. "What is your moniker, if you have one. What is your ID number, if you have one. What is your call sign, if you have one. What is the weapon you possess, tell me everything you can about your weapon including how it functions and how to use it." Once these answers have been answered, Inoryu would determine how to proceed. Through the oval hand seal of the Yamanaka clan, Zarbay Akilon was still under the influence of the shinarashita. As far as Inoryu knew, there was no way for Zarbay to undermine its influence.

End of the First Curse

Problems, one by one, became less and less. Their goal became clearer, and a determined swell fell on all of their shoulders. Salihn's unit took care of each remaining portal and those who came to guard it with ease and Epsilon gathered information from each transmitter coupled at the transportational checkpoints. They pieced together a story slowly. Harue, observing the crowds as they moved, saw a particular spike in the population. A certain something that gave her hope. It was that hope that encouraged her to speak up before they move off from their last checkpoint. She looks to Salihn firmly, and then Epsilon. "Lady Yuri seems to have stirred confidence. There are crowds coming together for the first time since we've been here. Like they're responding to the message..." Harue turns her head in the direction of the closest riot. "Let's go address some masses of our own."

Inoryu had needed assistance with the interrogation of an obnoxiously overzealous and pompous man, but Su's group eventually reconciled with a conclusion. It was grave and weighed on their heads, but they had to keep it under their tongues until they could relay it to Yuri. Or at the very least cross check it with the memories and thoughts of another. Regardless, they were successful in an attempt to replace themselves with a fraction of the Ruling Party.

The two units, after completing their directives, converged on Yuri's location where she dealt with the Ruling Party. Apparently they didn't take too kindly to her proposition and only wanted to wipe her off of their grid. With Su's team dosed in the impersonations of officials and Salihn's team leading an army of fresh rebels responding to Yuri's promise of freedom, the Ruling Party was dealt with swiftly. The last of their sent warriors lead them unwillingly to the base, where the real showdown begins. Harue urges for a diplomatic approach but the majority rules for force and pillage.

"The time for revolution has come," is a chant coaxed from the crowd surrounding the few who have not died or turned on their Ruling peers, tormented by the stink of their sins against the people of the town.

Before a ruling on the Ruling Party can be made, Yuri needs all the details. She looks to Inoryu for the answers and Epsilon fills in the gaps of his findings. Disturbing was that the Ruling Party had laid a curse upon the lying roots. For centuries they siphoned the potential prowess derived from their innate abilities from the city. With that harnessed power, they'd waged war against two other amazing spectacles of dimensions - one beneath the surface of the raging waters of Tamon-ten, and a second in the heavens.

"The curse is easy," Yuri smirks. "I can remove it and swallow it, and return it... to you," she looks to the wild rapper leaders of the Deviants, then to the rest of the army of city folk who'd been gathered to join the fight. "And it is up to all of you what happens to the remaining loyalists of the Ruling Party. The oppressors."

After it's agreed upon that they be imprisoned and face the possibility of death, a couple tried to plead for a chance. It was too late for them though - their loyalty fluctuated only in the face of punishment. Vlad berates them for their pathetic lack of integrity.

Yuri swallows the curse upon the city, imbuing the habitats of their small world with a power they were supposed to have. Many of them are extremely happy with this conclusion, many of the deviants deciding to take the place of the Ruling Party and dubbing themselves the "Liberators" instead. It was to shed the idea of rebellion and destroy the hierarchy. They planned to work harmoniously with the city so that they could all progress as a society.

But Yuri wanted something more. She announced an offer. Anyone who had been of the Deviants, anyone who had stepped forward to assist in the dethroning of the oppressors, were allowed to cross back into their world with them and join the ranks of the Kusagakure village. They would be looked upon with respect as Jonin and granted a freedom in ranks they didn't have before. Only a few denied - some stayed true to their home world simply to pursue a better future for it and the coming generations. Epsilon offered himself to Yuri and the village as well, but she smiles warmly and tells him she needs him here. After all... "We'll be back. Next we go swimming, then we go flying. We're gonna settle this war. We need you here, Epsy. Keep our base in shape." Winking at him, she places him in charge. Harue takes time to say goodbye to him as well. She winks at him too and lets him know she prefers the non-human form.

It was time to go home and ready themselves for the next step of this hell of an arc.
